The Croft is a beautiful, spacious self-catering holiday cottage on the Isle of Harris in Scotland. Nestled in the centre of acres of private land, The Croft has breathtaking views of Horgabost Beach with its white, unspoilt sands. It is the perfect location for a secluded, relaxing holiday for all the family.
The cottage has been fully modernised throughout but retains a traditional feel. It has three bedrooms – two doubles and one single – and also a comfortable sofa bed in the dining room meaning that it can sleep up to seven people. There is parking for two cars. You can enjoy cooking delicious meals in the modern fitted kitchen which has a fan oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge freezer and other amenities, and you can eat together in the dining room which has double aspect windows, antique mahogany furniture including a table to seat six, and an electric fire. There is also a cosy living room with has a large leather L-shaped sofa and a comfortable rocking chair, a flat screen TV with satellite channels and a DVD player, board games to enjoy and another electric fire. The single bedroom is also downstairs. Upstairs there are two spacious carpeted double bedrooms and a recently modernised bathroom with a bathtub and fluffy towels. Please note there is no wifi at this property. You have full access to the whole property. I won't encroach upon your time at The Croft, but please don't hesitate to contact me any time if you need anything.
It is a five minute downhill walk from the front door to the sea with its award-winning white, unspoilt sands. The village of Tarbert, which is where the ferry from the mainland docks, is just a 20 minute drive away. Regular boat tours run from the port to the outlying Shiant islands, home to colonies of puffins and razor bills. Tarbert also offers restaurants and tea rooms, and other things to enjoy such as the Harris Tweed Shop. Ferry crossings can book up early, so please be sure to arrange these ASAP.
