You will have privacy on your own separate level (the ground level/basement) of the house. The space is very quiet at night. It may be possible that you would hear some typical family noise during dinner time. We have 1 child. The space includes a sink, a countertop, a microwave, a toaster, an electric kettle,, a hairdryer and small refrigerator. We also provide linens, sheets, and essentials (shampoo and soap). And we provide plates, cups, silverware etc. We can comfortably accomodate up to 3 guests. Please note that all the 3 beds are located in the same room. You could squeeze up to 5 guests into our place if you don't mind being a bit crowded. The private garden area is always available to lounge in or to eat outdoors. Our home was built in the late 1930"s at the end of the art deco era. We particulary admire American design from this time period so we have some vintage furniture from the 1930's in the apartment New York NY Manhattan
Our neighborhood, within NYC, is called Astoria. Astoria is a hidden gem in the New York NY metropolitan area. We are located in a serene and very SAFE neighborhood. It is a wonderful and interesting neighborhood....... Astoria is very close to midtown Manhattan and so it is an ideal location in which to base yourself and to enjoy and explore NYC. This is especially true for our house because we are so close to a major subway stop and subway line. Astoria is known as a "Greek" community (people from Greece live here). Our area of Astoria is a vibrant mix of greeks, italians, "hipsters", midsters, oldsters, brazilians, yuppies, japanese, chinese, and just about everyone else in the world is represented. It is fun and interesting to be mixed into the multi-cultural atmosphere. Astoria has a unique small town atmosphere but located very close to Manhattan. Astoria is loaded with restaurants, bars, clubs, and shopping galore. Just about anything that you would want to buy you can find it here. Marshalls and many other discount retailers are very close to our house. Our neighborhood is considered to be one of the most "up and coming" and popular neighborhoods in NYC.. People often describe Astoria as the east part of Midtown or the east side of the east side of Manhattan. Astoria is a much sought after neighborhood. It is easy and fun to walk around Astoria and soak in the many different subcultures of people groups within Astoria. You will find authentic and inexpensive restaurants from literally all over the world. There are coffee shops, pubs, bars, clubs and parks galore. It's fun here. New York Ny

Hi Potential Guest! Our room is in extreme demand as it is near Manhattan + LaGuardia. In the beautiful neighborhood of Astoria. This is a cozy, high-end decorations and finishing. • The house is nice and it is located in a location you can access other parts of New York

  • We entered the door with a code, and easily found our room. The place is very cozy and nice. The mac computer is an awesome addition! We were able to make travel plans, and watch Netflix on it. The shower is very nice, and the bed was very comfortable. One small issue was cleanliness. My girlfriend noticed some small things like hair in the bathroom. I'm not really sure, I didn't notice. Overall, pleased with the experience -- got to experience new york like a local!

  • I stayed at Rocio & Jimmy's place for one night as my flight home from LGA was at 1PM the next day. The two of them are very courteous and their place and the room is very clean. The room has everything you need: a big screen Mac with internet, various media options, air conditioner, mini fridge and a safe. They also provided complimentary bottled water and fresh towels. Entry and exit to their home is done via keypad so it is very convenient getting in and out. Their place is a few blocks from the subway, but it is walkable and it is also a very reasonable distance to restaurants and stores. I hailed an Uber to LGA the next day which came out to $12, which I thought was pretty cheap, though a bus is also available from what I could see. I did not see them at all other than when I arrived, but everything I needed was already provided. I would definitely stay here again for a short layover.

  • This was my first experience with airbnb and I couldn't have been more satisfied. Jimmy and Rocio were extremely friendly and kind during my brief stay. I had a great time conversing with them. The bedroom was very clean and had everything I needed, including a nice blow dryer! The bed and pillows were incredibly soft and comfortable so I slept like a baby. Jimmy and Rocio are clearly experienced hosts because they have all the logistics organized. The location was very convenient to the subway. It was a short 10 min walk to the subway and then another 20-30 mins on the subway to get to Times Square or the Rockefeller center. The surrounding neighborhood felt very safe, even late at night. Also being relatively close to LaGuardia was another bonus. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a good deal in a great location with fantastic hosts!

  • Rocio and Jame’s where lovely host! I ran into James as I was coming in and he welcomed me and showed me around! Super helpful especially since he was on his way out! Very convenient to the LGA airport!

    Candice2017-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Is it a nice place, 10 minutes walking from the nearest subway station, Rocio & James are always answering, and helping.

    Diego2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Rocio and Jimmy were very friendly and nice. They made us feel so welcomed and gave us useful tips and suggestions. The room is clean, cute and the bed is super comfy. The bathroom entrance is just right across from the guest bedroom so you would have the privacy you need. There are also many great restaurants on 30th street (2 blocks away). The subway stations is about 15-20 minute away, this walk was enjoyable in the morning but at the end of the day after a long day walking around Manhattan, you might find it a bit tiring. The neighborhood is safe, we did not have problem walking back from the subway station at 1AM. If I come back to NYC, I will want to stay with Rocio and Jimmy again.

  • Gladys and Bob were absolute PERFECT hosts! We were so impressed with their apartment, the pictures do not do it justice! Everything was as described, and Gladys was so much help from the beginning of the trip to the very end! 10/10

    Gabrielle2015-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We went to the US Open during our trip so Gladys and Bob made sure to have the US Open on the tv as soon as we arrived. They were very helpful in letting us know how to get to the Open and would even have the AC on when we would get back late from the games. They were very generous as well and left us milk, blueberries, cookies, chocolate and cashews. We really enjoyed our stay as it was our first time trying Airbnb and really liked the area as well. We would stay here again!

    Ellen2015-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • I contacted Bob and Glad because my sister and daughter were visiting NYC for 2 days. Bob and Glad were great hosts. They were very prompt in getting back to me, the apartment was great and the location is great as well. My sister and daughter loved their apartment and would love to stay there again. Thank you Bob and Glad! Bob Ledner

  • It was quite pleasant to be hosted by Bob and Glayds. They are very nice people, hospitables, giving tips and good informations. The house is comfortable e near the subway station what made our time there easy and practcal. Vivaldo and Marcellus.

  • We had a great time with glady and bob's place. For our first airbnb experience we were lucky to have such wonderful hosts. Glady and bob were very accommodating and really went over and above to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The apartment was roomy and in great condition. After staying in Manhattan before this stay, we enjoyed staying in Astoria, there is such a mix of cultures in the area and it feels like you are staying in a real neighbourhood. We also got some of the best coffee during our NYC trip from a local cafe 'kickshaw'. We would recommend glady and bob's place to our friends.

    Shaun2014-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • very good!

    Shuhang2016-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I met both Gladys and Bob and they were both very kind, and offered to help out with anything I needed. Gladys was kind enough to bring us a few staple food items (and a few treats!) on our first night there which was exceptionally thoughtful! The area is safe and quiet, and the home is very spacious. Everything was just as listed. It was very clean, and all essentials (including clean white towels) were provided. The beds were very comfortable, with one being slightly firmer and the other being slightly softer so that all preferences can be accommodated. The subway is close by, and it is an easy trip anywhere you need to go. There are also lots of cute shops and restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again!

    Kristin2016-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was fantastic, a true home away from home. Glays ad Rob were amazing so helpful and friendly. They left us water and breakfast, coffee all the things to get you moving in the morning. We were so grateful. We were very busy seeing all the New york sites therefore it was so good to have a quiet place to come home to. The subway was so close to the apartment and only took 10 mins to get into the city. We loved exploring Queens also , there is so much within walking distance. This was an amazing honeymoon for us and was just the best having the apartment to relax in rather than a soluless hotel (with no room to move)!

