Andalusian house situated in the old town of Salobrena. Renovated taking care to preserve the character of the house. Overlooking the Sierra Nevada and the Mediterranean from the roof terrace. With a private patio that gives you shade. Only minutes from the old town plaza and several good restaurants. Very spacious house and full of character. It's right in the centre of the beautiful old Moorish town, with the opportunity to wander around all the narrow little streets.
There are good restaurants nearby, some with live music, and lovely atmosphere. And there is a little local shop in the old town hall square, just 1 min away, where you may buy warm bread for breakfast each day. This is an ideal location, not only for the old town, but also for the beach, or for a drive up into the mountains, or a visit to Granada.
You can wake up to the smell from the local bakery in the neighbourhood. There are several good restaurants in the old town, but our favourite is La Roka.
  • The accommodation in general is quite good.It is located in the old town, near the castle, it is not difficult to get there by car, but if you park, it has a lot of charm but it may be a little uncomfortable for some who, given that in the area is all slopes. the house has everything and is quite spacious, the only thing we have missed is the television, on the other hand it has wifi and you can watch TV on a laptop or tablet through the internet.

  • A lovely comfortable house in the old town with lots of character. We really enjoyed our stay there. It is a 15 munute steep walk up from downtown Salobreña where we had to park the car every night. It is also true that driving in the old town is not for the faint-hearted with very narrow, steep streets with tight bends & corners! There are steep stairs with (no hand rail) up to the roof terrace which could be difficult for anyone with mobility problems.

  • We had a terrific stay in Daniel’s spacious house. It’s located high up in the village in a quiet part of town - very close to the main square, church and local bars. The house is light and airy. It has a lovely little courtyard and the most amazing top terrace - including beautiful panoramic views, comfy seating and a shaded area! The terrace is great for watching swifts and the sunrise! Just around the corner there’s a small shop for essentials with plenty shops (as well as a local market) at the bottom of the hill. The beach is a 20min walk away. (The walk back up is steep(!) - but totally worth it for the view. There’s an easy local bus to take you up the hill if you’re feeling hot/weary!). We had a fabulous time and would easily stay here again.

  • Daniels house is a beautiful house with a stunning view from the terrace. The house is well equipped and the bedrooms are large and comfortable. The area around the house (old town) is great. Some reastaurant and a small store nearb, connected by idyllic smal streets. The pictures on this site are very accurate. One thing to keep in mind is the steep and narrow streets. Walking up and down the hill is a good work out ;) Navigating your car through the narrow roads can be challenging, but we made it without any scratches. We could park the car next to the house on all occasions. We really enjoyed our stay!

  • Absolutely beautiful traditional house with lots of space. Built like a townhouse over 3 floors so the stairs kept us fit. This is the first rental we have used that felt more like a home than a holiday house. Every kitchen item you could possibly need is there plus plenty towels and bed linen. The best part of the stay were the many mornings/evenings spent on the roof terrace. A bottle of wine, a few good books and stunning mountain views were all we needed ( WiFi doesn’t reach roof terrace but good downstairs in house). There are several restaurants within 5 minute walk as well as a bakery with fresh hot bread every day. 2 small shops close by were handy for small things but several large supermarkets are down in lower town area towards beaches. It’s an easy 15 minute downhill walk to lower town and beaches or there is a small local bus that goes up and down from old town beside the house - runs twice an hour & costs 1 Euro although not on a Saturday afternoon or Sunday. You need to be brave to drive up to old town as streets VERY narrow and parking not always easy but we managed fine after first few trips. We will definitely be back to Daniel’s house again and would recommend it to anyone.

