Burnside Cottage Craignure sits at the south end of Craignure bay with village sea/port views and the old pier to the front. A great place to relax and watch the ferries come and go. Burnsides a comfortable well-equipped proper ideal for couples or friends. Craignure is central on the island with it's village shops, hotel restaurants, cafes, pub and the main ferry port. Parking is to the front but a good bus service both north and south leaves from Craignure hourly if you haven't got a car.
Burnside is comfortably furnished throughout, with electric heating and water. With it's private garden you can enter the property through the front door into the porch/hallway, there is bathroom on your left with bath/shower and toilet. Right is the large bedroom with front facing sea/ village views. Furnished with a Queen size bed, which can convert into two single beds (please request this on booking) with a large wardrobe and plenty of drawers. The good size Lounge straight ahead has sea views from the large window to the front. This is a light relaxing room with an open fire, comfortable soft furnishing, freeview sky TV (bring your skycard with you) and a dinning table to the back of the room. Just to the back of the Lounge is the equipped kitchen with everything you'll need - cooker, hob, fridge/freezer and microwave, kettle & toaster. The back door in the kitchen leads out to the private back garden with a patio area with a table and chairs. The Burnside burn runs just at the bottom of the garden.
Great food is served at the local Craignure pub just 100m away. Both the hotel and lodge in Craignure also have non resident restaurant which are fabulous if you don't wish to cook. The Craignure spar and Salen spar (10 minutes away and bigger)

Aandehul is a beautiful architect designed house with spectacular views across the Sound of Mull. It has an open plan living area with a wood-burning stove, two bedrooms and two galleries accessed by spiral staircases.
The house faces due south - with a large deck and open grassy area looking across to the island of Mull. There are extensive views to the east towards Oban and the hills beyond. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker with induction hob and dishwasher, and a utility room with washing machine and drier. One bedroom has a super king size bed and an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower; the second bedroom has two single beds (can be made up as one super king size bed) and an adjacent shower room. The accommodation is ideal for four but there are two additional narrow beds in one of the galleries – suitable for children. The second gallery has a television with DVD player. Bedding and towels are provided. There is an additional refrigerator and a freezer in an outside barn. The house is well insulated with triple glazed windows and skylights, and under floor heating. There is wireless internet and good mobile reception (especially for O2 and Vodaphone). The house is well located for walking, bird-watching, cycling, fishing, sailing and kayaking. The village of Lochaline is less than two miles along the road and has a small general store with post office counter, café and excellent restaurant. The vehicle ferry over to Mull runs regularly from Lochaline. Aandehul is an excellent base for exploring both Mull with all its attractions and access to Iona, and the lovely hills and woods of Morvern. The minimum stay is three nights. One small well behaved dog is allowed (after discussion). ‘Aandehul’ means ‘a place to breathe’ and we hope you will find that it is indeed a place to rest and relax in quiet comfort.
  • Our time here was truly wonderful. Thanks to Ann (an excellent and responsive host) everything was great in this stylish cottage, including comfy beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and books on local history to read by the fire. The location is perfect for exploring Morvern and Mull, with stunning landscapes and great wildlife. This is an extraordinary place to stay!

  • We absolutely loved our stay - the view is incredible and with lovely walks close by we enjoyed getting away from it all in this idyllic setting.

    Lisa2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We travelled as a family of 3 and arrived to find the lodge very welcoming. Could never get tired of the views across the Sound of Mull and whatever the weather we thoroughly enjoyed it. The place was clean and had everything we needed. Ann provided detailed instructions of how to get there and gave us a good heads up of what there was in the area to do. Would highly recommend.

    Alistair2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place on planet Earth to spend some tranquil days. Words cannot describe the view that this cottage offers. Beautiful and clean and cared for by a perfect host ... my wife and I will certainly be back!

