Our hosts were fantastic about responding to us via email/texts and answered all our questions very promptly. They made everything so easy for us. The location was in a beautiful area very close to Northampton/ Florence where we had breakfast before heading to South Amherst for our daughters' graduation. The apartment was immaculate and served all our needs. We were very fortunate to find Andy and Karrissa at the last minute. We had booked an AirBnb that was canceled 24 hours before we were to arrive. Andy and Karrisa were so accomadating.

Andy and Karissa were very courteous hosts, offering us advice for where to eat, and what to see during our stay. They made sure we had everything we needed in the apartment, and checked in via text to make sure everything was alright. We bumped into Andy walking his beautiful goldendoodle on our second day, and he was very warm and welcoming. The apartment was clean, had lots of sunlight and privacy, and was filled with snacks and coffee. It was quiet, with plenty of surrounding nature, yet still very accessible to Northampton. A tranquil oasis in the middle of it all. A great home base for exploring the region, or for attending events at the local colleges. Andy & Karrisa made us feel at home, from the walk-through when we arrived, to the kind works when we departed. The pool is a refreshing way to cool off after hiking up and ziplining down the local mountains (as we did), and the fully stocked pantry & fridge was a welcomed surprise. Highly recommended!

Andy and Karrisa's place is amazing and a great place to get away from city life! The hot tub is great, there's an enclosed backyard which is great if you have pets. It was a very enjoyable stay. I'd stay there again in a heart beat. Lilly John and Magsi just seem like great peeps! I enjoyed talking with all three of them. They are very passionate about what they do and about their home, and it was very clear to me as a customer that they love doing what they do. The house is beautiful inside and out. The bathtub is a little tricky without a shower head, so give yourself some extra time there! But overall it was a very positive experience! I can't emphasize that enough!

Lily and her family really went the extra mile, and I couldn't be happier about the choice for staying with them in Northampton. Actually, you should be careful because you might not wanna leave this warm family home - I happened to stay here during a blizzard and prolonged my stay for another night, and it was the nicest stay-at-home vacation day I've had in a long time. The house is warm and beautifully furnitured, Lily and John and their kids are easy to talk to, funny, politically interested and accomodating. There is an extra bathroom for guests, which is nice, and also a lovely dog. The area is quiet, just like the room - all in all a wonderful stay because of Northampton (which is a progressive small town with nice shops and cafés), and even more so because of Lily and John. Excellent place to stay, convenient to Northampton

Sandra offers a true New England bed and breakfast in the best sense. The house is a classic farmhouse in a quiet neighborhood with a sky full of stars at night. She offers guests their choice of bedrooms, all outfitted with incredibly comfortable beds, as well as free range of the house and a generously stocked kitchen for breakfasts. Sandra is a lovely, warm host who strikes the perfect balance between providing guests with personal space and being readily available to address any questions. My friends and I are already looking forward to another stay on our next visit to the area.

Great big house in the woods, but Sandra keeps it cozy in the winter months with a wood stove. The welcoming party included a cat and a dog which was a wonderful sight for animal lovers. I did have some problems will cell reception but there is WiFi so I just made my calls in the internet. Overall a nice getaway in the woodlands that is not too far away from bustling downtowns.

I treasured every moment at the Aery. It offers the best of camping's connection to the natural world with the pleasures of simple luxury thoughtfully provided. The Aery was the perfect spot for my boyfriend and my two day getaway for some R&R. Patricia was a wonderful host (as was Jenny) and we loved waking up in the Aery every morning to the gorgeous view and sounds of nature. We had everything we needed. The Aery was clean and stocked with plates/bowls/utensils/coffee for our cooking needs. We grilled each night and enjoyed dinner looking out over hills and forests we could see from our couch. We really enjoyed hiking the trails on Patchwork Farm as well as exploring nearby trails that Jenny directed us to. We loved our retreat away and will definitely be back!

