Coziest & cutest cabin in the village of Government Camp. Truly a rare gem in a superb location. Quick walk to historic Government Camp, restaurants, stores, and Ski Bowl Adventure Park. Short drive to the ski resorts, mountain lakes, scenic hikes & bike trails. Oversized and super steamy hot tub is the ultimate place to unwind after a long day taking in the mountain.
The cabin is in the village of Government Camp. There are other cabins nearby. You can walk to National Forest Land from the cabin in just a few minutes. You can also walk to center of town in about 5 minutes. It's an amazing walk in both directions as you're looking at mountains and there is often snow.
  • We loved our 2 night stay in March. There was still plenty of snow to play in but it was pretty private and quite. It was very clean and the bed were very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

  • We loved our stay at Amanda's cabin! The hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing, and we loved that they supplied robes and sandals as well. The cabin had all of the small touches that provided a cozy stay for us, and we definitely hope to return again soon!

  • Great Camp right in Govie. Perfect access to all Mt. Hood has to offer.

    Caitlin2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great mountain cabin with the coziest, most comfortable bedrooms and a great wood stove. Small kitchen but it has everything you need, and a washer dryer too. The hot tub is a huge bonus after a day of skiing. Location is perfect, quiet but short walk to center of town and to the Multorpor sledding area. Only suggestion is for a comfier sofa (seat cushions don’t stay on). Thank you for a great stay, we will be back.

  • Great place, good directions about the place.

  • Beautiful cabin, great location, Wonderful hosts! We are so happy to have been able to stay a night in this beautiful place. Thank you!

    Jennifer2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place! It was snowy when we arrived, very cute cabin! The place warmed up quick with the fire place and wall heaters. The living room is very cozy and kitchen is well stocked with appliances, spices and dish ware. Upstairs bed was comfy and water pressure is great. We stayed here for a work retreat, used the dinning room table as a work space and was able to walk to town for breakfast one morning. Hot tub was awesome but a little hard to get into. We would consider renting again!

    Mimi2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was our third stay at the cabin and it was just as relaxing as before! The hot tub is amazing and private. The fireplace made for great evenings and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back!

  • Great rental. Nice appointments.

    Gretchen2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great welcoming space; walkable to downtown shops, beautiful views of the gorge. Could benefit from larger beds; the "full" always feels small for a couple.

  • We had such a wonderful stay! The place was so cozy, clean, and comfortable and had everything we needed. We really appreciate all the thoughtful touches like extra toothbrushes, snacks, and a variety of tea and coffee. The location was perfect as well! We spent time in Hood River, White Salmon, and hiking in the Gorge and the place was close and easy to get to and from all of our activities. We’ll absolutely be making a return visit!

  • Couldn’t imagine a better stay. It was perfect for our group (two couples and two infants). The owners are very accommodating and responsive and we really respect that. I’ve been to almost 40 Airbnb’s and this will be one I remember for a while for its value.

NEW guest suite! 2 bedroom with living room + bathroom. Park, walk down your own sidewalk to entry door with keypad. Say hi or come and go as you please. Space is attached but separate from rest of home where we live. Quiet, efficient, cozy + modern. No yard access and no kitchen cooking appliances other than microwave. Ductless heating for controlled heating + cooling. Cheers and Safe travels! 5th guest including infants $75/night extra. 3 mi to Dwntwn, close to WAAM, Fruit Loop/Vineyards
Luxurious easy stopping spot for friends and family coming into town for a visit. Perfect space to crash and relax after a day or evening out. Approximately 600sf. Interior is all new construction, high quality, very efficient, well-insulated. Please note exterior is still a work in progress:) Always improving!
What I like about our location is we are 10 minutes to downtown to check out all the excitement at the local shops, tasting rooms and river, but also on some land with some space and quiet at night. You can easily head out to do the fruit loop, seeing vineyards and flower gardens. Our closet vineyards are 1.5 miles away (Such as Marchesi, Cathedral Ridge, Hood River Vineyards)! It's also an easy jaunt up the hill to explore Odell and Parkdale. We are super close to Indian Creek golf course (1.3mi). We are near Indian Creek trail for a walk or run. We are less than an hour to Mount Hood for year round activities. We are close to hiking and cycling areas in the gorge. I enjoy heading out to Lost Lake and the Reservoir in the Summer for a swim and paddle boarding. We are on a couple acres and on a clear night the stars are bright. On a clear day you can see Mount Hood. The Airplane and auto museum is super close and fun to check out. On a nice day, you will see gliders and gorgeous planes floating above our house. (No loud evenings like normal airports). Of course, if it's a cold winter night, there is a nearby bowling alley and plenty of restaurants. I should note our house is off a road that is 40mph, but you can fairly quickly hook up with local, slower streets. We are 10 minutes to the freeway for easy access. Don't hesitate to ask any questions.
  • Great little place close to dining and Hood River main drag. Was great meeting our host and the restaurant suggestions were greatly appreciated. I loved the Himalayan salt lamp in the room and how each room could be adjusted for temperature. Place was very clean and we were traveling during the virus scare so it was appreciated. If we ever make it back down again we will stay again. Thank you!

Our cozy Hood River Studio is in walking distance to downtown and close to all outdoor activities! Come enjoy a weekend exploring the local breweries, brewpubs, wineries, and orchards. We'd love to share with you some of our favorite local spots. After you've spent the day snowboarding, skiing, hiking, kiting, wind surfing, or SUP-ing, come back and relax in the quiet Studio. You’ll love the comfy bed. Our Studio is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. HR Lic # 644
Our house is a skinny house - very recognizable and unique. But we don't let the narrowness bother us! The house has great charm and the yard / garden is amazing (especially in the Spring and Summer months)! The space is great for a single traveler or for two people. The king bed is super comfortable. The Studio is on the ground floor / basement level of the home and has many windows to let light in, while also offering full privacy when you need it.
  • Nice space. Clean with personal touches. Nice coffee without the plastic pods—much appreciated.

