Co-Vid19 Update: * We have ALWAYS wiped every surface with CDC-approved Chlorox Cleaner + Bleach, AND washed all blankets/covers with HOT water after EVERY guest; * Keypad (no human interaction:) check-in - safer than hotel! * Always a 5-hour interval between guests (24 hrs. Available for longer stay guests upon request). * Changes: 1) gloves for housekeeping; 2) we provide bottled water instead of Brita; 3) we offer single-use Keurig coffee capsules. * Help with delivery possible.
1. ACCESSIBILITY: * Front door - flat path from driveway - then one step up to doorway & another step over threshold. * Once inside - 2 steps up to dining/kitchen area, & also 2 steps up to main floor den/bedroom area with attached toilet/sink - standard size door & fixtures. Note there are no doors on the two entryways to this area (the entryway from kitchen has no steps). Tim slept here while convalescing from hip replacement surgery. * The only shower/bath is on second floor with standard 13-step stairway. 2. INTERNET: We have fast (100 mbps download) Xfinity/Comcast wireless internet & basic cable TV. Our Vizio TV comes with a ROKU so guests are welcome to use their own Netflix or Hulu, etc. or attach their Smartphone to our HDMI cable (you will need your own adaptor). 3. EARLY CHECKIN/LATE CHECKOUT: Keep in mind we are always close to 100% occupancy, which means that there is almost always one or multiple guests (up to 6) before & after you - so often we need the entire 11-4 housekeeping window - message Michelle with your request the evening before if possible (at which point we will have latest info). 4. NO SMOKING (or open flames, candles, “scents” allowed inside (or within 30 ft. of building); 4. CHECKING OUT: No need to make beds, do dishes, etc. (in fact we prefer if you don’t:) - just message Michelle when you are ready to leave, set the heat to 60F in winter, close all windows, and make sure to lock the front door. Thanks & Enjoy!
Finn Street (at King St.) is also steps (heading away from the center of town) from MacDonald's, Taco Bell/KFC, Moe's Stop 'n Shop (large grocery store with a Starbuck's:), Liquor's 44 (large discount liquor store) - with a small package store 50' across the street. We are located in the City of Northampton - so although our home is quieter than our downtown hotels - there is some street noise during busy traffic:) 13 Finn Street is 1/2 mile from the center of America's #1 Small Liberal Arts Town - AKA "Lesbianville, USA" - and now one of America's Top 10 Adventure Towns! COVID update: nearly all Northampton restaurants do offer takeout & delivery - yay!

  • I got this Air BnB to see the bulb show, knowing how reasonable the price was. The bulb show was canceled, but the experience was still great. If you’re flexible and relaxed, the location is perfect to walk to town, a reasonable drive to fun things. The communication is great and clear. It was perfect for what we wanted and such a great value.

  • This is such an amazing location. The apartment is beautiful and quiet. The bed is amazingly comfortable. These hosts provide special touches I never would have expected. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This entire experience working with and communicating with Roxana and Zach was so simple and fast.

  • No bells and whistles - just a private and clean space close to Cottage Street in Easthampton. You have off-street parking, your own entrance, private bathroom with shower, and control your own thermostat. Roxana was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had, and it felt just right for the price.

Large apartment with lots of light. It has a steam shower, modern tub and close to everything in Florence. The electric assisted bike depot will be a 5 min walk coming up in late April or early May! There are 2 Airbnb’s in the building so I ask everyone to be thoughtful of others. Also there are 2 small cats that share the same entrance. They are super sweet.
  • Loved it!

    Meghan2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful! Beautiful space, clean, so welcoming, an absolute gem!! And, the shower is ABSOLUTELY incredible!

    Jillian2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia's place was perfect for our visit to the Northampton MA area. The apartment is light-filled, spacious, and clean -- with everything you would want to enjoy your time there. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. The location, Florence, MA, is a charming town with a great diner, lovely vegan restaurant, and excellent used book store. Our group -- two couples -- was happy and comfortable. Virginia was very responsive to our questions and helped with information. We hope to return. Thank you, Virginia

    Zoe2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible amenities aside, there is just something about Ginny's place that is unlike any other. I guess maybe it's the art and beautiful color in every room? The history evident in the building? The spacious common room? huge windows? In any case, it was a DREAM to spend time there for 2 nights. Quiet yet near all necessities a block away.

    Elena2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great space with amazing amenities! Would stay here again, and definitely loved the steam shower. Was great to be within walking distance from some awesome spots as well!

    Kristen2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia has a comfy spacious spot to enjoy. I recommend this place for it's easy accessibility, steam shower, big tub and inviting space.

    Victoria2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in! The fireplace was cozy and the rain shower and tub were amazing! Beautiful and stylish space that were a luxury to be in! The host was also very gracious in answering questions and extending hospitality. Thank you for a remarkable experience! I wish all Airbnb's could be this spectacular!!

    Carrie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The space is very lovely–exposed beams and brick and remnants of the original architectural details. Virginia has decorated it tastefully and included nice touches, such as yoga mats, an electric tea kettle, and a record player (!). The shower is amazing and I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy a soak in the tub. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm enough on a cold winter night.

Second floor apartment down town Florence. 2-3 blocks from Brew Practitioner, Cafe Evolution and the Pie Bar. Steep stair entering the apartment. One bedroom on the 2nd floor and a loft with 2 beds on the 3rd floor. There are 2 other units so being thoughtful about noise is appreciated. Late April early May the electric assisted bike depot should be up and running. 5 min walk $1.50 per hour. : ) Ginny
  • Very fun decorated space super close to Northampton! We also enjoyed that it was walking distance from a brewery.