The Aery at Patchwork Farms is a relaxing, immersive escape from the overwhelming busy-ness of our modern lives. If you arrive after the sun has set, there will be a roaring fire waiting for you. Our experience at the Aery was wonderful. We were able to relax in ways that we could not do in our daily lives. We were able to pretend we led a tranquil and fulfilling life in the forest, if only for a few days. With the forest and birds and sunsets to keep us company, The Aery inspired us to disconnect almost completely from our phones and social media and focus instead on the abundant nature around us. It was exactly the comfortable, rustic experience we were hoping for, and we cannot thank Patricia enough for her hospitality. Patricia is a great host. She is kind, pleasant and extremely interesting women. We stayed at The Aery with our 2 little children and had a wonderful time. The place is beautiful, Peaceful and quiet with lots of lovely trails around. It was magical and we highly recommend it.

I'm a city girl who is used to hotels and has never been camping but I had such a lovely weekend at the Aery. The room was comfortable and in such a beautiful setting. The mini fridge was stocked with fresh muffins, fruit and yogurt, which was a nice surprise. The shared bath was spotless with a great shower - plenty of towels and really nice shampoo and soap. Patricia and Jenny are both friendly while giving you space to enjoy the property. Would definitely stay here again (maybe try one of their other cabins) and highly recommend this place!

My husband and I felt so lucky to have stayed at the Aery to celebrate our anniversary. It was like sleeping on a luxurious giant screen porch surrounded by decks and beautiful views. Patricia is a beautiful soul who has created beautiful spaces to share with others. We enjoyed chatting with her and Jenny, wondering the well maintained private paths, and eating our picnics on the patio. We hope to visit again and try out "Eagles Nest".

Ginny rocks! Was very communicative and always got back to me quickly while answering any questions thoroughly. Clean house, very home-y vibe with updated bathroom and kitchen. Further, Ginny kindly stocked the fridge and kitchen with food, wine, and snacks! Master bedroom is beautiful bed - very comfortable. Deck out back was great too!! Would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely stay here again. :)

Our stay here was wonderful! Met up with some friends to do a tasting at a winery in Amherst, and decided to stay at Virginia's beautiful house. The house was beautifully furnished, with a gorgeous bathroom, working wood stove, and new addition of a hot tub ( a nice surprise!) The fridge came stocked with food for breakfast the next day, and wine in the fridge ( which we decided not to partake in, but it was a nice touch!) Ginny was very communicative and prompt with her responses. Would definitely stay here again!

We went out to Western Mass for a mini-family reunion over Easter weekend (daughter goes to college in area). Four adults, two kids, and a dog were very comfortable in this spacious farmhouse. The kids and dog especially enjoyed the big backyard, and adults relaxed on the big deck. We appreciated the stocked fridge with breakfast items. Would definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area.

Very comfortable updated farm house. The porch was charming and would be nice in warmer weather. The kitchen was easy to work in and very charming. The hot tub was nice after a cold day spent outside. The furnishings were in good taste as the feel of the house was very cozy. We would return if we are in the area again.

This place is great! Very well situated in terms of getting into downtown Northampton but offers a lovely private setting. Backyard deck with hot tub is great! Ample space for 6 people. Clean beds and linens. Perfect!

The chapel is centrally located close to downtown Amherst. The room itself is spacious, clean, and comfortable. I would highly recommend the Sienna room to anyone planning to stay in Amherst for a few days.

Our Airbnb experience at 1878 Chapel #2 Siena Room, Amherst, MA was a perfect fit for our needs & commitments on Sunday all day at UMASS. Accommodations were lovely. Instructions were clear & the check-in / check-out process was easy to follow. The flexibility was key to our stay as the tournament schedule we were attending was constantly in flux. We left a note in the guest book on the Premises that we'll be sure to come back next June!! The bed was super comfortable after a long couple of days of commuting. It was hard to roust my 13 year old girl for her 7:30 a.m. game at the Staduim.

We could tell from the description that this would be another special AirBnB experience. We soaked up the art and architecture, walked all over town from the chapel's prime location, and topped off the visit with a warm conversation with our gracious host, ecoarchitect Tullio Inglese. The room was spacious and clean. Tullio provided a futon for our son one night. Parking was easy. We didn't use the kitchen because we ate on campus or at high quality nearby restaurants, but it seemed well-equipped. Highly recommended for UMass parents!

