We stayed at Rebecca's beautiful farmhouse for a long weekend, Rebecca was there to meet us and gave us a lovely warm welcome. The farmhouse is huge and comfortably accommodated our party of 6 people. It was very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. We travelled with 2 children and they were delighted with their bedrooms with its own bathroom on the top floor. The farmhouse is in a village location with a pub, butchers and general convenience store a couple of minutes walk away. The ladies in the butchers were very friendly and supplied us with delicious sausage, bacon and eggs. The farmhouse is at the heart of the village but situated down a quiet road, a cul-de-sac, so no through traffic passing by the front of the house. We loved staying at the farmhouse and would recommend it as a lovely get away. Thanks Rebecca

This is a brilliant house to rent, the village location is beautiful, so much space, well equipped, garden and courtyard area, superb for families There were only 4 four us booked in to stay but we wanted separate bedrooms so it was perfect for us. There are 4 large double bedrooms and 2 single bedrooms in the attic, mainly suitable for children. A great gastro pub over the road, very handy indeed, we had the luxury of having a chef come in for one night and cook a 3 course meal as recommended by Rebecca, superb. I wish we could have stayed longer.

This is a fantastic property. We were a group of five schoolmates getting together for a joint 50th birthday celebration and it met our spec 100%. With five bedrooms and three bathrooms upstairs, the sleeping arrangements were very comfortable (just watch out for the quaint low ceilings/beams in places!), and the five separate spaces downstairs provided lots of different options for us to do things either as a group or split up. The kitchen/dining area was where we spent most of our time - we self-catered breakfasts and dinners - and it saw lots of reminiscing and lively debates! The wider area is lovely, with a great pub and a couple of shops (including an excellent butcher) in the village and some stunning scenery and walks (and more excellent pubs) in the North Wessex Downs Area of Natural Beauty, which Harwell is on the fringes of. All in all a wonderful stay.

A lovely house-lots of space-we were two families with four children between us. The kitchen is lovely and the children enjoyed the room above it with the TV! The wood burning stove is great-very cosy on a winter's evening. We would recommend the pub across the road and the children's play area (a 10 minute walk from the house, and kept our four aged 4-10yrs amused for hours!). Otherwise Harwell is a fairly quiet place-but a good meeting point between the Midlands and south-east for get togethers. Great communication and help from Rebecca the host.

Rebecca and Rob were fantastic hosts and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble even over the Christmas holiday. The house was stunning and much bigger and roomier than described. It was perfect for our large family group to spend time together and not get under each others feet! The pub over the road was great and we did lots of walking in the fabulous countryside around. We would not hesitate to recommend Rebecca, Rob and their beautiful house, we loved it!

Had such a fantastic weekend! The house was simply perfect - we had breakfast outside on the patio every morning and had a super evening gossiping around the fire! Dinner at the pub on the corner was lovely..a very sweet pub with great service and food. Rebecca made the weekend hassle free and was there on hand to help with anything should we have needed It- I couldn't thank her more! Very fond memories..we will hopefully find an excuse to come back!

Daryl & Una, great host right from the start and made me feel very welcome. Good size clean and tidy room with modern geometrical decor. I only stayed for a couple of nights but the place felt like a home away from home. As a runner I could not appreciate the locality more, awesome trails to hit - Country roads, villages, fresh aired woodland is a feast for the eyes and lungs. Could not recommend more

I had a great stay at Paul's place. Very friendly and easy going people. Nicely decorated room and a nice soft bed. Located in a quit area with nice views and very close the the Diamond light source on the Harwell Campus. Plenty of choice for breakfast, with access to the kitchen anytime for a nice cup of coffee and thee.

Excellent stay

I stayed for 7 nights over two weeks and had a very good stay. Mandi and Paul were very helpful, welcomming and cared a lot for me. They also allowed me to use their kitchen and generally made me feel very much at home. They even got me danish style bread which I naturally appreciated. Their place is clean and generally nothing was missing. Their house is conviently located close to Harwell campus and with a bus stop just very close by. I can definately recommend their place to anyone who has to work on Harwell campus on short term.

Paul and his wife are super friendly hosts. Paul's place is conveniently located near Harwell Campus (15 min walk to Diamond) and perfect for anyone in need of accommodation while visiting Harwell. The room is large enough even for two people and the house is very clean. I had a quiet and relaxing night at their place with an awesome breakfast in the morning. I can only recommend staying here!

Paul was very welcoming and the bed was very comfortable. The house is in a very quiet environment and there was plenty of room to park the car outside the house. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice of cereals and fresh fruit. I look forward to another opportunity to stay.

It is a great place in a quiet residential area close to Didcot Parkway Railway Station and to bus stops. Just 15-20 minutes of walk from the railway station and 3-5 minutes of walk from the bus stop (depending on your pace). The room is small but cosy. There are blinds on the windows (which is important for some people). If like me you need a place to stay for a night (or a few nights) and the main things which you need are a bed, a bathroom and a kitchen for a reasonable price, then this is the right place. Zuzana is a very friendly lady that made my evening with her company and a great chat. Her cat Felix is an adorable companion. If I had a chance to come to Didcot once again, I would definitely have stayed at Zuzana's again.

I booked Zuzana's place at short notice and our arrangement communication was straight forward. Zuzana is warm, bubbly and easy going, making it very easy to be at home. The bedroom is as others has remarked. It was comfortable staying at this well lived in home, with Alexa and Felix (the cat) too.

I was very pleased with my stay at Zuzana. The property is in an excellent location at walking disntance from shops on Broadway. Zuzana was friendly and helpful. Communication was prompt and cordial.

A very small but comfortable single room in a family home. The one criticism I must make is that the host does not appear to use a diary or calendar and so gets dates wrong and confused.

