The house was designed to preserve the original spirit of Bunong architecture. The house structure helps keep warm during the rainy season and naturally cools down during the dry season—all without air-conditioning. We’ve added large glass windows to allow natural sunlight in, as traditional Bunong homes don’t have windows and can be quite dark. Each room also has custom-designed airflow-only windows (they cannot be opened), keeping fresh air inside while respecting the original design.