    Ian2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was an amazing space and the views over the Sound of Mull were truly spectacular! Ann was very speedy at responding to our messages in advance of the trip. The cottage was well-stocked - it had everything we needed to make Christmas dinner.

    Izzy2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second visit to this place and it was as special as our first. I don't think we'd ever tire of the views, the tranquillity, the space and the home comforts that Ann so thoughtfully provides.

    Alex2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Hi Ann, many thanks for sharing your home with us. Our stay truly was a family holiday to remember and treasure. The cottage is positioned in a stunning and quiet location with the most breath taking views. It felt like home to us and what better retreat at the end of a busy day walking / sight seeing! Especially with the log burner lit and a glass of wine. The bottle of wine on arrival was a welcome touch as well after a long drive. Many thanks Nick, Sue, Harry and Ollie.

Or, sit in, play chess and watch every variation of weather unfold before your eyes over The Sound of Mull. Truly beautiful, incredibly well maintained, luxurious, and hosted impeccably. Definitely go stay here!

  • This is a great cottage for four friends, or a family. Comfortable, warm, well equipped. We found everything we needed, and Sarah goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. We already loved the area, and it was a huge pleasure to use the cottage as a base to show some friends who were new to the area what a great place to visit Morvern (and Mull) are (even in winter and in the rain!). Top notch.

  • We really enjoyed staying at this hidden lovely place. What a view! We felt very welcome at Iain & Tom‘s house. They were so super nice and we‘re so thankful for their heart warming hospitality

    Tamara2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lochaline.... Gets you a backstage pass to the beautiful Isle of Mull. Staying with Iain for a couple of days before jumping over to Mull is a ticket to a great laid back touch to stunning Scotland. OR ...Be adventurous and walk to the castle or just enjoy a stroll along the water and the quartz quarry, either way the vista is beautiful! The beds upstairs are comfortable; and the beautiful views of the loch below provide an opportunity to watch the ferry's comings and goings. The bath provides a sumptuous soak after a long day on the highlands or a quick wonderful shower so you can keep on trucking. Breakfast fare exceeds the typical cereal/toast/instant coffee offerings that many hosts have. Iain puts out a delicious spread of meats/cheese and fresh baking + the typical offering you see at other BnB's. His breakfast keep you going until supper time. Lastly, we all want to stay in touch with home and they have terrific internet and wifi capabilities Thanks Iaian give Whisky a hug & Cheers! Ann & Lorne

  • This place was all we needed for a few days exploring Mull. Even with the cost of the return ferry every day it was more economical for us than any listing we saw on the island itself

    Michael2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't ask for better, 5+ stars on all accounts

    Alan2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fabulous apartment for 2 people in a particularly stunning part of Scotland. The old fire station has very recently been converted into 3 very modern apartments - Red Watch, Blue Watch & White Watch. Each apartment has it's own front door and all are available on Airbnb. Rob and Lesley are ideal hosts - they are not intrusive but are on hand if you need them. We stayed for a week and the apartment had everything we required. What really made it special was it's location overlooking the harbour. This was a great base for exploring the surrounding area. A small car ferry shuttles back and forth all day between Lochaline and the Isle of Mull. We also enjoyed a day out on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. If you enjoy the great outdoors then this is the perfect place for you!

