Places to stay in New York
Location, Location, Location - 10 minute bus ride (1 stop) to NYC Times Square. Bus stop is a 2 mins walk from house and frequency is every few minutes for 24 hours. Super safe and Quiet neighborhood. Brand new, very clean, studio apartment with a private bath room, kitchenette and private work space. The studio is renovated with natural stone floors, high end finishings and closets, throughout the apartment. Breathtaking views of NYC 1 block away.
The Studio is located in the below ground section of the house. So you will need to walk up and down stairs, to enter and exit the building.
The famous Hamilton Avenue is a 2 mins walk away. This has breathtaking views of the city and a great place for a night stroll to near by restaurants.
  • Great place to stay for a trip to NYC. Spotless room. Awesome location. Great communication!

  • We really liked staying in Kams appartement. Everything was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The appartement was really large, we didn‘t even need that much space. The kitchen with a fridge, microwave, and water kettle was very convenient. Preparing some food at home can save you lots of money in New York. Walking 2 minutes to the hudson river and you can enjoy a brilliant view of manhattan. There is a great bus connection to times square (Port Authority Bus Station), which didn‘t take much longer than 15 minutes. We did not get to meet Kam personally, but we could always reach him and he did anything to make our stay as comfortable as possible :) In a nutshell: the value for money cannot be any better! But be forewarned: the A/C is really loud and it is not possible to turn it off, because it is the ventilation for the whole house. Sleeping without earplugs was impossible for us. But fortunately Kam provided some really good ones :)

  • Kam’s place was great! We were traveling to NYC for the first time, and we were a little nervous about getting around. He offered advice to me for using the transit system. He also left behind notes that details the process even more. The bus to Time Square is not even a block away. It’s so close. The apartment itself looked brand new. Everything was well maintained and clean. Some advice: Have cash handy to get into the city. It costs $3 in and $3 back to the apartment. We would definitely stay again!

  • Amazing place!

    Christa2018-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice place, not far away from New York dt, it will be less than 20mins to dt if u drive or call the uber. Really clean but it was a little bit cold when we stayed in there, maybe was because it was a basement. But other things are really good. Thank you for the sweet home, if we went to New York again we might choose the place again.

  • Good communication, nice apartment, great area!

    Faisal2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved how close and easy the bus was to the city! Kam was always quick to help in responses to our questions. We would gladly stay again :)

    Trinh2018-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is beautiful and right near the city as the ad states. Great lighting, big beautiful mirrors. The bed is everything, so comfortable to sleep in. The bathroom is a little smaller than we thought BUT still off the chain, the shower is great, the toilet, omg--you'll just have to see for yourself but you definitely won't be disappointed!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Reka's and Erin's home - they always helped us finding the best places in the neighbourhood (which is central and really nice with all the bars, cafés, the parc...ask them for the great bagel place ;-) We could use the kitchen as well as the fridge and especially loved the amazing view on Manhattan from the terrace!

    Felicia2015-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first air BnB experience and it was great. Reka was really flexible with check in/out times and her housemate, Erin, was super friendly and lovely! Thanks guys!

  • Joe is an excellent host, he will go out of his way to find things for you to do in New York City. Great location easy access to anywhere in Manhattan. If you like cooking Joe's kitchen has all the appliances that you would need. He even had almond milk and a variety of cereals, which I really appreciated.

    David2014-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Joe was very helpful. From the minute we booked the trip to us leaving he helped with every detail. For people traveling to NYC for the first time he is a great host.

    Cong2015-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Joe has a great place to stay in a conveniently located part of Manhattan. The room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here while you're exploring the city! :)

    Isaac2016-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Joe was very helpful and everything was great!

    Kim2015-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Joe's place was very nice. Quite a steal for the price really. And Joe was very accommodating. I was very late to arrive but Joe kindly welcomed me in. The place is peaceful and the natural sounds made available in the room make your sleep even better. I'd stay there again and I sure would recommend the place to friends.

    Tendekai2015-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay there! The apartment is quite nice, and very calm. Joe is a very friendly and heppful host, he pointed out some attractions in nyc for me and also the transportations. The only downside is the bed - it is hard. But that is not a problem for me, because i am easy to fall asleep.

  • Staying at JJ's was solid

    Jake2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Jj gave me great directions to his apartment for the Newark airport. The apt. is in the middle of Harlem, walking distance to its coolest spots, and all the subway lines. Jj was there when I arrived and was flexible with my arrival time. Upon arrival he gave the keys of the building, apartment and of the bedroom. The bedroom was small but sufficient and had AC (which was great for those late August NYC nights). The bedroom was a bit dusty. I didn't see JJ through my week stay but he periodically checked in via Airbnb msg. Very nice! I would recommend this place for those who don't expect to hang in the apt. but hit the street from morning to night.