  • The place was great! Super close to downtown Hood River and Ryan and Will are great hosts. They added such thoughtful touches to the place that made our stay even better. Will definitely stay there again!

  • Our stay here was amazing! The check-in instructions were very detailed, and we had no trouble finding the Airbnb. The location is perfect for exploring nearby breweries and walking around Hood River, and Will and Ryan provided such thoughtful touches - a bar of handmade soap and a local bottle of wine! The place was very clean, and communication throughout the entire stay was excellent. We would highly recommend Will and Ryan to anyone looking to stay in Hood River!

    Jeremy2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint and cozy cottage that’s just a quick drive to downtown Hood River. Thomas was a great host and his place was perfect for an overnight getaway.

  • Great spot to visit Mt Hood and Hood River! We stayed here last year and enjoyed it so much we’re back for round two!

    Malee2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a small but perfectly proportioned spot from which to enjoy the beauty of the Hood River area. The bed was comfortable, the shower is nicely designed, and the ample kitchen had everything we needed to make coffee in the mornings. We were visiting family in the area so we didn't spend as much time at the house during the day as others might, but the back deck seems a great place to end a day of adventures. Highly recommended.

    Sara2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little space for a weekend getaway with all the amenities you could ask for. Just a few minutes into Hood River.

  • Great cottage for a couple or a single person. Location is perfect just a few minutes from downtown. Bed is comfortable. Kitchen fully stocked. Shower in the cottage is amazing! And the view of Mt. Adams in the backyard was breathtaking. I have family in Hood River that I visit for the holidays and hope to stay here every time I make the trip. Thanks!

  • Great little spot to stay. My gf and I like the smaller AirBNB choices and this is a place we would stay at again. We loved the heated bathroom floor and the remodeled shower. Very comfy. Thomas was very accommodating when we needed to switch our reservation for a day early.

Perfect Mt Hood vacation rental in Rhododendron area. Far enough off hwy 26 for privacy; a short 15-20 minute drive to ski resorts, cross country, and sledding. Spring and summer brings hiking, biking, and fishing with the river steps away. A night out? Eateries can be found along hwy 26 and Government Camp. Inside the cabin is a river rock fireplace, stone and tile shower, washer and dryer, and a nice kitchen. Living room has a big screen TV and WiFi. Deck includes an in-deck hot tub.
The cabin is quaint and cozy. At the same time it has modern amenities in a rustic setting. Sounds of the nearby river help wash away the stress of city life. Tucked a block away from the national forest, this enchanting cabin shows off knotty pine interior, fir floors, river rock fireplace, updated interior, 2 main level queen bedrooms and an upstairs sleeping loft. Enjoy an inviting hot tub on the back deck and make Smores in a natural backyard fire pit.
The cabin is truly in the woods. There are other cabins scattered along the country roads, but not a side-by-side neighborhood. There is no one behind the cabin with the exception of a storage building that can be seen on the other side of the gully. Roads into the cabin are not paved, but are passable in most weather. The country air, tall trees, and forest sounds, make for a relaxing environment.
  • The hosts respond fast and are very accommodating. I would recommend you to stay at the cabin.

  • Cute cabin in the woods. Loft has two queens, a double and a twin mattress on the floor. The large hot tub was a relaxing touch. The shower is amazing, feels like you are under a hot water fall. The kitchen was stocked with a variety of cooking utensils, however, if you are a wine drinker you will want to bring your own glasses. Great location and easy to find.

    Ceirria2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • The setup here is functional and cozy! Booth table, fireplace, hot tub and shower are VERY enjoyable.

  • Hello, make sure you bring your own fire wood! There is a nice fireplace but wood is not included in the price. Also, we suggest you bring slippers. The hardwood floors did give our bare feet some splinters. Other then that it was a cute little cabin!

Aptly named the Osprey Treehouse because the Osprey spent the summer hovering and watching us build the treehouse. This 20 foot Octagon is built around a single grand old Douglas Fir that is 42” in diameter. There are oversized windows and a sliding door that give you the feeling of being high up in the trees. This treehouse sleeps 2 to 3. The entrance into the treehouse is level and parking is close. Cleaning fee $50 and applicable taxes apply.
  • Beautiful and picturesque house in the trees! It’s well located near a lot of great hikes and is the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking. You’d think a treehouse would feel like you’re roughing it, but this one has all of the comforts of home! You can see the gorge from the patio and a walk along the shores is a few steps away.

    Casey2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is incredible. I booked this stay for a romantic getaway weekend and it was perfect. The location is great with views of the Columbia river and nestled away in the woods. The treehouse itself is very impressive and surprisingly modern. I had anticipated it being somewhat limited because there's only so much you can do in a treehouse, but this had plenty of lights, outlets, quick hot water, blankets, soap, shampoo, furniture, and just about anything else you'd expect to find in a nice hotel. Despite being so accommodating it maintained a rustic charm you'd want in something like a log cabin in the woods. I proposed to my girlfriend during our trip here and now she's my fiancée, so this is a place we'll always remember and hope to visit again soon!

    Adam2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful get away! Loved everything about it. Thanks so much.

    Chelsea2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an amazing time in the treehouse celebrating our 3 year anniversary. It’s a memory we will cherish forever!