Laga Cottage at Laga Bay , Glenborrodale is located on the remote Ardnamurchan peninsula , a beautiful wilderness area on the West coast of the Highlands with access to hills, sea and wildlife. The Cottage is unique with views of the sea and access to Loch Sunart. It is best used by smaller numbers so couples / two or three adults but also for families with younger children . To explore the area fully transport is advisable but the cottage is good to relax in and as a base to walk and cycle.
This is a very pretty old cottage around 100 years old , which has retained many unique features. It is light and airy in summer and cozy with a wood burner for Autumn and Winter nights. It has a cozy sitting room with TV and DVD player, stove with a supply of fuel , 2 bedrooms, kitchen and modern shower room. There is a lovely sea facing sheltered area to sit outside and an enclosed garden to keep dogs and children safe
There are several other homes nearby but the area is generally remote and very quiet. The Salen Jetty shop is a well stocked shop and cafe which you will pass on your way , 4 miles before Laga. It is open 7 days a week. There are excellent places to eat in Acharacle, Strontian , Mingarry and Kilchoan , as well as the Salen Inn which is the closest to Laga. There are also many beautiful beaches to visit on the peninsula , including Sanna , the Singing Sands , Dorlin and Ardtoe beach . There is also easy access to Tobermory on Mull via the affordable hourly Kilchoan Ferry link. You will see Red deer, the resident Pine Martin and the immediate area hosts a Golden Eagle , otter and much more if you observe for long enough . There is an interesting wildlife centre at Glenmore , some 3 miles west , where you can learn about the area and have lunch or coffee. There are boat trips available on both Loch Shiel and Loch Sunart , trips to Staffa to see all kinds of sea and bird life possible In the summer months , catching fish from the pier is a favourite and some of the local estates have trout fishing available . The area is great for walking , cycling, fishing , kayaking , stunning beaches and generally just appreciating rural life .
  • We had a wonderful week away at Laga Cottage. The cottage was spacious and had everything we needed. Mairi and Johnny were excellent hosts and even offered to help us out when we thought our rental car might fall through. The location was great, we went on a number of scenic walks within a short drive and went on day trips to both Mull and Skye. The highlands were beautiful. It was a perfect place for a quiet, relaxing week away. If you're new to driving in Scotland, make sure to read up on the road rules about single track roads. There are a number of these around the cottage, which might be a bit of a surprise initially if you're not used to them.

    Sara2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really fantastic cottage in the most beautiful location - a great place to get away from it all. We saw seals and eagles the fishing was good. The support we received from Mairi & Johnny was superb they went above and beyond nothing Wes too much trouble - it made the holiday for us.

    Mark2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Laga Bay cottage is a beautiful and cozy house to stay in the Ardnamurchan, near the best places of the Peninsula. Mairi and Johnny are helpful and careful. We recomend this holiday.

    Massimo2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • A home from home. We were here nearly a week and it seemed too short. Directions and entry with a lockbox were straightforward. The whole place was squeaky clean when we arrived. The bathroom is big and the standalone shower is knockout. Beds are comfy the quiet at night is remarkable. We used the wood burner a couple of nights and it heats the place beautifully- would definitely keep the place toasty in the autumn/winter. The kitchen is well equipped, the hob and oven work great and there was plenty of room in the fridge, freezer and on the counters for storage. We brought groceries with us but you won’t have a problem getting anything you need from the Salen Jetty shop down the road. Being able to walk down to the bay with the dog whenever we wanted was fantastic. We took outings to Sanna, Castle Tioram and Forestry Commission marked walks- all highly recommended. As expected in a rural place, the WiFi doesn’t hold up for long for streaming movies or TV (podcasts and radio was fine) but, in a first for us at an Airbnb, the DVD collection is really good! We managed to get a huge amount of reading done too- the sitting room, porch and lawn are all perfect places for quiet reading. Mairi and Johnny’s communication was great and we were made to feel very welcome. Definitely our favourite holiday Airbnb to date.

  • Have just had the best week ever in Scotland at the beautifully located cottage. We had exceptional weather, blue cloudless skies plus lovely and warm and hardly any midges!!. The cottage is in a great location offering walks right on the doorstep plus access to all the best beaches at Sanna and Singing Sands plus we were also able to get around to the the beatiful beach and dunes at Cul na Croise due to the low tide https://www.wildlochaber.com/ardnamurchan/wildlife/cul-na-croise Would recommend this cottage to anyone!

    Stuart2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place, a very comfortable and well equiped cottage in a fantastic setting with very helpful and thoughtful hosts, would highly recommend a visit.