Enjoy this cozy, colorful, second bedroom in hip Williamsburg! Our cozy apartment is just a quick 20 minute train ride from downtown Manhattan, and the neighborhood boasts an array of bars, restaurants, and shops.
We're renting out our second bedroom in Williamsburg. This charming room has a full size bed and a courtyard-facing window. It is quiet, spacious, and colorfully decorated. The entire apartment was gut renovated in June 2013 and it's located in a beautiful, clean pre-war building. Both the kitchen and bathroom have all-new appliances and fixtures. The kitchen boasts exposed brick and a sunny, courtyard-facing window. The entire apartment gets plenty of natural sunlight all day, and is breezy in the afternoons.
Our apartment is located in the heart of Williamsburg, right near two different subway stops. We're within easy walking distance of Metropolitan Avenue, Grand Street, and Union Avenue, all of which are bustling with shops, restaurants and bars, grocery stores, delis, laundromats, anything you might need. You'll also be a short train ride into the city as well. 20 minutes from Manhattan, the apartment is conveniently located between the J and M at Hewes and the L and G at Lorimer. Both subway stations are within 3-5 minutes walking distance. For those with a car, the BQE is just a few blocks away.
  • We enjoyed our 5-night visit and stayed and Megan's place which was nicely decorated, well equipped and very clean. The location was perfect: in the middle of a lively neighborhood and only 15 min away from downtown Manhattan. Megan and Andy also provided those little essentials you easily forget... Very kindful. Absolutely a place to recommend!

    Laurent2016-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Williamsburg. The apartment is close to Manhattan, the location is very nice. There are many Restaurant and Pubs nearby. The room was just as described. Everything perfect!

    Mike2016-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • The room is very quiet and I can recommend it to everyone visiting New York. Even though we never met Megan she was always quick to respond via mail and everything from receiving the key to getting the wifi password was already planed out by her. We could truly feel like on vacation and didn't need to worry about anything.

    Claudia2015-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Megan stakes a claim to being an ideal Airbnb host: she provides everything you might want as a guest, and nothing that you don't. She was super friendly and helpful to me in the lead-up to my visit and throughout my stay, and just a pleasure to interact with. The room and apartment are exactly as described: clean and comfortable. Altogether, this is a charming Williamsburg oasis. Airbnb needs to add a sixth star for some folks. :-)

    Dale2018-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was so great! Awesome location, room was really nice and clean. Comfy bed and lots of necessities provided such as toothbrushes and other toiletries. We only saw Andy and Megan once which was fine as we were really busy and seeing sights all the time. The area in Brooklyn is so great. There are bars close buy and good coffee (Melbourne standard :) ). Communication was great and getting the key was easy. Would highly recommend this place! Thanks for having us :)

    Bridie2016-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • We got in pretty late and Megan was asleep when we checked in, but the key was easily accessible and we had no problems getting situated. Her apartment was very clean in both the sense that it wasn't dirty and that the aesthetic was simple and really nice. I was thoroughly pleased with the experience and would love to stay with Megan again. She was incredibly accommodating and pleasant.

    Rob2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was very nice and clean. It is beautifully decorated and we were even offered an iPad to use. It just provided everything we needed. Megan and her boyfriend were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for hosting us!

The north bedroom in my 3 bedroom penthouse apartment. I say penthouse because it’s the entire top floor, not because it’s a $15 million apartment with a swimming pool and helipad. :) This is Brooklyn. But I think you’ll love it for the same reasons I do: 5 trains within 5 minutes, a rooftop facing Manhattan, live music everywhere, late night restaurants, nearby McCarren park and a feeling like you’re in an actual neighborhood! 7th yr living here (4th as host) and still love it! You will too!
IMPORTANT UPDATES: 1) 5 Day Maximum Rental - No Exceptions. Please don't enquiry for longer/long term. 2) Airbnb has changed their display pricing and are showing customers my rooms at $10-20 a night. This is not the regular rate, it's the last minute price I may have set recently and doesn't include the cleaning fee that we can't manually set based on length of stay and is $50 for laundry and cleaning. This brings the price to it's normal level for my average guests who stay about a week. DESCRIPTION: DIY IS YOUR FRIEND - You'll notice this as soon as you come into the apartment. James and I loved building things and putting the apartment together with our own touches. The living room cocktail table we brought from central Brooklyn on the subway and spent four days sanding, cleaning, painting and constructing it into a table. You'll see touches like this all over the apartment. HAVE YOUR CARRIE BRADSHAW MOMENT - Pop out the window in the living room like Carrie and have a smoke on the fire escape or watch the sunset, or climb up to the roof and have a martini (we usually drink margaritas up there) and have a great NYC moment. BOUJI TO BUSTED - Have drinks on the roof of the Wythe Hotel for $14 and look out over all of Williamburg or spend $5 and get a PBR and a shot at Union Cafe with a taco in their back garden and listen to some live music. This neighborhood caters to the whole spectrum and you can eat til 2 am and drink til 4 am. LOWER MANHATTAN IS 1 STOP AWAY - 5 Train lines within a 5 minute walk of the apartment, the J, M, Z and G, L so getting into Manhattan is easy and the trains run 24 hours a day. ENJOY YOUR PRIVACY - If you want to have a chat catch me when I'm having a cocktail on the weekends and getting ready to go out and we'll have a laugh, but other than that you have privacy and I let you do your thing while I recharge during the week in my space doing mine. 4 YEARS OF AIRBNB HOSTING - 500 GUESTS - Yep. That's right. Been doing this for 4 years and have had over 500 guests so I know what I'm doing. Hope to meet you soon! If you have any questions, ask away!
Williamsburg is amazing. Anyone who has lived in NYC for awhile can tell you there is an immediate difference in the energy of this place to Manhattan. It feels more neighborhoody, people are friendly and there's a creative vibe everywhere. You can't go into a bar or restaurant without bumping into designers, photographers, musicians, painters, web developer and the list goes on and on. There is music everywhere and lots of cheap drinks for the hipster crowd. It's a fantastic neighborhood.
  • We stayed at Martin's place for two weeks as we were settling down in New York and looking for a permanent apartment to rent. The room was really confortable and it was great to have AC as it gets really hot in summer! We also loved the living room. The apartment is really well located, in a nice neighborhood of williamsburg and close to the L train that gets you to Manhattan real fast. Martin was really nice and helpful with everything. Thanks again for welcoming us in your home!

