The chalet is tucked away from the streetscape, sitting behind the main house. It’s near great coffee shops, restaurants, public transport and the beach. Please note that St Kilda has a long bohemian history, so you will see ladies of the night.

  • You won’t be disappointed if you stay at this lovely accommodation in St Kilda. You can walk to St Kilda beach in under 10 minutes and there are many good restaurants close by. The numbers 67 and 3 tram go directly into the centre of Melbourne, the bus stop you need is number 35 which is a 10 minute walk from the property. Having your own garden to sit in after a busy day sightseeing in Melbourne is a real bonus, an oasis of calm. We would definitely stay again.

  • One of my favourite Airbnb’s to date! So much character in a small chalet that felt like home. Great location, only a short walk to Acland St. Plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Check in was very easy and straightforward with clear instructions from host. Upon arrival, you’re greeted by the beautiful courtyard of tropical plants and palm trees surrounding the chalet. It’s truly magical, especially on a sunny day! The chalet house is so cute with spiral staircase up to the loft bedroom. Comfy bed and plenty of storage in the cupboards. My favourite place in the home was the bathroom. I had two baths and it was so relaxing. Everything you need and more is in this home and I can’t recommend it enough if you’re after a nice and relaxing getaway. Host was very helpful and quick at responding to messages, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I’d love to stay here again in future!

The TreeHouse was originally built as an artist's studio. It is an architecturally designed light-filled space that is nestled at the rear of the block behind our family home. It sits high in the treetops to float above the neighbourhood. It has its own private access via an original bluestone laneway. Melbournians treasure their laneways and this one is without exception. Enjoy the serenity of being hidden away whilst still in the heart of Prahran. Access is via the rear lane with a car park with pin security access / remote. TreeHouse is totally private for your enjoyment...but we are not far away if needed. The treehouse is close to cafes and public transport. Venture out to the Royal Botanic Gardens, St Kilda beach, or to Chapel Street for both high-end and vintage shopping. Explore Prahran and discover its hip bars, restaurants, and nightlife. Train station is a two minute walk or if you are in a hurry, trams are a drop punt away! Once you arrive, no need to drive, as an array of hip cafes, bars and restaurants are all within walking distance. Stroll and discover the vibrant nightlife of Chapel and Greville streets.   • Our stay at the tree house was absolutely great! Very close the the train station (5-10 mins to walk), Prahran is a beautiful suburb of Melbourne. It’s only 3 stations to the city if you catch this train (tram takes a little longer). We loved the room and the furniture with the beautiful sense of details (except of a rather small bed, which we are not used to ;-)). Sue and Paul are fantastic people, very caring, courteous and near by if something is needed. This place is Highly recommended, stay here if you are looking for a “home” - far away from home!

  • The place was highly stylish and everything was clean, just as in the photos. The location is very convenient close to the station and the shops while the place itself is located in a quiet residential area. The hosts are kind and welcoming, they are easy to get in touch with since they living in the front house. As mentioned in other comments, parking is a bit tricky because of the narrow laneway, but everything else was just fine! Highly recommended.

    This studio apartment is located in St Kilda, with easy access to Melbourne's CBD, St Kilda Beach, Chapel Street, Acland and Fitzroy Street, Albert Park lake (home of the Australian Grand Prix). St Kilda junction is 300metres away providing access to Melbourne's famous trams and Windsor Station is also less than a km away allowing access Melbourne's train network. The Astor Theatre and Luna Park are all in close vicinity of this apartment. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
    For a price better than that of a private room you get a great studio apartment in a fantastic area of St Kilda, close to public transport (both bus and train) for easy access to Melbourne's CBD, the Melbourne Grand Prix, The Australian Open Tennis, the MCG, St Kilda Beach, to name just a few. Free parking maybe available based on availability.

  • Mark’s place was great! I would definitely stay here again. You can’t beat the value. The space is perfect for one person and has everything one could need – including an in-unit washer/dryer which made freshening up one’s clothes all the easier. The apartment itself was very clean and smelled nice. The area is very cute and residential. Mark was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. One thing I think it’s good to be aware of: the trams don’t always run frequently at night, so it can feel like it’s a bit out of the way. Overall I felt like the area was safe so it wasn’t much of an issue (and the trams run much more often during the day, so the time to Melbourne goes quickly). Overall, I highly recommend Mark’s place!

Had to pay $10 per night for parking after I had made the booking. I didn’t mind in the end but just be aware if you’ve searched using parking as a filter as it did take the price up. Try the Vietnamese and Malaysian restaurants nearby-both great! To get to the CBD you can take public transportation or you can go for a very nice walk mostly along the beautiful Yarra River-it is about a 45-60 minute walk but very enjoyable.

  • For my first trip to Australia, I couldn’t have had a better introduction - to the city and the hosts. Chris and Elle were Always very responsive, communicative and was even able to accommodate my early check-in. It’s a modern, stylish and perfectly-located unit for a solo traveler (steps from a major street for bars, shops, restaurants) I always felt super safe walking alone at night. Quiet, respectful neighbors (I even made friends with a few of them and their dogs!), excellent view, comforting amenities (heat, AC, washer/dryer sealed it for me!). Was an excellent home-base as I explored the rest of Australia. Looking forward to returning!

