This is a tiny room on a steep busy street with no parking. You may have to park 300m away. There is a gravel driveway with difficult access and a big step. There is a young loud family of 4 upstairs with 2 dogs, we are not ninjas. There is another Airbnb next door adjacent to the room. The heat pump is next to the bed and may be noisy. Please note we are in the middle of renovating.
  • Excellent communication and easy check in with lockbox, close to town we walked everywhere, cute apartment and breakfast provided - just what we needed for a short stay in Launceston.

  • Good little place, clean, cool design, good location and a great host who replies really quick to your messages!

    Luca2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Louis’ space was clean & cozy, complete with stylish decor (love the lights!) and an easily navigable entry. The sweet touch of bacon, eggs, muesli and milk (which we would’ve loved had we not hit the road early to get to the spectacular Freycinet National Park- just 2 hours from Louis’ place) in conjunction with the quick and friendly responses made this a really lovely stay :)

    Freya2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • A quite good value considering the location...easy check in when I needed flexibility...quiet, comfortable, affordable, private, and walkable to decent eateries... (Steves at Centenial) and easy parking off street. Enjoyable and entirely worth the journey.

  • We had a very relaxing stay at Jenn’s place - it was just as described with many thoughtful touches including fresh flowers, milk, coffee pods and other useful condiments. Jenn was also very proactive, checking in to ensure we were ok during our stay. The balcony is very private being at the end of the row and we enjoyed watching the birds, wallabies and potteroos with sundowners on an evening. Check out the gin distillery next to the onsite winery too - great distinctive flavours and a friendly host/ owner.

    Phil2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is pretty much exactly as listed. Modern, clean and well equipped with views to the vineyard and river, and the bonus of wallabies in the scrub below at dusk. We both loved it and would happily recommend a stay.

  • The studio was clean, comfortable and Susan kindly left a few groceries for me. The location was good, though as described in the listing there is traffic noise at times. All in all a good place to stay for a week, or longer

    Diana2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Susan’s place exceeded my expectations in every possible way. The place is very well laid out, which makes it feel much larger than it is. There are extra touches at every step, from breakfast supplies to snacks to toiletries and even scissors when we needed them! What little we didn’t have, Susan went out of her way to provide. We didn’t get to meet, but she made her warmth and generosity felt nonetheless. I wouldn’t dream of staying elsewhere next time I’m in Lonny!

    Alex2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for around a month and I can't say anything bad about the place or about the host. Loved the place, very quiet and clean. And Susan is wonderful, every time I needed something she responded right away. Great choice.

  • My husband and I had a very comfortable stay at Graham's place. Check in was super easy with clear instructions provided well before we arrived. He was always available to help but gave us privacy as we were on our honeymoon. The place was spotlessly clean clean had everything we could possibly need, from basic essentials like milk in the fridge to even iron and hairdryers in the bathroom. We walked in to see a bottle of wine on the table to celebrate our honeymoon which was a very lovely surprise (thank you). Cheers Paul and Denise

Located in the heart of Tasmania's Central Highlands. Your accommodation is in a modern comfortable residence looking north over Great Lake. Your stay includes a healthy, sustaining breakfast. Enjoy the highlands environment with distant views across Great Lake and changing colours throughout the day.
Our house is located in a bush setting and native animals are often seen nearby. It is a private and peaceful setting.
We are in a peaceful location with good options for lakeside walks to explore the area. Ask Bruce about the fishing. He is an experienced fly angler and has plenty of local knowledge. There are several worthwhile day excursions to fill your day. You could visit an alpine lake with interpretation signs telling you about the unique flora. Visit Tasmania's first hydro power station. See artists sculptures. There is more not too far away