    Guillaume2014-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • The neighborhood and location is so perfect, close to Williamsburg shopping and Manhattan and a the train. The apartment is really cool, clean and has great natural light. Martin is very nice and made us feel comfortable. Its a great place to stay.

  • Martin was an excellent host!! Was friendly and kept to himself when we were in the apartment. Barely knew he was there except when bumping into each other in the kitchen which was no big deal at all. I had a very pleasant experience and will recommend this place to friends! Highly recommend to others looking for a nice place in Brooklyn!

    Nicole2016-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Martin was a great host, despite the fact that I arrived way later than I expected, Martin was alert and helped me getting in and accommodated. His place was clean, cozy and located in a very trendy area. Although I didn't spend much of my days indoors, I had a smooth experience and would totally recommend Martin to anyone looking for a place in Williamsburg.

    Rodrigo2015-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as described. I enjoyed my 7 nights stay with Martin. I am happy to recommend it as a place to stay when visiting New York.

    Michael2018-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Martin and his roommate were wonderful hosts. We spend very good time together and they recommended us some places to go close to the apartment. The room and the apartment are both very clean and nice. The location is perfect since the center of Williamsburg and Bedford station (L train) are at less than 10mn by walking. There is also the Metropolitan Av station (G train) at 5mn and the Hewes station (J,M trains) at 5-10 mn. I highly recommend this place!

    Guillaume2013-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time in Brooklyn!! We stayed at Martin's apartment for 3 nights. He was a great host and the apartment was nice and clean and in a good neighbourhood/great location. I recommend his place to travellers!!

  • Christopher was really a great host! He gave us a lot of advice what to do in NY and was really friendly. The room was large and sunny and with many interesting books we could read. The bed was also comfortable. Due to the many pubs and restaurants in the neighbourhood, we had the opportunity also to go out in NJ. The main street can be a little bit noisy at times, but nothing too big of a deal. All in all we can definitely recommend this room. It's so close to Manhattan. Thanks for hosting us Christopher, hope to see you soon!

    Amela2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 6 nights at Christopher's place sightseeing NYC. Apartment in NJ is conveniently located near subway to Manhattan and rest of NYC. The apartment itself is very original and spiritistic. You can see it contains the soul of an artist :) Christopher helped us locate places that are interesting and untouched by tourists. We are really happy he was our host and we recommend him to anyone visiting NYC or NJ.

    Ania2015-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • An excellent stay. Christopher was welcoming and an awesome host, and I had the best week of sleep in a long time; the mattress is on the floor but exceptionally comfortable. Five perfect pillows in a private room with a very relaxing atmosphere. Two blocks from a diverse selection of eateries and lots to do. Very nice.

    Joe2016-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher was a perfect host and the room is lovely - large and sunny, exactly as advertised, very comfortable bed, and the whole apartment has a very welcoming vibe. I'd stay here again anytime.

At the same time he is very empathetic as well and feels whenever one need some private space/time - the room has a private entrance allowing you to come and go as you like. Easy access to Manhattan via PATH 24/7. The apartment is decorated with books, art and other treasures - cosy ambience. The mattress was comfortable and the bathroom tidy and clean. Fully recommendable! Thank you Chris, for having me at your place. I enjoyed my stay!

  • Super friendly. Clean and good connection to subway. Would go there again!

  • We had issues with the key to the apartment at night and were unable to get a hold of the host or to get in until another guest opened the door for us. Other than that the room was lovely. Well decorated, very clean, location was so close to Central park as well as lots of little restaurants and shops! Host was pretty friendly and small language barrier didn't cause any issues.

  • We asked Marilyn about parking three times within a month prior to our visit without a response. The address listed on the page is incorrect, we were wandering around NYC with many bags trying to figure out where to go. She tried to tell me she had given me “the right” address but she never sent us anything outside of the listing. The room was small and well decorated, but the heat was turned up so high that it had to be over 80 degrees. It is not listed in the description that you are sharing a space outside of the bedroom and a bathroom with someone. We had to cancel 2 of our nights due to things out of our control (car accident, snow storm) but I would not recommend staying here. Additionally, a lot of locals said it was not a good area to be in at night, so it is important to take that into consideration.