  • I was looking for a place to stay last minute for my birthday/Pride weekend and luckily, I had came across Vincent's place. Immediately, I fell in love and booked the place. When getting there, the place is exactly like the pictures. It was very nice, comfy, cozy and felt like home. Vincent was so genuine, kind and very responsive. I thank him for letting me into such an incredible place in a terrific location and also for surprising me with a wonderful birthday present he was kind enough to get me! Will surely recommend to place and certainly plan to stay here again.

    Kevin2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Vincent was a wonderful host. My flight was delayed coming from Atl and he let me check in late. Showed me where everything was where I can be even more comfortable. When he didn’t hear from me after a couple of days he checked in just to make sure everything was great. The place was very clean and beautiful. The neighbors are very quiet as well. There are multiple places to eat, 24hr diner at the end of the street is a big plus!

    Carlos2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Vincent's place is the ideal AirBnb if you're on a budget but still want your own privacy. It's a studio apartment but almost a 1 bedroom since it has a division for the sleeping area- bed was comfortable! HUGE closet and storage space, which we didn't really get to use but great for guests who require a longer stay. Kitchen and bathroom are clean, the only thing we had a bit of a concern ( super minor though) was the hot/cold water. It took a while to switch from either temperature had to wait more than a minute to get to the comfortable temperature so just be mindful of that when you shower. Other than that, it's on a second floor walk up. The area is safe, two blocks from the 7 train, 1 block from the bus stop. Vincent was so quick to response with every question I had, easy communication from the time we have confirmed the trip up to check out. I'd definitely recommend Vincent's place to any one.

This is a bedroom separated with CURTAINS in the living room that’s why the cheap price, curtains give you certain amount of privacy and it is comfortable to sleep but of course you will be able to here people outside, walking sometimes or cooking. I would recommend this area for people that want to see New York, spend a little time in the bedroom and save a lot of money in accommodation, everything in New York is very expensive especially for place to stay.
The space is on the living room, is a bedroom just separated with curtains for one person, you have a bed, a table aside of the bed and a lamp also you can share the apartment with up to 3-6 people depending how many are staying
You have restaurants and supermarkets around. The train is just in front of the apartament, It is a very convenient area. It takes you to manhattan in 15 minutes.
  • it's very cheap and also very small. I could barely put my luggage in. but the bed is comfortable and the shower is great. less than a block away from the subway. need to clean the front stairs. they smell bad. easy communication with host.

    Guilherme2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • I've been in this house for 13 days and I can say that Daniel was a very good host and the house was super clean and quite, and everthing was working properly. Although the house is very close to the line 7 of thw subway and you can reach time square in 20 minute. Bed very comfy, and even if there is a courtain between you and the kitchen you still have a lot of privacy. Nice area with a lot of shops.

    Luca2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Be aware this is not a private room, I don’t fully read and was surprised. Bed was comfortable, train not too loud.

    Daniel2018-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay at Blanca and Daniel's place. The building is in a central location, right next to eateries, stores and subway station. Though the bed was in the living room, it was quiet and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and always available. This is definitely a great place for a short budget stay in New York City.

  • A great place to stay in New York City! Recommended! ;- )

    Gregg2018-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The rook was exactly as advertised. Even though it's just a curtained off portion of the home, I felt I had enough privacy. The space had a bed, small table, lamp, and a fan. The fan was a nice touch, since the curtains could have blocked air flow. Blanca and Daniel were excellent with communication. They responded to my messages promptly and the instructions for getting my key were super clear. They even sent pictures so I would know what to look for. The location was amazing, just beside a Metro line. It took maybe 30 minutes to get into the city, even during morning rush. If you're just in town for a short stay and need to be able to get around, this is a good deal.

Going to Steinway street you cannot miss a thing. The listing is inside a 1960s mother-daughter family building. The unit used to be connected to the rest of the apartment on the ground floor (where I live), but for your privacy and convinience it has been cut out, providing you with a private entrance, private full bathroom and a private stylish space with all of your necessities. The construction of all family buildings in NYC at the time it was built, was relatively light, resulting to one of the not so best sound proof walls. We are currently trying to improve the sound insolation with the addition of further insolation material between the Airbnb studio and the apartment next door. So we please ask our guests to try and keep the noise down, especially after 11pm as I, the one living next door do so. Noted that this did not affect the enchanted look of the studio, it still looks as the pictures on the website.
Welcome to New York City. A cozy and quiet middle-class neighborhood. Never hear of sirens or trains. I can ensure you, that you will never feel safer than walking around this ethnically diverse neighborhood (no matter the time). New Yorkers here are always welcoming and eager to help no matter the circumstances. Astoria is a lively, safe neighborhood filled with people from all over the world. In fact National Geographic featured Astoria for its diversity in " THE HUMAN FAMILY TREE". You can expect a safe and secure stay in this conveniently located apartment. The apartment really reflects the neighborhood as one of NYC's hidden gems. The neighborhood consists of transplants from every where in the world the majority of which are studying and working in film & dance. This might be because of the three major film studios and the Museum of Moving Image located in Astoria. We are in one of the most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in the world with people mostly from Greece, Italy, the Balkan's, Brazil, Colombia, Japan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Mexico. They all have opened their own authentic restaurants in the neighborhood. Steinway street is a major shopping district with national stores such as STARBUCKS, VICTORIA SECRETS, GAP, GAP KIDS, KINKOS and many others which reside between Broadway and 30th Avenue. In few minutes you can be in Times Square or on Madison/Fifth Avenues window shopping, checking out New York's world famous museums or taking a walk in Central Park, going to the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center or seeing a Broadway show or just wandering the streets of Manhattan. We have everything you look for in a great neighborhood.
  • Fantastic location, easy to reach manhatten and a nice safe area to stay. Great bagel shop nearby! Perfect for a couple or single person. Would visit again!

  • Wonderful experience...quick sub ride into the city...Toni is a great host...very reliable and responsive...would love to stay again!!

    Candace2017-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean place! Everything was like promised. Also we never met Toni we felt very welcome and had a great stay. That there is no kitchen in the apartment wasn't a problem at all. We got ourselves some stuff for sandwiches from a supermarket for the mornings or stoped by at this cute coffee shop, just a couple of minutes away, on our way to the train! I was totally impressed with how tidy and clean everything was! I felt comfortable from the first second I entered the room. Great place to stay even it is in Queens and not Downtown. The train connection is really good and in less than 30min you are in Manhattan.

    Lena-Marie2018-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying here! Toni was really nice and helpful. Very easy to get ahold of. The place looks just like it does in the photos: bright, modern and comfy. It's about a 10 minute walk to the train and there's a place to get pizza at the end of the block (very important to any new york adventure). Fast internet, quiet neighbors. Recommended!

  • Toni is a Living Legend, very helpful and the place is spanking new, fresh and clean. getting to the city is pretty easy and i would definitely recommend staying at Toni's. ps. Shower room ROCKS.

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Astoria! It was not our first time to visit the city so we knew we didn't want to stay in a cramped hotel room in the middle of the noise and bustle for an extortionate price! Toni's place was perfect for us. We went into the city each day, and the commute was fine. 13 minutes to the subway and we would pick up breakfast en route, then a 15 minute subway ride to all the main stops such as 5th Ave, times sq, union sq, canal st etc. It was very clean and fresh. Bed is so comfortable and the shower was super strong and always hot. Main selling point also was the simcard Toni provided with unlimited 4g for foreign visitors. It made getting around nyc very simple and meeting out friends a breeze. There can be some noise from the upstairs apartment from people walking around but only during day time hours. 100% would recommend this place if you didn't mind the commute into the city!

    Roisin2017-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It's close to the city (20mn with the subway). Everything is close to this place (shops to do errands, restaurants...). The appartement is small but nice for 2 people. It's cute and I felt like at home ! Very nice place. If someone ask me about a place to stay for 2 people I will recommand that one !