    Regina2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We were only staying for one evening but Virginia's space was such a unique and fun spot to escape to! We loved the different levels of the space as well as all the quirky decorating touches :) The apartment is well equipped if you want to stay in and cook. The place was super clean and very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!

  • This loft style apartment was very comfortable and cute! Very close to cute towns and made an awesome little stop for me and my friends on our spring vacation!

    Jaida2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic and as a frequent traveler to Northampton I can’t wait to come back and stay here again. It’s a great space. Thanks, Virginia!

  • This place is awesome. Crazy high ceilings, cool industrial style. Master bed is very comfortable. Would definitely consider this place if you’re staying for multiple days. 10/10 would book again.

    Jake2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place!

    Christopher2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia's place activates all my Northampton nostalgia. Interesting art, exposed brick walls, and a loft? I'm in love. Add to that Cooper's, the Freckled Fox, and Pie Bar around the corner, and you get perfection. Ginny was very communicative and helpful as we tried to pick out the best of her properties for our small get-together. I'd come back any day!

    Kelsie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place! It is a beautiful, very comfortable place to stay. We were in town for a concert in Northampton and it was a a 6 minute drive to the venue. Virginia left great recommendations, and the neighborhood was so peaceful. I hope to come again!

Blue Room has a queen bed for up to a 10 day stay. 5 blocks to downtown Northampton(Amtrak/Peter Pan), 15 min. stroll to Smith, & 5 min. to PVTA local bus stop. The Blue Room and shared full bath are upstairs, and guests are welcome to spend time in the kitchen/living room, or explore the house. I have 2 guest rooms, and other friends, family and artists often stop by during the day . My cat, Blue and I are the full-time occupants. Includes on-site parking. Twin air mattress also available.
Home was built in 1785, moved to current location around 1840. I am the seventh owner in 230 years (!) and I have been slowly restoring it. We have a small yard, ample parking, screened in back porch.
We are in Ward 3 of Northampton, close to the historic cemetery. A quiet, family-oriented, old-Northampton part of town, about a seven minute walk to the center, and about the same distance to the fairgrounds.
  • Funky old home circa 1675 or so. Very cool. Super convenient to downtown.

  • I loved staying in the Blue Room in Athena's home. I felt welcome, safe and cared for. I appreciated the feeling of privacy and rest that the private room provided. The room is exactly as described and as it appears in Athena's photos. The bed and pillows are comfortable, the sunlight in the room is beautiful, the shared bathroom is fine. Parking is no stress, as you just park in back of the house. A restaurant and a good coffee shop are right around the corner, a two-minute walk away and it's an easy 10-minute walk to the main streets of town. Athena is lovely, friendly, positive, relaxed, welcoming, kind. I would stay with her again.

    Caroline2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Athena is warm and communicative! Check-in was a breeze and her home is extremely conveniently located to downtown Northampton. I'll definitely be back!

    Christine2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Athena’s place is such a great home with wonderful touches of classic NE living. She’s got a convenient location to the surrounding shops and eateries, so staying a few days for work was pleasant experience. I highly recommend staying here, and have already confirmed times to go back again and stay. Enjoy yours!

    Adam2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Athena's house is magical! It is just around the corner from Joe's Pizza House, which my son loves to visit. It is a charming house, very comfortable and clean and Athena is the best host. We keep returning to her every time we visit Northampton.

Our place is on a gentle flowing river, close to waterfalls, walks and the Berkshire cultural sites like Tanglewood and Jacobs Pillow . You’ll love our place because of the river, the deck, the hot tub; complete tranquility and a home away from home. Close to some great sites and activities, far enough away to escape. Our place is good for couples, friends and solo adventurers. Snowboarders/Skiers (or snow bunnies) and families can have great fun too! Sit back, relax and enjoy our home!
  • I highly recommend this stay. This cozy house on the riverside is great for people who love hiking, skiing or chilling in the water. The house has more than you would ever need. I cant wait to go back!

    Dylan2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place. Amazing host. Amazing trip. The house is very clean and relaxing with everything you could need. Great place to getaway, clear your mind, and relax.

    Jay2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The home was in a quiet neighborhood, was very clean, and cozy. The hot tub was an amazing bonus, especially being able to relax in it and listen to the river. Wonderful weekend get away!

    Ellen2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Patrick and Fiona’s home! It was impeccably clean, large and comfortable. Lots of old home character. The river is lovely, and the hot tub was highly enjoyable. Just enough personal touches around the house to make it feel homey and give you an idea of the owners adventuresome spirits, without feeling like you’re an intruder. Very pleasant and relaxing place to stay! Carrie & Wade

    Carrie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great!! Right on a good size brook, with views from the hot tub. Had everything to allow us to cook ourselves or go out. Cable, and Wifi for the rainy days. Lee outlets right down the road. We will be coming back!!

    Eric2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • I only rate this as "exactly as I expected" because this is our third time staying here! We are frequent AirBnB'ers, and this is the FIRST AirBnB we've ever stayed at more than once. That should speak for itself. (You can read my previous two reviews for more details.) Always a relaxing getaway at Patrick's place. Thank you again, Patrick!

    Meg & Stefan2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Patrick and Fiona are such wonderful hosts... very quick to communicate and share a wealth of local knowledge and recommendations that make staying at their lovely ‘small mountain town’ retreat a memorable escape. Their place is packed full of everything that you will need to just move in, make a tasty French Press coffee and take in the sights and sounds of the Berkshires.

    David2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Patrick’s home is an incredible getaway in a remote area of Western Mass. The space was sparkling clean and much bigger than we anticipated. The shining star of the property was the patio out back. Settle into the private hot tub and let the ambiance of the babbling brook melt away your stresses. Make sure to do some grocery shopping in advance as the nearest stores and restaurants are about 30 minutes away. We had a lovely time and would definitely return in the future.