    Brittney2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot recommend this tree house highly enough. The childhood dream of having a tree house meets the adulthood wisdom of having plumbing in the tree house. This place is easy to get to, and hard to leave when it's time to go. The local town had a number of things to do (I recommend the zip line just 10 minutes away) but you can just as easily be a hermit and stay in the tree house. The water pressure is surprisingly good, the lighting and switch locations for such are well thought out and the hosts didn't skimp on the little things like really nice lotion in the bathroom or having a Bose mini sound link in the kitchenette area. There are frequent trains passing through maybe 60 yards from the tree house but the place is soundproofed well enough that the trains never woke me or really bothered my girlfriend and I.

    Robert2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a special place! We wish we could have stayed for more than one day. The treehouse experience was as cool as we hoped it would be. It’s rustic and cozy, and it sways with the breeze. It’s also in a great location. The cove is beautiful. Looking forward to staying here again.

    Matt2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t say enough about this place. Live out your inner Ewok fantasy in this fantastic treehouse.

    Clinton2020-01-04T00:00:00Z

  • Great location, super studio with a really nice “luxury” cabin feel. The river is right out back, and Hood River is close by. And it’s super easy to get to Meadows if you’re a skier/boarder. I’d stay there again in a snap!

Thank you to our loyal return guests for spreading the love and the word around the world:).
The Columbia River Gorge is an AMAZING spot. It offers the best of outdoor activities including camping, hiking, biking, golf, whitewater rafting and kayaking, windsurfing and kiteboarding, boating, bird watching, photography, downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing – the list is endless. Indoor options are also readily available with world-class museums, wine tasting, superb dining opportunities, shopping and spa services. There is truly something for everyone in the Columbia River Gorge. Just taking a drive through the Columbia River Gorge is an experience in itself as you will be in awe of this spectacular geological (website hidden) visit to the area is not complete without a visit to the breathtaking waterfalls. The home sits on 3 aches with a stream on the property and a view of the Columbia river with territorial views of the Gorge. Please see pictures of the property. Although we are only 1.7 miles away from Hwy 14 and the quaint town of Stevenson the retreat feels extremely remote because of the huge amount of trees and the lack of neighbors.
  • Incredible space. A delight around every corner. I can’t recommend it enough.

  • The photos truly do not do it justice!! This property is simply gorgeous with so many beautiful details and was very clearly made with lots of love. The sauna followed by a plunge in the cold bath followed by a hot shower under the stars was the highlight of our stay. Karen and Chris were super friendly and inviting hosts and made sure we were very comfortable. It was a wonderful experience that I’d love to do again!

    Carli2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place for an outdoor getaway! We went on a lovely hike about 15 mins away and were able to go into town for a yummy dinner and beer. So many thoughtful touches throughout! We will be back!

    Lindsey2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We camp quite a bit so the glamping experience was quite nice. The place is AMAZING with the beautiful views of the gorge and the peaceful stream that was on the property. From the beer on tap to the heated blanket it was all an amazing stay. We only did one night but would love to have stayed longer as the little town of Stevenson also proved to be quite fun as well.

    Tucker2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is so much better than we imagined, so well designed and peaceful - the location feels really secluded but was within a few minutes drive of great food and beer, and within 30 minutes all directions to great experiences. The property has so many little areas to chill and very creative. Fantastic all around and we look forward to visiting again!

    Cally2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Karen and Chris' place is an actual bonafide slice of heaven masquerading as a short-term rental property in Stevenson, WA. Beautiful views and cozy spots from which to enjoy them are always in surplus. You're also down the road from tons of craft beer and wine, great food, and more nature than you could possibly explore in one trip. We didn't want to leave, and can't wait to return soon.

    James2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Best glamping experience ever. Such a cute place. Thank you for all of your suggestions on local spots and breweries. We loved everything.

    Megan2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down, the most special part of our two week trip. The location isn’t quite as remote as the photos make it look, but that doesn’t even matter. It was so rejuvenating to spend the day hiking in the Gorge, and the evening by a fire looking at the stars. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had all the basics you could need for “glamp” cooking. We will definitely be back!

    Michelle2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at River Rush! The space was bright, with 360 degree views across the property - it was lovely. Bed was super comfy, kitchen had everything you need to cook, and check in/out was a breeze. Location was stunning. All around, great stay!

    Kelsey2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • River Rush Ranch is such a great getaway treat! Edwina is a wonderful host. We really enjoyed the space and the property itself is beautiful. The ranch dogs are also lovely little hosts! We look forward to coming again soon!

    Robert2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous place...I know we lucked out to be there in the height of the fall foliage but wow. This is a gorgeous working ranch and we were thrilled with the beauty of it. The place itself was lovely (that kitchen is amazing!), clean, and comfortable. It was so peaceful at that and i can’t remember the last time I’ve seen so many stars in the sky. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will absolutely look to stay again if we return to Hood River. Thank you, Edwina for sharing your place with us!

    Jessica2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great space with beautiful views. Particularly beautiful with the fall foliage. Nice walks around fields with our pups, cozy interior with all you need for a weekend at the gorge (no wine opener that we could find, though, but we improvised!). A lovely place to relax.

    Danny2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying here. The porch nestled in the aspen grove is our favorite. It stayed cool yesterday even when it was 90’f out side. The house is serene and spacious. We loved everything and we will definitely stay again. Perfect romantic get away with great bakery, Antiques, coffee shops, Vineyards and apple orchards to explore and so much more.

  • Great location, people, and conversation. Would definitely book again.

  • This was a really great place, better than expected. The room had lots of nice touches and was really stylish and comfortable. The breakfast was healthy and delicious with good coffee! Michael was a great host, joined us for breakfast and gave us lots of good tips for things to do. He was very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place!

