Paula and her family are incredibly sweet, and she even picked me up from the bus station when I arrived. The cabin is very conveniently located - 15 minute walk from the center of town in Nelson, and super close to the bus stops for Picton and Abel Tasman. It is clear Paula and her family have put a lot of heart into this quaint cabin - it's very spacious, has a kitchen with everything you could possibly need, a really comfy bed, and a decadent shower (very nice to come home to that after a long hike at Abel Tasman, too!). Paula also has maps and pamphlets to help orient you to Nelson and all the surrounding activities. WiFi was a bit spotty at times, though functional for my needs, and I didn't mind that so much because I was mostly aiming to unplug whenever possible during my stay. Paula and her family were excellent hosts with lots of travel experience and an appreciation for a global culture (they've lived abroad and traveled extensively). Their cabin provided a very comfortable place to call home for a couple nights, and I would definitely stay here again anytime I'm back in Nelson. Thank you, Paula!

I had a lovely stay at Thomas' house. The house was spacious and had all the facilities needed for a pleasant stay. Totally within walking distance of town. There were other guests there as well and it was really nice to meet them and learn about their lives and where they came from. I would recommend Thomas' place to anyone - he's a great host!

A continental breakfast is included and she'll even prepare lunch and dinner for you too. Take her up on it! Great prices and incredible food. Of course! She runs a catering business! Staying with Jon and his partner was very easy and convenient. It WAS a 5 min walk to the centre and they were both so helpful with anything we needed from the moment we arrived. But weren't forceful either! A few of the amazing recommendations were: Nicolas cantina for Mexican meal, fish and chip shop (that sold blue cod!!!) and the helpfulness of the water taxi for the Abel Tasman walk. We would have loved to stay here for a week! But due to our travels couldn't! Highly recommend this Airbnb! Thank you to Jon!

The location of the house is great - just a few minutes walk into Nelson. The bedroom and private bathroom are as described - roomy and very clean. We stayed on Valentine's night and found chocolates on our pillows! A lovely touch! We were offered an evening meal and breakfast, but we chose to eat out. Highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Nelson.

Not only did he respond but he came to pick me up (and gave me a lift to the bus station the following morning). Jon and Sarah were very welcoming and full of interesting information. Our stay at Daniel's has been very nice. The room is comfortable and the house is cozy and modern, very well equipated (we loved having bidet!!). Ankie2016-11-07T00:00:00ZSergey and Jephany have a wonderful home suited to airbnb guests. It is located a short 10 min walk from the Nelson city centre in a quiet neighbourhood with a nearby park. While I did not meet them in person as they were away on holidays themselves, their friend Sarah, who acted as host was very welcoming and there was ample instructions and labels on rooms, doors and handles (if you stay there you will understand exactly what I mean). They were very accommodating to my specific requirements (late-ish check in and a study desk in my room) and prepared accordingly. There have a very spacious living room with couches and a toasty gas fireplace, while my room (master bedroom) was well furnished with a study desk, walk-in-wardrobe, comfy king bed and an on-timer electric wall heater so I never felt cold. The kitchen and bathroom were also well-equipped. I would definitely recommend their home for any airbnb visitors.

This place is a little bit old-fashioned and could use a few renos, but extremely comfortable and super cute! This is a wonderful space indoors and out in a prime location and Emma has done a great job! The large windows look out into the hillside and let in great light but may be completely blacked out with curtains. It gets the morning AND evening sun! It's warm, super quiet, the bed was very comfortable and the mini kitchen is great! It's about a 12 minute walk to the town centre and the hill is barely a thing at all! Highly recommend!

Christine left us with some lovely breakfast supplies, the homemade marmalade was delicious. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our holiday. The outside area was lovely to sit in and enjoy the afternoon sun. We will definitely book the cottage again.

There were lots of thoughtful extras like cereal, bread, butter and spreads for breakfast. Christine was really helpful in looking after some stuff for us while we were on the track. It was excellent.

This place is immaculate, pristine and is kitted out to a very high specification. The location was also perfect, being quiet and secluded but near enough to the city and other, more local, amenities (pub and takeaway were just a few minutes walk - what a great concept to order the food and have it delivered next door to the pub - we loved our evening there!). Although Cole was not around during our stay his responses were always swift and friendly. We would highly recommend staying in Cole's fabulous home if you are a couple or a single traveler wanting to stay in the Nelson area.