    This modern style 3 bedroom, 3 bath villa with infinity pool is amazing. It is set on a south west facing plot, so it can enjoy sun all day and the wonderful views to the sea, the mountains and even the beach front and the Moorish castle of Salobrena, which are illuminated at night. The villa will have a built size of 286 m2. The villa has been built on 3 levels. The entry level of the villa is actually the middle level of the villa. On that level, there are 2, good sized, bedrooms, both in excess of 20 m2. Each of the bedrooms has a stunning view, a private terrace and an en suite bathroom. You can even enjoy the sea views from the shower and bath tub! One of these bedrooms has a built-in wardrobe and the other has a walk-in wardrobe. The upper level of the villa contains the master bedroom suite, which has 2 terraces. One of more than 8 m2 and another of 38 m2. The views from here are just breathtaking. There is a wall to wall wardrobe and the en suite bathroom features double sinks, a bathtub and a separate shower. Just as in the other bedrooms, you can even enjoy the amazing views from the bathrooms. The lowest level of the villa contains the open plan living area of 87 m2, which is in the shape of a wide ´V´. This form is very convenient since one side has the kitchen and dining area and the other side has the sitting room. Both spaces open onto the pool terrace so you can enjoy views over the infinity pool to the sea and beyond, and you can also move easily from inside to outside so you can take advantage of the wonderful climate of the Costa Tropical that enables outdoor living all year long. One of the best things you’ll experience at this villa is the level of detail and great care the host has provided to give you an awesome stay, from the contemporary stylish furniture to the great light options. The view and scenery is out of this world. Above all that, Carlos, the host, is always one message away, and his response time is usually not more than 10-15 mins which is really great.

  • The views from almost any room or space of the villa is breath taking. So calming and so natural and extra ordinary. But it's not just that. All the amenities in the Villa plus so much more extra that anything you can think of you can find it in the kitchen or in the utility room or in bedrooms. All the rooms have Smart Tv with built in Netlfix,Amazon Prime etc plus extra towels, iron. It has more things then your own home or you can think of. Book with full confidence that you will have an amazing time. The only thing to keep in mind is that Swimming Pool is not heated but that might not be an issue for everyone.

Feel the sea breeze that enters in the house as if it were part of it. The beach is sandy and when entering the water it doesn´t cover. Bars and restaurants in the surrounding area with the best fresh fish! Basketball, soccer and bike circuit track. Almuñécar is a beautyfull town, where you can enjoy its history and tropical cuisine.

    Built in the 60’s in a sought after lower part of Salobreña Old Town, amongst Spanish neighbours, the house is unusually spacious for its location, luminous and with good proportions, approximately 75 sqm. It has HVAC units in living room and bedrooms, and is arranged over two floors and two sets of stairs, conveniently separating the living and sleeping areas. The decor combines original features with a vintage touch. It is not a beach apartment nor a villa with a swimming pool, but rather a charming town house in which to feel part of town life. A privileged base to explore the Costa Tropical, and the beautiful provinces of Granada, Malaga and Almería. As a Spaniard spending most of my time in London, Salobreña has all I am after whenever I go back to my country: authenticity, great weather, & beautiful surroundings. So in 2005 I decided to look for a town house, and found one that had a lot of potential. Since then I enjoy decorating it to keep it as comfortable, spacious and stylish home in which to spend a holiday. The last major upgrade has been carried out in April 2019 with a new floor the living room. On the ground floor, steps lead into an large open plan kitchen, a living room and a terrace. The terrace has a southeast orientation, receiving the sunlight from the morning until well into the afternoon, ensuring protection from local winds, and a mild & pleasant temperature inside the property all year round! White laminate floors, original stone walls, a generous corner sofa, vintage table and lamps, air conditioning /heating, ambience lighting, books, boardgames, WiFi, a large satellite 65´ smartTV… even an original school blackboard! everything contributes to being a space for sharing and relaxing, and an unusually large one for a town house in Salobreña! Downstairs there are two comfortable bedrooms overlooking a quiet pedestrian street, a metro tiled bathroom with an extra large shower, and a toilet. The decor combines original features and local materials, with a vintage, non-fussy touch. If staying with small children, safety gates in stairs can easily be fitted. The property is located in a particularly quiet cul -de sac with no traffic noise, there is car access to the front door. Parking spaces are generally found at the end of the street, and on the parallel road, Ladera de La Cruz. Parking can take longer to find during the Summer months, Easter and Christmas.The property also benefits from being a 10 minute walk (600 meters) to the sea front, and 5 minutes walk to the town centre, where a municipal market, large supermarkets, banks and shops are found. Guests have access to the whole house. Everything is included so all you have to do is relax: kitchen utensils, WiFi, bed linen, towels, a welcome pack of food and final cleaning. When booking for ten days or more a 3h weekly cleaning after the first week is included in the price rent. Car is not essential, but advisable for those who wish to explore nearby towns and beaches. A bus (2) runs from the modern part of Salobreña through the Old Town, past Al Salam, and up to the Castle. With a queen size (150cm) bed and two single (90cm) beds, the house can sleep up to maximum of 4 people. We also have a baby cot. The Old Town of Salobreña is alive with locals, they are friendly people who will talk to you if prompted. This is the real Spain, not a secluded area for tourists. ¿Vas a venir? (are you coming?)
    The Old Town of Salobreña is full of life all year round. Neighbours are discreet, friendly people that have lived here happily all their lives. This is the real Spain, not a tourist enclave!
  • I stayed at Jorge's place for 6 weeks and loved it. The location is fantastic close to both the town and the beach. There is a pretty good hill to climb and if you have severe mobility issues it won't be a good choice. The road up the hill is under construction so the drive is a bit circuitous and you need to have a very small car but that should be resolved in a month or two. Jorge is a terrific host - he is very responsive and really tries to accommodate requests. I was a little concerned about going to Salobrena on my own and he suggested a woman, Hisako, to help me get settled in and she was fantastic! His cleaner Livia is very thorough. I look forward to going back next winter and that is the best praise I can give!