  • We had a great time at a wonderful place.

    Carolina2018-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great, quick communication with very sweet hostess. Loved this clean place to sleep and shower. That's all I need - don't need kitchen or living room. If that is what you are looking for, then this is the spot for you. Easy access to subway and I felt safe walking alone in the dark. I will be back!

    Tina2018-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn's place was really nice! The neighborhood isn't too bad. Once you walk in the building - it's beautiful. The room is averaged size for New York. The bathroom and whole apartment is very modern with lovely brick walls. There were some nice Canadian and German guests in the other room that was rented out. Overall, the price was great and we would stay again!

    Phillip2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn’s place is a beautifully put room in very well and clean house. The room shares a bathroom with other guests. She was a great Host and let us put our suitcases and use the bathroom before check in time. It is next to great food from all nationalities near by. It got a little hot on the night that is was the only inconvenience. However the price and great service made up for it.

  • There were a few hiccups during my stay with Sean, but he generally responded very quickly, which is what matters when problems arise. Location is great, short walk to both J and M trains. The place is clean and quiet. I felt very safe in the area as well. Overall, great value!

  • Sean was really helpful on all the needs; very clean spot and all what you need in 2 mins walk. Recommend

  • Close to subway and Manhattan including direct connection to JFK. Simple to find; very easy and flexible check-in and checkout. Great and helpful host. Very comfy bed. Would like to come back!

    Eric2017-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sean is a courteous, compassionate and conscientious host who is always willing to make your stay as warm and welcoming as possible. I enjoyed having a host who anticipated my needs–even before I did. The apartment space is open with tall ceilings accompanied with a full furnished kitchen for cooking anything and full bath. In terms of sounds for interrupting sleep, well, there is not! I slept so well in the room! It was a very relaxing and comfortable stay at Sean's AirBnB.

    Chelsea2018-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sean’s place is neat & tidy. The kitchen/living room is spacious, nice to sit down to eat a meal if you feel to. The bed is really, super comfy. It’s a pretty quiet location where the apartment is but not far from the Main roads & public trans. Overall I had a great stay here. Would recommend & even book here again if the opportunity arose :)

Welcome to our garden apartment in Jersey City! Perfect for tourists trying to see nyc on a budget or for a longer term sublet, our one bedroom/ one bath is comfortable, quirky and fully stocked for you! A perfect green patch in the middle of the concrete jungle. Just 35 minutes to world trade center by public transit for a night on the town or a 10 minute Lyft to downtown JC. 5 minute walk to brand new Berry Lane park. 10 minutes by Lyft/ 20 minutes by light rail to Newport Mall.
Welcome to our home! We bought this two family home in JC ten months ago and have been working on both apartments to make them the perfect home for us (upstairs) and the perfect home away from home for our guests downstairs. This one bedroom/ one bath apartment on the ground floor is perfect for a family or group on a budget who'd like to visit NYC short term or for a single person or couple who'd like to sublet longer term. There is a private entrance from the street under the stairs. As you enter the apartment you'll see the kitchen/ living room with kitchen table, sofa with full size memory foam mattress TV and exposed brick wall. Next on your right is a European style washer/dryer combo unit, the bathroom and the bedroom is in the back with a queen size bed, dresser and closet with hangers. As you exit the back of the apartment you'll see the garden we've been lovingly working on for 6 months with the raised bed. Of course our guests are welcome to veggies that are in season during your visit. Feel free to lounge in the chair out back and enjoy our shady garden or enjoy and outdoor dinner at the table. The garden is also perfect for your furry friend, but please pick up after your poo :) We usually live right upstairs so if you have any questions/ needs don't hesitate to come on up and ask!
Our neighbors are mostly young families, in a typical urban New York/ New Jersey style. It may be a little closer quarters than you're used to if you're not familiar with the area, but everyone here is friendly and looks out for each other. There is a bodega around the corner where you can get sandwiches, meat, cheese, eggs, butter, snacks and some produce and a larger grocery store four blocks away. 4 blocks directly east is the beautiful Berry Lane Park where you can catch a soccer game, use the bike paths or let your furry friends run around in the dog run. At the northern end of the park is JC hooked and the factory, two of our favorite restaurants... all about a 10 minute walk away from the front door.
  • Great place, clean and warm. Tons of great instructions for getting into the city and very close to the light rail which connects to other trains.

  • Oooh Katie was the best! Great communication all the time. The place is what you see in the pictures and even better in person....we felt like at home! ❤️ we loved everything about the place inside and outside. Neighbors were the friendliest! The neighbor actually a couple of times would hold a parking spot for us to park our car in front of the apartment. The neighbor also recommended us too a great restaurant “Ringside”! This apartment will deff be my to go apartment when going to nyc! Transportation everywhere. Did I forget to say I couldn’t get over the fact that the washing machine wash + dries clothes !!!! ‍♀️ In loveeeee! Super happy I chose to stay in Katie’s apartment!