Experience farm life at our secluded permaculture homestead. Cozy, clean and comfortable and just across the street from the animal barn which houses our horses, goats, sheep, ducks, chickens and livestock guardian dog (all super friendly and VERY into cuddles). Conveniently located just minutes from Amherst town center (4 miles). A perfect woodland getaway with easy access to the Robert Frost Trail and Metacomet Monadnock Trail.
Our farm is located on a quiet, rural dirt road, surrounded by forest and edged by a babbling brook. Here, my mother and I, as well as a crew of seasonal interns, work to realize a vision for our 13 acres in which the land both provides for our survival needs and is made healthier in the process. You can help support this vision by staying with us! Built in 1812, our farm house is rustic, though well kept. The bedroom itself is separate from the other downstairs living spaces and has a private feel. Our friendly flat coat retriever, Oscar, though an outdoor dog, will greet you as you arrive. Our Border collie, Elka, and Havanese, Pumpkin, spend their nights inside and will happily snuggle you by the fire in the evenings. Clearly, being an animal lover is a must for this farm stay.
We are a 5 min drive from Cushman Market and Cafe. There are also many miles of hiking trails that are accessible through our backyard.
  • So very comfortable and homey I loved staying in Travelers Rest. So so many great books, and a very hospitable, grounded and friendly vibe. I will definitely stay here again. The animals & location are a definite bonus. Zoe is a fantastic host

    Nicole2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely place! Relaxing, filled to the brim with interesting books, and home to several very friendly dogs. This homestead is nestled on a quiet backroad and within walking distance to the Robert Frost trail. Zoe and family made me feel welcome, and I will definitely be back when I’m in the area!

    Michelle2020-03-10T00:00:00Z

Couldn't have asked for a better place to have a bit of respite. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and the animals were lovely. Would love to come stay again.

Cozy third floor apartment with a view of the tree tops! One bedroom with a comfy king size bed. Big windows, lots of light and nice views of the neighborhood.
There is a kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, coffee makers, electric tea kettle, toaster (not a full kitchen, but you can do some cooking). I also provide coffee and k-cups, milk, almond milk, and breakfast bars. Big bathroom with a shower stall (no bathtub), two sinks, granite counter, and a vanity. TV with basic cable, exercise ball and yoga mat. This is a three-quarter story apartment, and extra tall people might feel a little cramped. Many people enjoy the feeling of closeness, though, and really like it!
The neighborhood is close to the urban center and there are upsides and (what might be considered) downsides to that. It's an easy walk to downtown, so you don't have to worry about finding parking in the busy downtown area if you are up for a 5-10 minute walk. There's some traffic noise from the street during morning and evening rush hours. Every once in awhile, there's a city event that you will notice because of people gathering, or you will be able to hear the goings on. Other than that it's a quiet neighborhood of mostly families, and some students. You will notice lots of people walking with dogs and children during the day. A lot of people have nice gardens, and most of the houses are maintained nicely.
  • it is nice

  • Pleasantly surprised at how clean, spacious this Airbnb was and all the decorative touches, amenities it included. Great location - near many great restaurants! Kitchen had everything we needed for breakfast. Huge bathroom! Highly recommend.

  • Susan's place is fantastic--clean, quiet, and extremely welcoming. The apartment has everything you might need for a short or even long stay, it is convenient to downtown Northampton, the bed is super comfortable, and there is even a yoga setup in the huge sunny bathroom. We especially appreciated all the snacks and breakfast foods. We will be back!

  • What a sweet and comfortable space! Seeing the sunrise above the trees was delightful. Spent most of our time in Noho, but we truly enjoyed coming back to the apartment to relax in this welcoming, impeccably clean, and cozy spot that Susan has created. We will certainly return!

  • If you’re looking for a dog-friendly place to stay, look no further! Susan’s place is spotless, beautifully decorated and incredibly cozy. I just wish I could have stayed more than one night!

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
The Farm is a cozy home with a new wood stove (with a fan) in the dining room open to the living room. Off the first floor bedroom is a door to a HUGE deck, hot tub and gas grill. There is lots of seating indoors and out and a lovely front porch. The farm has a nostalgic feel with new amenities. There is NO on street parking. The parking area will hold 4/5 cars and when there is no snow it is ok to park on the lawn. Hope to hear from you and please read the reviews. : ) Best, Ginny
  • The Farmhouse had everything we needed for our stay. Communication with Virginia was easy and she responded quickly when we had questions. The hot tub was especially nice.

    Stacy2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at the farmhouse: the porch & hot tub were outstanding, house was spacious & beautifully decorated, and the location is excellent - super convenient. Will stay again!

    Karen2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a delight as was the wood-stove. The front porch was perfect for lounging and watching the world while curled up under a blanket. Such a nice stay!

    Julia2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Ginny’s place is a gem! It’s the perfect size for a small family or group of friends. I visited with two friends to relax and get some work done together. Being able to cozy up on the big couch, each have our own bedrooms, and then relax in the hot tub at the end of the night was a perfect mini-getaway. Heating in the house was wonderful on a chilly winter day and we are already trying to see when we can come back in the warmer months to utilize the huge front porch! The kitchen is also spacious and well equipped, we had such a fun time cooking together in this home.

  • Had a great weekend really enjoyed the hot tub

  • Absolutely wonderful place to relax and unwind. The place has everything. The jacuzzi was exactly what we needed! And Ginny was a wonderful host, loved the little extra touches. Couldn't thank her enough. If you get a chance go into town. Cute little shops, very artsy feel, great architecture, and lots of places to eat!! Really really looking forward to staying there again!