  • The apartment was really clean. We really appreciate the welcome package of fruits and cheese, after driving several hours to find food was unexpected GRACIAS for that. During our 10 nights stay the sheets and the towels were changed. The location is in just in a walking distance to the beach, restaurants and the market etc. Really nice and calm neighbourhood. About our host : The communication was excellent. Everything was well thought out. Would we as a family stay again, definitely yes.

  • It is a beautifully decorated place that is able to improve the photos. Only 10 minutes from the beach, it is located in the old town. Very quiet, you can not hear any noise, neither day nor night. As for the equipment, we have been positively surprised by the amount of things that it includes, from the kitchen to the books and games in the classroom. The television is new and has access to apps like Netflix. The terrace for breakfast is spectacular. We will return the next time we are in the area.

  • Hector's house is perfectly located if you are looking for tranquility, well connected to visit the entire Costa Tropical, its villages, beaches, etc. The house is an old town very well preserved and decorated, very clean, in a mountainous coastal environment. The house is spacious, even worth 6 people per room downstairs. Full kitchen and bathroom, nothing is missing. You can reach the city of Granada in 1 hour from 5 to 15 minutes to the beaches in the area. We have been 11 days very, very well.     My cottage is a 5 - 6 minute drive to Salobreña with its beach and castle and close to Almuñecar, with its lively sea-front activities and historic town (15minutes). Enjoy flamenco, spas, museums, art, caves, history, golf, walking, riding, sailing, Mediterranean food & tropical fruits - on the Costa Tropical. You’ll love the views, the location, the outdoor space and pool, the ambiance of a unique home with character, which is fully equipped and offers tranquility and a large garden.
    Panoramic views of the Alpujarras Mountains, snow capped half the year, combine with views of a long stretch of coastline, but you do need a car to easily reach this beautiful viewpoint. The house and pool are on the same level as the drive you approach by but there are extensive gardens on a lower level, reached by steps down from the front terrace. Fruit trees and tropical plants line the drive and the walks on the lower level.
    The stunning city of Granada is one hour away on motorway roads and visiting the historic Moorish palace of the Alhambra is a "must." Salobreña has a Moorish castle too (ruined now but it was the summer palace to the Alhambra) where cultural events including medieval dinners are held in summer. Restaurants line the beach and are dotted around the old town and the modern town. Several supermarkets can be found in the town too. There is wonderful dramatic countryside in Andalucia to explore - for example the old road to Granada from Almuñecar via Jete and within the Parque Nacional de Sierra Nevada where many roads and historic ancient villages have stunning mountain and sea views.
  • What a lovely cojito in Salobreña! We rang in the new decade at Margaret's place and couldn't have picked a better place to take in a spectacle of various fireworks in the town below, as well as the sounding of horns from the ships in the harbor. Margaret's home offers a ton of outdoor living to enjoy the beautiful views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Mediterranean Sea, and the town below. We enjoyed many bonfires and dining outdoors in the mild winter weather. I can only imagine how amazing the space is during the warmer months. I would have loved to take a dip in the pool, but it was a tad too chilly for that. I enjoy cooking and had everything I needed and more to serve many different tapas and meals. We would 100% stay here again and have already looked at when we might go back!