A cosy waterfront cabin on The Great Lake, Coldwater Cabin is the perfect place for a secluded wilderness escape. Relax on the deck with a glass of wine and watch the light dance across the lake, or curl up inside with a cup of tea and take in the views through the north-facing windows. If what you crave is the connection to wilderness only Tasmania can offer, then Coldwater Cabin is the place for you. Follow our stays and guests on Instagram: @coldwatercabin
Our cabin is an ideal retreat for individuals and couples alike. Every room looks onto to the lake, giving a feeling of constant connection to the Central Highlands outside. The warmth and ambience of a fire will be a highlight of your stay. The kitchen and living spaces contain wood stoves for heating and ample firewood. And, in the bedroom and bathroom, there are smaller electric heaters to keep you toasty when the temperature drops. Even though the cabin is cosy, the weather is often unpredictable ,so make sure to bring warm clothing for extra comfort. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen has plenty of crockery and utensils, and the deck is the perfect setting for a meal. We stock a basic pantry that includes coffee beans and grinder, tea, salt, pepper, oil, and some dried herbs and vinaigrettes. You’ll need to buy fresh supplies before heading up the mountain. The closest Woolworths is 40 minutes away in Deloraine, and there is a small shop and pub meals available at The Great Lake hotel, if you get caught out. If you feel like spoiling yourself, we highly recommend trying some of the amazing Tasmanian wineries and fresh food suppliers on the drive up to the cabin. Curtains separate the bedroom from the living room, which gives you the option of getting cosy in the evening or waking to an uninterrupted view of sunrise over the lake. The king-sized bed has fresh linen and there are tonnes of woollen blankets for you to use. The bathroom is simple, with a shower and clawfoot bath with lake views. The cabin runs on tank water, so time is of the essence when it comes to showering. The cabin is incredibly special to us. We’ve spent loads of time designing, renovating and curating all the details so that it suits the natural landscape. It’s our very special family space that we want to share with like-minded travellers.
Miena is one of the coldest towns in Australia. It snows more than 60 days each year, including in during January, so you should prepare for any type of weather. Miena is in the bush and also full of wildlife. Wallabies, possums and deer roam the property, a wombat often pops up from underneath the cabin, and an echnida lives in the wood tanks next door. If you're really lucky, you might even spot a Tassie devil nearby. All this fauna makes it really important that you keep your rubbish in the allocated bins during your visit. If you’re into trout fishing, you’ve definitely come to the right place. There are plenty of world-renowned fly fishing lakes in the area. If you’re a walker, Liffey Falls is a 30-minute drive away and Lake St Clair, an hour. There are also a series of shorter walks close by, and plenty of local lakes to explore.

Our comfortable modern industrial style apartment is situated in our private oasis of a garden. With a queen bed, quality linen, fast unlimited wifi and Netflix. We have a few gorgeous chickens, a Springer spaniel pup and red kelpie dog. Located 15min walk to CBD, and 5min to shops and other necessities. Safe on-street parking directly out the front.
The studio space comfortably suits a couple. A kitchenette and fridge for the late night snack or a 3 course meal. The apartment is very private on its own floor with newly renovated bathroom. Our home is on the next level, so occasionally you may hear footsteps from above, as you might see from our reviews this is very rarely an issue, however we want to be transparent about the space. The accomodation is very safe and private with gated entry.
We live opposite Invermay Oval, a stones throw from UTAS Stadium, a short walk to Heritage Park and the North Esk river. We don't have any direct neighbours, so although an active area the accomodation is private and quiet. That being said, occasionally it can be a little active when the oval is being used across the road. Deli, grocery, laundromat restaurants and shops are a 5 min walk away.
  • The guest suite is a fantastic combination of stylish and cozy. There was a super helpful folder of local recommendations on what to see and do, as well as the best cafes and restaurants in town. Communication was easy and timely, check in was a breeze and Anthony was a welcoming host. If we’re ever back in Launceston we’d definitely stay here again!

  • We had three nights at this stylish and comfortable studio. Access was streamlined via a key pad, and the thoughtfully designed studio is in a lovely old Launceston weatherboard, set in a beautiful garden. We were greeted warmly on Friday evening by August the young springer spaniel, and enjoyed every aspect of our stay - from the super comfortable bed, to the lovely walk-in shower, great wi-fi and streaming services, as well as a convenient location just out of the city. An added bonus was a Sunday morning walk on a nearby pathway along the scenic Tamar River.

