Utilitarian setting coupled with corresponding utilitarian experience and communication with host amounts to a vapid stay. Nothing memorable or redeeming for the price one is paying.

I have never imaged I have chance to stay in Tokyo for three months, and peaske's house really impressed me a lot. The location is so convenient and near the fancy space Shibuya and Daikayama. And the community is so quiet that make you feel just like a Tokyo-er rather than a travelled. Also, the house is well equipmented that you can cook yourself. During theses three months, Peaske helps me slove many problems and caring me a lot. I am so thankful and I would like to recommend it to my friend

The apartment was small but that is to be expected in Tokyo. It's well decorated and I love Peaske's style. I am a six foot one western guy, so the bed was on the small side for me, but in essence I was travelling so it did the job. I couldn't possibly imagine another person in there, but anyway. If you want a sleep in of a morning I would also recommend getting some eye shades, as the although the bedroom window glass is opaque it has has no blinds, so lets in a tonne of light. Peaske is a great host, who although we had some hiccups with the meeting time and situation (yes he had to change the sheets etc while I waited, he did allow me to check in early). He was also on hand for anything I needed while I stayed, which was also nice.

Peask's place is awesome. Very nice apartment in an awesome location partway between Ebisu & Shibuya, at a good price. The actual neighborhood is quite quiet, but it's only minutes from the action. He met me at the train station, showed me to the apartment and explained everything I needed. Apartment had everything a visitor would need.

was a great place to stay! peaske was a great host explained everything very well! the apartment is in higashi! a very well off neighborhood. its not really roomy but tastefully furnished. we only used the apartment for sleeping and for that is was perfect!! very central placed. super quick to walk to the famous shibuya crossing and to ebisu station! the best clubs in tokyo are not fare away from that place too... the club "air" where some scenes from the movie "lost in translation" are taken part is 5 min walk away! a recommendation!!

The unique concrete house is situated in a quiet and stunning area. The apartment is furnished with charm and style and the concrete walls give the home a modern urban character. Around the corner there is a super cool menswear store and numerous good restaurants. We got to know Peaske as a helpful and creative guy. We absolutely recommend this place.

Since the Shibuya subway station renovation, it took time to find a place to live. Aya is very nice, very considerate. Residential place to live, so the evening is relatively quiet.

I really enjoyed my stay at Syozo's place. The apartment is small by western standards but completely appropriate for Japan. Check-in/Check-out is very easy and Syozo is very communicative if you need something. The location is great, right in the middle of two good train stations (out to the left to Ebisu; to the right for Shibuya) with 2 convenience stores (one in either direction) a very short walk away. The apartment is a little on the old side but it is very clean and has everything you need. Thank you, Syozo, for the great accommodation.

Syozo was a great host, responding quickly and making sure everything went smoothly. His place is clean and comfortable for one person. It is a bit a further walk from the stations than I expected, but still a great location to stay at. Overall, I strongly recommend Syozo's place.

Host was easy to communicate with and always quick to respond. Place was a bit older than expected but had all you needed and shower was hot! Please note, there is one bed and a futon/couch. Located within walking distance between ebisu and shibuya metro stations and a few blocks from convenience stores. Overall, had a pleasant experience.

Shibuya Station was near to walk in 10 minutes. A neighborhood in the hostel was clean and quiet inside the hotel is also very clean and it was good, clean, well holding the sun. Free Pocket WiFi was useful to good use for 7 days stay in Tokyo, the bottom temperature was very warm and served well without discomfort throughout your stay. There is a convenience store near the hostel was great and delicious sandwiches at home again ^^ If you come to Tokyo again I will stay here.

The landlord is very impatient, because I airbnb issue an error message is displayed for the first time to give her a call asking, by the way would like to ask occupancy mode (was already scheduled, but did not receive check-in instructions issued by the landlord), and she very patient voice said to me, so I have to go home and airbnb scheduled her hair carefully look at the mail box to give her a call, the landlord's attitude and tone made me feel very angry, very sorry to book this bed and breakfast, but has can not be changed. I had a great stay in Go's apartment. Would certainly recommend!