  • The photographs really don't do this home justice. It is a delightful cortijo situated at the top of a hill, with superb views to the sea and Salobreña. The home has everything you need and more. It is very comfortable both inside and out. There are lots of different seating areas to enjoy at various times in the day. The track is fine - there is a steepish incline, but concreted and manageable. We had a Group C/D hire car, which managed it with ease. Communication with Margaret is very good and the couple who managed the property are extremely helpful. You could stock up at the beginning of your trip and not leave during your stay, but you'd miss all the good restaurants in Salobreña. We would highly reccomend this home and would very happily return.

  • A fantastic house. We were welcomed by Liz and Barry. They look after the house and are friendly and warm people who were always available for questions or help. The house is on a hill on the outskirts of Salobreña. The view of the sea and the town is truly breathtaking. It has a large terrace and a nice swimming pool. The garden is beautiful and is well cared for. The house is also larger than we expected. We were very enthusiastic and enjoyed the luxurious feeling that this place gives. For us it was more a villa than a house. And that for a more than reasonable price. You do need a car. But everything is easy to drive and reach. The Wifi worked perfectly. In short, a wonderful vacation spot and we are sure that we will return one day.

  • The cortijo really is as good as the photographs. It is very spacious for two people with several different areas to relax in; we hardly left once we were there. The pool is lovely, surrounded by flowers and fruit trees. The house is simple and stylish, really well equipped and very homely. Our favourite excursion was into the hills to the Junta de los Rios in the National park. We had a very warm welcome from Liz and Barry, who showed us the way up to the house, and were very friendly and helpful. We will have very happy memories of our week. Thank you Margaret.

    With private pool and garden this apartment is a great choice for summer or winter. This extensive 90 sq.m. apartment has a gated perimeter with available private parking and independent access. The guest facilities comprise a sun room, lounge diner and fully equipped kitchen, large master bedroom with a 1.8m double bed, second bedroom with twin beds and an en-suite shower/wet room, family shower and bathroom, separate toilet, and a utility room with a dishwasher and washing machine.
    The Monte de los Almendros Urbanization is an up-market community of over 370 individually designed villas that was conceived and inaugurated in the 1960s and has grown in reputation and stature over the intervening sixty years to now be considered as one of the top ten of Spain’s urbanizations. The community occupies an enviable elevated position overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the Costa Tropical of Southern Spain, and is around one hour’s drive East from Malaga International Airport, or about a 45 minutes’ drive South from Granada’s Airport. The community is located just outside the town of Salobreña and the local amenities, shops, restaurants, cafes and beaches are, on average, less than a ten-minute drive away.   • The hospitality at Susi and Paul’s place was incredible. What lovely people they are and it was such a pleasure to stay in their home, which genuinely really did feel like it was made to be home for us too. By the time we left I felt we had made new friends and that it had felt like staying with family. They have their own space and there is no intrusion whatsoever. The Villa is completely private and the pool area and space inside is fantastic. We are a family of five, with my husband and I, and our three boys. I’m always concerned about my boys making noise and disrupting other people as they are quite typical in terms of their gregarious behaviours at times - but Susie and Paul not only understood but they enjoyed them being there. They really are such warm, respectful, educated and interesting people to be around. There was never any expectation for us to spend time with them and we did our own thing but did also spend a little bit of time with them too. Idid not expect that from a stay but that was just the way it unfolded even though there was no expectation on their part either. I never felt like our privacy was invaded though nor that there was any expectation of us. It was just really easy going. The villa in itself is superb. It’s in a really upmarket area and the sunsets from that part of Salobreña are fantastic. We made good use of the football pitch/basketball court/tennis courts and our family went there every single day as well as going to the local beach which is also very nice and easy to park close by. It was great to be able to have the sports area and our kids really and loved the chance to be able to use it as a family. Salobreña is a really nice place and far more traditional than a lot of Spanish resorts which we personally liked. The rooms inside the Villa are very clean, well equipped, comfortable and spacious inside. My boys had three beds in the second bedroom which worked well and the wardrobe spaces are massive - there was ample room for them together. My husband and I had a fantastic room which had a super king size bed that was extremely comfortable. Loads of space. The whole apartment is very well equipped throughout and there were lots of extra finishing touches that just made it feel really personable and welcoming. The parking is ideal inside a gated garden and the area is tranquil and away from the hustle and bustle of the town yet still very easy to access the beach, supermarkets including a Lidl supermarket, petrol filling station and the castle or town. Various bars/restaurants within a short drive. Car hire is probably a really good idea for this property and to be able to make the best of the area in general. What a wonderful stay and we were both really grateful and our kids were too - all saying how lovely they both are. Thank you so much Paul and Susi and we really hope to see you again.