    Jane2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and plenty of street parking. We loved the freshly baked bread - the smell of it was super welcoming when we stepped into the house and it was delicious! Overall, great place for a stop over with yummy food and attractions nearby.

    Alvin2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The studio was so stylish and set in beautiful gardens. It had everything we needed and more - we were very lucky to get fresh bread and eggs from the chickens for breakfast.

    Angie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Anthony and Leeroy's space is lovely. So stylish and cozy. A basement unit that still feels airy and bright! The fresh bread was a lovely tough, as were the eggs. The garden was beautiful and I wish we had more time to enjoy it. As a basement unit it did have a bit of noise from movement upstairs but it didn't affect our stay. Thanks so much Anthony and Leeroy! Would definitely stay again!

The Roundhouse is located in a place of spectacular beauty, with views of Quamby Bluff and the Great Western Tiers on all sides. The property is surrounded by World Heritage Rainforest which is a result of the protracted Jackeys Marsh Forest Protests. The fresh air, crystal clear water, abundant wildlife and pristine environment are all environmental values prized by the people of Jackeys Marsh. We would now like to share our unique heritage with the rest of the world.
The Roundhouse is a self-contained home set apart from the other buildings on the property. It gives you the privacy and independence to do your own thing. The interior is warm and comfortable with extensive windows to highlight the amazing views of the mountain valley of Jackeys Marsh. The Roundhouse is full of architectural features. From the handmade stonewall basement, through the curved wooden features of the main floor, to the onion top cupola that caps off the building. It is a truly unique property that continues to create special memories for all who visit. "People respond to the shapes that I make. They enjoy the playfulness and freedom of line, and see the resemblance of natural forms in the designs. They appreciate the skill required to make such shapes from straight timber, following Nature's design rules." Kim Clark - Curved Wood Creations ( search this name to see website.)
Jackeys Marsh has a small community of approximately 80 people scattered throughout the valley. Most of the valley is heavily forested with small farms occupying the clearings. Because Jackeys Marsh is off the state energy grid, it attracts those who seek an alternative and more independent lifestyle.
  • Kim’s place is truly unique in setting with views of mountains and wildlife. It is easy to find with clear directions from Kim, and close to several towns and good hiking locations. Highly recommend for the traveler who wants a special experience!

  • Beautiful home, in a perfect setting! The house is like a magical tree house reminiscent of your childhood! We saw pademelons in the garden which was a real treat. The Japanese bath house was incredible, such a great place to relax after a long day of exploring! Would (and already have!) recommend this stay to anyone! Thank you Kim for your kind hospitality :)

Ideal space for kids - a toy cupboard, craft cupboard, bath, cot, highchair and bunny rabbits to feed each day - our daughter didn’t want to leave! A delightful 1870's Georgian terrace set in the heart of the restaurant district. This heritage feel, stand alone townhouse has a tastefully decorated modern interior, a fully secured, leafy courtyard, three off street car parking spaces. It is located across the road from the Launceston General Hospital and within a gentle stroll to the CBD, and walking distance to Launceston's number one nature attraction, the First Basin and Gorge, as well as Penny Royal World and Seaport Precinct.
Close to hospitals and restaurants, but my favorite café in Launceston is literally straight across the road. Aroma's make the best coffee and snacks, well worth a visit.

    Jack2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved calling this place home for our stay in Launceston. Beautiful inside and out. Outside there were roses out front and a well-designed courtyard out back (very nice spot for a lazy morning coffee). Inside is a carefully modernised terrace house - with great spaces that suited our family of four. Lovely touches such as quality linen. And the cafe across the road has fantastic coffee. We highly recommend staying here.

    Zoe2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • It is a historic house, part of the decoration retains the atmosphere of history. The house facilities are very convenient, especially the TV, which is very clear and can be seen while cooking. The host Thomas was very friendly and attentive, all in all a satisfying stay.