  • Toni was their to let me in and was gracious and welcoming. He had good local knowledge and was always available. He could not have been more accommodating. I would have no problem recommending his pad to anyone.

A beautiful cozy room in the new 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with balcony. It is also very convenient, which close to Manhattan. And it just takes 15 minutes to Laguardia airport. Also there are a lot of good restaurants and 24 hours supermarkets. This area is very quietly and safety.

  • Host Kaka was very accommodating giving the fact our booking was very last minute. We were able to check in early. Cleanliness was outstanding, location was perfect with 7-10min walk to the train station going to manhattan (direct line to Manhattan). Overall very pleasant experience. Room was well heated therefore again very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend.

  • Good host and 15 Min from manhattan

    Joseph2018-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy and clean apartment The host is very nice and responsive at all times. Close to Manhattan (7 line subway). Great value ! I will return .

  • We had a very good experience.

  • Kaka's place is very modern and clean. The neighborhood is absolutely safe with great access to the center of Manhattan (just 15-20 minutes by subway 7) Kaka is a great host - she was very nice to us all the time and the communication was always prompt and effective.

    Róbert2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at Kaka's place when visiting in NY for a week. It is very nice place and just as described. Really appreciate that she let us leave our luggage in the apartment as we arrived early in the morning, so we could wonder around the city and then come back for check in time. The subway is 5min walk away and easy to get to Manhattan, which allowed us to do a lot of exploring. We'd stay here again!

    Dasha2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Can't go wrong with this place! It's amazing. The entire place is clean and has lovely decorative touches everywhere. The bathroom is simple but also so indulgent at the same time. I loved the atmosphere of the neighborhood, too. It's near so many food spots and little miscellaneous stores. My favorite part: the light up curtain!!! It's a very small touch, but wow that put the icing on the cake for this getaway. Thanks so much, Kaka! You're the best!

  • Chris’ place is close to La Guardia airport and close to public transportation. Besides being incredibly convenient, Chris’ place was clean, artsy, and stylish. He was an excellent host - going above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay in NYC. We would definitely recommend his AirBNB in the future.

    Tiara2018-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is clean, homey, and only a brief walk away from a subway station. Chris was accommodating and helpful, and overall, made our trip all the better.

    Philip2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent pad within walking distance to a very well connected subway station whisking you into the heart of Manhattan in no time at all. Chris was very accommodating of our early check in request and when we asked for more bedding. The design of the room was lovely, with some art works on the walls and we appreciated the private entrance and small kitchen area. Would definitely consider staying there again - excellent value for money!

    David2018-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amazingly serene spartan space - I’d easily recommend

    Marc2018-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • A really worthy and awesome place to stay! The studio is very clean and well organized, with one bed, one sofa bed and an air mattress available(easy to accommodate 2people or even 3). The location is OK, 2miles away from LGA, and about 15minutes walk to the subway station. Chris is a very helpful and communicative host, he drove me and my friend to the station when we left. The only problem is that the WiFi signal was kinda weak in the studio.

    Tianren2017-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Place is in art and the host is the best.

Room for rent in a three bedroom apt in the heart of Astoria. The room features a queen size bed, a desk, and own lock on the door for secure privacy. Located in very cool, hip and safe Astoria neighborhood. Located only 15 mins from Midtown NYC .
Guests have access to their room which features a queen size bed, full size futon, big windows for plenty of sunlight, a closet, a dresser and a desk and chair. In the summer months there is also an air conditioner on the window and I always provide a mirror.
Astoria/Long Island City is one of the safest neighborhoods in New York CIty. The house is conveniently located close to 24 hr supermarket, shops, cafes, bars and a five minute walk to Dillingers pub or Max German Restaurant. As well if you want to experience hip trendy Astoria take a stroll down 30th Ave, from 48th Street to 25 the Street for a lot of cool restaurants, shops and cafes. Check out Astoria Park and its view of New York City : )
  • We stayed in Neo's house for a week and we loved it. We were three, so he put an extra bed in our bedroom as we asked. The house is exactly like you see in the photos. It is a very safe neighborhood and everybody was very friendly. We never met Neo personaly, but he replied to our messages and was very helpful. If we travel to NY we will definitely stay there again.

    Elisabete2016-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Neo's place — everything we needed was there, with a separate futon so that the two of us could spread out into separate sleeping spaces. Everything we needed was there from silverware to dishes to a hairdryer; they all made our stay really easy and comfortable. It was also nice to get away from Manhattan to stay at night. The place is a bit of a walk from the subway. If staying with someone who has any kind of stamina issue or disability, especially when staying for multiple days, this wouldn't be suitable.

    Megan2017-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • We didn't meet Neo but we talked by messages for the check in and check out and he was very kind and understanding. The apartment was very nice and clean with a spacious living room and kitchen. The bedroom was especially comfy with its big bed and couch. The neighborhood is pretty convenient with some restaurants and supermarkets nearby. However we didn't appreciate the single bathroom that we had to share with 6 other people... It's very unconvenient in the morning when 10 people wake up at the same time and want to take a shower at the same time! Beside that, it was great!

    Morgane 2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • the room was very clean but at night it was very cold in the room and the metro stop was away on foot and the Internet insufficient.

    Nikos2015-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I enjoyed the stay at Neo's place very much. The whole apartment and our room were clean and we felt comfortable. When we come back to NY we will definitley book the room again. :)

Modern 2-bedroom apartment located in very popular Astoria neighborhood. It's located just steps away from the subway in the quiet residential area. It's very close to Central Park and Manhattan, approx. 10-15 minutes by subway. The large grocery store is just nearby, lot of restaurants, movie theater, museums. The place is excellent for family, couples, and business travelers.
This is a recently renovated 2-bedroom apartment, with luxury king mattress and 2 twin mattress. Almost entire furniture in the apartment is new and recently purchased.
Astoria is one of the most popular neighborhoods in the entire NYC. Everything is close - within withing walking distance to restaurants, bars, Kaufman Movie museum, movie theater, steps to the large grocery store (Stop & Shop). Even though it is close to everything, our street is residential and quiet, so there is no noise coming from the streets. • Negra and Eddi are the best host ever. The apartment is really beautiful and modern. It is very clean and well equiped. You find everything that you need. The location is also optimal. The subway station is 2min away and you can be in Manhattan within 10-15min. Negra and Eddi are really nice. They bought us milk, cornflakes, cheese and bagels for breakfast. On the last day they put chocolate for us in front of the door. Our stay in this place was wonderful. I definitely recommend to stay in this perfect apartment.

    Hela2016-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was better that we expected!

    Thomas2018-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Just finished a week long stay at Negra’s apartment. It’s in a great location with the subway opposite which we used every day to go into the city. There are shops and cafes / restaurants locally with everything you might need for your stay. Negra had arranged for fruit, water, fruit juice cereal and milk for us for our arrival. The bathroom was well stocked with toilet paper, shampoo and conditioner and overall the apartment was really clean. We stayed with our 5 and 6 year old children; the apartment is accessed via two flights of stairs which we had no problem with and the kids managed perfectly. There is a TV in the lounge area if you need it and the WiFi is excellent. Negra provided great communication throughout the entire booking process and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her as a host. Thanks again for a wonderful stay, the Dearden crew :)

    Sarah2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was very clean and exactly as described and on the pictures. Indications were clear and Negra, although she was travelling, she was always very quick to respond to any question. The neighbourhood is very safe, the organic store around the corner has everything we needed, the subway station is nearby and there are plenty of restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay !

    Michael2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved the Negra's apartment; everything was like the descriptions and the photos: we were three and we had enough space and comfort, every angles of the house was clean and in order, kitchen and bathroom had anything we needed. Metro stop is practically next door, literally two minutes from home: in 15 minutes you are in middle Manhattan! Astoria is a nice district, far from city chaos, so many places to eat and go shopping...the neighborhood is safe and fairly (Website hidden by Airbnb) far as possible in New York!!! We didn't meet Negra because she was on vacation but our communication before and during the stay was great: she's so kind and helpful...lovely! Only one thing for those who may be interested in: to get to the apartment at second floor there are a long ramp of very steep stairs. We absolutely recommend this accommodation!

    Valentina2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Negra's home was spectacular! her hospitality was wonderful. she was very quick to answer all questions and help us out with what we needed. The home is in a great location. We felt safe walking in the evening to and from the subway. The subway is literally on the same block which made getting around very easy. the home is superbly clean! everything is exactly as pictured and even better. I would definitely stay here again!

    Tiffany2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Negras place is as described, lovely comfortable apartment, the apartment is on the 3rd floor which was no problem to us, 20 min subway ride to Times Square, station is only 1 minute walk from apartment, both Negra and her husband were extremely helpful with directions, nothing was a problem for them, on our last night we came in to find a goody bag outside our door containing sweets and crisps ( a very nice thought) they kept our bags for us after checking out so we were able to make the most of our last day and they even ordered our taxi to the airport for us

    Dawn2018-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • The information was accurate, Negra has provided all the necessary info to access the property, quiet and safe neighbourhood, close to subway, clean house, easy access to anywhere in central.. Negra and husband assisted us even in the middle of the night. Planning on going back to the same location. First time in New York with my 15th year old daughter and was a success.

Astoria has a great community feel to it. It is a lovely neighborhood where you can hear birds chirping all day rather than the non-stop honking you often here in Manhattan. Within a few minutes of walking from various restaurants, diners, lounges, entertainment centers, clubs, bars, cafes, parks, churches, shopping stores, grocery stores, delis, laundry/ dry clean facilities, and more!
  • Michelles apartment is fantastic it is in Queens but sometimes it is great to be out of the hustle and bustle ...very easy to get into Manhattan. Michelles apartment is spotlessly clean and has some lovely finishing touches. Very comfortable place to stay for the week ...she has left many pamphlets about NY and the subway map was so useful ...Thanks Michelle

Brand new cozy ground floor studio only 30 minutes away from Manhattan. This is a very cozy & clean walk-studio apartment with a private entrance. Located in Woodside, close to area bars, restaurants, laundromats, supermarket and more. Tons of free parking in the area. Very quite neighborhood. Just a ten minute walk to the subway station. Also we have our friendly cat Harrison that patrols the area to keep everyone safe. Please say hello to him! He loves meeting new people :D
This studio has its own entrance and door. The kitchen bathroom bedroom is only for guests it is not shared with anyone else. This studio is close to local supermarkets, liquor stores, restaurants, bars and laundry mats. There is a 10 minute walk to the train station that takes you to nyc in 20 minutes.
I love living in Woodside because it is a very quite place and also very close to the city. There is a lot of different cultures near by which bring great restaurants and other small businesses.
  • The place was very cute and in a great location, couldn’t have asked for more! Andy was very responsive and I would stay there again.

    Brandon2018-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Andy is a nice guy, he picked us up from the airport for a little fee and gave us alot of information. The flat is great with self catering option which was very helpful as we were travelling with a toddler. The number 7 subway to Manhattan is usually not running over weekends which was a shame, so we had to take taxis. I would like to stay a bit more central next time to save on commuting times as a tourist!

    Purnima2018-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • The house was spotless. When we arrived, it was all clean. He left all the supplies we needed. It was all good! Everything we needed he helped us as fast as possible. I will definitely stay more often in your acomodation.

    Andrea2017-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Andy place was great, with it being a 10 min ride from the airport it sooo easy to get to. The house was perfect, it was very very clean when we arrived and spacious. The bed was so comfortable and a nice size for both me and my girlfriend. The host was very hospital, adding lovely Christmas decorations I around. The apartment is a simple 7 min walk to the train station and the number 7 train takes you directly into Times Square! So for people like me from England, getting around was sooo easy. I would recommend andy place to anyone staying in queens and I would stay again.

    Kayem2017-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in a great neighborhood. Not far from the 7 train. Dollar store, supermarket, Dunkin Donuts and a pizza store pretty close by.

    Diane2018-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • My sisters and I came up for the weekend to celebrate my youngest sisters birthday and had an amazing time! Andy’s place is exactly as described and extremely well kept and clean! We had no issues whatsoever and felt safe during our stay :) The walk to the train station was just less than a mile but it was a straight shot there and didn’t phase us one bit. Plus, you pass a Dunkin Donuts on the way there so that was really nice.

    Amber2018-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Andy has been a great host, his house was sparkling clean and cosy, and the small garden in the backyard made our stay even better. There was a supermarket close by, for all our kitchen needs and the subway station was a few blocks away. We felt very much at home, and we would surely recommend Andy's place to others visiting New York.

  • I definitely enjoyed my stay here and will be staying here for my next visit as I’ll be visiting NYC more often. It’s a very quiet neighborhood, great location, easy to find street parking, and Andy was a great host.

Amazing deal: extremely close to La Guardia Airport and to Manhattan; I am one of the longest-tenured Super Hosts in all of New York City.
To clarify… • This is a posting for a shared room. I will be in the apartment during your stay. You will be staying in my living room. • For the security and comfort of all parties involved, you must have a “Verified ID” badge on your profile in order to book this place. This is how to get it: https://www.airbnb.com/verify • You must also have a photograph of yourself. I am sure your pets are amazing and that you take awesome sunset photos, but I want to see a nice, clean, well-lit, and sharp portrait of whomever might be staying in the apartment. You can show me your cool photos once we meet. • Please tell me something about yourself. Are you a student? Do you have any interesting hobbies and/or stories? Who is your favorite musician? What drives you in life? What kind of traveler(s) are you? What brings you to New York City? Let me know. • For logistical reasons, let me know on your introductory message where you are coming from (i.e. airport, train station, bus drop-off center, another neighborhood in New York City, etc.). If you are flying in, kindly include your flight number. The more information, the better to ensure that I will be ready for your arrival. Once your reservation is confirmed, I will provide you with easy-to-follow directions to the apartment. • I abstain from going off Airbnb to discuss bookings. Bare in mind that Airbnb censors telephone numbers, hyperlinks, and emails. Do not worry as I reply to all communication in expedite fashion because I have a clear understanding of how crucial it is for you to get a timely reply. • The price is firm. You can certainly get a much more economical place but it will either lack amenities, have loose standards on sanitation, not be with a certified Superhost, be further from Manhattan, and/or (and this last one is often the case) be situated in an unsavory area. • Only two adults can be accommodated at a time, no matter how amicable, quiet, and flexible the third person in your party might be. The place is not child or pet-friendly. • Booking requests from intermediaries are not accepted. The person who will be staying in the apartment needs to process the reservation, not a friend, relative, or associate. • The check out time is 11 a.m. Please plan accordingly and respectfully. You will incur a $10 late fee for every hour you overstay. • Lastly, please be willing to leave a review so that I can remain a Superhosts. If all those points suit you, please continue reading. …The apartment is on the third floor of a well maintained and charming prewar walkup building. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and conveniently located 22 minutes away from Manhattan. I take pride in having a nice, clean, bed bug-free, rodent-free, uncluttered, and comfortable place.
The apartment is in a subsection of Astoria colloquially referred to as Little Egypt due to its thriving and very lively Middle Eastern population. It is a very safe area that offers all the amenities you can possibly imagine and need, from supermarkets that are open 24 hours to big retail stores (i.e. Victoria's Secrets, Gap, Express, etc.) to top-notch restaurants. The apartment happens to be very close to the Museum of the Moving Image, Socrates Sculpture Park, and Astoria Park. All of them are worth checking out. It is worth noting that the borough of Queens is considered one of the most ethnically diverse places in the world. As a testament of that, you do not have to walk far from the apartment in order to find cuisines representative of various countries and adaptable to various budgets,
  • Lou and Emily are really what they advertise. I think their place is so popular because they are clear about the type of listing in advance, so you're comfortable right away - you know what to expect. When I arrived, you can see how friendly and nice Lou is, and how his "goodness" is sincere. I only spent a few minutes with Emily, but you can see her warmth right away. They really made my stay easy and fun. I'm looking forward to meeting again!!