  • After having to drive up a rather steep but good road which runs through a beautiful urbanisation situated on a hillside above the lovely town of Salobrena, you arrive at your accomodation. A lovely big villa, where you have use of the groundfloor appartement with a beautiful terras and private swimmingpool surrounded by a garden. The owners, Susi and Paul, live on the first floor but you have complete privacy. However, they are nearby if you need anything. Susi and Paul went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and sort things out if necessary. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

    This lovely country home sleeps up to six people comfortably. It has two bathrooms, a living area, a dining room and full kitchen. The most impressive aspect of the house is its location which boasts panoramic views overlooking the mountainous valley, visually distinct with its terraced olive, orange and almond groves, among others. The property also has a garden and a small terrace with a BBQ and a wood fired oven.
    The somewhat secluded nature of the property and therefore promotes a disconnected and restorative stay. Not your typical beach destination for southern Spain; the sensory experience of the location, with the smell of wild rosemary, pine and almond trees mixed in with the vibrancy of orange trees (especially in late winter-early spring for the latter two) makes this a truly enchanting stay. Great for nature lovers, writing, drawing, painting, hiking, or simply to escape. As a certified nature guide, I will be happy to arrange walking tours of the surrounding region to teach you about the local flora & fauna, if this is of interest to you.
    The situation of the house offers wonderful views of the entire village of Guájar Alto. The garden with barbecue and bread oven invites you to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

  • It’s a very beautiful place in the mountains Guajares. The view from the house is stunning! It’s very quiet up the mountain and you can really ‘chill’ at the place. The house has everything you need and there is a lot of space for everyone. José was very nice. He communicated well, always reacted very quickly on messages in English. He doesn’t speak really good English, but that didn’t matter. He wanted to help us with some hiking tracks, helped us with driving to the house, showed us everything etc. The last day the heater didn’t work anymore, but after telling me he told me he would let it check through a technician. This all reflects how he wants to care for the guests!:) I would really recommend the place!

  • This place was amazing and absolutely perfect for a girls group reunion. The pool and the views are simply spectacular. We loved that every room had an en suite bathroom and the kitchen was well equipped for a few simple meals. It’s a bit of a winding drive up the hill to get there but well worth it! Johannes had some excellent local suggestions and we appreciated the quick communication. Salobrena is lovely. It’s a bit quieter than some of the other nearby towns and not quite as touristy. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to be back.

  • I cannot express enough how much we enjoyed staying at this incredible house. It was beautifully decorated and all the amenities that made our stay feel pampered and extra special. Our hosts Claude and Pascale met us at our arrival and went through the house and showed us around and also at our departure to assure we had a nice stay. We loved the upper deck (fantastic water view) as our morning coffee spot and the pool area in the evenings after a full day of exploring was very refreshing. The 3 bedrooms with each one having a bathroom was perfect for our family of 5. All the windows and terraces were placed in a way that everything felt very private even though there were other houses close by. I would definitely stay here again if we ever get the chance and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the lower Andalucía area.

The apartment is well equipped to self cater and Almunecar has a great range of food outlets. The local bus stops just outside and runs frequently into the centre but it is a lovely walk into the town along the promenade. Krista was a smiling warm host who made us feel very welcome. Her excellent English made for easy communication ( my Spanish is not strong) and she responded very quickly and helpfully to our email enquiries.