    Jennifer2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our time at Katie’s apartment was pleasant. Katie and John helped us out with tips on how to get around and provided everything we needed. The apartment was in a perfect location, about 10min away from Journal Square Station that takes you to NYC. We really like the place and we would recommend it and consider it when we come back.

Located in prime trendy tree-lined block of Hell's Kitchen, this beautiful apartment is full of natural light and is very quite. Situated in the rear of the second floor of a well maintained walk-up.
Space features hi-ceilings w/ recessed lighting, dramatic exposed brick in nicely furnished living room and bedroom. Good light and large queen size bedroom makes this unit very comfortable. Open concept stainless kitchen and wide-plank wood floors.
Few places in the world can rival Hell's Kitchen for its concentration of iconic landmarks. The Empire State Building towers over 34th Street at Fifth Avenue. From there, you can walk one block west to Macy's flagship, or a few blocks north to see Patience and Fortitude, the photogenic marble lion statues standing guard outside the New York Public Library. You can pass through Times Square en route to Rockefeller Center and the Museum of Modern Art. The area is also home to legendary performance halls, including dozens of Broadway theaters, Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden and Carnegie Hall, as well as newer concert venues like Terminal 5. The seemingly endless files of skyscrapers also house journalism, finance and advertising giants: The New York Times, for instance, has been headquartered in Midtown West since 1904. Midtown West is an undisputed cultural and commercial hub of New York City, located near the geographical center of Manhattan. Fifth Avenue — the city's most notable shopping strip, where you'll find stores like Bergdorf Goodman and Tiffany & Co. — separates Midtown West from Midtown East. Central Park and West 59th Street form its northern border. The southern and western boundaries are less distinct. In the low West 30s, buildings start rising higher and pedestrian traffic gets heavier (hallmarks of Midtown), though this section is sometimes referred to as the Garment District. Midtown West extends west to the Hudson River, which incorporates blocks of the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood as well as the Theater District (the core of which is Times Square). But visitors often spend a good chunk of their Big Apple vacations here because there's so much to see and do. Times Square alone draws more than 39 million visitors each year.
  • The apartment was indeed in a prime location in Hell's Kitchen. Quiet, yet you walk out the door and you're in the middle of a bustling neighborhood. Super comfortable bed and adequately stocked apartment. Konstantin would not reveal exact apartment location until I met him (and I believe that the listing location he has on airbnb is not correct), which was a bit disconcerting, but Konstantin communicated well and was prompt in meeting me. Minor cleanliness issues were responded to quickly by the host.

    Michael2016-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Konstantin's place was incredible. Not only is it a beautiful and spacious apartment, but its location is unbeatable. It is in Hell's Kitchen, right outside of the insanity of Times Square but still close enough to access the top tourist spots and subways. Konstantin is easy to contact, flexible, and professional. My daughter and I had an excellent experience and would definitely book again. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Martha2016-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very close to Times Square -- and still very quiet. I'm a light sleeper and I had no problems at all (I live in the country so when I say "quiet", I mean it). The apartment was very clean. LR/Kitchen, BR, bath in a small footprint (hey, it's NY!), but everything you need is there. I will definitely plan on staying here again next time I'm in the city.

    Geoff2018-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Konstantins apartment was everything we needed in NY. Located in the busy Hell's Kitchen you are close to everything.

    Kristian2016-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • We're really satisify with the apartment. Images are 100% true and exact, and the whole interior is comfy and nice. There're many nice restaurants around, and the traffic couldn't be more convinient. We especially like the bar right down stairs. I'll definitely book again next time!

    JingAn2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Konstantin was extremely accessible, professional and helpful. Despite not having the address and the check-in time not being ideal for me, he made arrangements for someone to meet me earlier and let me in. He was also quick to respond my text or phone when I had a question, i.e. how to work the hulu television and how to check out. Only thing that wasn't 100% wonderful, was not knowing the address ahead of time. Gave me a little sense of unease initially and then when going back on my own, I had forgotten to look and see what the building number was as I had been following the person checking me in. But I just called Konstantin and he answered immediately and took care of it. Apartment is good size for NY for 1, max 2 people. Plenty of windows too which is a major bonus for NY. Location ideal for most things in NY too and felt very safe. Building felt safe and people I met in the halls were all very friendly. I am a woman who was there on her own for work, and felt very comfortable. Highly recommend.

    Sarah2016-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great little apartment in Hell's Kitchen! We had a great stay here and I'd recommend it. Can get a little bit noisy at night, but is probably on the quiet side considering the neighborhood :)

    Tyler2018-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • just like having an apartment in the city. However, they have obviously take great pains to make it exceptional! Easy fast wifi, a list of local restaurants, attractions and necessisites as well as fresh, fluffy towels! The place was emaculate and didn't make you feel like crashing in someone else's apartment.