    John Carlo2015-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lou was a fantastic host and in my two months of travelling, one of the most genuinely nice and happy to help person I have met. It was much more than a place to stay, but a wonderful time exchanging stories, and getting many tips to see NYC. I would not hesitate to stay at this place again or recommend anyone (new or returning to NY) to stay at this place.

    Gordon2014-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • It was amazing to stay at Lou, he’s a good host, have a clean and confortable house.

    Beatrice2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Emily and Lou are the best hosts. It was my first experience at AirBnb and it was perfect. They have made everything to make me feel at home. They gave me tips, made me delicious breakfast, arranged the Netflix on TV for me..... The bed is really confortable, the appartment is very clean and it has evething you need. The subway is near. Around 5 blocks away. I was alone and I have felt really safe comming back 'home'. Queens is a nice neighborhood. I certainly recommend them. They are the best!!!!!!! Muito bom!!!!! Recomendo!!!!!!

    Bianca2014-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lou is a great guy - very friendly with interesting stories. The location is excellent, one block from Steinway St, which has tons of restaurants, especially Middle-Eastern. Very quiet (for New York), safe neighborhood. Also just a a couple blocks from express bus to La Guardia. Nice apt, clean, everything worked. About a 10 minute walk from subway. One of the best AirBnB's I've stayed at.

    Jim2018-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Emily and Lou was very considerate host. If you read the entire listing you will find every question you are looking for answered. The sharing arrangement situation rarely presented a problem. They were very accommodating and gave me tips according to my daily venture. I never really needed anything but they were always considerate to ask. They respected my area and my presence. Their place is really affordable and would totally recommend to others. Would love to come back if I ever need a place again.

    Kylie2014-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Emily & Lou are excellent host, and we feel like stay at home when we were in their house. The house is lovely, and the bathroom is clean. We got everything we needed. The breakfast made by Lou is really good! We are happy to talk with them, they let us know New York more. One more, Lou always gave us helpful information for traveling New York.

    芷憶2015-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lou and Emily are experienced hosts and that shows in the best way: nice conversations in the kitchen, walking 'round NY and simply the feeling of being welcome in their home.

My apartment is nestled right in the middle of Astoria, a wonderful neighborhood that's close to just about everything. The apartment is shared between you, my other guests and I.
The room is funished with a full sized bed, a desk, nightstand and chair. Air Conditioner and Heater are available in the appropriate season.
Astoria, is one of the most culturally diverse neighborhoods in New York. If you'd like to have a meal from a different corner of the world, that is easily possible without going more than a short walk! 24-hour supermarket and laundromat around the corner from our door.

  • Herbert was a great host! He communicated well with any questions I had and his place was nice and clean.

  • I stayed with Herbert when I did the NYC marathon. Perfect location between LGA and Manhattan.

    Marco2017-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. It was close to the subway and very few stations away from Manhattan. The apartment was clean and we had a lot of flexibility for the check-in and the check-out. I highly recommend it!

  • I definitely recommend Hebert’s place as a very convenient option to stay if you visit NYC. Very close to the subway, food and services close to you. This is a very good option and I hope to stay again in this place!

    Fernando2017-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Herbert was sympathetic, easy-going, helpfully, social and he answered very quick at our questions. You can even have a breakfast if you want to. I will recommend this place for everybody who is looking for a not too expensive place with a good location near Manhattan.

Brand new remodel with wooden floor and exposed brick walls. Near all trains and bus stops. All types of restaurants near the apartment.
I also have a indoor Zen garden with real plants and flowers within the apartment where guest can sit and relax or have a glass of wine.
We have lots of good restaurant in the neighborhood. There are few good Thai restaurant between 77 and 78th street on Woodside avenue. If you go to 74th street and Roosevelt Avenue there are few good Indian restaurants and Spanish restaurant. If you walk towards 61st street and Woodside Avenue, you'll find few good American and Irish restaurants and Pubs.
  • The apartment was excellent! It is kept very clean and had everything we could have needed. Having the Apple TV was a nice bonus to the apartment as well! Mustafa was an excellent host and answered any questions we had immediately! The fridge was stocked with eggs, milk, and juice making the mornings much more pleasant. The subway into the city was just a couple blocks away, and was never crowded. This was our first Airbnb experience and Mustafa and his apartment made it wonderful.

    Andrew2015-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • The place is fantastic, I fell in love for each masterpiece in that house. LOVE IT!

    Vitoria2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Despite only arriving late, Mustafa was already waiting for us outside the apartment to welcome us in. The place looks exactly how the picture depicts it to be; bursting with individuality! It is also comfortable and clean. Breakfast stuff are stocked in the apartment, just in case you wish to have a quick bite before starting your day. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, with cafes and grocery stores just a few minutes walk from the apartment. Importantly, the metro is no more than a few minutes walk away, taking you into the center Manhattan in less than 20 minutes. We wholeheartedly recommend this listing, especially for the attentive host and the beautiful apartment. We will definitely be back here the next time we are in New York City. (4 happy traveler)

    Jeryl2015-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay at Mustafa‘ place. Mustafa was extremely helpful and always available. His place is very clean and quant and we found it easy to get ourselves into Manhattan on the metro.

    Nicole2017-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice and clean apartment with a perfect design and decoration. It's location is also very good, less than 5 minutes to LGA by taxi (or uber).

    Yanjun2015-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! We couldn't have asked for more! Mustafa contacted us to make sure we were all set with location and arrival plans. He reached out in a friendly, appropriate, and professional manner.

    Robin2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience overall! Everything looked just like the pictures and was cozy and clean. I stayed with my father and brother and there was just enough space. Mustafa was welcoming and checked in on us a few times and the breakfast food provided was a really nice touch. Easy walk to the 7 train into Manhattan. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

    Andrea2015-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a delightful and cozy space. We stayed there with our 2 sons and thoroughly enjoyed coming back after long days exploring the city. The train is a short walk away and within 15 mins we were Manhattan. Mustafa was great before and during our stay checking to make sure we had everything we needed. The apartment is full of personality, very well provisioned and was comfortable for 4 of us. I highly recommend!

A beautiful master room in the new apartment with private bathroom and huge balcony. It is very convenient, which close to Manhattan. And it just takes 15 minutes to Laguardia airport. Also there are a lot of good restaurants and 24 hours supermarkets. This area is very quietly and safety.
  • Place was great and well location. I would definitely stay here again. Kaka was very accommodating.

    Reina2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Kaka was always very fast to respond. The neighborhood was safe and had cool coffee shops that we stopped in before heading into the city. Good price too.

    Se Jin2018-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Location, private room and bathroom is great and as described. However, we hoped for a clean common space and a quiet environment. The living room was messy when we came in and the people in the apartment were talking very loud (even on a Sunday morning). We could hear the voices very clearly in our room. There also needs to be a disclaimer that there are two elderly grandparents living in the apartment and use the common space. I’m not sure if this was a temporary situation or not.

    Aarati2018-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Nice stay in this bedroom. It has everything you need. Also the apartment has a living room and kitchen that you can use. Everthing was celan and in perfect condition. Kaka was answering our question with no delays in response and she is always helping you with whatever you need. The neighborhood is quiet, but if you walk to the Metro Station it turns a little bit dangerous. We really had a good time in here. Pd: If you want to save money in the lodging against distance to Manhattan, mantaining a good bedroom, this is the place to be. Just 15 min away from Times Square.