This mini house was our trial run in building our main home using passive house principles. It is very cosy in Winter and just a pleasant place to be. We are approx 1 km from the centre of Westbury. The cottage is suitable for a couple, however the extra single bed does enable some flexibility for guests. We charge $20.00 for use of the extra bed. (i.e. f you wish to use both beds, the site requires you to book for 3 people.)
We have been interested in sustainable architecture and design since the 70s and have finally managed to realise our vision of creating an ecologically friendly homestead, using double glazed windows and a German-designed breathable membrane with ducted air system in the walls and ceiling of the buildings to maximise thermal efficiency and reduce our carbon footprint.
The quaint little village of Westbury, centrally located in the Northern Tasmania, is the perfect base from which to explore Launceston, Devonport, the Tamar wineries, Cradle Mountain, the Mole Creek Caves, the Northwest, and, of course our local attractions. •Nestled under the Great Western Tiers, Westbury is a classic Georgian village, surrounded by hedgerows and bursting with old English charm. It was established in the 1820's as a garrison town, and many of these buildings are still in evidence. Today Westbury is a classified historic town with plenty of attractions and charm. These include: •The stately Fitzpatrick’s Inn with its quaint little bar. •The picturesque English style Village Green. •The Westbury Maze and Cafe, a traditional hedge maze with over 1 km of pathways. • Pearn's Steam World, a collection of over 200 examples of historic agricultural machinery. Houses one of the largest collections of working steam engines in the world. •John Temple's Gallery where you will find quality photographs from all over Tasmania. •1840s White House Bakery at the southern end of the Village green. •Anglican Church where there are 13 examples of Nellie Payne’s wood carvings. •A short drive to Carrick where you will find the Copper Art Gallery. Westbury is a 25-min drive (34 km) west of Launceston and 45 min drive to the Spirit of Tasmania ferry sailing from Devonport.
  • A wonder that this little cottage, modern and cozy at the same time, with everything you could dream of finding there to feel at home. Impeccable cleanliness, quality equipment at all levels and an absolutely charming and caring hostess.

  • The property has everything that we needed for a comfortable stay, clean and very well appointed. The surrounding garden is beautiful with a great variety of flowering plants and wildlife. Marg was a great host, easy to communicate with and very considerate, providing toys for our daughter and fresh berries for us to share. Westbury is a picturesque historic town worth a visit in its own right and we would definitely stay again with Marg.

    Martin2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Marg’s place is the perfect country getaway - quiet, comfortable and peaceful. It was an easy drive from Hobart and Marg gave us really good tips of places to see on the way which made the experience even more enjoyable. Marg left us a beautiful breakfast and in addition to that, she brought us a freshly picked bowl of berries in the afternoon which was to die for. The cottage was sparkling clean and has everything that you need for a comfortable stay including shops nearby if you want to stay in and cook. Highly recommended.

    Ana2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Marg and Ian are wonderful hosts, generous and kind. We enjoyed the cosy cottage and the whole property, along with the delicious fruits and vegs from the garden! Highly recommended.

The Old Wesleyan Chapel (1836) is a charming Heritage Building (National Trust) that offers studio accommodation with character and history. We are situated in the heart of one of Australia's finest colonial villages, Evandale. The Chapel has been stylishly decorated and features a double bed and a sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen, large screen TV, washing machine & easy car parking outside. Best of all, you are only 15 minutes from Launceston and 5 minutes from the airport!
The Wesleyan Chapel is one of the oldest listed airbnb properties in Tasmania! You will be staying in the original Chapel built in 1836. Although the property is designed for couples we do welcome families to stay with us, there is a pull out sofa bed for the kids which makes it a great "value for money" option for families.
What makes Evandale special is its one of the prettiest and best preserved historic towns in Australia. Its Late Georgian and early Victorian buildings house shops and Pubs and it's relatively untouched streetscape offer a unique glimpse into Australia's past, with some buildings dating back to 1809. The Wesleyan Chapel is situated in Russell St, which is the main historic street and is less than 100 metres from the popular Evandale Market with over 100 stalls. Every year Evandale holds the World Penny Farthing Championships, which is something to see! The historic towns around Evandale are also delightful and are full of Historic homesteads and if you are looking to visit the popular Ben Lomond area, Evandale is a great jumping off point.
  • Lovely space and very convenient check in and out. Evandale is a gorgeous little town!