  • This bed and breakfast is in a great location, convenient to downtown Northampton and surrounding towns. The stay included not only a private bedroom and bath, but a sitting area and kitchen as well. A hot breakfast is available each morning. The house is very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast if visiting the area!

  • Loved our stay at Elm Street Inn. The suite is much roomier and comfortable than it looks in the photos. Great parking and private entrance. All the amenities you would need to stay in and cook and watch a movie or walk into town a short walk away. The lovely home cooked breakfast delivered at our door, the fully working fireplace with wood provided and the amazingly comfortable kind size bed made this a truly wonderful romantic winter getaway. Thank you Katherine and Robert for being the most perfect hosts!

    Jessie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Book it! One of the best Airbnb experiences I have had. So much really useable space. Made working remotely so easy especially due to great wifi. Outstanding location for Smith College and downtown. Excellent off-street parking (hard to find in this location). Wonderful old-time charm with modern conveniences like nice bathroom, microwave and mini-fridge. Friendly and very accommodating hosts (brought us ice for my daughter’s injured knee). Tasty and artfully presented breakfast delivered to your room. I am so disappointed that I discovered this when my daughter has only a few months until graduation!

  • We had the best getaway and love Katherine and Robert's apartment and B&B! They are amazing hosts, responding immediately, starting the fireplace for us, and the BREAKFAST! WOW! So Yummy! The Creation Station is the community building on our property. It is a large barn with a full kitchen, full bath, fire pit and a full sound stage. This space is private to guests during their stay. Our property has a peacock, chickens, several perennial gardens and trails to explore. We are 2 miles from downtown and 1 mile from the Manhan Rail trail which offers over 40 miles of continuous off road biking.
The Creation Station is cozy and warm. It was built with local lumber and recycled materials. There are lot's of windows to let in the natural sunlight. Update: This year we have built a Winter Wonderland on our property. We have a 1/4 mile trail that can be illuminated on request so guests can take a stroll at night through the woods. See the new photos for a preview!
Our neighborhood is quiet and mellow. There is a playground 1 block away.
  • A cool laid back space. John was a great host, very hands on and present. He gave us lots of recommendations for eating in town and was visible and communicative throughout our stay. We enjoyed our daily chats. The space is everything you need for a chill evening full of music and a cozy fire.

    Grace2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was exactly what I needed. I was able to get away and sit by the fire with my dogs. The space has a stage musical instruments, amps, books and sheet music. If you are a musician, this place would be attractive to you. It’s very rustic so you should be prepared to bring wood and warm clothing in the winter. The wood burning stove works great but this is New England and it might not be enough heat for some. John was very hospitable and his animals (peacocks, chickens and his own dog) on the property was great to see too. I would stay again!

    Kyrah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • John's Creation Station is one of a kind. Between the huge indoor fire pit, fully loaded rock & roll stage and the magical light up trail, we thourougly enjoyed every moment. John is super chill and a truely genuine person. He had great suggestions for places to eat; I believe the restaurant we ate at was called Riff's (delicious food, friendly service & close to to the INSA dispensary). We had all the help we needed from him & privacy at the same time. John's place is also very dog friendly which we always appreciate. The Creation Station was the trip back in time that we needed from our busy lives. Thanks again!

  • This was the second year we rented the Creation Station for the weekend of my daughter’s Birthday Party. She attends college in the area and this property offers the perfect two day peaceful retreat from campus life, capped off with a great Birthday party with her friends. The kitchen is well equipped allowing me to cook a three course meal for them to consume before everyone gathers around the “fireplace” to make s’mores. John is a great host, always greeting us, explaining new features, and when he is not working, offering help moving items in or out. A great low key and unique get away.

    Melissa2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second visit to The Creation Station. John is an amazing host and has set up an environment that is perfect for focusing on music. We will be back again!

Comfortable, clean, quiet room with a private bathroom. Minutes away from our vibrant little city -- and yet with countryside at the doorstep. Lovely deck, yard, and nearby hiking and skiing trails. We love hosting and we take our hosting seriously to make our guests happy and comfortable. We work hard to make our home clean, have a professional cleaner, and disinfect surfaces on a regular basis.

Quiet country setting with spacious deck, ample yard with hammock, walking fields and trails. 10 minutes to downtown and Smith College and just 25 minutes to U Mass-Amherst! Northampton is one of the most interesting small cities in America, featuring coffee houses, over 40 restaurants, galleries and concert venues. The Pioneer Valley is great for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and of course dining, music, and shopping. Ideal for parents, family members and alumni visiting the five colleges and for those who love New England in any season. Our airbnb is LGBTQ friendly. We have flat-screen TV in the bedroom too with cable and Netflix. Wifi too. If you want the house warmer or cooler, just ask. And be sure to lounge on our secluded deck or hammock. While we do not offer use of our stove/oven, feel free to use the refrigerator and microwave. You were also welcome to use our plates, glasses, and silverware. Checkout by 10:00 a.m. Looking forward to meeting you!
It has a little of everything here -- a small city with every convenience, and yet beautiful fields, trees, sunsets.
  • The location is ten minutes from downtown, and has that “out-in-the-country” feel. Rachael and David are thoughtful hosts, providing great towels, a comfy bed and coffee in the morning. The house is easy to get to via GPS. The bedroom and bath are around the corner from the dining room, and are quite private from the rest of the house. There is a small heater in case the room gets too cool (it did; it’s winter after all!), but the lovely sheets and coverlet kept me warm and toasty. There is a refrigerator where I could store the food I brought, and they were very amenable to my quick use of their microwave. A great spot!