Due to the short notice we had to travel with our two small dogs. From the moment I made contact with Jane via messages I felt here is someone who behaves and communicates professionally. We were not disappointed. Both Jane and her adult family made us feel at home. She understands the balance between friendliness and space. We particularly appreciated leaving our little dogs with Jane while we attended funeral related events. The added bonus was the joy our puppy experienced playing with the 12 month old puppy belonging to one of Jane’s children. A note for all when travelling with dogs make sure you give proper disclosure to your host about your own dogs. So, all was as described and the hospitality exceeded our expectations.     Sandringham is very close to beautiful beaches and 20-30 mins to the city depending on traffic and time of day.     My house is in the suburb of Hampton East which is 25 minutes by train from Melbourne CBD and a 20 minute walk to the beach. Great cafes and restaurants are close by. This house is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers .
    My house is nice and tidy and has a lovely open space living/dining/kitchen area for you to completely enjoy every moment. You will have your own bath, shower and toilet in the main bathroom plus any towels you may need. There is also a washing machine and an outdoor clothesline which all guests are welcome to. I also have wi fi and a tv for entertainment. The house has generous space, full of natural light. Walking to beach will only take 20 minutes. This private bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed and large wardrobe, which will suitable for a couple, solo adventures or business travelers.
    It is a great neighborhood with beaches, cafes, shopping centres and amenities. There are numerous bike paths to ride along or you can go for a walk or a run along the beach trails. And afterwards sit and relax with a coffee at one of the numerous cafes. Southland Shopping Centre is 2km away, with great shops and a cinema.

    Private room (Double bed) for rent in a shared house in Hampton, Melbourne. A train to the city will take you about 30 minutes, the nearest bus stop to the train station is 2 minutes walk or 15 minutes walk. This is a shared house. There are 3 other housemates (2 males 1 female) in the mid-twenties, 1 cat and 1 dog. This house is good for young couples, solo adventurers and business travellers.
    This bright, cosy and garden view room has a very spacious wardrobe, aircon, heater and double bed. The house is nice and tidy and has a lovely open space living/dining/kitchen area for you to completely enjoy every moment. The bathroom is shared and we will provide toiletries for your stay (towel, body wash, shampoo, hairdryer). There is also a washing machine and an outdoor clothesline which all guests are welcome to use. We also have wi fi and a tv for entertainment.
    The nearest coffee shop is 5 minutes walk (recommend their pies!). Beach is 20 minutes walk or less than 5 minutes on public transport + walk. There is an athletic park nearby if you feel like running! Subway, gym and fish & chips 5 minutes walk. The main town is less than 5 minutes by public transport or 15 minutes walk (Woolworths, cafes, restaurants, etc)

    Private room available in a two bedroom unit. You will find the location is a 5 min walk from Tram and train stations. Located within 8km of the city. The area is pleasant and with Caulfield Park across the road you will be happy you stayed . The Room includes a Television with active netflix, NBN Wifi.
    This is an ideal location that is close to St Kilda, Chapel Street and the city. The Park across the road has walking and running tracks, Ponds, BBQs and is always active.

  • Nice place to stay, just next to Caulfield Park, with pleasant view, cricket playground, tennis court and lots of park facilities. Also very close to Caulfield Race Course. Walkable distance to both Caulfield station and Malvern Station, several routes of trams.Host is nice person, good cook for BBQ. Will definitely stay again next time.

    The cottage is self contained and is a well designed space that accommodates a queen sized bed, bathroom and a separate study and is set in an enchanting cottage garden. The well equipped kitchen is in a separate space though part of the cottage and is accessed by its own door from the decking, so you don't have far to go. In the morning lorikeets and other wild birds come to feed and you will be awoken to the romantic sound of birdsong. During spring and summer the garden is at its loveliest.
    The cottage is self contained with own kitchen including dishwasher and has bathroom and laundry facilities. There is an additional room with a desk and chair for study or reading. The cottage is not connected to the house. It has its own decking and outdoor setting looking into the garden. This space is ideally suited for a couple or single and is not designed to accommodate children or extra guests.
    Picturesque, safe, quiet, leafy and close to the beach and yacht club.
  • Lovely roomy private space, very close to train and town, just a short walk away. Worked really well for us and Yolande was very hospitable, really helped us enjoy our time in Sandringham.

  • This is a cracker of a place to stay. It’s tranquil, very pretty and a fabulous location walking distance to train beach and shops. Delightful walks. Yolande is warm and helpful but not intrusive. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. The interior is spacious cosy and elegantly decorated. A must stay.

  • Spacious private self contained space in a lovely garden setting. The Kitchen area is not accessible by internal access from the living bedroom space but next door via a cover deck area. Living area / bedroom is open plan and spacious well placed furniture separates the areas. Bed was comfy and it is a really quiet peaceful space. Yolanda had lots of thoughtful extras touches, a highlight was honey from her onsite beehive. Breakfast supplies were really generous: eggs bread yogurt muesli and lots of different teas to choice from. Yolanda was friendly and helpful would absolutely recommend.

The place is perfect for two and she has a nice large kitchen to cook in. We love the area, it’s nice and quiet with local shops around and she provided us with all we need!     The apartment has all the elements of a warm and tinker home. Located in St Kilda East, it is very close to Chapel St, St Kilda Beach among others.
    The apartment is very quiet and the neighbourhood also has supermarkets nearby. Aldi, Coles etc.
    Alma Park a few steps away cafes and restaurants a few minutes away. Chapel St, Inkerman St and all its bars and restaurants available at any time of day.