Your own studio apartment, full size bed, private bathroom, closet, high ceiling, sunny, NO kitchen but there is a refrigerator, keurig, microwave, HD TV, cable, J, Z & M trains nearby, 15 minutes to lower Manhattan. Please note that I also have two other listings, same building, please click on my profile to look at it. It is the same set up but larger. Also you can try this link 2nd floor: https://abnb.me/OE82FIZZjT and 3rd floor: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/15222861?s=51 Thank you :)
Have your own key to get into the building and apartment whenever you like. There are three steps from the sidewalk. There is usually parking on the block, I never have problems parking. Note, there is street cleaning on Monday and Thursdays from 8-9:30 AM, so you must move your car or you will get a ticket/citation.
Bushwich is part of Brooklyn, South West of Williamsburg. The neighborhood is up and coming, new restaurants are opening up every month, art galleries, shops, etc. There is a laundry mat around the block and supermarkets within blocks. Planet fitness is one stop away by train.
  • Walters place is easy to find and after an in depth conversation with him on the phone I got all in information and more. He is super helpful and polite. The area is typically Brooklyn, vibrant, multi cultural and down to earth. We did find it a bit loud on a Saturday but that's probably normal in Brooklyn and this is not Walters fault. His place was clean, easy to access once you have worked out the numerous keys. It's on the first floor so great if you have bags, but what Walter leaves as a way of treats is awesome, coffee, tea, fruit, snacks, breakfast, Popsicles. All perfectly chilled in the fridge and a microwave if you need to warm things up. Lovely clean towels and all bathroom items you require including shower gel and shampoo. We were impressed and really happy to stay there, had a great time thanks Walter would definitely recommend

  • We had a great stay in bushwick, brooklyn. We felt safe and very welcome all the time. There was an opportunity to make coffee and store food in the private fridge, which we enjoyed a lot. The house is quiet and well located near the subway station and some good places, restaurants, bars, delis and all the beautiful painted walls just around the corner :) thanks walter, he is a great host

    Skylor2015-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Walter was very accommodating in our arrival. Our flight was delayed several hours and he met us at around midnight to let us into the apartment. The room was as described and in a convenient area of Bushwick. Check out Archie's for good pizza and beer.

    David2015-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Walter is an excellent host! He was in touch throughout our stay. The space is comfortable for the price. Getting to the Manhattan area took way longer than we thought, though. If you don’t mind putting in the extra time to get places from this location then it’s worth it because everything else closer to the city is higher priced. We got the unlimited 7 day transportation pass and we used that for a combo of busses and subway line to get around.

This is a comfortable studio apartment with exposed brick that has a true city feeling. This studio has a newly renovate bathroom and kitchen with stain steel appliances. The space fits four and is centrally located on a Historic quiet street. This unit is loaded with cable and wifi. Just blocks away from public transportation A and G train lines. And minutes away from the bus route B25 B26 and the B44. Come and explore the charm of Bed-Stuy and all the Historic's. I love this neighborhood. !
This historic section of Brooklyn is home to some of the most magnificent brownstones streets in the world, with charming architectural landmarks. There so many new restaurants and bars popping up in the area such as Peaches,Hot house,Royals, Saraghina, and Gallery.
  • I am a fairly frequent AirBnB traveler. Michelle’s home was top notch and all communication with her was 100%. My wife and I felt like locals in this space. It was about a 10 minute walk to the train that took us into Manhattan. Take the express and it’s pretty fast. The neighborhood is totally residential. Easy parking on street. Another reviewer mentioned some noise from neighbors. We did not have any issues at all. I would definitely stay again.

  • Nice and big accommodation, clean and very nice landlady who checked regularly if everything is fine or needed. We could even store our luggage after check out. Thanks!

  • We went as my friend is a drag queen, this was in such a great location for access to many of the cities finest drag bars as the best ones all seem to be in Brooklyn. The apartment itself was comfortable for two people, just a little small I could imagine for many more. However we loved our stay, Michelle was a wonderful host and I can't recommend this place enough.

    Hannah2017-09-11T00:00:00Z

    Nicola2017-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is pretty much exactly what it looks like in the photos! Super warm in winter and the bed was really comfy. Was really easy to get into Manhattan and to JFK on the A train. Would recommend the coffee place on the corner on Putnam Av and Tompkins Av Michelle let us check in slightly early which was really helpful!

    Tom2018-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is exactly how it is. The space is very cozy for 2 people, very spacious for 1. Communicating with Michelle was efficient and easy and she is very accommodating. We were close to both busses and subway and could easily be in uptown/downtown Manhattan in 30-40 minutes. Would definitely book again when we come back!

    Yvelle2018-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle is a generous, authentic, wonderful host and we were so happy to meet her. The house is in a great spot, has everything to make the stay comfortable - we'd love to go back as well as recommend it to others. A big shout out to Jay as well, her tenant who is a great guy and very helpful.

    Carlyn2017-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Michelle's Studio was the best we've had so far through the portal. Michelle went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable- it never felt like we were guests, we were treated as friends. The house is very well equipped (new kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures, etc.) and spotless. The apartment is well located- lots of shops and restaurants in the vicinity, and the subway station is about a 7-8 minute walk away. If you're planning to hang around Manhattan-Brooklyn, and want a warm and comfy environment to stay in, Michelle's home is definitely the place to book.