  • Our second stay in this cosy cottage it's such a great location with stunning views. Finally met Mairi & Jonny such a lovely couple, we really love this area definitely be returnIng.

    Fiona2019-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is comfortable and well equipped in a great location. If you want to lounge around there is a nice sitting area outside where you can enjoy views of the loch below. You might even catch sight of deer passing by. If you enjoy walking up mountains there is one just 50 yards up the road. The cottage is a great base to explore a region which has so much to offer.

We found the bed in the garden view room very comfortable. As we stayed for 3 days the space and storage was tight but absolutely fine one night.

The only improvement would have been if we could have stayed longer. The breakfast the guys offered to us was extensive and sumptuous.... all in all am outstanding experience.

  • Nice house and very great attention of the hosts.

  • WOW! What lovely hosts...never felt so at home in someone else's house...A warm welcome, including cuddles from their dog Whisky! Very clean bedroom, bathroom and towels...Enjoying sitting in the lounge with Tom and Iain...Very nice and big breakfast! They know all the highlights from the surroundings and provided us with tips and information. We decided to stay for another night and went on a daytrip to the Isle of Mull, the ferry is at the end of their street...HIGHLY RECOMMEND everyone to stay at this lovely place!!!

The Bunkhouse is right at the heart of Ardtornish Estate, on the Estate Courtyard close to the Information Centre, and offers a rustic accommodation option for those travelling on a budget.
Unlike our other properties, which generally rent by the week during the high season, the bunkhouse is available to rent by night, by the room or for the whole place.
Ardtornish Estate spreads out around Loch Aline, a huge, wooded, U-shaped bay, a natural haven.
  • Absolutely perfect place, a little difficult to find the way but once found, it is a real little paradise on earth. House and quality equipment, very clean, seemed to recharge and recover in the middle of an unusual landscape, I highly recommend

  • Huge place, huge kitchen, perfect to take a break in the middle of the mountain and nothing. You can relax and listen the nature, the area is beautiful. And the bunkhouse is really good, warm, and useful ! Thanks for everything

  • Awesome rooms. We felt really relaxed at that place far outside. Very big plus: We saw shockingly many stars when we got out of the car. That was a great experience as was the rest of the stay.

  • Please see my review of the bottom bunk, as I booked three bunks at the same time. The rooms were great and there was plenty of room even if you had to share

Craigendarroch 1 is one of our semi-detached stone-built cottages, formerly home to an estate worker in days gone by. Today it offers a tranquil haven beside the River Aline.
Perfect spot for wildlife watching, some of the frequent visitors include, red deer, pine marten and the occasional fox
Part of the charm of staying on the estate is the amount of home-grown, seasonal produce available to purchase with the most minimal of food miles as they are within walking distance. Our Kitchen Garden is a must visit during your stay, using only the finest seasonal ingredients, you could prepare a variety of dishes from light salads and soups to weekend roasts and vegetable hot pots, all using produce grown in the Kitchen Garden by our very own and extremely talented gardener Richard. We have a fantastic selection of beef, lamb, mutton and wild venison. This can be pre-ordered and delivered to your holiday home on the day of your arrival. A meal at the award winning Whitehouse restaurant in Lochaline is highly recommended. We advise that you reserve a table in advance to avoid disappointment.
  • A great wee cottage. warm and comfy, and handy for the ferry to Mull and its transport links. Danielle was an friendly, attentive and professional host who helped us with all our enquiries. We'll be back!

Stunning Lochside cottage that can sleep 5 guests.
Magnificent all-round views across Loch Aline and a delightful terrace opening out from the French windows make summer evenings in The Boat House a joy. A traditional stone and slate building, airy in summer and cosy in winter, the Boat House was converted some years ago and is centered on a light but snug split level dining/sitting room

  • Wonderful location which we had chosen as it was right on the water: our 6 yo could walk right from the front door into the loch for lots of fun paddling, beachcombing etc. at both low and high tide. Also beautifully isolated from other properties on the estate. Ardtornish is really well situated for exploring Morvern and Mull and the estate office staff provided great information about suitable walks and excursions. The house is cosy and well-equipped but maybe now in need of a bit of a refresh, given the relatively high price. For us, however, the value was very much in the setting.