    Arian Eigen2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rachael and Davis are great hosts! Their place is very clean and well laid out for Airbnb guests! Nice quiet rural location, but also close to many restaurants and cultural attractions and nature preserves.

  • A very nice house and a very cozy room! The house locates in a very quiet position and just several mins drive from the town. Very easy to communicate with Rachael and David.

  • Rachael's home is a great space a short distance from Northampton. She kindly offered us breakfast on the morning of our stay.

    Allison2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Rachael and David were great hosts - and interesting people; the setting is great with the surrounding woods, field and babbling brook not far away. We really enjoyed our visit! The place was really clean... And, a really pleasant aspect was no chemical-laden fragrances!

  • Tidy room, comfortable bed, private bate, spotless, comfortable, and quiet.

    Michael2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Rachael & David’s home. They were both Awesome! We had some wonderful conversations and they were always making sure I was doing fine. Their home is Beautiful and I loved the room and my own private bathroom. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!!

    Caesar2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Rachael and David welcomed us into their home for a wonderful stay. We had our own hallway, bedroom, and bathroom. The location is just beautiful, right on the edge of a meadow and forest, so perfect for getting away from the sounds and lights of the city. But also just a 10 min drive to town! I woke up to the sounds of many diverse birds and it made me so happy. Also the sky at night was breathtaking— so clear and filled with stars! Rachael and David had to leave in the morning but they prepared an amazing breakfast for us! They also left clear instructions for our stay and a list of places to eat in town. Their cats, Lola and Sophie, were so sweet and adorable. Everything we needed was provided and it felt so cozy. I loved the selection of books!! Rachael and David made us feel so welcome . We would like to return in the summertime to stay again!!

  • So much good to say about Dean and his house. By far the best B&B I have stayed in for the money. Dean leaves so many amenities for guests. What impressed me was a pair of reading glasses for guests. If you ever forget yours you will appreciate this little gesture. All the toys and his abstract paintings were a delight to study.

    Donna2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Dean is an amazing host, with tons of stories about Holyoke and all the different artifacts in the home. The room itself is spacious and comes with many amenities including books and games if you get stuck inside because of the cold weather or rain. Access to the art studio was a great touch and helped us reconnect to our artistic sides and this came through because Dean shared his own experiences. The location is really close to the trails of Mt. Tom and to a couple of local shops in town which are down the block. It's not too far from downtown Holyoke (about a 20 min walk).

    Jorge2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Dean's space is beautiful, warm and peaceful, with great color everywhere and a delightful collection of art and artefacts. It's extremely convenient to the interstate but at the same time quiet. Dean gave me two tips (about local places for minor car repairs and breakfast) that saved me time and money. Very thoughtful details, as well.

    Cleo2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Dean is a kind and caring host. House is awesome, really an art and antique museum. Room was clean and comfortable. Wished I had more time here and will definitely be back.

  • I had a really nice stay. Dean was a really great host and the place was very thoughtfully put together. Will surely book again the next time I am in the area.

  • Dean was a lovely host. The whole house is very artistic. Interesting things to see everywhere. We were in such a rush we didn't have time to visit more, and wished we could have.

  • Perfect location. Very cozy room in a cozy house. Eric, the host, is very gracious and kind with a lot of knowledge of the goings on in town.

  • Great location, in the middle of town. Private room in a large family home. Everyone was friendly and warm. Super safe place. It kind of reminded me of my home growing up - lots of sports equipment, games and photos all over the place - a real family home. Don't expect it to look like a hotel! The bed was good and there was a space heater and extra blankets in case I got cold. Perfect for what I needed. Thx!

Enjoy this cozy, tucked away space in South Amherst, with easy access to the Five Colleges, shopping, interstate 91, route 116 and Route 9.
  • Carol and Erold provide a wonderful space that is clean, bright and comfortable. The beds and pillows are good quality and the appliances are all new and work well. There are plenty of plush towels, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, some cleaning supplies and quality soap (shower, bathroom sink and dish detergent). I particularly enjoyed that eco-friendly products were provided. Additionally, the shower has excellent pressure. Basic amenities like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, teas, some condiments, cooking oil, etc were also available, which was a very nice touch. The communication was easy and fast and Carol made sure to check on how the stay was going after we got settled (through Airbnb website). The location was absolutely perfect too. It was a 7 minute drive into Amherst centre but far enough away to be nice a quite. I would highly recommend a stay at the Bailey’s Apartment.

    Chelsea2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nice location!

    Mia2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The place of Carol and Erold is even better than we can see in the pictures! Everything was clean, organised and working. I spent 7 days with my husband and baby and we felt very comfortable. We do recommend the place!

  • Look no further...Carol and Erold's place is a great home away from home. The location is located with quick access to Amherst, Northampton, and South Hadley (all within a 10-15 minute drive). The peacefulness, quiet, and amenities were perfect for a weeklong getaway in Western MA. Their airbnb has a full kitchen, great bathroom, two rooms, and a living room space. It was a great stay and I'd definitely return when/if I'm in the area again.

