Great place to stay, the apartment was very nice and comfortable, and the host was helpful and friendly.

We had a great stay here, it was very clean and comfortable. The location was the main issue as the house address didn't show up on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps. However, it is a 15min drive to Colombo city which was very convenient. Definitely worth the money whether you're traveling with family or friends. Thanks :)

Manjula was a wonderful host. She looked into every need of ours. She had provided all the basic items needed for us to use (food items in the fridge like Eggs,Milk,Drinks,Fruits,Coffee etc never experienced something like that!, sanitary items, towels) and the place was even better than we expected and it had all the things mentioned in the description. Everything was new and clean. Place location also easy to find. Appreciate the privacy given and the fact that we were not disturbed though our needs were looked into. Since Manjula is an Architect her place has an awesome staircase and some nice little touches we love! We would highly recommend this place! We stayed for two nights and had a very good time and we will definitely visit this place again! Thanx Manjula.

This is a gem of a place, i had a great time with ma family and friends. all loved the traditional look. i highly recon for anyone looking to stay in Colombo, pick this place! totally worth it.

This place looks exactly as what you see in the pictures of the listing. There were 6 of us, and we were accommodated in the 12 bed dorm and we had the whole room to ourselves. This place definitely exceeded our expectations of a dorm/hostel. It was VERY CLEAN and very well managed. The staffs there treated us very well (like in hotels), we were even given more options for breakfast and it was really good! Definitely recommend this place for those travelling with friends and or even families.

The room is a little small but clean,and it is a dormitory actually. The hot water works well from time to time.but free breakfast is delicious ~the staffs are friendly!

Harshini's place was clean and central to the hospital where I was doing a medical rotation. We really enjoyed the time at the house and felt very much at home.

I stayed at Andradi Lodge as part of my medical elective. The location was perfect for me as it is a 10 minute walk from the hospital. The area is quiet and safe so I had no worries whilst I was here. The house is spacious and in great condition. There is lots of space to relax downstairs and the rooms are very comfortable. The bathrooms were very tidy and the kitchen was great to cook meals in the evening. The balcony was a plus point! Harshini was a great host. She was very helpful and would sort out any issues very quickly. She was very helpful when I asked her for information about the local area and how get around. Really loved this house and would recommend it for anyone looking a for a comfortable stay in Colombo with accessible links into the city centre.

Harshini welcoming, met us, helped to stay. House beautiful, everything is arranged, there is hot water, kitchen, small courtyard (where children were playing). For a large family is very suitable. Recommend.

I stayed with Harshini in 7.5 weeks and are really satisfied. The house is large and spacious. When I lived myself so I only used one of the bedrooms but it was a spacious bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a well-functioning AC. The house was clean when I arrived and the rent so included cleaning and change of linens and towels once a week. I am a medical student and went to Sri Lanka to have an internship at Colombo South Teaching Hospital. For me it was the perfect situation because it was going to go to the hospital in under 10 minutes. Getting to the beach is about 10 minutes by tuk-tuk so also it is easy. To get a tuktuk you get usually get up in the Hospital Road which took around 7-10 minutes. There were, however, always available tuktuk. Harshini was absolutely fantastic host. She always tried to go the extra mile for me and helped me with everything from understanding the semi-automatic washing machine which I was not accustomed to finding a good gym. If there were any problems, it was only to contact Harshini constantly responded quickly. In short, it's a good house with an even better landlord. I can really recommend this accommodation!

My family and I stayed at Ninel's place in Colombo for 5 nights in November. She was super helpful before we arrived - arranging a trusty-worth taxi who was waiting at the airport and who knew exactly how to reach her place - he was even happy to stop and wait while we had lunch. Ninel welcomed us with fresh juice once we reached her place, and had left fruit and bottled water, and then left us to settle in. The apartment is spacious - we were two adults and one child and it was great for us. The apartment has a basic kitchen, but is totally functional for cooking things like pasta, sandwiches etc. All the appliances in the apartment are new - fridge, tv, washing machines, mattresses etc so work really well and are nice. In the area is a supermarket, a great lake/wetland which we enjoyed jogging around and looking for birds, and a few simple rice & curry places. There aren't too many restaurants nearby though. Ninel is a great host - she lives downstairs and is very helpful in arranging taxi's and giving local tips and information, but is also very attuned to giving guests their space. It takes about 30 minutes in a 3-wheeler taxi to reach central Colombo/Fort area - maybe a bit longer if the traffic is bad, but it's an easy enough commute. We really enjoyed our stay.