This is a newly renovated shore side cottage at Laga Bay looking onto Loch Sunart from south facing windows. The house is fully modernised with 3 bedrooms , a shower room , bathroom , 2 sitting rooms and kitchen . Electricity is from farm hydro power and there are 2 wood stoves and a supply of wood. It is well located to explore Ardnamurchan peninsula and for wildlife including red and roe deer , otters , eagles and pine martin. For more information our website west of the rat race describes .
The farm house was completely renovated over the last few years , finished in spring 2019 to create a modern , warm house immediately by the sea. There is ample space with two sitting areas, one a cozy room where the tv and dvd with large selection of films is located and a bigger bright room with a wooden floor . The views from all windows are spectacular and you can just sit looking out to sea or up to the mountain behind. Both lounges have wood fuelled stoves and a supply of fuel. The 3 bedrooms are freshly decorated and modern and the kitchen is new and well equipped with oven, hob, dish washer , full size freezer , fridge and microwave. The house is ideal for 2 couples to share but yet have own separate space . It is also good for a family holiday for either young children or teenagers. Whilst the house is listed as three double beds , the king size can be split into two singles and the small double bed could accommodate two but ideally suited to just one person as the room is smaller. The property can accommodate 6 , but it is better suited to 5 for the most relaxing time as one of the bedrooms is fairly small and has a small double bed. The other two are large and well suited to two people .
This is a very rural location, some 40 miles from Fort William on the Ardnamurchan peninsula . It is good location to explore the area as well as easy access to Tobermory on the Kilchoan ferry link. The main attractions of Laga Bay are getting away from it all, walking , watching wildlife . It is an ideal location for kayaking and easy to launch from just in front of the house. There is safe storage for kayaks inside the farm buildings . The area has beautiful beaches , walks in oak and mixed broadleaved woodland , open hill and lochs . There are several cafes , pubs and excellent restaurants in adjacent communities, the nearest being 4 miles away at Salen.
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Laga Farm. Mairi and Johnny are great hosts and give you lots of advice and tips on local on things around the house. The house is very warm and beautiful. There are lots of kitchen utensils that enable you to cook fantastic meals. Extremely beautiful scenery - so close to the sea! Thank you so much for having us

  • A wonderful farmhouse property in a perfect lochside setting, offering a combination of real cosiness with modern touches. Despite being away from the area during our visit, the hosts were attentive, checking in with us part-way through our stay to make sure everything was OK. We are already planning our next visit...

  • This is a truly special place. Mairi and Johnny are great hosts, and the house is very clean, comfortable, cosy and warm. The location is just perfect - an ideal base for exploring beautiful Ardnamurchan, but also a lovely place to sit and relax in. We loved looking at the beautiful views over the loch, and sitting watching the weather from the light, large sitting room, feeling totally immersed in the landscape. The location is off the beaten track, the house is peaceful and secluded but easy to find, and we thoroughly enjoyed getting away from it all. The house is newly renovated and well decorated, and is very well equipped with everything you need - and more. We really enjoyed the woodburners which kept the place extra cosy. There is plenty of hot water, and a powerful shower too. We had a fabulous, relaxing holiday and just wish we could have stayed longer. We can't wait to return!