High on a mountain in 103 acres of forest, hiking trails and a wildlife pond, the Eagles Nest--2 room suite, ensuite bathroom, balcony, cupola, and private entrance--overlooks the beautiful Pioneer Valley. Come to rest, create, renew.
A perfect retreat in every season-- & in winter, it's best to drive an AWD vehicle! High on a mountainside in the midst of 103 acres of bird-filled forest, walking/skiing trails and a small pond for wildlife, Patchwork Farm Retreat in Westhampton MA overlooks the beautiful Pioneer Valley. The Eagles Nest is the whole top floor of the main Patchwork Cottage and has its own private entrance. It is a lovely suite of two rooms, plus ensuite bathroom, covered roof-top cupola and private balcony. The suite holds court over a garden, wide terraces and an ancient Ginkgo tree. As necessary, ceiling fans, central air and heat keep the Eagles Nest wonderfully comfortable. The larger of two rooms of Eagles Nest suite is a bed-sitting room with ceiling fan, extra-comfy queen-sized bed, reading chair, walls of windows, and built-in cherry bookshelves. Stairs pull from the ceiling to give access to a covered, lighted cupola above the Eagles Nest. It commands a panoramic view of the Pioneer Valley, Mt. Tom, the Holyoke Range, and Connecticut River. Eagles Nest guests have used the cupola to practice yoga, sleep, read, drink coffee at dawn and share wine with their friends at sunset. The suite's adjoining room has a private outside entrance, extra-comfy single futon bed, small closet, writing desk and chair, cabinets, small refrigerator, water dispenser, microwave, coffee/tea setup, lots of built-in shelves, glasses and dishes, and an elevator to other levels of house. A solid wooden door separates the two rooms for quiet and privacy. Eagles Nest is a perfect writer's or artist's retreat, or personal getaway for an individual, a couple of friends or a family. It's also close to Northampton, Florence and Smith College (15 minutes), Williamsburg's Snow Farm (14 minutes) Amherst (25 minutes) and it's a lovely drive to Tanglewood or Jacob's Pillow (50-60 minutes). The land, its trees and stones, its 4 miles of walking trails and wildlife pond have inspired many guests. For preparing food on your own, Eagles Nest has an electric water kettle, tea bags, Keurig coffee maker supplied with caf & decaf coffee and Cremora; a microwave, water dispenser, small refrigerator, and dishes. In a tiny kitchenette downstairs next to the bathroom, you'll find a sink, extra dishes and a ceramic-lined electric skillet, should you like to cook eggs, grill toast, or sauté veggies for other meals. (We are a vegetarian household and ask that our guests not cook meat in the house—but we supply a small grill for outdoor cooking of whatever you wish). For your convenience, we stock freezer packs ($5 for the use of eight packs during your stay) and bags of ice cubes ($5/bag), plus occasional frozen treats (ice cream sandwiches and fudgcicles being among the favorites). Wifi is available to check your email, though we find that our own personal "hot spots" do a better job of getting wifi signals. Because we are in the wild and wonderful woods, our satellite internet does not allow for streaming, downloading or updating files. It will be a pleasure to welcome you to Patchwork Farm Retreat!
We love the woods, rivers, and lakes, but especially we love the people in these Western MA hill towns. Westhampton is a small town of about 1700 folks, and our new public library is a place of pride and enjoyment for all. Visitors are sure to love the local cafes at Outlook Farm on Rt 66 (10 minutes), and Straw Bale Cafe (7 minutes) on North Road, as well as the historic Blacksmith Museum in the center of town, near the iconic white-spired church. Within four miles, Bread Euphoria serves delicious home-made breads, soups, sandwiches, pastries, full meals and awesome coffee--and free, unlimited WiFi. Restaurants abound in nearby Florence (vegan Evolution Café and Ms. Flo's Diner, are great); and in delicious Northampton (15 minutes).
  • This is a beautiful space with amazing light and easy access to a network of well-maintained trails. Highly recommend.

  • Our stay was really wonderful. The location is great to explore the area and has wonderful, well-marked trails to explore. The view is spectacular. The beds were comfortable, even luxurious. The space was perfectly clean. It would be really perfect for a couple - for two friends it was a little bit awkward, as we hadn't realized that there wasn't a spot for us to sit together (not on a bed). I had understood two bedrooms to mean there were two bedrooms PLUS a room with a couch or something, but it's actually two bedrooms connected. One has a GORGEOUS view and a queen size bed and an arm chair. The other has a fold out small sofa bed. Patricia was an incredible host - I would definitely go back.

  • Beautiful place for a relaxed vacation in almost perfect seclusion. Perfect for anyone looking for a place to focus and/or relax!

    Filipe2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Eagle's Nest is a truly magical property. Talk about nature-bathing! The walls of windows invite in tons of natural light - with a perfectly placed bird feeder for hours of bird watching. The trails on the property are maintained with excellent signage! We went for a different hike every day of our stay. It's hard to believe that this spot is so close to the hub of Northampton, because it feels so remote and serene. Check-in and communication were easy and friendly - we were really made to feel at home. We loved this space so much, we are already talking about booking ourselves a weekend there in summer, so we can experience the land in a warmer season. This was an incredible retreat, and we are so grateful for the thoughtful cultivation and open welcome.

  • This place is gorgeous and you will have a pleasant stay.

    Florian2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Second time staying at Patchwork Farm. Gorgeous area -- we were lucky enough to arrive after an ice storm so for two days the forest was magically covered in ice. Beautiful! Can't wait to come back again.

    Luke2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderfully relaxing time, and we loved exploring the trails around the property! The view from our room was amazing, especially at sunrise!

  • I loved my stay at Eagle's nest. It is a beautiful space and enjoyed the well marked trails to walk. Communication was great. I would love to come back again.

Experience farm life at our secluded permaculture homestead. Cozy, clean and comfortable and with a bedroom view to our animal barn which houses our horses, goats, sheep, ducks, chickens and livestock guardian dog (all super friendly and VERY into cuddles). Conveniently located just minutes (4 miles) from Amherst town center.
We are a 5 min drive from Cushman Market and Cafe and a 10 min walk from Atkins Reservoir. There are also many miles of hiking trails that are accessible through our backyard.
  • This is such a find and an easy drive to Amherst! Zoe was easy to reach and all went smoothly.