    Huber2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, large room with quiet roomy balcony, also a fridge and large private bathroom!!

    Paul2017-08-12T00:00:00Z

  • Kaka’s apartment is a great place for a short get away in NYC. Clean as described and kaka is available to help anytime.

    Quynh2017-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • I live in the same neighborhood and booked Kaka's place for my parents as they were visiting me and her place was very near by. Kaka was always quick in replying, and even I was bad at updating her in timely manner due to having new born baby, she has been very understanding and very flexible with the process around check-in/out. My parents was very happy with a the stay and I decided to book another reservation at Kaka's place for my parent-in-law to stay in April!

  • Location is good, its close to the subway lines and the restaurants. Lucilu herself is really friendly and is well communicated. She was really patient when it came to booking the room and she likes to help out her guests through the process. The bedroom was clean when we arrived. However, there were some parts that were not so good about our stay. These are that some things that were not listed such as a male and child occupant. We were under the impression that it was just Lucilu and her mother. There is an issue with the window in that you can hear the traffic from the highway as well as aircraft flying into LA Guardia airport. Lucilu does give ear plugs to help but it doesn't necessarily solve the problem. We were also informed that the general guest areas such as the bathroom would be cleaned frequently, maybe because of the timing it wasn't done at that time. This wasn't exactly a big problem. In the bedroom, there wasn't any storage spaces apart from inside a wardrobe which only had a couple of hangers, this was a shame as we stayed in the apartment for 5 nights. Overall, it was a decent enough place to stay and considering all factors, my fiancé and I would rate the place 3.5/5

    Nick2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Meets the basic needs for a traveler on a budget and has easy access to Laguardia airport.

    Adi2017-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Lucilu It is comfortable to stay in your house. Bathroom is really clean!

    Chunwei2018-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lucilu’s house was a great stay. The AC was the best thing about this room. The room was clean.

    Brent2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place to stay!

    Kaitlyn2017-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I really enjoyed staying here on NYE. Communication was very good & the room was exactly how it is listed. It got a little noisy, but that was expected because of the holiday and the host was so great by having ear plugs provided. It would have been nice to have a TV in the room, but since we only stayed for one night it didn’t really matter. It is WAAAAY CLOSE to the airport which is so nice & getting here by subway is extremely easy too. I would stay here again!

We are in the heart of Astoria just few stops away from midtown manhattan and 7 stops away from Times Square. Short walk to restaurants, bars, shops. Fully equipped kitchen allows you to feel at home if you wish to cook.
Astoria is a very hot up and coming neighborhood. It's a diverse area on NY that has been the hot spot for young, professional, young families and ones that have been here for decades. It offers a feeling of home with a variety of Cultural experiences. Many fantastic restaurants, parks, locals sights and all just steps or 3 train stops from midtown Manhattan.
  • I appreciated how flexible they were with letting us drop off our bags early and accommodating us with letting us come back after the check-in time!

    Deborah2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is not an entire home/apartment. This is a basement inside of an entire home/apartment. To enter, you must walk into kostas parents home, see the people sitting in their tv room and walk into the basement. The AC does not work as the thermostat doesn't work, and it reeked of bleach. The bed is a mattress on a spring frame. Not to mention the fact that the mother uses the restroom nude and you have to see it through the front door.

    Bryan2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a really great place in Astoria this is absolutely it. The downstairs apartment is super clean and has everything you could need to enjoy your stay. Checking in is super easy and the family is always above you and willing to help if you have questions. You're about a 15 minute walk from public transit but it's a nice walk through Astoria. All in all a great experience.

    Samuel2017-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic for my boyfriend and I. It was close to the subway and a lot of good restaurants in the area. It was very clean and the family was very nice! We both agreed that if we were to come to NYC again, we would stay here again! Our only complaint was there was no TV, which would have been nice for our off time. Overall, this place was great and would stay again!

    Miquela2018-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Sweet parents that live above were very helpful.

    Chris2017-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Pros: Good sized space, very kind & helpful hosts (Kostas’s parents), easy check in/out. Seemed quite clean to me. Cons: There was no stove/oven, which was not told to me before booking or arrival. There’s a huge open space where it clearly goes but was not there. I was only staying one night so it wasn’t a deal breaker, but it was still highly inconvenient as I was traveling with a baby and had to get delivery for all meals. So be sure to check with the host about that. Bathroom: It is not a full bath - it is a 3/4 bath, as there is no bathtub - just a shower stall. Wouldn’t have minded if I wasn’t traveling with a baby.

    Molly2017-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Would recommend to be able to see true New York with lots of culture and diversity. Lots of Delis and ethnic variety of food. Friendly people.

    Lorraine2018-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • The walls are a bit thin so you can hear everything upstairs and outside, but for the most part it's a quite neighborhood. There are a lot of close by amenities and easy access to bus stops and train stations. Overall a comfortable stay that felt like home away from home.

Apartament very clean and quiet, fully equipped, 30 seconds walking to the subway, (15-25) minutes to time square, and very accessible from the airports LaGuardia and JFK.
Private bedroom in a great location apartament queens NYC. The rental Area is completely private with your private entrance and key Comfy bed for two people, dining table and a desk space to work. The kitchen with the refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker which you are free to use during the stay also coffee. The apartament is equipped with WIFI. I provide clean towels also esencial amenities (toilet paper, shampoo, soap, razer blades and toothpaste) also please remember you could share the apartment up to 5 people JUST a few steps from the train station (7). Which takes a few minutes to Manhattan, GREAT location close to all kind of restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarkets and laundromats. The apartament is (15-20) minutes ride from LAGUARDIA airport and 25 minutes from JFK. Super safe area, which also have 24h grocery, pharmacy and supermarkets. I am flexible with CHECK IN and CHECK OUT time ( as long as I don't have anyone else in the bedroom or waiting for it). I like to keep the apartament really clean and quiet are the only big rules that you must respect.
You have restaurants and supermarkets around. The train is just in front of the apartament, It is a very convenient area. It takes you to manhattan in around 20 minutes.
  • A great place to flop for the night. Nice and close to the subway as well as a delicious Mexican restaurant on the corner.

    Trevor2018-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely convenient location. Just steps to the 7 train and 20 mins to grand central station, 25 to Times Square. The apartment is on the 2nd floor which requires a trip up a steep, narrow flight of stairs. The apartment and rooms are small which is standard in NYC. Future visitors should be aware that this small apartment is 100% set up as an Airbnb which can be accommodating up to 7 people on any given day. Something that must be considered if you are on a schedule. Only one shared bathroom for this many people can potentially delay things a bit. But none of this was any problem for us during our trip. We had a great stay. The host communicated very well and was extremely accommodating. We prearranged our early arrival to pick up keys and drop off our bags. We explored the Sunnyside/Woodside area a bit and found some great places to eat. Brunch at Lowry’s was very good. We had no problems at all during our stay. The other guests at the time of our visit were all very quiet and considerate.

    Liane2018-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Just what we needed in NYC. Simple and really close to the subway. Only needed to take one train to times square.

  • The room is good enough for two and bed is big !! It’s comfortable and quiet. When we have question, they answer quickly. They have 4 rooms to stay but one bathroom isn’t enough sometimes. Well we almost out everyday so it was good enough to stay !! Thank you so much :)

    Minii2018-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • The room was perfect for our needs! Great location to subway and very convenient location to places in walking distance. The only reason I gave the place 4 stars is because it needs a TV, other than that the host had great communication and were available when needed.

    Precious2018-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very clean and very close to the station!;))

  • Comfortable place close to the metro, Daniel is nice and very helpful. recommended for a nice vacation in New York.