    Rhonda2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful stay at the Inn at the Gorge! Spent two nights in the lovely Garden Suite with comfy beds, and nice little kitchen! The hosts were beyond great - friendly and helpful... Had breakfast each day - hearty and delicious with lots of great coffee and conversation... Book here - you'll love it!!

    Tracy2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was great. The place was very clean. We stayed here with a couple friends so there were four of us total and it was cozy but doable. Walking distance from downtown hood river which was great!

    Jenna2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Garden Suite was SO clean and inviting. Do know that if you are using the multiple beds that there is no door separating the two rooms and you have to walk through the bunk room to use the bathroom, but if you’re close with your traveling partners it won’t be a big deal. We also didn’t realize how attentive Michael was going to be to things like making sure we had really filling and tasty breakfasts provided so that was a plus! Lastly, he recommended that my husband and I take the e-bikes out for a ride and we had such a great time! Even if you think the hills are too much, with the exception of the one right next to the house, they were fine! I would totally recommend it. Also Big’n is a total sweetheart :-)

    Kate2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • A friend and I spent 2 nights at the Inn at the Gorge and had a fabulous time. I did not expect the fabulous breakfast or the amazing dog. Michael the host even had a spare mountain bike and took my friend out on an amazing ride while I was off kiting. The location is great and very walkable to town.

    Tina2019-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect Historic Inn from which to enjoy Hood River! The property has been lovingly restored, and the beds were luxury quality from the duvets to the mattress and provided a glorious nights sleep. The location was perfect, a short walk from the hustle and bustle of downtown through a historic neighborhood (with really cool sidewalks on State & Oak Sts that were significantly below the car-road - I'd never seen anything like this before!) The Inn itself is a stunning FourSquare nestled on a beautiful corner lot with magnificent trees and gardens surrounding the beautiful wraparound porch (with rocking chairs - the perfect place to enjoy coffee)! The hot tub was right under one of the old beautiful trees, and was a lovely place to relax after a long day of wine tasting! Michael is an excellent host who fostered a warm and welcoming environment that was both classy and comfortable. I will most definitely come back for a weekend overnight exclusively to use the beautiful claw-foot tub facing a window and a canopy of green trees!

  • The Inn at the Gorge is a great place to stay it’s quiet and beautiful!!! Really enjoyed our visit this spring!!!! Michael is a great host and is available to guests but is not intrusive. The hot tub is a great amenity and the room was comfortable and clean!!!

Cozy 380 square foot cabin retreat on private two acre lavender farm with a view of Mount Adams. We have 500 lavender plants- with 15 varieties. Our blooming season starts at the end of June through August. Come enjoy our slice of magic in the valley!
A working lavender farm and restful private retreat. We have a king size bed in the sleeping loft and a new full size sofa trundle bed
Beautiful pastoral views of orchards and local mountains. Cabin is located on quite tree lined semi-private country road. Welcome to your private oasis! Our farm is in the valley surrounded by pear and apple orchards. There are a few wineries you can venture to on the Fruit Loop Trail- stop by Apple Valley country store (a mile away) for some yummy pie and the Draper Girls Farm further up the valley for peaches or locally raised lamb. The small town of Odell is 2 miles from the farm and has a small grocery store. We are 7 miles from downtown Hood River. Oak street is the main downtown area with plenty of great places to shop, eat, coffee shops (Ground) local breweries. My favourite is Double Mountain. You can also venture over to the riverfront for some windsurfing, kitesurfing or rent a SUP. There is a great park at the riverfront across from some new restaurants and bars- pFriem and Camp 1805 Distillery are fun! Late night ice cream back in town at Mike’s! If you golf - Indian River Golf is 5 minutes away. It’s has a nice restaurant Divot for a burger & beer and good internet access. From the farm you have some great hiking options. Going up the mountain to Timberline Lodge- Mount Hood a 1/2 day outing. Plenty of trails along the way. The views are spectacular. Another favourite is Lost Lake. We have some books/guides at the cabin (please leave them for others) Additional links for reference: https://hoodriverfruitloop.com/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timberline_Lodge https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_Lake_(Hood_River_County,_Oregon) http://gorgelodging.com/about-the-area/travel-planner/ https://www.hood-gorge.com/ https://traveloregon.com/places-to-go/regions/mt-hood-columbia-river-gorge/ Most of all enjoy yourself. • Cozy and quaint little cabin in the beautiful countryside near Hood River. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

    Kira2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little tiny house/cabin that feels really off the grid but still conveniently located amidst the orchards of Hood River. SUCH a good Portland getaway. Our host was also courteous and responsive. I highly recommend it!

    Antonio2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely quaint cabin great for a weekend getaway! I loved the setting and waking up to the sounds on the farm (chicken and cows)!

    Caroline2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I used this as our weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. Great location, close enough to make things feel convenient but far enough away to feel like it was just us. Appreciated the amount of toiletries and other things you might need/forget available. The bed was comfortable and the place was clean. The loft stairs are definitely steep but we did just fine with them. We had trouble getting the bathroom door closed all the way, but we’re comfortable enough with one another that wasn’t much of a deal breaker :)

    Brandi2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little place not far from town. Adorable scenery and smells like lavender everywhere.

    Anna2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is very cozy and fairly close to Hood River. The loft bed was fun.

    John2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic little place. Very dog friendly. Beautiful scenery, there is so much to see and do in this area. Would highly recommend this place.