Beautiful large loft in the heart of Chelsea and Union Square. By museums, Greenwich Village, close to the water, and steps away from every major subway line in NYC. Great bars, clubs, and restaurants, as well as shopping within walking distance. Comfortable queen size bed in the loft and a great twin daybed in the main space fits 3 easily. Plenty of light and charm. It is on the 4th floor of a walk-up.
  • It was a pretty small space. Not quite the large loft it was made out to be. Slightly difficult for 2 people to share the space. We had issues with the heat, and I tried contacting the host for help but I got no response. We ended up leaving and spending our last 2 nights in a hotel. The location was great though. Was right in middle of everything we wanted to do. Great market just down the street too.

    Teal2019-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the location of apartment. Restaurants near by and easy access to the subway. The space is small but works for 2 people. The apartment could use a deep cleaning and some decluttering. Towels and bedding were clean.

    Melissa2018-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for this little apartment in one of the best neighbourhoods of Manhattan. Fast communication from Paul, all the time trying to help. On the other side, the apartment cleaning was really bad. All kitchen apparels were dirty, the bathroom was not really clean, there was garbage bag from previous guests, and in general the apartment had dust all around. Also the apartment is on a third floor without lift and the bed is a thin mattress on the floor, so if you have back problem keep it in mind!

    Chabier2017-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Paul's place is just as he describes and the perfect location to be easily accessible across Manhattan. It is a standard NY style loft apartment - big by NY standards, small for suburban folk. We had my mother-in-law with us and she was plenty comfortable. The shower was hot and the kitchen served well for us to make breakfast everyday - all the minimal items necessary. It was 90 degrees F in NYC during our stay, and even still, as long as we put on the A/C and fan for an hour before bed, we were cool enough to sleep. The fan blows the hot air out of the loft and the A/C cools it. Very close to a fancy neighborhood market and the metro, as well as any sight you may eat to see in the city. Check in was easy with all the instructions provided. Would stay here again.

    Rebecca2018-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • The flat of Paul is very central located within manhatten. It has 3 different metro stations just around the corner. You are at Time Square within 15 minutes for example. The flat is very quiet and everything necessary is available like a Hair Dryer for example. We can definetly recommend it for a visit in New York. The only point that we felt uncomfortable with was the black molt in the shower.

    Jasmin2018-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Worst and Scariest AirBNB ever!!! Keys are where he says, door doesn’t work, left open before we got there, room filthy, bed on the floor, storage boxes all around, door didn’t shut correctly and locked us inside having to call 911 for assistance. HORRIBLE!!! Not safe!

Private room with its own entrance in a comfortable apartment located in Brooklyn's beautiful Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. The room has two huge windows and gets great light. You will have your own mini-fridge, microwave, snacks, and a coffee/tea station in the room. The kitchen and bathroom are shared spaces with your hosts, Bridgett and Michael, and their two cats.
The room is located in a welcoming apartment with wood floors and exposed brick, situated on the 3rd floor of a walk-up building (stairs only, no elevator). I am a vintage collector, so the decor is eclectic and ever-changing. The room has a very private feel as you will have your own outer hallway entrance into the room. The apartment is home to your two hosts, with the bathroom and kitchen areas being shared. There is a closet in the room to store your belongings. The room faces Nostrand Avenue, a main Brooklyn thoroughfare, so you will hear some sounds from passing cars and pedestrians. This is typical for popular areas of Brooklyn that also have fast and easy access to the rest of the city. The apartment and room itself are very serene and we provide many amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.
Bed-Stuy is a quickly changing and evolving neighborhood located in a perfect spot for accessing Manhattan as well as other exciting neighborhoods in Brooklyn. Your stay here will give you a very authentic view of what it feels like to be a resident in an eclectic Brooklyn neighborhood. I have lived in this neighborhood for 7 years and know the area well. • This air bnb was absolutely perfect for us to stay in. The apartment room had everything and more that you could need, and was very comfortable. It comes exactly as it was advertised. They were very accommodating with everything, and when it came to check in and check out times they let us stay until we needed. They were wonderful with communication, anytime I had a question I got a very quick response. They are very friendly and greeted us right away. I would definitely recommend this air bnb to everyone looking to stay in New York!

  • Great location to explore Brooklyn and about a 40m subway ride to Manhattan! Perfect location for someone looking to stay just outside Manhattan but still have a New York experience. We really enjoyed our short weekend stay!

  • Great place! Very helpful host and great snacks!

  • Michael and Bridgette have a beautifully vintage decorated clean space. I definitely recommend it for couples or people staying for business or even leisurely. It is close enough to the city but not enough to hear noises and crowds at night. The room has its own entrance and is filled with everything you need including a mini-fridge, microwave, water filter, coffee, tea, snacks, plenty of guides around the city, shampoo/conditioner and air conditioning. I felt like I was at home and it was a very pleasant stay as a couple. Can't recommend enough!

  • Very close to the subway, with restaurants nearby!