Host Tullio was very friendly and kind. The room was spacious for 2 people and nicely decorated. The available rooms are located on the bottom floor also containing a large meeting area, small kitchen, shared bathroom with standing shower, and a professional business office space. This a very eco-conscious building; there are numerous posted notes reminding people to turn off all lights and use as little resources as possible. On the first day I found myself barricaded in the room after a group of people using the meeting area moved a bunch of tables and chairs into the hallway, blocking the door. Numerous people I encountered over the course of my stay were surprised that I was there and, while friendly, were clearly unaccustomed to sharing their professional work space with weary travelers. There were some inconvenient aspects to the room as well. There is no storage area in the room apart from two rolling shelves underneath the bed, and a small closet with no place to put or hang clothes. There was a very, very small trash bin in this closet, the only trash receptacle outside of the kitchen or bathroom. Another drawback was the lack of hot water. On my last day, I discovered the kitchen sink could provide hot water if you left it running for a good few minutes, but was unable to draw hot water from the bathroom sink and avoided the shower altogether because of this. The kitchen was stocked with a variety of teas, plenty of dishes and silverware, a water boiler and basic appliances, but did not have a coffee maker. There were two ground coffee cans, both decaf, and a number of instant coffee options including both decaf and regular. I would not recommend the instant coffee. This is clearly a new project for Tullio, and it appears to have been put together quickly and cheaply. All things considered, the cost to stay here was significantly higher than what I feel would be appropriate for the space, and would not stay here again.

Tullio was a lovely host who made us feel welcome. He is extremely pet friendly, even leaving dog biscuits for our pup and chocolate for us. The room is peaceful, beautiful and quiet - it is clear that he has put a lot of work into renovating the space. Keep in mind, though, that if you are bug-phobic, this is an older space, so you will see the occasional beetle or spider from outside. However, overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

The hosts were very responsive and informative prior to our arrival. Full instructions on getting into the building were given and their phone number was readily available should one have any questions (which we didn't). The room is in a fascinating, multi-use building - a former church, re-configured into offices, a gallery, performance space, etc. It was large and gracious, with interesting architectural features and blown-up aerial views of the city of Siena on the wall. The bed was comfortable and the hosts kindly left bottled water and chocolates for us! The hosts also left thoughtful suggestions on where to eat; we took their advice and were delighted with it. There is one bathroom, shared with other guest rooms and also with the adjoining gallery space, though when we were there there was no exhibit. If you want to experience an interesting and unique space in a good location, don't hesitate. We really liked being there.

I had to come to Northampton for a program at Smith College, and Kate and Debby's home was the perfect place for my needs. It was just a quick drive from the campus and downtown area (less than five minutes to get into town). I typically prefer to rent entire homes or apartments, but this was the next best thing. The front door serves as your own private entrance, so as soon as you walk in, your room and private bathroom are right there. This front section of the house is blocked off from the rest of it. The bed was very comfortable, and Kate and Debby have a little kitchenette set up in the closet with a toaster, microwave, mini fridge, tea kettle, and coffee pot, along with a variety of coffees and teas. I was provided with their contact information in case I needed anything, and they checked in via message one Air B&B during my stay, but everything I needed was provided. They have a small pup that greets you with a bark from the other side of the door, but they work hard to quiet him down and you don't even notice he's there except when you first come in--- I never even saw him, but would have loved to! I would highly recommend Kate and Debby's place for any single traveler coming into town!

Eric was a great host! He made us feel welcome even before arriving. The location was perfect (right in the heart of downtown Northampton) and his loft was full of awesome vintage toys and great family photos.

Eric is a very nice person and he goes out of his way to extend hospitality to his guests. He will treat you like you are his long lost friend and invite you to eat breakfast with his family in the morning, or allow you to do your own thing depending on your schedule. The apartment is huge and is right downtown. I loved all of the memorbilia that he has around his home! If you are a boomer, you will really appreciate the items he decorates the room with. It is an older building but well kept. There are quite a lot of stairs that you have to climb so that is something you must be prepared for when staying at his place. After the second day, I was much better at it. Eric carried my luggage up the steps and back down again when it was time to leave, so that was a really big help. It was an interesting visit. This is the first time I have used Airbnb where I did not have a separate apartment. This situation was like being a guest in someone's home. The room was comfortable. It is right on Main so it can be noisy at night but it's not too bad. Eric has a noise machine with soothing sounds that will help block the noise of the cars or you can use your own app. The wifi is an unsecured network so it is like using an open access network. For this reason I chose to use my phone data to do my web browsing and my phone as my own hotspot. Because his place is right downtown, the cell coverage was good. If you are new to Northampton, be sure to ask Eric where there are good coffee shops, restaurants and shops. The location is great and Eric is a generous host and welcoming to visitors.