    En esta finca he pasado mi infancia junto a mi familia, con el paso del tiempo decidi reformarla para poder disfrutar de ella con mas comodidad sin ruidos ni extres.Hoy en dia recibo huespedes que me lo confirman. Rodeada de subtropicales con sabores que despierta todos los sentidos.

You have two options: leave it up on the road if you are lucky and in a not very safe place or on the promenade if you have a place and walk up a good slope with a flashlight since the street is cut and very dark.

    This contemporary villa has 4x bedrooms and 4x en suite bathroom. Since the bedrooms are very large, the villa can actually comfortably sleep up to 12 people, not counting children that sleep in cots. This villa, which faces south west and has sun all day long, was designed to enjoy outdoor living and the wonderful climate that Salobrena has to offer all year. It has 3 enormous terraces plus 2 garden areas with lawn. The focal point of the villa is the stunning heated, 12 x 5 meter, infinity pool with black mosaic tile. The living area looks out to and opens onto the pool terrace and the covered terrace, which is the heart of this home and where you will spend hours relaxing and enjoying ´la dulce vida´! The covered terrace has a table and chairs and it has a chill out area with 2 large sofas. There is an outdoor kitchen with a bar on the pool terrace. It has a gas barbeque, sink and a refrigerator so people can keep the BBQ-chef company! There are automatic awnings infront of the living area and the covered terrace so there is protection from the sun when you need it. As you can see the owners have spared no expense or attention to detail. The pool has an automatic cover that is solar so you can enjoy a nice warm pool in an environmentally friendly and economical way. There is a heat pump as a backup so that a temperature of up to 30 degrees can be guaranteed all year if you would like more than just the heating received from the solar cover. There is also a hot tub in the garden near the pool, so you can easily go back and forth from the pool to the hot tub. The garden areas are lovely for children to run and play in. The villa is extremely spacious and well appointed. There are wonderful sea views throughout the villa, hot and cold air conditioning, WIFI (optic fibre) internet access and television in multiple languages. The layout of the villa is as follows: At road level, there is secure parking for multiple cars. A few steps lead down to the entry level of the house where there is a large terrace. Inside on the entry level, there are 2 good sized bedrooms, each with very large en suite bathrooms which have double sinks and walk-in showers. One of these bedrooms sleeps 3 people. It has two twin size beds that are side by side so they are suitable for a couple that want to sleep together, but they can also be separated. Additionally there is a sofa that easily converts into a bed, which can sleep one person (the mattress is 123 cm wide). The other bedroom on this level is very large and has a super size bed and a sitting area with 2 comfortable chairs and a table in the middle. The ensuite bathroom of this bedroom has a bath tub in addition to a separate shower. On the lower level of the villa, there is a spacious, open plan living/dining and kitchen area, which has 4 enormous sliding glass doors that give direct access to the pool and to the covered terrace. As mentioned previously, there are automatic awnings that open and close as necessary to keep the house cool and comfortable, even though the house also has air conditioning. The kitchen features and island so you can cook while looking at the sea views and the pool. There is a double fridge freezer and a bar. There are 2 comfortable, leather sofas that have seats that slide out for extra comfort and head rests that can be raised or lowered. There is a flat screen TV with channels in various languages. On this level, there are 2 en suite bedrooms on this level that are identical in size to the 2 bedrooms on the entrance level. One of these bedrooms sleeps 3 people. It has two twin size beds which are side by side so they are suitable for a couple that want to sleep together, but they can also be separated. Additionally there is a sofa that easily converts into a bed, which can sleep one person (the mattress is 116 cm wide). The other bedroom on this level is very large and has a king size bed (160 x 200 cm) and a sofa bed that has 2 separate 90 cm wide mattresses. Due to the layout of this villa, it is ideal for 2 families spending a holiday together as there is a master bedroom and what could be considered a children´s bedroom on each level so each family could have their privacy. However, the bedroom with twin beds are perfectly suited for couples as well, and they also have very good quality mattresses. Therefore if you want 4 children to all sleep in one room, then that would be possible using the master bedroom on the lower level and having the adults use one of the smaller, yet still very nice, bedrooms. The villa is very flexible to accommodate different types of groups and up to 12 people plus babies. The villa is very spacious, both inside and outside, so a large group would be very comfortable. In addition to the terrace on the entry level and pool level, there is also a roof top terrace. There is a garden below the pool terrace as well where there is a large area with lawn and fruit trees. There is a separate utility room on the level of the pool with a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The community in which the villa is located has a recreational area, which is less than a 12 minute walk away from the villa. Guests have complimentary use of the communal tennis court, pool, children´s pool, football pitch and playground. There is a snack bar there which is open in the summer months.   • The villa was exactly as it appears in the advert. Wonderful spacious place, with all that you could ever need for a holiday. There was only the two of us and we were rattling around in the place it was so spacious. The location is lovely with wonderful views. The hot tub is excellent as is the infinity pool. We had the heating on the pool which was lovely, but a bit expensive. It was a bright sunny week and the solar cover was over the pool for the whole week other than for maybe 4 hours, for when we were in it. The cost was 187 euros which seemed excessive. All of the bedrooms are well equipped and very comfy mattresses. Good en-suites in each room too. Would definitely recommend the villa either as a real treat for a couple looking to get away for something special, or equally as good for a larger group. The villa has loads of all that you will need even as a crowd.