  • You would want for nothing in this little gem. Attention to detail and concideration for their guests needs was obvious. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay. Its location is especially good, with all your wants, just a stones throw away. The bakery cafe is very popular and a must for breakfast, lunch or just coffee and cake.

    Jean2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely recommend to stay here. Really nice

  • Very cosy and comfortable. My little dog George enjoyed the fenced backyard in which to play. The password access was easy to do and convenient not having a key to remember. The bed was really comfortable and being a cold night I enjoyed the electric blanket, and extra blanket provided, also the airconditioning. The stove top and oven were handy as I was able to heat a frozen pizza for tea, purchased from the General Store close by. Just about everything I needed was provided by the thoughtful hosts. Many thanks, I did enjoy my stay. The position is so convenient for enjoying this charming village.

    Helen2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • First time staying in a church, a wonderful experience. The room has kitchen facilities for cooking. The location is very close to the airport, the next morning the plane, if driving by car is a good choice. Suitable for two people. The sofa bed is too soft for only one child.

The Ariel Cottage is a beautiful solid sandstone construction built in the heritage style from locally quarried stone. The internal fit out uses timber from our property and other native Tasmanian timber to give a luxury colonial feel with a building that does not compromise on character, aesthetic, or modern amenity. Guests have total, private control of the entire living space including covered deck, your own garden space, and exclusive use of the wooden cedar hot tub set into the deck.
Guests have their own private space away from the main farmhouse. Each cottage has its own private garden area and each cottage is exclusive to a single group - no shared living, bathroom or anything else. Guests also have access to the wider farm with sheep, goats, alpacas, chickens, ducks, and other assorted fowl. Wandering through the gardens or enjoying a glass of wine taking in the idyllic views from the wooden bench overlooking the valley, guests have the freedom to enjoy the natural landscape at their own pace.
The Mole Creek area is a great central hub for access to the entire region. Easy access to Cradle Mountain, the Walls of Jerusalem, and a plethora of short and medium walks including the Alum Cliffs national park walk a mere 800m from our front gate with stunning views over a deep gorge and easy sighting of peregrine falcons, tawny frog-mouths and other sights such as wedge-tail eagles for the bird lovers. The Mole Creek Caves are stunning with several hundred different caves through the wider area. There are 2 main guided caves that are available every day of the year and a range of self guided caves are available for the more adventurous traveler. Other options such as local wineries, black truffle tours, salmon, hazelnut, raspberry and other farms and lots of small and quirky cafes and local breweries round out the offerings to satisfy those seeking a less physical experience or simply needing a break from all the hiking. There is something for everyone out here.
  • Staying at Shane and Yoko’s is a luxury farm experience. The amazing view of the great western tier mountain range is framed beautifully by the back verandah. We sat in the cedar hot tub watching the sun go down next to the serene backdrop. We appreciated the little touches of supplied homemade breakfast options and a welcoming chocolate. Everything was clean and well appointed. Shane recommended a few nearby walks which rewarded us with more awesome scenery. Don’t forget to pop into the nearby Mole Creek hotel for dinner and spot a few platypus at the end of the day. The nearby caves are worth a look also.

  • Ariel cottages are spectacular. The reviews and website don't do it justice. One of the most beautiful areas we have ever visited. Don't miss the Alum Cliffs/Tulampanga lookout 1 km away, it is amazing. Shane and his wife were amazing hosts. The cottages--practically brand new--are beautifully designed with high end materials and local craftsmanship. A great value!!

  • Julia's place is very nice. The bedroom is rather small (and so is the bed) - but the unit has a very comfortable living room with a small kitchen and a balcony on top. From there, the view is lovely. Julia added a lot of small details here and there that make the apartment very cozy and home-like. Julia was very responsive and nice to talk to. We would always stay there again and recommend others to stay with Julia!