    Marco2017-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • I had a good stay at Blanca & Daniel's Airbnb but thought it was a little bit too crowded and a bit too small (but photos were accurate). With three rooms and the lounge in use, the one bathroom affair does get a bit busy. Check-in and communications were great and easy to get into Manhattan from here. Good value for what you pay and a few supermarkets / shops around to stock up from.

Neighborhood is amazing. It is young and hip with new and iconic bars and cafes. Food from all over the world! The Sunnyside food festival takes place two blocks from here. There is a fresh farmers market stand every weekend two blocks away.
  • The apartment is great, clean and well located. It's about 15 min to Times square. Not having a "real" door wasn't a problem at all, you have your own space & you'll be totally independent. I'll recommend the place. Thanks for having us Ayesha.

  • I had a great time staying at Ayesha’s place. The space is huge! There were thoughtful touches like coffee and tea, a welcome basket with a fresh towel, soap. The apartment was stylish, clean, homey, and check in was easy. The neighborhood has many inexpensive and delicious restaurants as well as the 7 train two blocks away. I highly recommend staying here it’s everything an Airbnb should be.

  • Ayesha's place is a great place to stay at. The neighborhood is very lovely and safe. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. Ayesha is a friendly person. I just saw her twice during the eight days I was staying at her place so basically the house was mine. The room is very spacious and there were three comfy sofas. The metro was two blocks away from the house. I would recommend to stay at her place, it is a real bargain!!!

  • Ayesha’s place is quiet, close to subway, and a grocery. Ayesha did everything to make my stay comfortable. Perfect for what you pay!! Worth it!!

  • Ayesha place was quite and cozy. We had a good time, the neighborhood was lovely and with a good location. It was near some grocery stores and the two blocks from the subway station. The host responded quickly.

  • Our stay at Ayesha's was very comfortable and she never made us feel like we were intruding. The place was clean and very accessible to public transport. Ayesha never failed to respond to our questions and she bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable by being extremely accomodating from the first moments of us arriving, to us checking out. If we were to return to NY, we wouldn't hesitate to book again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Room for rent in a three bedroom apt in the heart of Astoria. The room features a queen size bed, a dresser, a desk, own lock on the door for secure privacy. Located in very cool, hip and safe Astoria neighborhood. Located only 15 mins from Midtown.
Guests have access to their room which features a queen size bed, big windows for plenty of sunlight, a closet, a dresser and a desk and chair.
  • Neo's place was what it promised: an affordable housing solution with value for somebody visiting NYC.

    Prajjwal2017-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Neo's place. We were in NY visiting from TN during the 4th of July weekend. The Astoria area is a very nice area. We felt very comfortable walking to local restaurants, grocery stores, and even the gym. We walked the neighborhood at all times from early morning to late night. We also used Lyft and Uber and both were easy to catch from our location. (Lyft was cheaper!) Our room was as described. We were fortunate during our time that we had no house guest to share the common areas with except on the last night, so there were no issues timing the usage of the kitchen or bathroom. Regarding the cleanliness of the house it was what one would expect. I'm a clean freak so many times my expectations supersedes others. One thing that I did notice in the morning before leaving, one of the other house guests left their hair in the tub drain, thankfully we'd showered before. I would assume those guests did not read the house rules prior to their arrival as its outlined to clean your hair from the tub/sink, etc. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend this location to others.

    Tee2016-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Room was clean and good. Toilets and kitchen was clean too. Neo was very accommodating and flexible. Only one downside, Bed had a metal piece in the middle which was uncomfortable, but otherwise, a good stay overall. Definitely would recommend to stay with Neo.

  • This place is very near LaGuardia, and it is easy to get there by bus. I would not recommend to use taxi, because NY taxi drivers prefer customers with longer rides. But 2.75$ with transfer will take you to the place. Bus stop on the same block. People there are friendly, they have special track for your luggage, place a small storage room, what ever you like. Place is extremely clean, and people I met well mannered and friendly. They have great kitchen, if you prefer to cook . There is "bunk bed place." They have gas station and Dunkin Donuts near by, on Astoria Blvd, if you are a night eater, like me. Walking at night is safe, nice neighborhood. I went to Dunkin Donuts at 230 am, no problems. Transportation is good, 2 bus lines are close by, but I bring to your attention. Get wiser change on the bus 2.75$, or buy her to card, and you need at least 2.75 on it. And mertocard is better, because you have free transfer on train within 2 hours you got on bus. So, these are you ways to the city get on bus, then on train. Saves money. Better then taxi. Hey, this is New York! Many nice areas located far from train stations, and you can get there on bus or in car only. So, I find this place perfect for the money I spent.

    Hurushka2017-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • The room is as advertised. It's a nice and budget friendly stay. I did have an issue with a guest stealing people's food. The place is off a busy road by LaGuardia Airport. You can walk 7 minutes to the M60 bus that takes you to Harlem or take the Q33 bus in front of the house that takes you to the train station.

    Minerva2018-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re flying into LaGuardia it’s a 4 minute Uber ride from the airport. The place is very affordable and if you don’t mind communal living accommodations it has some great value. I was a student intern and found it to work out well for my budget & schedule. Right next to the Q33 bus stop that takes you to the subway station and from there you can ride into different parts of NYC. Easy transport. As for the space, you get pretty much what you expect. It’s actually bigger than I expected. There’s two showers, a fridge and beds to lay your head. There are dishes and utensils. All you’d need is your own food if you want to cook. It’s NY so you may find yourself out a lot if your having a short stay. Area is nice and quiet and there are grocery stores and restaurants in the area if you don’t want to travel far. Also, if you’re staying longer there’s a laundry mat around the corner(6 min walk). Jimmy was an excellent host. He responds quickly and pops in to check on things often. I recommend this place if you’re on a budget like I was. There were also some great people I was able to meet while there as well. Better value here than a majority of places in New York that will charge you an insane amount.

Studio apartment + full kitchen with separate entrance in a two-family house. Owners and host couple live downstairs. One host is a NYC tour guide, the other a designer. Located in the diverse, safe, and lively neighborhood of Woodside near subways. Located halfway between Flushing Meadows/Citi Field and Manhattan. Perfect place to stay for events at Flushing Meadows such as the U.S. Open.
This is a fully legal vacation rental. NYC has banned short term rentals in apartment buildings and houses with more than two apartments. Because our house is a two-family house, it is not subject to the law and we can legally rent you our upstairs studio. UPDATE: Many of you may have heard about a change in the laws in NYC in October regarding Airbnb rentals. This change does not effect our apartment however. What the new law does is allow for fines to be levied against hosts who place ILLEGAL listings. But since our apartment is in a two-family house, we can still list it and LEGALLY rent it to you. The studio is on the upstairs floor in the rear of the house facing our back garden. The bathroom has a full tub/shower. The bathroom was completely gut-renovated in 2013. The kitchen features a gas stove and oven, refrigerator, and brand new cabinets. Coffee maker, toaster, and microwave are also provided. Bed is a Queen with tempuredic foam pad. Very soft and comfy! There is a small TV with cable and DVD. Some classic NYC movies are also provided for your enjoyment! The front room of the upper floor is our home office, but you will have a separate entrance to your apartment once inside the house. You will share the front door with us.
Our apartment is right in the heart of the borough of Queens. Lonely Planet just named Queens' its #1 U.S. travel destination for 2015 due to Queens' diversity, energy, art, and food. And our neighborhood of Woodside is one of the hidden gems of New York. It is a wonderful neighborhood of middle and working class New Yorkers from all kinds of backgrounds. The pride of the neighborhood is its diversity. Woodsiders come from dozens of nations and cultures including China, Mexico, Ecuador, Bangladesh, Colombia, The Phillipines, India, Tibet, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Korea, Ireland, Nepal, Peru, Thailand, and many more. Not to mention the many lifelong New Yorkers who call Woodside home. On any given day in Woodside you can hear Tibetans dancing and chanting in Doughboy Park, a religious procession for a Colombian saint, or traditional Irish music floating from the accented pubs. And with all that diversity, comes excellent restaurants. Woodside is the city's destinations for Thai food. There's also great Indian and Mexican restaurants, South American rotisserie chicken and street tacos for quick, cheap eats, and some of the best burgers in NYC. The neighborhood has all the important amenities; There's bagel shops, diners, butchers, grocers, Irish pubs, Italian and Hispanic bakeries, restaurants, pizzerias, and the neighborhood hub of St. Sebastian's Catholic Church. Crime is extremely rare and the neighborhood is very safe at all hours. Woodside is not for those looking for the new, hip, and trendy. This is old school, blue-collar NYC. A neighborhood of simple amenities, good neighbors, clean and safe streets, and salt-of-the-Earth New Yorkers from all over the world.
  • Shawn and Christine were excellent hosts - friendly and welcoming, with a great apartment. Offered to provide any assistance they could while I was in the city, and seemed like they'd genuinely go above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Would gladly stay again if in NY.