    Bonnie2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely adorable and the perfect getaway for my anniversary with my partner. The surrounding nature was even prettier than I expected, as you’re sandwiched between Mt Rainier and Mt Hood, and among vineyards. The ladder up to the bed loft is straight up and down so not good for anyone who can’t manage that, but we had no issues. It was a very memorable and special spot!

Hood in the background). The space itself was plentiful, with all the amenities we could possibly need. The bed was super comfy! Chris2019-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute cabin in great location. Hot tub was so fun. Couple issues we had: house has no cable TV which wouldn't have been a big deal except my husband wanted to watch the NFL playoffs. The dining table is upstairs so when you make food you either have to eat on the couch or carry it all upstairs. Not easy with 2 kids. Bath towels were a bit threadbare but sheets were nice. Also the house wasn't ready at checkin so had to wait extra half hour for them to finish. House was very clean and stylish and we enjoyed our stay overall.

  • Amazing place to stay!

    Jenna2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The air bnb views are exactly what the pictures showed. As I never really stayed in a cabin before it can get noisy with those staying above you especially as they walk around, bring ear plugs if you can. Breakfast and convos with others staying at the big foot lodge was nice, food was good and Nilsa was very pleasant. Would stay again!

    Nadya2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful view, lovely home, good cook, close to activities. Easy, relaxed atmosphere.

    Geri2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and very comfortable feeling! The bed is very comfortable and the view is amazing. The breakfast that Nilsa made was delicious and very accommodating to dietary restrictions.

    Nicci2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • The place is lovely and perfectly located for our quick trip to Mt.Hood. It is a true B&B experience, with breakfast made fresh each morning! Nilsa’s was extremely quick to reply and always there if you need it. An excellent host.

  • Bigfoot Lodge is a great and cozy place to stay. It's in a amazing location and Nilsa provides excellent and thoughtful hospitality. Breakfast was great, and Nilsa provided me food to go as I had to leave early one day. Nilsa was also very helpful with tips on getting to Mt Hood Meadows and local places around Hood River. I will definitely return when in the area again.

    Bernardo2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This lodge is gorgeous with a beautiful view of Mt. Hood. It’s pretty close to Hood River and about 40 minutes from Mt. Hood. Nilsa was a great host and we very much enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend!

    Connie2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nilsa is a thoughtful and welcoming host. She was helpful with suggestions for dinner and outings during our stay, and was a pleasure in conversation. Bigfoot (the residence) is a thoughtfully appointed and lovely modern log home with soaring vaulted ceilings and generous and well appointed common areas for reading, puzzles, etc., or just enjoying the spectacular view of Mt. Hood. Our stay over New Years provided a perfect atmosphere and ample spaces in which to do our annual planning. Our room well appointed and the bed very comfortable. Her breakfasts were excellent and generous. Our stay was delightful.

  • Nice location. Exactly what was expected

    Nick2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Really beautiful space, loved how close it was to Timberline, great hikes and views all around! The cabin itself was set up really nicely, we were so comfortable the entire time! Would highly recommend!

  • Lovely little mountain cabin! Convenient and walkable to Government Camp, easy to find & check-in, and super cozy. Has everything we needed. Nothing better than a night snuggled up in front of the fire!

    Brittany2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place to hang out if you want to go day hiking in the area.

    Dave2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little A-frame in a great location to do anything you would want in the Mt. Hood area. Close to nature and civilization. Government camp is a cute little mountain town.

    Erin2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • The location is amazing! You can walk into town to go to the general store, restaurants, etc. The place is very cozy. We had 8 adults stay for the weekend and the open layout of the kitchen and main living space was ideal. The fireplace was great but it would have been nice to have a bit more wood to tide us over. The kitchen was very well stocked as we cooked each meal at the house. They had everything you would need (pots, pans, utensils, etc.). It was great to watch the snow fall from the sliding doors in the living room. We would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to stay in Government Camp.

Centrally located, close to everything the Gorge has to offer. Park-like setting in town on 1.5 acres at the end of a quiet country road. Vintage mid century charm with modern updates. Large partially covered deck with sweeping views of the Columbia and Cascades
Home has a mid century vibe. Queen-size bed in the master bedroom. Second bedroom/Den has a second comfortable queen size sofa bed. Private deck. Bathroom comes equipped with a full-sized soaking tub on a river stone floor.
A few ideas: -- Falls Creek Falls is a nice easy hike with a spectacular waterfall at the end, it's also shaded. You can get directions from the trail guide on the living room table called Curious Gorge --Dog Mountain is a challenging hike but with spectacular views and wildflowers. If you go on the weekend show up early or else the parking area will be full. Another option would be to park at the Stevenson Fairgrounds and there is a bus that runs out to the Dog Mountain trailhead -- Skamania Lodge has a fantastic weekend brunch but I would go prepared to get your money's worth! -- Pfriem brewery in Hood River is top notch and is also a restaurant. The drive out there is very nice -- driving along the old Columbia River Gorge Highway is beautiful and there are multiple short waterfall hikes along the way, just look for the turnouts. This route is very popular though so if you're going to go on the weekend I would show up early like around 9 AM or 10 AM -- The Fish Hatchery is also along this route and the Sturgeon aquarium which is free is really cool. -- there is a fish ladder at the Bonneville dam which is interesting -- for a nice lunch out on the river or brunch I'd recommend Clark's and Lewie's, you can also see the kite surfers from this location If there are more specific activities that you're looking for, feel free to ask!

  • Honestly, I could not have been more pleased with my stay! Other reviewers say the same thing, but the view was out of this world, and even better than the pictures show. I have already told friends and family to rent from Libby if they are in the area! The place is absolutely perfect for a solo traveler (like me) or for a couple. If I find myself back in the area, Libby’s place is the first place I will try to book.