Cosy at night. This is fantastic for anyone needing to get away from the hustle and bustle. The scenery in this area is wonderful, it will certainly entice you to discuss a tree change. Lots to do and see. Perfect hosts who pay attention to the little things.

  • This is lovely cottage, compact in the bathroom, but elsewhere lots of relaxing areas, lounge, kitchen, verandah. Very clean, quiet. A lot of pride taken in its presentation to guests. We visited in summer with mild weather, so didnt need heating or cooling, all of which is there though. Plenty of breakfast options provided. Would love to stay again.

  • The feeling of being way out near the forest & mountains, with lots of bird sounds and beauty around. A very peaceful and quiet spot to relax and unwind. Note the ceilings are not real high being a cottage so tall people would be challenged. The cottage is super clean & nicely styled with all you could need provided.... Even a little washing machine. The creek was very special.

  • Great accommodation, very comfortable and spacious for the 4 of us. The beds were really comfortable and the views over the hills and farmland were lovely. It was very quiet and easy to find and a minutes drive down to the town. Kathys place has everything you need for a lovely stay in Deloraine

    Belinda2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely property, very comfortable and good value, with a sweeping view across farmland.

    Sheryl2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Kathy's place, only one night but it was in the perfect location for us to visit cradle mountain (1:30hr drive). The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were pretty, we needed the fluffy blankets! Thank you for having us Kathy.

    Sarah2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A nice and spacious apartment with beautiful views onto meadows with cows and hills in the distance. Very handy for a walk into town or down to the river.

    Susanna2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend! We had beautiful farm views with a NE aspect giving a bright & cheery atmosphere. Facilities were well appointed, very clean, & comfortable. Kathy is a great host, warm, friendly, provided privacy but responsive when needed. Dogs as mentioned in other reviews, were not an issue, only heard them when we first arrived. Check in was supper easy even though we arrived late in evening.

This is a beautifully restored old methodist chapel moved from another country town on to this site in the 1970's. Many hours have been spent on the planning and making this place to stay, a very special experience.
This is a unique opportunity to stay in a building that has very old and modern features. I have created this space to give a relaxed atmosphere. It is quiet, comfortable and restful.
My neighbourhood in a country town is friendly and relaxed. It is quiet and relaxed with a mixture of very old and very new architecture. Walking is a pleasure, which can take you into the village or back into the rural area. There is a racecourse with racehorses training every day, which is a particular favourite for me.
  • The Chapel is well located, clean and a lovely place to stay. Catherine was very accommodating. Would definitely stay again if in area.

    Robyn2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine is a lovely host and her little dog Bosen is a delight. Nice cottage garden and comfy bed.

    Tom2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine's lovely accommodation is exceptionally good value. Lots of care has been taken to make the space warm and inviting. I heartily recommend this beautiful place

    Ruth2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Loved my stay. Catherine was very welcoming and The Chapel was very comfortable, clean and cosy. It had everything I needed. Will definitely recommend this place.

  • Very sweet, great hosts, clean, treats and privacy.

    Felicity2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Catherine is an amazing host and Bouser is just adorable. Only spent 4 days here but would be back in a heartbeat. Lovely little touches, complete privacy but lovely chats when i did see her. If you are visiting this neck of the woods, I definitely recommend staying here

    Louise2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine is so helpful and the space is perfect. Such a cute building and garden. There were lots of personal touches that made this my favourite air bnb to date.

    Sophia2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Sparkling clean, lots of lovely touches from bead, butter, biscuits, tea, coffee and so much more. You’ll need a car, but otherwise lovely to be slightly off the beaten track. Highly recommended but for a minimum of 2 nights!