Shower w/ seats, laundry, full kitchen, dining table, comfortable lounging area & a Juliet balconey! Eclectic, inviting, spacious, private, very quiet & all in a great location! Dog friendly - Please contact me first.
The Carriage House is located about a 3 minute walk to the heart of Northampton. Walk to cafes, shops, restaurants, public transportation, Smith College, etc. You will have off street parking. A personalized user code for self-check-in and security ( each code is deleted after guests depart). The 2nd floor open studio is spacious, airy and bright - there are 2 sleeping nooks ( to the left and the right of the Balconey door) with new 12" latex foam & pillow top beds - one is a queen the other a full sized - (super comfortable) and a large leather couch. The private entrance and 12 steps bring you up to the studio. The studio has an I-Beam that divides the space - this beam must be stepped over to go to rear section (see pictures) you know best if stairs or stepping over a beam will be an issue for you. The kitchen has a new gas stove, extra wide toaster oven, microwave, electric tea kettle, coffee percolator, fridge and large sink. There're pots, pans, plates and utensils for cooking and dining. Coffee and a selection of tea is provided. The 1948 Chambers stove is no longer in operation but still graces the kitchen with her beauty and stature. There's a bathroom with a shower. The Carriage House is private and quiet. There's virtually no pedestrian or traffic noise. NO BURNING of CANDLES or INCENSE, SMOKING or VAPING in or near the studio. Dog friendly please msg. me about your pet. WINTER & SNOW. Snow comes at all hours. I do have the driveway plowed and walkways shoveled. You may be asked to move your car so the driveway can be cleared. Walkways may not always be cleared of snow due snow falling at all hours and coordination on getting them cleared does not always line up perfectly for your arrival and coming/goings; especially during a snow storm so I ask for your patience, cooperation and understanding. Thank you!

Sunny bedroom, full size bed, adjoining bathroom, kitchen privileges, and ample parking in single family home. Situated west of Smith College on Rt 66, near great bike paths and all the arts, music & culture the 5 College area & western Mass offers. About the room: internet access, fresh clean sheets, extra blankets (wool, acrylic, &/or down comforter, your preference), reading lamp, writing desk, alarm clock, flashlight & nightlight, plenty of line-dried towels, 2 roomy bureaus with mirrors. Available: washer & dryer in basement, iron & ironing board, hair dryer Bonus: House is wheelchair "visitable." A ramp provides easy entrance to front door. The shower has sturdy "grab bars" & a low step tub entry. Environmentally friendly host works at Northampton's Visitor Center, spends free time traveling, putting together videos (& watching Forbes library's huge collection of videos w/ popcorn); learning to sew, taking in Arts Night Out on the 2nd Friday of each month.
I'm right on Route 66. This is a long road that starts at the gates of Smith College and does not have sidewalks on it once you've left the center of town. It's a popular road with experienced biker riders, but it can be intimidating for the novice because there are no designated bike lanes and traffic moves briskly. It's also a neighborhood that sees joggers and dog-walkers. They do pass the block in front of my house and generally duck into the nearby cul-de-sacs to get a mellower traffic pattern during "rush hours" (7 to 8AM, 4:30 to 5:30PM).
  • This is a perfect place to stay if you go to Northampton. Alicia is very nice and helpful and the place is super clean and comfortable. I will stay there again in my next visit!!!

    Silvia2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Alicia and her husband Dave were perfect hosts and made us feel welcome immediately. It was great to chat with Alicia and enjoy a cup of tea as she made up the bed. The room itself was so peaceful and right next to the bathroom--very convenient! There were nice thoughtful touches--a bowl of hard candies and a pitcher with water glasses, as well as a cabinet of amenities if anything had been forgotten. The price is right and the location is great. I'd book again with Alicia in a heartbeat.

This is what happens when a realtor and an expressive-therapist make a vacation home. You get a decent property, in a good location with little things to do to help you de-stress, have fun and connect with friends and family. Eighteen minutes from downtown Lee, in the private Sherwood Forest Community with lake access, and laundry, this 1500 sq. ft home built in 1987 rejuvenates. Our hope is that you will leave here a little more relaxed, recharged or maybe even a little bit happier.
Set on a 3/4 acre lot in the peaceful and serene forest this home has hardwood floors, granite counters, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator/freezer and washer/dryer. The open concept living room, kitchen/dining area is a bit tight but can definitely accommodate 6. The beds and linens are comfortable and good quality. We hope and expect you to have a good night's sleep and be well fed. Kitchen has all the basic tools you need to cook a meal.
The Real Estate: Therapy house is located in the Sherwood Forest Lake District, on Big Robin Lake, the largest of five. Guests have access to the boat beach, Will Scarlet Beach and North Beach. The Sherwood Shoppe across the lake is a cute, down-home, country style restaurant and store that has all sorts of goodies and supplies you might need. There are lots of little hills in The Forest that make for good walking or jogging.

We highly recommend this place for your next family vacation! Beautiful and clean home with friendly hosts!

  • This is truly a unique apartment that will wrap you in Gorey gloriousness! The detail of the decor made our stay really special. Additionally, the apartment is very clean, well-appointed, and though situated on a busier street, the largest window faces a wooded area (and an outdoor purple piano!). The hosts were extremely responsive and provided clear instructions about check-in. If you are staying in the Northampton area, this is a great choice!

    Clare2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place! Every detail was so fun and thoughtful and taryn and Brian are such excellent hosts!

    Amanda2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • My spouse, preschooler, and myself stayed at Taryn's place while visiting the area. It was the perfect home base for us. Our daughter absolutely loved the 'monster apartment' and we had plenty of space. We were able to get work done during the day, explore the area, and we had everything we could possibly need. We were continually noticing special touches throughout our stay. We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area.