  • Laga Farm is a newly renovated farmhouse, located in a beautiful setting, right on the water. An ideal place to find peace and really good off. From Glenborrodale / Laga you can reach many beautiful places well, it is a good starting point for fantastic walks and activities on / in the water. Seals can be watched from the armchair. The peninsula Ardnamurchan is beautiful and not crowded, but very diverse. The tourist offer is rather manageable, but absolutely sufficient - this is the charm of the area. Purchases for daily needs are well possible in small shops in Salen or Acharacle, a larger supermarket does not exist - but this does not bother. A car is recommended. The house has been lovingly renovated and modernized. One learns a bit of the history of the house through old photographs and partly antique furniture. The house "lives" and you feel very well. Everything was still updated, the two bathrooms are perfect, heating and 2 stoves are available, the beds are comfortable and there are 3 bedrooms. Also the WiFi works perfectly. The kitchen is functionally equipped and outside it is just as nice as it can be seen in the photos. A small area is fenced, so that even small children can play safely despite the proximity to the water. Overall, we spent wonderful days here and can honestly highly recommend the house. Mairi and Johnny are perfect hosts, thank you again!

    Claus2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our week at Laga Farm was one of our best family holidays ever. All 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children 8 and 10yrs plus our two dogs) had a blissful time. The house is spotlessly clean, spacious, very comfortable and totally private. The kitchen has everything you might need to cook proper meals and outside there is a fire pit for evening bbq’s. A few steps beyond the house is a stunning rocky beach. In the whole we one cyclist and a couple of walkers passed the house so it really is the place to come if you want to get away from it all! The beds are wonderful and we all slept better than we can remember on any other holiday. The main sitting room is the most idyllic room with picture postcard views over the loch. We spent much time in there as a family enjoying games of chess and cards and just being together. I didn’t want the week to end and already we are planning our next visit to Laga Farm! Thank you Johnny and Mairi for an excellent holiday!

  • This was a great find. It was a comfortable space with good ensuite facilities. Reception helped with all enquiries. There was sufficient bedding for the colder nights. All we needed for 3 nights of camping was provided. The tent and campsite were clean and tidy The views from the tent were just amazing. We had a great stay.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay- short walk from the ferry, clean and comfortable, with outstanding views.

  • This is a charming and delightful tent-glamour vacation. Outstanding and very close to everything.

    Magda2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • A great base to explore Mull- very convenient for the ferry at Craignure, beautiful coastal walks from the campsite. We stayed over the Easter weekend and the tent was pretty cosy even without the fire on. We were able to check in a bit early as the tent was ready before the anticipated time which was great. We would recommend earplugs if you want to sleep in, in case of the ferry fog-horn and general camp noises. We didn't come with any camping kit so we had to eat out if we wanted hot food, but if you bring a pan/plates etc there are gas stoves you can cook on.

  • loved the location of the estate in ardtornish. thought the bunk house studio was great for a couple. even though the adjoining bunk house was occupied by working men, it wasn't noisy. thought our rooms were really cosy. the fact it was located by the estate office and shop was great. good to talk to staff about their work. only downside was we didn't book for longer, and the WiFi was pretty poor. apart from that it was a great stay.