You'll enjoy spectacular views of the mountains, the Mediterranean's blue waters and the setting sun. Almuñécar & Salobrena beaches are a 20 minute drive through an orchard lined valley. Many more spectacular beaches are very close too. Restaurants, shops, walking and bike trails, waterfalls, ancient caves, a golf course, flea markets, supermarkets, and more are within a short 20 minute drive.
    Our beautiful villa sets atop landscaped terraces of avocado, almond, olive, papaya, mango and other fruit trees. There are grapevines, evergreens and pine trees too. This spacious, charming, Moorish and Andalucian style house is on two different terraces. Each level has its own kitchen, bathrooms, living room and bedrooms. This house is ideal for sharing as each level provides privacy. Recently refurbished to a high standard, it has 4 comfortable double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and the use of a private blue-tiled pool. There are two large terraces and porches with spectacular views of the mountains and surrounding countryside along with the blue waters of the Mediterranean. Sipping a long cool drink and watching the sunset from a terrace is a truly unforgettable experience. The night time skies are filled with sparkling stars and this is one of the quietest spaces you will ever find. Both sitting rooms are spacious and open directly onto shaded, comfortably furnished terraces. Each terrace has a barbeque and is perfect for `alfresco´dining. The modern country kitchens are fully equipped with a 4 burner hob, an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, kettle, coffee makers and a wide selection of utensils. The house is close to the charming villages of Jete, Otívar, and Itrabo where you will find a variety of reputable local restaurants where the food is predominantly locally grown. Supermarkets, a daily fruit, vegetable and fish market and a weekly clothes and pottery market can all be found in the nearby town of Almuñécar, 20 minutes by car. Because we are in the mountains you will need transportation to get to the Villages, Almunecar and any other place you decide to visit. For walkers and wild life lovers, the Sierra Almijara and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada offer some wonderful walking throughout the year. Keen birdwatchers will regularly see such birds as kestrels, brown eagles, hoopoe birds, honey buzzards and many other varieties seldom seen in Northern Europe nowadays. Other nearby beauty spots include waterfalls near Otivar and the wildlife park in the Peña Escrita. A beautiful secluded bay about 20 minutes drive away is an ideal place for enjoying the sun and swimming, followed by a mojito and tapas at one of the picturesque beach bars. Traditional white Andalusian villages are situated in the mountains about an hour´s drive from the villa. The Sierra Nevada is also only 1 hour away, where you can ski some part of the year.
    Our villa is very peaceful with many walking paths and friendly neighbors. We also have a large parking area steps away from the house.

The house was clean and according to the AirBNB description. We used the kitchen a lot, and it allowed us to enjoy a Merry Xmas with no problems. As the house is big and made of concrete/tiles, it required a bit of warming before we could settle in on the first day. However, Marianne and Timothy provided us with the pellets and fire wood, so heating the house was not a problem either. Together with the beautiful walks to the mountains this was an unforgettable Xmas for us.