1. The floor heater is great, we don't have to stand the warm air from the A/C (too dry). 2. Part of uphill road from the 2 nearest subway stations. 3. Well prepared bathroom thing (e.g. makeup remover & facial cleanser), really help me light my pack. 4. Super quiet residential area at night. However, it's also not easy to catch a taxi on the street here. Please download a taxi app or phone number first.

House is in a good location inbetween Shibuya and Ebisu station. It is actually more convienient to walk to/from Ebisu rather than Shibuya but it is still an easy enough walk. if you are coming from the airport with some luggage i'd recommend walking from Ebisu, not Shibuya there are a lot of turns and you might get lost the first time (i did). There are a couple of convienence stores nearby as well. The house is pretty spacious and has a small balcony actually. The bed is a good size, im 185cm and it was comfortable. There is quite a lot of floorspace for a Japanese apartment. Yoshi also provided some welcome additions like a clothes iron, hair dryer, usb outlets for charging etc. There is a washing machine as well. In terms of cooking there is only a hotplate so don't expect to be able to cook anything huge. Bathroom is a normal Japanese apartment size, it was a bit tight for me since im tall, so if you've got an injury or are very tall just be aware.

Great host and nice comfortable room. Everything you need is there. Plus I love Ebisu's vibrant, hipster community. You can walk to Shibuya and go out clubbing and not have to wait for the train to start again at 5am because of its relative closeness to the city. Also, you're a block away from Daikanyama.. which is a NY-esque neighborhood!

Yoshihide was pleasant to correspond with. He was prompt in his responses despite the time zone difference, and this made it very easy to coordinate check-in and finding the place. The place is definitely cozy, but it comfortably fits two people, who are going to spend most of their time exploring the city anyway. It's conveniently located near the Ebisu and Shibuya stations (we didn't really use the Daikanyama station), which made getting anywhere in the city a breeze. The place was stocked well with basic toiletries and enough kitchen supplies to prepare a quick meal (from the nearest 7-Eleven) if you wish to cook or warm up food. Overall, it was a great stay and just what we needed for our trip.

Small clean apartment 10 min by walking from Ebisu station. Located in rather quiet business/residential area. There are some restaurants close by, but shops and citylife a bit further. Easy communication with host. For western standards the bed is quite small for two people (as the whole apartment). Nice balcony with view. Convenient bathroom and separate toilet. kitchen facility in the hallway. On the way to/from the station you have to go up/down stairs to a pedestrian bridge to cross the main road, which can be a hassle with a suitcase.

This place was definitely one of the best and most comfortable place I've ever stayed through AirBnB. The bathroom was very clean. The location and neighbors were quiet and closed to grocery store. I will stay this place again for sure.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Tomo's apartment (1st night we enjoyed playing card made us went to bed late 55). It located within walking distance to Shibuya and Ebisu stations, many restaurants around and Lawson store was next to the apartment . It is quite spacious and had all the amenities that we could have needed. Tomo was a great host and was very helpful in answering the questions.Recommend to stay at TOMO's apartment ^_^.

Proximity to Shibuya station is the biggest plus in staying at Tomo's apartment - the rest of Tokyo is of easy access from there. He was kind enough to say that this apartment is not big enough for 6 people and we should have known better, indeed. Nonetheless, it is clean, comfortable and good value for money!

Tomo's place is great, and Tomo is even better. We stayed at his apartment on the tail-end of a long work trip, and it was everything we needed-- laundry, kitchen, very comfortable beds/sheets, larger rooms than we were expecting, and a great location. The neighborhood has food, coffee and shopping nearby, though we didn't have enough time to enjoy it all. Very easy walk to stations nearby. Tomo was super-- communicative from the beginning, sending us all information we would need to stay at his place even though we booked pretty last-minute. He stayed in touch during our whole stay, answering any questions and making suggestions. Tomo even helped us store our luggage for many hours and called us a cab to the airport when it was time to leave. He's really an incredible host, so hospitable and understanding. We really enjoyed our experience with him and appreciate all of his help so much! You really can't go wrong with this listing. It's fabulous.

Shin is really friendly, I met him at the station of Shibuya and he helped me carrying my luggage till the apartment. The apartment is really small, not suitable for 2 persons, but equipped with all the necessaries and perfectly located. It’s in a quite small residential street but just 5 minutes walk from Shibuya station, the perfect starting point to explore Tokyo! It’s close to many bars and restaurants and perfect to enjoy the nightlife of Tokyo. I recommend it!