Sandy is a most gracious host. She is knowledgeable of the area and gave us great tips on restaurants and local activities. We enjoyed her quiet, residential neighborhood that was perfect for an early morning walk or run. We will definitely be back!

Sandy's place is super clean and comfortable. Sandy met me at my car when I arrived and was very welcoming. Her decor is lovely and the bed and bedding are wonderful. The fact that she lays out a continental breakfast of fruit, croissants; coffee, juice and yogurt is great! The separate entrance is a plus so you don't feel like you are intruding in someone's house....not that you would feel the way even without the separate entrance because Sandy makes you feel like a friend as soon as you meet her.

I would certainly come back, and most certainly will recommend to friends and family visiting the area.

Sandy's place is fabulous!!! It's a private suite, with a separate entrance. Everything is new and high quality. The room is spacious. Every final detail is thought through. If you are looking for a space in the area, it would be foolish to look somewhere else. I'm not paid to say that! Haha. Basically, I felt like a genius for picking it. Best of all Sandy is sweet and thoughtful. And did I mention that she provides a top notch breakfast? She truly goes above and beyond. I can't wait to go back!

Sandy's place is clean, affordable, and a wonderful house to call home for a few days. My 11-yr-old son and I felt comfortable from the moment we arrived, and appreciated everything Sandy did for us. Her breakfast treats were yummy, the room and bathroom spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of room for an air mattress on the floor for my son. We also liked having our own entrance and the quiet neighborhood. Charlie is a sweet dog and we enjoyed getting some dog time with him too! Thanks for the great stay!

Be aware of what you get: it's a shared room, which is to say, the host lives in the apartment. A good value if you need a cheap place to crash.

This cottage is an adorable getaway that offers much more than meets the eye! We loved the quiet, the efficiency, and especially the proximity to the river (wish the weather had been better to enjoy the deck overlooking the water). Great getaway location!

This is a very clean and well cared for little place. I chose it for the internet and well-equipped kitchen, both of which were great, and allowed me to get some work done while staying warm and cozy during a snowy week; I'm sure I would also have enjoyed the river deck in a warmer season! Though there isn't much in the way of restaurants or other businesses very close to the house, there are a lot of really charming places just a short drive away, many of which Erica recommended in her helpful note. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would do it again!

Erica's cottage was cozy, comfortable, and affordable for a weekend getaway with two close friends. The location is perfect if you want to get away from hustle and bustle, but also want to have a small town close by. We were lucky enough to catch the Conway Volunteer Firefighters' Sunday Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser a few doors down -- nice folks, delicious pancakes. The back porch was lovely to sit on, even during the winter, and makes it feel like you're in the middle of the woods. Erica was super flexible and responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Erica was accessible and very accommodating. Very cute place, soothing sounds of the river behind the house. We had coffee on the deck and watched a heron fly up the middle of the river. Beautiful! Close to Ashfield, Shelburne Falls and Deerfield which we enjoyed visiting while we were there.

We had a great stay at Michael's place. It was close to town and the bike path. Michael left us lots of snacks and even beverages which was a nice surprise. The only challenge was that there is no table and chairs to sit at to eat a meal but we made due with couch and coffee table. The beds were comfy and the gas fireplace was a cozy touch.

You can tell that this space is very well cared for! We have stayed in other airbnb's and this one is definitely one of the most comfortable and cozy! The main room is so inviting and warm with the gas stove and the tv tucked away in the closet (we dont watch tv but play boardganes!) It was just very sweet and I would highly recommend it. Location was stellar as well. Oh and the bed was comfortable and water pressure in shower great as well!

Great, cozy apartment. The fireplace is lovely and it had everything we could need! One tip-If the door to the bedroom is closed it does get very cold in there, but if you keep it open it stays comfortable throughout the apartment.