  • This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at Christine and Shawn’s place. The apartment is comfortable and clean, and in the winter the temperature is just right, without being too hot or too cold. You can’t beat the location! The house is on a nice quiet street, and it’s a very short walk to the MTA & LIRR trains, as well as tons of great restaurants & shops. Christine & Shawn are wonderful hosts!

We were able to drop off our bags and go enjoy the city while they were cleaning from the last guest and we checked in later that afternoon when we got back. There is TV with dvd player, iron, hair dryer and fully equipped kitchen. It is very clean has many widows, very bright place... One block to R or M train and it is only 4 stops to Manhattan Lexington Ave. Station ABOUT ASTORIA::: Astoria is one of the best neighborhoods in Queens. The last few years lots of young professional and hipsters have discovered the neighborhoods. Astoria has long been a favorite neighborhood with many families living there for generations. Here are a few of the many reasons to consider staying in Astoria. Astoria is 15 minutes or less from Midtown Manhattan. The N and Q subways lines run through the heart of the neighborhood, above 31st Street. and R or M along Broadway. It's also a hop, skip, and short drive over the Triborough Bridge to Harlem and to the Bronx. Why waste your non-work hours in a commute? Astoria Park is smack on the East River with gorgeous views of Upper Manhattan and the Queensboro and Hellgate Bridges. And Robert Moses' Astoria Pool is the king of all outdoor city pools. Astoria has always been known for Greek food (it is the Greek capital of NYC), and lately it has gained a reputation for fine dining and innovative cooking. The only old-school, big beer garden left in New York City, Bohemian Hall is wonderful. Turn off crazy urban 31st Street--the subway overhead--and escape into this huge beer garden with its shady trees, picnic tables, pitchers of icy beer, and platters of hearty Czech food and barbecue. It's a must on summer weekends with stein-thumping live folk music on many afternoons. Bohemia Beer Garden is a true urban oasis for families, visitors, and a cast of neighborhood regulars. The arts are picking up steam in Astoria. Local culture is led by the innovative American Museum of the Moving Image. It is one of the finest museums in New York City for kids, for adults, and definitely for movie aficionados.
  • My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay at Dragan's. It is conveniently located in a cute, residential neighborhood in Astoria and is a quick walk to the nearby subway station and many local restaurants, shops, and stores on Broadway. We loved strolling around the area and getting a feel for the local flavor. Dragan was very welcoming upon our arrival and checked in with us before we left. He made sure we knew he was available to us if we needed anything during our stay (which was 3 nights), and though we didn't, we felt comfortable reaching out to him if needed and he was very responsive to all communications we had with him before and after our stay. Having 2 bedrooms was great even for just us as a couple, as we had room to keep our luggage and belongings in 1 room and sleep in the other (and the price for it was comparable to many 1 bedroom places). I would recommend Dragan's place to anyone looking to stay nearby the city but wanting to experience another neighborhood with the convenience of nearby transportation to other areas.

Clean and cozy 1 bedroom apartment, filled with sunlight! We are 5 mins from the train station, and only a 20 min commute by train to Times Square and Citifield. It can accommodate upto 4 people and is very kid friendly. It's a sunny and cozy apartment with free parking!
The apartment has their own private entrance and can accommodate up to 4 people. Fully equipped kitchen. We also provide clean towels.
We love living in Jackson heights. We are a 20 min ride to time square and citifield. What we love about Jacksonheights is that we get the chance to experience different ethnicities and their culture and food. The 74th and Roosevelt area predominantly south east Asian culture with the best Indian, Nepali and Tibetan cuisine that we recommend.
  • We did not meet Tashi but we met his wife. She answered all our questions and was wery nice to us. Everything else was also ok. Really nice thing is place to park right behind the house. Thanks again for letting us stay at your place.

  • Tashi provided a great place to stay, close to the subway. Our unit was very small but clean. Tashi was very responsive if we needed something and check in was very easy. The only downside was that the second bed was quite uncomfortable. Had we not needed that this would be a great place to stay!

  • Tashi's apartment is great! Only 5 mins to subway hub and you can be in Manhattan in 15 mins. Apartment is clean and ready to accomodate 4 people. I was alone but 4 people can live here well. Great supermarket Foodtown 5 mins away. Tashi and his family is very friendly and polite and responds in minutes! After all, I will recommend Tashi's apartment to all.

  • Great stay!! Super convenient location and can’t beat free parking! The shower was AMAZING. Only complaint is that the neighbors upstairs were noisy the last night, it sounded like an elephant with tap shoes was moving furniture. Other than that I was an awesome place to stay! Communication was very effective!

  • Nice hosts and parking space is really convenient! Close to the subway and 15min away from the citi field stadium!

  • As pictured. Big space with two beds and decent shower. Perks of kitchen area and full fridge. Not the cleanest but not bad at all. Great location for a huge train station with so many options for transit. Love Ricky’s Cafe nearby as well. Oh but the futon bed is super thin and uncomfortable. Should probably get a memory foam topper and would be much better.

  • The apartment was about a 10 minute walk from the Subway and in a very safe, quiet residential neighborhood. Everything was as it looked in the photos!

There is a passcode on the door, no key required for check-in. This information is listed on the house manual/ under reservation details. The house is old and needs updates. • Stayed for 6 days, and for multiple people, this room is just amazing. The size, the location, everything. The house itself was very close to the trains, and had a variety of foods available which were walking distance. Beds were soft, sheets comfy and the added couch/TV area were perfect. The home is a little on the older side, with creaky floors and paper-thin walls, but if you're just visiting NY for fun, don't want to spend a ton by staying in Manhattan, get this room.

  • great host. great room.

  • The location of the house is really convince, it takes 10 minutes walk to metro N. The house is big, and our large size room was perfect. Highly recommend!!

  • It was easy and convenient to access the room. The room is a bit smaller and older than it appears on the pictures. Convenient because cheap, close to a subway station and only 20 minutes away from Manhattan. Nevertheless, it was unclean, especially the bathroom shower and there were a lot of stains on the bed sheets so it made us apprehensive to sleep there. It's good for a short term stay but I am not sure I would go there again.

  • its nice because the neighborhood is so nice and also the house is close to the subway

    Mirene2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in the Large Room which was too big for one person but if you’re more tha two it will save you lots of money! But again if you’re alone there are smaller rooms to stay! Good value of money! Close to the train station. In less than 20 mins you’re in Manhattan. The bathroom is new and always clean.

  • We had a nice stay. Location was very good, close from subway, neighborhood was quiet. Regarding living and bedroom, was not identical with photos but little bit worse. I recommend Funda like a host.