GREAT LOCATION! It was very easy to walk to Shibuya or Harajuku. I liked that because we didn't have to take the train every time we stepped outside. There's also a lot of good places to eat around here. The room was very cozy and comfortable and extremely clean. I would stay here again.

Perfect japanese style apartment in the best location I can think of. Just a few minutes from Shibuya station with lots of interesting stuff and food aroud. Enjoyed my stay and hope to go back again soon!

Shin was very friendly and very easy to communicate with as he speaks good English. Although we were only allowed to check-in at 4pm onwards, he was prompt enough to inform us beforehand so I was able to make necessary arrangements prior to our arrival. Well, the unit itself is exactly as described and it is just enough to cater up to 2 people (There's an additional futon mattress). There's a small kitchen with some basic cutleries, a small fridge and a microwave oven. I think these are essentials for budget travelers like myself. Location wise, I'd say its perfect. It'll only take approximately 10 minutes on foot to the bustling Shibuya district and the train station itself! Although I had a hard time to locate the unit (it was pretty secluded in the small streets), Shin was helpful enough to give me a call thru (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and find me. For food junkie like me, you don't have to worry as there are handful of restaurants nearby and one of which is Gyumon (Halal-certified), which specializes in BBQ meat and stuff like that. Overall, you'll get the best bang of your buck if you don't mind a small apartment with great access to many places!

Good location within walking distance to restaurants and public transportation. Only issue is the bed feels like you are on a box spring. Not very comfortable. A mattress topper would be very nice to have. Otherwise everything was great.

Great place to experience Tokyo

Great apartment in the best location! Equipped with everything you need in a Japanese style apartment, yet with a regular bed. Right next door to a 24/7 convenience store and a proper supermarket. Close to a lot of delicious restaurants, and both Shibuya and Ebisu stations, which get you to anywhere in Tokyo in a breeze. Atsushi was a great host and helped me with everything I needed, quickly. Highly recommended.

Everything about the place is nice and cozy. The location is quite far from the station. The only problem we had we lost our important document after the stay but Atsushi-san is reluctant to help. Response slowly and in the end never help us.

Correspondence was also be contacted in early smoothly. The room was also good and clean.

We were allowed to be used as accommodation after the wedding after-party that ends at midnight in Ebisu. Near the station, it became also very kind and the best of accommodation towards the host. The rooms are smallish, but all have a uniform thing, was really comfortable. Thank you very much!

The room is fabulous. All the decorations and furnitures are all well designed, even the light is pretty comfort too. Although it is really a small room, but there is definitely everything you might use. The location is great too. 2 minutes from the Ebisu Station with two railways, 1 JR and 1 Tokyo Metro. You can definitely go anywhere you want to go.

Kenji was a very nice host who came to greet us on the first evening to have dinner together. His house is clean, neat, and very near to good and awesome food. In addition, the house has almost everything you need. It is very reasonably priced for the area.

Great apartment located in heart of Ebisu.

Kenji was very helpful from the very beginning until the end of our stay. His place is very convenient as it is close to the station, shops and restaurants. Our stay was very comfortable. We even enjoyed a view of cherry blossoms from a playground right from his apartment.

Although we have never had a chance to meet, but I'm pretty sure Kenji is a nice and friendly guy. He is thoughtful and helpful. I will definitely recommend his apartment to all of you.

Ebisu is the best area you can stay in Tokyo. Kenji's apt is very close to the JR Ebisu Station and Subway Hibiya Line. You can walk from there to Daikanyama in 15 mins, and of course there are so many good restaurant to try around this area. There is a lovely small park in right front of his apartment.

Such as candy and paper cranes of welcome, it was transmitted hospitality of the atmosphere. If the contact immediately can also reply, I was able to very safe. Widely also near the room from the station, there is also good restaurants and convenience stores, is the best. Also thank you when there is a chance.

Our staying in Tokyo couldn't been better. Kenji apartment is little but cozy quite at night and clean. It has all the utilities you need to make at home. Very close to Ebisu station, which is a really cool area plenty of restaurants and stores. Just five minutes by Yamanote line from Shibuya and Meguro. Although we couldn,t meet Kenji he was very available and friendly all the time. We definitely will love to stay at Kenji's home again.