A great value room, close to the city. Looking forward to having you. This is a small room on a steep busy street with no parking. You may have to park 300m away. There is a gravel driveway with difficult access and a big step. We are a young loud happy family of 4 upstairs with 2 dogs, but we are not ninjas. There is another Airbnb next door adjacent to the room. The heat pump is next to the bed and may be noisy. Please note we are in the middle of renovating.
Quirky and tidy minimal space, great budget accommodation. Can sleep 2 comfortably, and a port-a-cot with baby. You have your own bathroom. Separate access. You will get a unique key box code to enter the room with. NBN wifi available, minimal kitchenette facilities, microwave, hotplate, toaster, kettle, Crisp white sheets, towels, amenities, and a comfortable bed. Walk 20min into town, less to the supermarket, cafes and bars. There is steep hills though. Bus stop 500m away every 30min. Please keep the noise down after 10pm as it may disturb other guests. Eg. TV noise.
Walk into town, the supermarket, or cafes and bars. There is a few MOLE hills so make sure you don't mind getting the old heart rate up.
  • Very nice.

  • Such an awesome space, I had the best time here. Louis was super friendly and really helpful pointing out local spots, and the room has pretty much everything you could need. The addition of eggs and bacon for breakfast was a real plus! Perfect.

Imagine …. Deep cool forest, a beautiful natural swimming pool, quiet peaceful wilderness, organic garden, cozy cabin and an off grid lifestyle. I have endeavored to make Ladybird Cottage ideal for your short stay. Located on the edge of Christmas Hills Forest Reserve and surrounded by old growth forest but close to famous Tasmanian food venues and just a 10 minute drive to the centre of Deloraine, Ladybird Cottage offers you wilderness and solitude next to amenities.
This cottage is fully self contained with kitchen, en suite, spa bath (heaps of hot water for it too) and it is warmed by a modern pellet wood heater. There is an upstairs and downstairs verandah for your exclusive use and quiet well mannered pets are welcome. I respect your privacy and you get unhindered access to my property. Please note though, my house is right next door. (see photographs) Surrounded by an organic garden, there are organic vegetables and berries you are welcome to pick and eat. Currently harvesting; raspberries, loganberries, blackberries, blackcurrants and gooseberries, as well as cucumber, tomato, potato, lettuce, forage greens and herbs to add to your cooking. A BBQ area is also nearby if cooking outside is your thing. There’s heaps of bird life and wallabies to see and this is a great spot to relax and just chill out. Ladybird Cottage is self sufficient, off the grid and powered by a stand alone solar system. There is plenty of power, unlimited broadband internet, satellite TV and Netflix for your entertainment. There is also a (share) washing machine you can use if you need to do laundry. Current desert recommendation: Currently in the garden .... Sadly it is the end of winter and the garden is rather bare. There is always forage greens and there are some potatoes. I sincerely hope you enjoy your stay!
Located at the end of a road and surrounded by dense forest, this place is a wilderness experience. Bush noise is about the only sound you will hear most of the time.
  • Outstanding!

  • Staying at Rob’s place felt like the Airbnb of old - amazing hospitality, personal touches, and a truly memorable experience. His little cottage is the perfect size for two, spotlessly clean and surrounded by greenery. It feels 100 miles away from civilisation, but is actually super convenient - especially if you’re catching the ferry from Devonport. We loved Rob’s relaxed vibe, meeting us briefly at check in and making us feel welcome to explore the property and let our dog roam about. The beautiful spring water bath is dreamy. The bed gave us the best sleep in weeks. The kitchen is generously stocked. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer! Thanks so much Rob.

  • Berries and peaches were plentiful on this charmful quaint airbnb . Equipped with everything you need. Only regret is only booking for the one night. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

  • Very sweet little no frills cottage. Surrounded by gorgeous bush and lots of birds coming to visit at the windows. Hot tub is a delight and the swimming hole looked lovely. Very thoughtful touches with home baked bread, eggs and milk provided. Would happily return for a longer trip.

  • Roberts cosy cabin was a delight! The tranquil surrounds and delicious harvest of fresh berries were a fantastic treat that made our stay delightfully special.

  • What a great little hideaway this is. So cute and quiet. Communication was excellent and nothing was too much trouble - touches such as fresh milk, bread and eggs made us feel very welcome. Perfect get away for a couple. Wish we could have stayed here longer.