This was perfect. Ninel and the nice lady watching her house were incredibly hospitable and warm. They were super helpful and inviting and we couldn't have asked for a better arrangement. The entire top floor was ours, clean, airy, and comfortable. We left Colombo for a few days and came back and decided to book the same place here with Ninel again because we had such a great experience the first time. Will definitely be staying here again if I return to Colombo.

Words can't describe the gratitude for Ninel as she was at our service diligently. We were a party of 4 adults and a baby which the place was able to comfortably accommodate. No grievances, no gripes, no complaints! Highly recommend

While we didn't get to spend too much time with Ninel, her home provided us with a spacious spot to lay our heads after 10 days of hectic travel. We were able to wash and dry our clothes, eat cheaply (supermarket and restaurant very close by), plan the rest of our trip online and watch the US election results on TV! In just 3 days, it felt like our little home and we were sad to leave. We purposely chose to stay south in Dehiwala to experience a different part of Colombo and were glas we did. Thanks Ninel!

Ninel was a really kind host. Her apartment was really beautiful but far from the city center. Neighbourhood was kind but there werent any shops nearby except a supermarket which had good stuff! Ninel guided us really well throughout our stay and anyone living her wont have any issues!

Ninel is a very friendly host who cares for any guests that she receives. Her advice on certain places to visit as well as what to look out for really helped in enhancing my experience while in Sri Lanka. Accommodation wise, while there were some minor, but fixable, issues with plumbing, overall it was a pleasant stay with comfortable furniture, perfect for spending a day in if at all one is in need of a good rest. Ninel is a very supportive and trustful host. Her will to help makes you secured and relaxed. She provided us with the most important information for a newcomer in Sri Lanka and this saved us time and efforts to "discover" it on our own. Her home is clean and cosy with a lovely garden. It is located in a district out of Colombo on a little quit street. The bedroom we used is enough big for three people with a comfortable living room in front.

This place is ideally located with walkable distance to grocery stores and restaurants. Its about 40 Kms from colombo airport. Costs about 2000 Lkr. I was amazed by the pampering that i recd from Shehan & co. Every single day that i spent here had some or the other surprises in box for me. Especially the delicious sri lankan cuisine cooked by shehans wife was out of the world. Be it those wonderful conversation with his Dad about his visits to India while he was a cricketer. What an awesome family to live with....! Kudos to them for being so caring and loving :) i would easily call it " a home away from home..."

We stayed here as four medical students for a month and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. The flat is all self contained and has everything you could want, it is a short 10 minute walk to kalubowila hospital and it's very easy to get into central Colombo by tuk tuk. We found the price to be very good, much cheaper than comparable places. But the main benefit of the flat is Sajeevi, who was always prepared to help us with any questions we had or arranging things like taxis. Both the home and the host are great and I highly recommend it.

We were 2 medical students based at Kalubowila Hospital for 6 weeks and this was the perfect place for us as the apartment is only a 10 minutes walk from the hospital. The accommodation was big and clean with good wifi and TV. Without a doubt, Sajeevi was the best part of this stay. She was so helpful with anything we needed, she was happy to make us dinner, help us to book taxis and trains and take us on trips with her family. The major train station in Colombo City is only 10km away so travelling from here is easy and Mount Lavinia Beach is only 15 minutes in a tuk tuk, where you can find more restaurants and bars than in Kalubowila itself. A great apartment with a fantastic host, would recommend to all medical students looking for accommodation and anyone looking for a base to travel around Sri Lanka from.

Maduka's place is big and clean and it looks new. He is very helpful and accommodated our request to reschedule our check-in day. The location is a little bit far from colombo fort but it is very accessible by tuktuk, train (dehiwala station) and buses. I love staying there again when I visit again sri lanka.

This is just the best homestay you could even imagine. Harshi is an excellent and very interesting host. With exceptional english she always tries to help in every situation. You will feel very welcome, with a lot of personal space. The beach is 5 min away with tuk tuk. The rooms are beautiful, we booked with AC and we had our own bathroom in 1. floor. We were never hungry in this house :) You will love her bubbly personality, do not hestitate to book this homestay!

Harshini is a perfect host. She welcomed us with a breakfast and was always available for any info. The location is convenient, close to the Galle road, 5 minutes walk to Dehiwala railway station. From 1 bedroom and the living room you can have the sea view. I would recommend all my friends to visit her when in Colombo. Great experience.

I think all have been said already. Harshi is fantastic and will not only go one, but many miles extra to help and make you feel home. We are 50+ and had a very nice time staying with Harshi. She helped us with airport transfer and later with trasport further on. Room is nice with a/c, breakfast super and no problem when we asked to leave a bag with our winter clothes to pick up a month later. We greatly recommend Harshi.