  • The cabin was super cozy and very clean. Craig and Libby were great hosts and even gave me a lift into town to get groceries. It rained for the first few days but that made it even cozier and more relaxing. The view of the Gorge, when you could get a glimpse, was beautiful. Oh and the bed was amazing!

    Joy2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • The view alone is breathtaking...a perfect little cabin to retreat and relax with with mountain views for days! the hosts left such thoughtful personal touches that made our stay extra-ordinary!

Just one mile from the Colombia gorge, the first floor of this bi-level mountainside home is reserved for you and up to 5 others. The capacity is technically up to 8, if there were 3 couples sharing a bed, and 2 others on couches. The lower level is also referred to as a “day basement”, because of the large windows dawning light on the west side of the house. In the summer it is filled with sunshine. The entire floor is private, with your own entrance, but I and one other do live above.
The lower level, daylight basement has its own private entrance. Although your space does not have a kitchen, there is a microwave, mini fridge, coffee machine and toaster in large middle room / dining area. There is a futon bed and sofa in the middle room that may be used to sleep additional persons. You have the entire 1200 sq ft. suite to yourself. I live on the above floor which is separated from the lower level by a flight of stairs and heavy locked door; you have complete privacy. There is a large patio and backyard, overlooking some of the beautiful surrounding nature(turkeys and dear and quail visit often). Please no food or drinks allowed in the bedrooms or living room. You may use the table in the middle room for all meals. In the summer, it’s really best to take it outside on the patio. There’s also a table and charcoal grill outside. You’re welcome to use the charcoal grill, but you’re responsible for getting charcoal, and anything else you need to have a picnic. I’ll supply you with a lighter, and grilling tools, and there’s always paper-towel, plates, and plastic wear inside under the coffee maker. At this time the pool table, the fireplace and Laundry room are not available to our guests for use..The second bedroom has a computer and each room has a TV setup with Netflix, HBOgo, Hulu, Pluto, or any free apps which you may download. The smaller bedroom sometimes has trouble getting a WiFi signal, but it does work. The main living room has a large high endTru-def HDR TV and blue ray plater. If you have trouble with anything please just ask. I’m very friendly, and I do my best to make guests feel at ease, and to encourage them to ask me for anything at all. No request is too small. Sometimes my 3 dogs go nuts when they hear something, but it doesn’t bother us if it doesn’t bother you. If it does, let me know, I can put them in the garage.. P.S. The stepping stones can be a bit wobbly. It’s probably safest to just walk through the grass on either side of the house to the back. There are also stairs to the right of the front of the house with a hand rail.
Stevenson is a quaint little town with a small close-knit community. It has beautiful views of the cascade mountains across the Gorge and access to the water where there are all kinds of activities going on. It’s an endearing little town, Stevenson, that almost everyone falls in love with instantly. Check out my chalkboard for lists of good restaurants and never hesitate to ask me about what there is to see and do. If you like going for walks, my street is great for taking a stroll. You’ve got a great view of the mountains, evenings are beautiful, sunsets are gorgeous, and there’s nature and wildlife all around you.
  • Great time! Lots of little touches throughout the space and that bed was SO COMFY!!!

    Adrien2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great roomy space tucked into the trees. A peaceful setting away from town yet close to amenities. The beds are dreamy comfy ( I would like to know the brand of sheets I slept on) and we were toasty warm. The hosts are friendly and hospitable and we appreciated the extra touches of toiletries (I had forgotten to pack face wash and lip balm and both were provided). The walls/floors are thin so don't expect perfect quiet. It didn't bother us at all but be prepared to hear footsteps and possibly pups from above. When circumstances bring us back to the area this will be our first choice of accomodations.

    Sara2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew’s space was clean, comfy and had everything we needed. Matthew responded to our questions, we had a smooth check-in process and the natural setting within close proximity to Stevenson and local hiking trails was ideal. We settled in to relax after a long day of hiking and enjoyed the cozy bedrooms and spacious living room, with the natural surroundings on the property!

    Abbie2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew really does a great job making everything feel comfortable and cozy. The bed was comfortable and the furnishings were cute. It was super easy to check in. The place was clean and Matthew's communication was really nice, notes all over the place to help us navigate! The water bottles in the fridge were much appreciated, as was the Keurig coffee in the morning. We read the local tips over coffee and we were on our way early. Thank you, Matthew, for making our stay so easy!

    Peri2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great value, location and space if you have a lot of people and also very clean. Matthew is very quick to respond and a great host. Only downside is if you are a light sleeper, pick the back bedroom.

    Chantal2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place and very affordable! We had a great stay!

    Katy2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute, rustic cabin feel. I slept so well, the beds are extremely comfortable. Matthew has obviously put a lot of effort into making this a nice place for guests.

    Katherine2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew offers such a nice, serene place to land outside the hustle and bustle of the Gorge city life. We were overly impressed with the space. Wonderful, tree-lined home full of TRULY comfy beds (I didn’t want to leave), a huge shower, tv’s full of the wonders of Netflix and beyond, a morning cup of coffee, an assortment of great books, adequate parking, I could go on. It’s exactly the cozy that we needed after exploring the wonderful brews and foods of downtown Stevenson. The little extra touches about things to do around the area and places to visit were great. A very accommodating and quickly communicative host, we occasionally heard dogs barking but the only disappointment was that we never got to see the sweet lil’ things! We’ll definitely be back. Maybe for a hound’s play date :)

Thank you for taking a look at my place. It located in the heart of downtown Government Camp. It is close to everything; restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, and nightlife. There is even a small convenience store across the street. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families, and furry friends (pets). This is in a 4 unit building. It is a lower-level 1 bed/1bath unit with a full kitchen, bathroom and flat screen TV (we have Direct TV).
  • jessica’s place was perfect for our weekend at meadows & timberline. some of the reviews i read before booking this place made it sound like it was really small or somehow not appealing to spend much time in. we only really needed a place to shower and sleep so i wasn’t too worried but, when we got there, the place was SO cute...and full kitchen, nice/big bathroom, close to everything. anyway, i will definitely book this spot again

    Erin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for a ski weekend. Very close to town. Unit #3 was very clean and had a nice large and comfy bed in the bedroom. Perfect size for a couple and a dog. You can sleep 4, but it gets cozy. A good spot if you’re looking to get up to the mountain for an active, outdoor-focused weekend.