    Graham2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay and we thought the studio was better than advertised- we’ve stayed in expensive cottages with less facilities. I’m sure we will be returning at some point in the future so we can see more of the beautiful estate. Tarbet Lodge is set back from the road in very quiet and peaceful surroundings where you often see wildlife including deer, otter, eagles and many other species of birds and marine life. There is a lot to offer on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula and the Lodge is a great base from which you can explore the area. You can go walking, kayaking, cycling, fishing, or just sightseeing. Ardnamurchan lighthouse is the most westerly point of the UK mainland and there are many secluded beaches to enjoy.
Tarbet Lodge offers an open plan kitchen diner/lounge area looking out over Loch Sunart. There is a decked sun porch where you can happily sit in all weather and watch the world go by. Ample parking on a gravel drive and garden space to relax.
200 yards away you will find the Salen Jetty shop which has a good selection of food, drink and household items. There is also a grocery shop in Acharacle and one in Strontian. Within a ten mile radius there are excellent restaurants selling locally produced food. Ancient castles such as Castle Tioram are within easy driving distance. The Ariundle Oakwoods and lead mines are in nearby Strontian. For climbers and hill walkers there are hills ranging from easy walks to challenging mountains. For sea anglers the nearby Salen Marina has launching facilities for those wishing to bring their own boat. The area is famous for its kayaking and sea canoeing where marine life is abundant. It is also a favourite area for divers as the area is a marine protected zone, complete with kelp forests and great clarity of water. Nearby Glenfinnan is a must for all Harry Potter fans wishing to see both the viaduct and the Harry Potter steam train, the Jacobite Steam Train journey from Fort William to Mallaig is a great experience, even if you don't like Harry Potter it is a scenic must. Tobermory, known to children as Ballymory, is just a short ferry journey away and is famous for both its multicoloured houses and its seafood restaurants, it is also a base for whale watching tours. There is the Tobermory distillery to visit and there is also the Ardnamurchan distillery back on the Peninsula ten minutes drive from Tarbet Lodge. Also worth a visit is the Natural History Centre, near the Ardnamurchan distillery, which has an excellent coffee shop and gift shop as well as a display of local information which is free entry. Dark night skies for star gazing and stunning sunsets make this area special.
  • This is an absolute gem of a place. Great location for walking, kayaking, fishing, and a bar/restaurant in walking distance. We would recommend here for anyone who wants to visit and explore the area.

We supply everything you need to enjoy your week, just bring food and maybe a bottle or 2. Everyone is welcome.
  • Angela's Place was awesome, perfect for what we needed for a short weekend Break. The communication ahead, during and after our trip was great. It made everything really easy. We are likely to head back to explore the area more.

  • Enjoyed a fantastic New Year at The Tower. Despite leaving it to the last minute to book, we received swift and detailed replies from Angela that allowed us to make the trip down on Hogmanay. The accommodation was a high standard, but still felt very homely. It was also very warm which was appreciated at this time of year. Great location for bringing the dog. Watched the fireworks over the loch from the rooftop balcony, then returned indoors to the fireside. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2019.

  • Very nice and well thought out tents! We had enough warm sleep with the duvets and plaids provided (summer temperatures can be cool). Beds more comfortable than I expected (very comfortable beds). Sanitary clean. Nice view and close to the ferry to Oban!

    Margaux2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place, easy access by ferry, and "city center" but no food after 7 pm ... very clean, sanitary included, quiet, spacious, possibly missing a small auxiliary heating ...

    Corinne2019-08-12T00:00:00Z

    Julie2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely camping. The location is great, in Craignure with outstanding view. We stayed one night in a tent. Very comfortable. Commons area were clean. Kitchenette available (but without kitchen ustensils). Very friendly staff. We had a great time, I would totally recommend it !

    Alexandre2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place does what is says. Very basic but great if that's all you need.

    Eian2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Hosts were very helpful, great location for the Ferry , everything we needed .

    Miriam2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Much better facilities than anticipated - that the tent would have a cast iron stove with coal fire completely passed us by so that was a lovely surprise - particularly given the weather. We only stayed one night but found we had everything we needed. Would certainly happily return. Very professionally organised campsite. Check in was brilliant. Directions straight forward - you can see the camp site from the ferry en route from Oban. Great views.

    Charlotte2019-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • The campsite was amazing. The views were spectacular and they just had such a great space for car campers and tent goers. Really a great place to stay while on Mull

  • Ella’s place is in the most amazing location, she is a very thoughtful host and had even left us out extra supplies for our one year old such as a baby towel and bathroom stuff as well as having a high chair for breakfast. Breakfast in general was amazing, so much good food we didn’t need to eat for days!

Lochaline is a small close knit friendly highland village where everyone knows everyone. I have lived here for 42 years with my partner Rob. I with my daughter own and run the local store and post office. We are all retained firefighters and the apartment is sited on the old firestation ground.
  • This is a beautifully done flat in a great spot. Perfect as a comfortable base from which to explore Mull and the Morvern area.