Great location, close to Ebisu station (1 stop from shibuya & 2 from harajuku) Kenji provided step by step photo guide for directions to his place, which makes it easy and convenient to get there upon arrival. Asami has a great apartment in a great location. Very easy to reach from the shibuya or ebisu stations. Plenty of awesome nightlife, cute restaurants, izakayas, and shopping in the area. At and the same time it feels nice and quite enough to unwind and relax. The apartment was clean and comfortable. It offered everything we needed for the 4 of us. Highly recommend.

I recently got to enjoy Asami's place and hospitality. I found it a pleasant walk to many key spots for us. Most of our time was spent outside, but amenities where more then we had expected. The apartment was very clean and directions to operating were easily available. The weather was very cold especially coming from Hawaii and having heaters in all rooms made it a very comfortable time to relax. In total I thought the house was excellent for our needs and the foot massager was a welcome Ally after walking 8miles in a day. Asami is an awesome host and I would definitely recommend to people and would even stay again.

Asami's house is a very nice house. 15 minutes walk from Shibuya station. Clean room two, and a hall, all supplies are readily available. Downstairs there is a convenience store, from fruits and vegetables to snack, but seafood recommendations to Tokyu department store supermarket 9 every night to buy half price. Walk for 15 minutes. Around the Izakaya, convenience stores more than 4. The most important house has an elevator, easy to carry luggage. But the luggage to the house between Shibuya, is not recommended to walk, please select the bus to the bus station. Master with her boyfriend enthusiasm, kindness and help. Will look forward to staying again

Asami's place is conveniently located. However I found both the apartment and outside are not so clean. There is lots of dust and hair on the floor, and dirt on the basin and mirror. The entrance is neither so clean. I could see black markings on the white floor. Further, there are extra beddings in the cabinet in the bedroom that has some smell.

I can't say enough good things about Asami and her home. The place is very accurately depicted in the pictures and was very spacious, easily accommodating the 2 of us. Conveniently located near Shibuya station and there's a convenience store literally a few steps when coming out from the Apt building. We had the pleasure of meeting with Asami and Tomo along with other airbnb-ers and they took us to a vegan restaurant to which I, a non-vegan, was very surprised at how good the food was. I regret we didn't have another opportunity to meet due to our hectic schedule of seeing other areas. Asami and Tomo were very accommodating during our stay and kept in touch during our stay. I could go on and on but I think I would just be repeating the same positive things others have said, the only thing new I could possibly add is that even though I personally rented out a portable wifi we found that we were using Asami's provided one due to it being faster; we also did not experience any throttling issues while utilizing it. All i can say is to book this place if you can manage to find an open spot, I know I will if I'm ever back in Tokyo. Thanks again for the great stay Asami!

The apartment we stayed in was very comfortable and cosy with all essentials and amenities provided as stated on Airbnb. Although we did not meet Asami, she was very helpful through the phone, constantly checking up on us through text messages. Lovely place in Ebisu and really close to the Ebisu station! We were also only around ~20 min walk away from Shibuya so it's really easy to get around even if you stay past the train schedules. The place itself is in a secluded area so it's very quiet at night, but after around a 5 minute walk you get to Ebisu station where there are bars, restaurants and other attractions that open til 5am! Uchibori's place is also really clean and exactly as described. It's not a very big place for North American standards but considering we are staying in Tokyo it is more than enough space for 2 people. When we go back to Tokyo we'd definitely stay here again!

Location is good. 4mins away from the Saikyo line exit. Despite the water is not hot enough (for the need in winter time), things are perfect.

Such a good place. Suitable for 4 adult to travel. Helpful facilities during the winter seasons, near to a shop. Little bit far from tokyo access railway. But near with JR stations from the airport. Ryo's place was very nice! It was conveniently located near Shibuya and easy access to transport. The direction to the place needs a little updating though as the facade of the building has been renovated already and it got a little confusing. This place was perfect for the 4 of us staying in Shibuya, it was in a great location very easy to get around with lots of shops and restaurants just steps away. Place was quite spacious compared to other Japanese accommodation. Was nice to have a fridge and kettle.