    Megan2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A good base camp for a ski trip, also very convenient to downtown Government Camp ameneties.

    Jenna2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a clean, nicely appointed place right in downtown Govie. You can walk to anything! The appliances and furnishings are new and fresh. Jessie is a great responsive host. It’s hard to find places for one or two people so this is a great find. I will be returning, for sure. But it is a basement so don’t expect views!

    Rebecca2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica was a great and responsive host. The house is divided into 4 units. Keep in mind that the basement units , at least the one we stayed in, are going to be very basic. The location could not be beaten and we did plan last minute.

    Yantiff2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location!! Right in the middle of a cute little ski village and it's a really quick trip over to Meadows or even quicker to timberline. Nice and small and cozy.

    Kate2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • When we arrived at our AirBnB, we had been informed that the water was no longer working in the unit that we booked. As soon as that information became known, Jessie immediately upgraded our stay to another property of theirs just down the road. As far as customer service goes, this was a top notch experience. I would definitely rent one of Jessie's properties again.

    Nicholas Davis2019-12-02T00:00:00Z

  • Debbie's place was spotless and perfect for a weekend away in Hood River. The spot is located directly off a foot trail to town, a really wonderful amenity that we didn't realize was there until we arrived. Debbie is a thoughtful and responsive host - would highly recommend.

  • My husband and I were very comfortable here for 4 nights. The studio was well-appointed and most importantly (to me) -- sparkling CLEAN. It felt very private as well. The beautiful fall foliage views out the windows were lovely. Little things I noticed and appreciated - coffee, filled ice cube trays, quality hairdryer, plenty of towels, shampoo/conditioner/soap, original art by the host, beautiful high-quality finishes throughout. If you plan on walking at night at all don't forget a headlamp or flashlight!

    Jessica2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie's place is a lovely, private studio space located just blocks away from downtown Hood River. Grocery shopping is just as close and a nice trail along the Indian Creek is right out the back door! I appreciated having a kitchenette so I could make some of my own meals. Debbie provided coffee and snacks, and some great tips on local sites to visit. The decor is lovely and the overall experience serene! I highly recommend Debbie's place as the homebase for your Columbia Gorge adventure!

Extremely cozy cabin in Rhodenderon. This peaceful cabin is located on Henry Creek and provides easy access to all Mt. Hood has to offer. It's walking distance from a grocery store, pizza place, Dairy Queen, coffee house and various other shops. 17min from Government Camp and minutes from numerous hiking trails. Other amenities include: -Smart TV -Wifi -Shower -Fully equipped kitchen Warning- You will need chains, traction tires or 4-wheel drive, if it is snowing in Rhodenderron.
The entire place is yours! Play board games, watch tv, hike, relax, cook food, the possibilities are many!
This cabin is located on a dead end road with only two neighbors. The cabin backs up to a creek and a meadow, so it is rather peaceful. It is also a short walk down the road to a variety of shops and stores.
  • Thank you Daniel. We had a great time. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds and exploring by the stream and wooded area. The kitchen and pantry were well stocked. We would love to stay again.

  • The Pinecone Cottage was the perfect place for my partner and I to spend the holidays. It was cozy, the wood fireplace kept us warm, and the board games kept us entertained. There is a rushing creek right behind the cabin that was very beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with what we needed to make a Christmas meal, and the bed was very comfy. I would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a woodsy retreat.

    Whitney2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy place with everything you need, right by a beautiful creek. Very close to grocery and restaurants. Very clean! Cozy fireplace and close to lots of skiing. Great communication with host.

    Laura2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little cottage! We stayed here as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend, and really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were communicative and answered my questions prior to our arrival, check in was easy, and the cottage was cozy! We were here on a rainy weekend but really enjoyed playing the board games provided next to the wood stove. There is a small store and coffee shop just around the corner, but we never had a problem with hearing the nearby traffic. The only issue we had is the bed is very hard, so bring extra blankets if you like a soft mattress! Also be prepared with what you need in the kitchen, we couldn’t find some basic supplies such as aluminum foil. Otherwise we had a great stay and would return again!

    Carly2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel was a wonderful host. Very communicative and helpful, and the cabin was spotlessly clean! We loved our stay, highly recommend!

This is a comfortable eclectically decorated space. 40 miles to Mt Hood Meadows and 12 minutes to Hood River City Center. The property where the house sits has been in my family since 1925.
This is a country farm setting. There is a grocery store 1 mile away in the small town of Odell. Store hours are 7:30 A.M. to 8:00 PM.
  • Great space with a nice kitchen to cook a simple meal. Thanks!

  • Great host and value! Quick communication and clean. Thank you!

    Phil2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We were only here very briefly but enjoyed the setting immensely. Beautiful horses and the sweetest pup. The space was quite clean and the wood stove provided a comfy warmth you just don't get from electric heat (though it IS heated electrically also).