It is a detached house composed of 2 bedrooms with capacity for 4-5 people, a bathroom, a toilet, kitchen and living room.
    You can access the house directly from the street and you can enjoy from the first moment an excellent view of the Mediterranean and Salobreña castle on the south side and Sierra Nevada on the north side, which you can enjoy from the living room during your holiday. The Villa has been recently completely renovated with new furniture. There are new beds and mattresses, and a totally new kitchen. The bedrooms and the living room are equipped with air conditioning to keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter, and the living room has a fireplace.

House could definitely use a few things like sheets that fit the beds and cleaning supplies, etc but Juan brought a bunch of things over when we contacted him. Juan was flexible with us about changing our dates and was helpful in that regard. The house is lovely, perfect for a family of 4. Pool is beautiful and the grill was put to a lot of use. We'd return.

  • Stunning view of Salobrena! Our family stayed in this beautiful house for one week, and trust me the pictures are 100% true! The house, pool and everything is in perfect shape and kept very clean. All rooms are spacious and very good and quite A/C equipment through the whole house. The pool deck is nice and large, it has also an outdoor BBQ which we used quite some times. The view from the pool deck or the little terrace at the kitchen side are amazing. The kitchen is well equipped you will find all the machines you need to make your vacation perfect. (Let the machines do the work :-)) The communication with the owners is perfect and are very helpful. The living room area has a nice couch to relax on and two dining tables, so just pick the table with the most beautiful view. There are two things to keep in mind. The house is all the way up on the mountain which takes between 10-15 minutes, second due to the location there is not direct internet cable coming to the house, the internet signal is transmitted from a lower area of the mountain, this means internet works for email and some casual browsing, but streaming like netflix or setting-up a VPN is not possible. But with the large European data bundles on mobile devices this was not a problem. Overall I would definitely recommend this place.

The house has unparalleled views. 360º panoramic of the coast and the mountains with a feeling of total privacy (very important, not to disturb or be disturbed). The descent is a spectacle of splendid panoramas. In the middle of January and we were almost all the time outside- there are several spaces (very complete construction barbecue area and chill out area). Large, functional and tasteful rooms. Ceilings with views of wooden beams throughout the house and a living room with large and comfortable kitchenette in case it is cold, with its good fireplace. By the way, the refrigerator cools very fast (important). If the house is a 10 the host, Miguel, is not far behind. It solved all my doubts, which were a few, in a quick response time. The facilities were as described with the apartment being just a couple of minutes from the beach. The communal pool was closed for the season (which we knew before booking) but it was in attractive surroundings in the centre of the complex. Everything was very quiet due to the time of year but there were still enough bars and restaurants open - all giving free tapas with every drink - and the supermarkets were only 5 minutes walk away. Lovely Spanish resort with hardly a word of English heard all week. Definitely recommend it.

The views from all principal rooms are simply stunning! The villa has its own private, heated pool surrounded by terraces and a mature garden with excellent seaview. Located on a plot with no major roads between this property and sea this villa is close enough to the sea to see the dolphins playing below. The approach from the entrance gate at road level to the front door is via a pretty entrance patio just a few steps down from the road and garage level. This walled courtyard area with the Spanish fountain sets the property away from the street and provides privacy. From this area you can go around the property to the pool area and surrounding gardens or to the upper garden area with its barbeque area and the build in Argentinian Barbeque surrounded by fruit trees. The villa has an open plan dining and living area which are on two levels with a separate kitchen adjacent to the dining area on the upper level. Close to the entrance there is a bathroom with shower. The dining area overlooks the living area and on descending a small number of steps you enter the open living area with high ceilings and large windows which means the area remains bright and open with views south, along the Costa Tropical, Salobrena beach and to the rock on which the castle in Salobrena sits. In the corner of the room there is a wood burning stove, ideal for the cooler evenings in the winter adding both heat and atmosphere to the property. Part of the terrace is covered which avoids too much light entering the living area directly, keeping it cooler as well as providing useful shelter from the sun when relaxing outside.   • A spacious villa with a nice pool and jacuzzi. The view from the house is wonderful. We were 8 persons in 3 generations and the house was perfect for us. Salobrena is a nice town, but a bit too far away to walk for shopping.