  • Plenty to do eating out ferry crossings to mull and Tobermory right on your door step.

    Catherine2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice, modern apartment in a beautiful village. The local shop/post office is very close, and the village also has a pub which serves food and a very nice restaurant, The Whitehouse, which is a fantastic experience! We explored the local area and there are nice walks along the coast or around the loch (the ruin of Ardtornish Castle is worth a visit, but mind the nettles!) by quiet roads and well-maintained walking trails. There is also easy access to the Isle of Mull by ferry - with or without a car (on the island the bus between Craignure and Tobermory stops at the ferry terminal).

  • The church is a nice and cosey place to stay, as a hub to Mull or discover the beautiful surroundings of Movern. India and her friend are friendly and caring hosts. Thank you for the tip to go to the local café, great food and interresting people! ;)

    Haley2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • This stay is truly off the beaten path but accessible by ferry easily...if you make a reservation. Wonderful views through the mountains if you decide to drive to it. Very clean and breakfast was a nice touch!

    Hannah2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was fine, the journey there was the most beautiful part of Scotland.

    Yvonne2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • India was a great host and was available if needed. She had great insight about the local eateries and also had a light, healthy breakfast available both mornings we stayed. Yogurt, rolls, cereal, juice, etc. I especially enjoyed the giant skylight in the double twin bedroom where I stayed. The sound of the rain hitting it at night was just what I needed to fall asleep in an already cozy room and home.

    Genevieve2019-07-19T00:00:00Z

  • A wonderful place to stay. Perfect for a group of friends. Amazing location, incredibly clean, everything you'd need, very cosy and a balcony too!

    Flora2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Laga Lodge. The view over the loch is amazing and the balcony the perfect place to enjoy a coffee and let your eyes wander over the landscape. The lodge itself was cozy and had everything you need. Ardnamurchan was very beautiful and a good starting point for a daytrip to the Isle of Mull. The Ardnamurchan Distillery is definitely worth a visit, too and not very far from the accomodation.

    Katharina2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Second time we've stayed at Laga Lodge, and I'm sure we'll be back again - which says it all!

    Harriet2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Allison. The apartment is very big with a great view of the loch sunart. It is well equipped, very clean and Allison is very welcoming. Renting a boat that you can drive yourself on the loch, skirting the seal families is an experience you'll never forget! Ardnamurchan is a magical and wild peninsula, there is a herd of deer, Sanna beach is a must.

    Caroline2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • House lost in the depths of Scotland, overlooking the sea and mountain, change of scenery and calm assured. I recommend for nature lovers.

    Julien2019-08-10T00:00:00Z

Craigendarroch 2 is the mirror image of Craigendarroch 1 and is the other half to this semi-detached, stone-built cottage. It too shares a tranquil position beside the quietly flowing River Aline
  • A beautiful, peaceful location with stunning scenery & wildlife. The cottage was traditional, but very cosy. Regular visits from the resident pinemarten were a highlight. A great base for exploring the local area. Friendly check in & help on hand if needed but otherwise we were left to enjoy the tranquility .

  • The campsite was extremely easy to get to but felt secluded from the nearby port. With beautiful views looking out over the sea you can watch the ferries and wildlife. The Sheiling tents had everything you could need and more. We were very tempted to stay longer.

    Elin2019-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great find! Brilliant location from the ferry and for touring the island. Tents were very spacious and clean. Power sockets and cooking facilities in your tent. The shower block was clean and the view was lovely from the camp ground. Games room could have been open a bit later but over all a great stay.

  • India gave us a lot of usefull advice the days before our stay and she was understanding and flexible when our arrival turned out to be later in the evening than expected. Lochaline is a beautiful area. India and Jamies house (a former church) is very charming. The room is bright and clean. We had a short but fine stay in Lochaline. It's very near the ferry to Fishnish, so it's a perpect stop before going to Mull.