    Sara2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Odell after visiting Hood River with our little one. Our little one loved seeing the horses and the cows across the road. We loved all the amenities in the house. We spent most of our time reading the book collection and doing the puzzle. Thanks a lot Jana for all the thoughtful touches in the house. The house was safe and really enjoyable with a curious toddler.

    Divya2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little private guest house. We booked very last minute and Jana replied quickly with no complaints about the last minute booking. The space is larger than the photos make it seem. There is a full kitchen and everything was very clean. I’d definitely recommend!

    Courtney2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jana's place is in between the mountain and the restaurants, making it the perfect place to call a home base when you're wanting to explore the mountain during the day and enjoy a local bite in the evening. It's very cozy, and the small thoughtful touches meant that I looked forward to coming back every evening after a long day in the snow.

    Bethany2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I really loved the space! The pictures make it seem dark, but there are lights in every corner to make it perfectly pleasant. The amenities were wonderful. To top it off, Jana is an incredibly kind and accommodating host. I went in the wrong driveway and got stuck in mud and she towed me out! Lesson learned- make sure you go in the right driveway and Jana is wonderful!

  • The place is incredibly designed. Truly a modern work of art. The floor to ceiling windows look out on the trees and surrounding forrest, and while you can't see the creek, you can hear it quite loudly if you open a window, very calming. It is a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. It is a great base for exploring Hood River, and all that the Gorge as to offer. Great location.

  • Such a unique place to stay and close to trillium and mirror lakes!

  • We had an amazing weekend here! The house and site are beautiful. Enjoyed reading and listening to the creek in the evenings. We can’t wait to plan our next stay.

  • Nice!

    Mitch2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time with my wife. BBQ worked great and enjoyed the sounds of the creek in the back.

    Ryan2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, house, book collection (even I don’t own that many books by Italo Calvino), view from the windows. Not to mention the creek and the deer wondering through the property. Appreciated ‘Apocalypse Now Redux’. The queen beds are on the small side. The towels and sheets could use an update.

    Cora2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Such a neat house! Location was excellent and being able to open the doors up stairs and hear the creek...it was magical. Our kids really loved the tucked away beds, too! Can’t wait to come back!

  • Inn At The Gorge is a perfect little spot for a weekend get away. It was a perfect home base to explore the surrounding vineyards during the day and city of Hood River in the evenings. Hot tub is a nice addition. We are really happy with the value we got from our hosts during our visit.

  • Michael and his team are doing a great job! The hospitality at the Inn is amazing, the apartment was great, clean, nicely decorated and we were happy about the small kitchen. We enjoyed having breakfast with other guests in the garden. We will definitely come back again if we are in the area.

  • Attractive, clean, cozy room, well-suited to those of us needing a place to stay while on business. Fast wifi, comfortable couch.

    Lora2019-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised. Nice amenities and excellent location, short walk (downhill) to all of downtown HR. The complimentary kombucha on draft and the breakfast burritos from the cafe up the street make this a really excellent value, as well.

    Joe2019-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very hostpitable hosts who take great care of us. Jack, Shiela, and Michael even held our 4 month old baby boy so we can eat our breakfast with both hands. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

    Ranjan2018-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place in a great location. The hosts were very helpful, breakfast was great, and the hot tub was the perfect way to end our stay.

    Karen2018-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • A nice room in a beautiful old home. Our room was comfortable and had a little kitchen that was perfect. The clawfoot bathtub and my hour long soak was the highlight. The hosts were great and very helpful. (we broke a glass and they vacuumed what we couldn't get out of the carpet.) We opted to have our breakfast in our room. (stairs are difficult for me at times) When my husband failed to bring me coffee Jack came up with a tray with coffee and water. (Hero of the day award). We also met the owner, Michael and his dog. (Bernie? Barnie?) Sweet dog! Michael was very welcoming and thanked us for staying. Very down to earth people. Beautiful town.

The provided breakfast was great and filling, the company of the staff at breakfast was wonderful, and our room was well-furnished and had thoughtful touches. • Wow! Jaime and Kevin's place was just spectacular -- well thought out with so many special touches, beautiful decor and very detailed in anticipating what the guests might need. It's a soulful place and every little thing was provided for us. My boyfriend and I especially loved the essential oils and diffuser along with the yoga mat and a roller along with the games provided. I also felt that suggestions for the area was well thought out and presented well. I have traveled a lot and have stayed in so many places from Airbnb's to hotels to homestays and this was by far the best place I've stayed at with what a traveler might need. We loved the Hood River area and will definitely stay here again if it is available.

  • This is the cutest, most stylish Airbnb we’ve stayed in in a long time! There were so many great touches like games, snacks, a yoga mat, remote controlled candles, glassware and a mini water cooler. The bed was very comfortable with lots of extra blankets if you run cold and a fan if you run hot. Communicating with Jaime was super easy and she was able to accommodate us on short notice; we greatly appreciated it! There’s plenty of street parking and you’re very close to the main strip of restaurants, cafes and stores. It was a perfect stay for our quick trip to Hood River and would definitely book again if we visit the area for a longer period time!

  • This is an amazing space with amazing hosts. Sandy and Bob have thought of everything to make you feel at home. The space is super-clean, comfortable and quiet. A great place to stay if you have plans to explore the Gorge! Sandy was quick to respond to questions before we arrived. Upon arrival, she took the time to go over everything available to us. She even compiled a huge list of things to do in the area (hikes, museums, etc.) and had a list of local eateries - even their menus. Travellers have enough to worry about when on vacation. Sandy and Bob take away all these worries so you can just relax!