    Katie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place has got to be one of the coolest places we’ve stayed at! Taryn was quick to respond to my inquiries and was super accommodating to us. We loved coming in to jazz music, the Monster cereals in the kitchen, and the overall decor. It certainly made the art nerd in me jump for joy! Our only regret is we only stayed for a night. We hope to visit again soon!

    Jessica2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • If you can find a time this air bnb is available STAY HERE. Everything is so lovely, it was my goth dreams come true. Not only is there something to look at in every corner but it is so clean and there is a lot of stuff to use/eat in the kitchen. My only issue was that the bed is a bit stiff so if you have a bad back you may want to bring some extra pillows. That being said I will be staying here again, I am obsessed with the aesthetic and it so close to so many great activities Id be stupid not to.

    Sara2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Easily the coolest place my husband and I have ever stayed! The attention to detail is remarkable and the artistry put into this space is mind blowing. If you are at all intrigued by this air bnb than take it as a sign that you should stay here. Taryn has created such a splendid little universe of hospitality, comfort, and wicked style. The amenities were great, you don’t have to bring much. You’re also supplied with a great hand written guide to Easthampton’s restaurants and attractions, and access to the rail trail is very close, making the walk to Cottage street for dinner quite lovely. If you are an Edward Gorey fan, appreciator of the arts, looking to bring some extra pizzazz to your vacation, or have a partner that’s really into vintage video games, this is your spot. So delightfully surreal!

    Shelby2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • You'll feel like you're in an Edward Gorey book! Thoughtful and inspiring. Right in Easthampton and minutes from Northampton. Great place, great host!

This is a second floor apartment, close to downtown, with two bedrooms and a full size futon sofa in the living room. Two cots are available for larger groups. The maximum number of guests is 6 adults. There are one and a half baths. The kitchen is fully equipped. Off street parking is available.
Sunny, newly remodeled second floor apartment. 15 -20 minute walk to downtown where you can explore Northampton culture, restaurants, and unique shopping. It is also close to a walking trail and bike path. Easy access from I-91, but quiet and safe. I have lived in the area for some years and can help in recommending restaurants and places to visit.
Lively, revitalized neighborhood, with a mix of long-time residents, families with young children, and students.
  • This was one of the cleanest and most peaceful places I have had the privilege of staying in. I would happily stay here again and could not have asked for a better host! The amenities and thoughtful touches were so appreciated!

The apartment is spacious, bright, and sunny. Full of charming and quirky old details like original windows, hardwood floors, and not many right angles. Definitely not a vanilla box. The furnishings are clean and comfortable and go with the farmhouse feel. Please note that the private staircase used to access the apartment is original to the house. It is steep by contemporary standards and the tread depths are all a little wonky.
This is a sweet apartment in the 2nd floor of our old farmhouse. The space is full of charm and character, and we have decorated it to accentuate the space and light. There are too many closets to list, so plenty of storage. We aim to provide everything one might want or need during their stay, so if you think of anything that might be a good addition just let us know.
This is a great neighborhood. We are situated between Northampton center and Florence center and are walkable to both. Florence is a 10 minute walk, and Northampton is a 25 minute walk. There is a trail that runs along the river leading to the Smith College campus, and the entrance is a 10 minute walk from the house. By car you are within 5 minutes from the aforementioned destinations. With orchards and fields across the street the location feels a little bit country, but is right in town. Easy access to pretty much everything.
  • Fantastic spot! Easy walking distance to downtown Northampton. Lots of natural light throughout the apartment. And Laura and Josh were great all around. Will definitely book again next time I'm in town!

The Pink Room and shared full bath are upstairs, and guests are welcome to spend time in the kitchen/living room, or explore the house.

One mile from downtown Northampton, near Childs park, retreat-like environment. Unforgettable space!

    Wonderful neighborhood in Northampton MA
  • We enjoyed our stay. The place was very unique, clean, plenty of space. Will stay again in the future.

  • We had a wonderful time at Nerissa’s studio. It was so bright and clean. It was just the little relaxing getaway we needed!

    Stephanie2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This studio was made to relax, interact with others, and be creative. The pictures do not do this studio justice. I was simply blown away by its beauty. My partner and I had the most amazing time relaxing inside the studio with rain hitting the steel roof and a projector displaying movies on the large wall above the wood stove. Its everything we needed and nothing we didn't. Nerissa is a top shelf host with clear directions, a wonderful dog (that will great you and urge you to throw a tennis ball), and great local recommendations. Her location is seemingly 10 minutes away from everything we wanted to do. I highly recommend you staying with Nerissa, as well will be doing again in the future!

    Dalton2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Such a special place and in a great location! We wish the stay was longer since the space is so relaxing and rejuvenating! Our stay could not have been better - great communication, easy access, all the nice touches, super clean and the most comfortable nights sleep we can remember! Cant wait for the next chance to unwind there!

    Dean2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My siblings and I rented out Nerissa’s place as a gift to my mom. Her and her sister stayed the weekend and had a lovely time. They were very impressed with how beautiful and clean the accommodations were. They enjoyed spending time walking to town, getting coffee, and exploring the area. Thank you!

  • The Little Blue Studio was an exceptional place to stay, and so close to downtown Northampton. The woodstove and appleTV projector really elevated the quality of the space, and the full kitchen helped from having to eat out every meal. Just a note though - the kitchen has everything you'll need regarding silverware/cups/plates/bowls/etc but consider bringing your own pots/pans/sharp knives if you plan on cooking a larger meal. 5 stars!

The place has a vintage vibe with some updates. It’s not fancy, but it was satisfying, private, and a good value, especially with the hospitality and small thoughtful touches.