I spent 1 week at Paul and Amanda's place and it was great. The place looks exactly as in the photos and verything was very clean. The place is well situated close to the campus, about 20 min walking through a nice park. Paul and Amanda are very good hosts, always willing to help. I also liked the breakfast in the mornings! I totally recommend this place!

Amanda and Paul are fantastic and frendly hosts. They made me feel welcomed and comfortable for the entire week of my stay and helped me to get through a stressful time. The house is very nice and clean and is located in a perfect walking distance to Harwell campus (and right next to the bus stop). The room is quiet and comfortable, and I got every morning a fantastic continental breakfast. It was a very enjoyable experience and is highly recommended.

Philippe was very nice and attentive. He picked me up from the station and took me to buy some food. The room was tidy. It is not an en suite, but there are two bathrooms for two bedroom. Overall my short one night stay was pleasant.

Very quiet, safe, peaceful, clean. Philippe was an excellent host, communicated very well with us, put himself out (picked us up from the station AND drove us to the restaurant where we were meeting our son). There are two others staying but we had our own bathroom, and we never saw or heard them, they got up early for work and either were in their room on our return or came in later than us, not sure which.

I stayed with Philippe for two month. His house is clean, quiet, spacious and warm. The bed is soft and comfortable, I like it very much. There is a huge football field outside the house, just about 100 feet away. It is a pleasure to walk around and watch the children playing football. It is convenient to go to Didcot Parkway station and the town center from the house. Philippe is a kind guy and helps me a lot. He even invited me to his parents' house for dinner and offered me some traditional English food. It is a nice and warm family. I appreciate them very much. Oh, there are three cute dogs in his parents’ house, I like them and they like me, too. I would like to stay with Philippe on my next trip to England.

The bedroom and batchroom were good and clean, but the lounge and kitchen were a problem. There was no TV in the bedroom, no internet and the rest of the house untidy with unwashed dishes and pots cakedin food and clothes drying. Not recommended.

Being new to Airbnb I had the perfect start chosing Julie and Steve as my first hosts! They were both super nice, helpful and supportive. Living in a new and quiet housing estate with lots of pleasant neighbors and a beautiful landscape starting right behind the house I enjoyed my stay with them and their dogs so much it felt like being with close family to me. I had a most amazing and relaxing night at Julie and Steve's place after a long and tiring day. They welcomed me warmly and were only too ready to have a chat even when I checked in quiet late. First the place- their house is very beautiful and description of the room is very accurate, location- very quiet and picturesque. And hosts- marvellous...:) especially Max ( their very vocal but extremely fun Labrador), Lexy ( I hope I spelled her name right) the best cuddle worthy creature ever and their fur ball guest Roxy ( again I hope I got the name right). Great stay as usual at a spacious home with Julie, Steve and their playful dogs (of all sizes). We shared dinner and Julie gave me a lift to work. Definitely a homely stay.

If you don't mind being in the middle of nowhere and you like dogs and cats, Julie is a wonderfully welcoming host, the house is big and exceptionally clean given the number of pets that live downstairs. I would definitelly stay again.

This little house is so cute! It is little tho so living room is a bit cramped for four people and bedrooms are cosy with one that has no clothing storage so couldn't unpack the suitcase. Location is great for touring Oxford area. Olga has done the best job ever of providing a home manual with room by room instructions and area info!!! She listed Prezzo as a local restaurant and we went there and had a very good meal. There is also a full size washer and dryer which were great!

We had a wonderful stay at Olga's house. She did so much more than we expected in making the place perfect for us. Especially making it safe, comfortable & fun for our 3yr old. Lots of great recommendations for things to do in the local area, invaluable as it was a rainy bank holiday. This is a great location for exploring Oxford and the surrounding area. Home from home where you arrive and feel like you have everything you need for the perfect stay. There are so many little touches that make this something very special (complimentary breakfast cereals, teas and coffee, bathroom products and many more besides). Olga catered to our individual requirements perfectly and her suggestions were well thought out and very helpful. The house is perfect for families with young children, with such things as a high chair, sterilising unit and stair gates. A beautiful house and lovely garden. We had a wonderful stay at Olga's place. We had a group for 6 people. The rooms are spacious for us and very comfortable and tidy. The facilities for kitchen , washing machine, dishwasher are all great. We used them conveniently. The shopping mall and supermarket is also very near. Olga is very responsive to all my enquiries and have made the room nice and warm under my special request. It is a bit cold right now. She is very considerate to all my request. She also provided continental breakfast free. Overall, I highly recommend this house to anyone and will come back to stay again if I will visit the area.

Paul and his family made me feel very welcomed, they are fantastic people. I could recommend this place just on how nice it was to spend time with them. The major drawback is that the room itself is very small, however, it is sufficient for the job. I found the room to be everything I needed with enough space to store a medium suitcase worth of clothing and a backpack of books and computer supplies. There is also access to a kitchen and laundry downstairs in the common area. This place is perfect if you need to come into town for work at any of the nearby labs. It is close to the Orchard Centre, which is where you will find the bus stop to the labs and most of the shopping in town. Additionally just a bit further down the road is the train station giving you access to the rest of the UK, with London just a short 45 minute hop away, and Oxford only 15 minutes.

I had a lovely time at Paul's. In particular, Rachel was a kind and nice host, lovley to chat with her. I strongly recommend them as hosts.

The family is really nice and helpful. They helped me to settle down there every way possible. Even at times I felt that as if I am causing extra burden for them. The place is too close to the station and bus stops. The supermarkets are around as well. The house is neat and clean. I felt at home and comfortable. One of the best places I have ever stayed through Airbnb.