  • Bridgett's place is absolutely beautiful. She equipped it with everything you might need during your stay. The neighborhood is pretty hip and feels pretty safe even at night. The train is super close by and the room has it a own entrance which is soooo convenient. Thank you guys! :) A+++

  • Bridgett and Michael were wonderful, very kind and helpful. Their home is so cool, and the neighbourhood is great! Manhattan is just a subway away.

  • Mark's place is great, really lovely, quiet part of NY but still close enough to subways etc so you can get anywhere easily. Mark's communication was spot on, he was always contactable and helped us out booking our taxi etc. This place is perfect for a quick stop in NYC, it's not very spacious so probably best for short trips.

    Mark2017-09-03T00:00:00Z

  • Mark is a great host, easy to comunicate with and gives a warm welcome. He was very flexible with my checking in and out. It was exactly what I needed for one night, good location, and a place to put my head - nothing fancy. The room is the living room separated by a folding screen, it does the trick.

    Yaya2018-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Mark was great! Very warm and welcoming. Everything was clean and ready for me when I arrived, and he explained all about the apartment. Nice host. I would stay again.

Art school Pratt is cross the street, make this neighborhood safe and convenient. At the top(6th) floor, you could see the most beautiful manhattan skyline from our private balcony. Restaurants, bars, supermarket downstairs. Bus stop at my main entrance. Near manhattan bridge, very close to downtown manhattan!
Note: this is a living room space with room divider- curtains. A 1300 sq feet 2 bdr 2 bathrooms apt.
  • Awesome stay. Tracy's place is amazing value for NYC/BKN area. Very clean apartment, comfortable bed, amazing view. Tracy's was great with communication and flexible with check in. Tracy's was perfect for a quick one night stay.

  • It is a wonderful place, I highly recommend this space. Thanks for everything Tracy. Cheers .

    Martin2018-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Tracy’s apt has wonderful light and is in a great neighborhood. She is a responsive host and made an effort to accommodate my needs. I liked staying here very much.

    Shauna2018-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Tracy's place was more than described. It was very clean and organized. Traffic was also good and there were variety kinds of stores around. Plus, Tracy was really kind host, she always tried to help me in any situation. So, I strongly recommend here. Thank you!

    Heejung2017-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • I love how the shower is cleaned everyday. Literally felt like hotel service; trash is taken out, hair is drained, floor mat is hung to dry. I’m a sensitive sleeper so I did wake up to the tiniest noise but they really try to be quiet and respectful. Responses were quick and everything I needed was provided, couldn’t imagine anything better especially with the price!

    Ayesha2018-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • I had a pleasant stay at Tracy's place. Everything was clean and the view from the balcony is stunning!

    Flemming2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • When I walked in, everything was just like the pictures but seemed much more spacious. Very clean, yet warm and inviting! There were other guests but everyone was very respectful of each others space and it was very quiet. I was only there for a couple of days but my short time there was comfortable. The apartment is above a restaurant/club but I never heard much coming from there. The streets are busy during the day and pretty much empty at night. Lots of shops and eating spots around, bus stops right outside or just a few blocks away. Tracy responds very quickly and is really helpful. Overall, I enjoyed my stay!

    Ryann2017-12-05T00:00:00Z

My place is good for couples, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups. In a beautiful renovated building located in a old bottling factory, right in the beginning of The Museum Mile, just three blocks away from the greatest Central Park. This house was the collaboration of dream team and know you can joy us. Manhattan is your new destination and we offer a very warm and beautiful accommodation for you.
  • It was a nice space, but a little unexpected as we stayed with Marilyn's mum (flat below Marilyn's) who slept in the Living room, while the other two rooms were rented out. Our room was a good size and we had an en-suite which was great, though the road is a little noisy, but nothing too bad. Overall it is a good place to stay for how cheap it is compared to other places in NYC.

    Fiona And Russell2018-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • What an awesome space. Perfect for a stay in New York! It was only a couple blocks from Central Park in one direction and a couple blocks from the subway in the other direction. The place was spotless and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft. If you're a light sleeper I'd suggest ear plugs because of the train, but I slept GREAT! Try the taco place just down the street, amazing! This was my first real experience with an Airbnb and it was great. My husband and I walked around the neighborhood late at night and never once felt unsafe. If you're looking for a great Airbnb you've found it. Thank you!

    Annie2018-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • The host did a really bad job in communicating when to pick up the keys. This meant that I had to leave my dinner midway because the host was going out in the night which I got to know only after I called her. The bathroom door did not close easily and we were not even provided soap or a body wash for bathing. The bedroom and the bathroom was very clean however. Overall, I wasn't really satisfied with my stay.

    Vinay2018-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn's Airbnb was just as expected: relatively clean with a private bathroom and room. The host does live in the living space, but she is very friendly and kind. Marilyn only speaks french and english, but tries her best to communicate with you through her daughter. I would suggest messaging in the airbnb app a few days before your stay so that there is ample time for her daughter to respond and give you the logistics. They were both very friendly and accommodating!

    Vanessa2018-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a good time and stay at Marilyn's place. One morning we were offered a rich and tasty breakfast! Our room and bathroom were clean and we had clean sheets and towels provided. The host is very friendly and the whole apartment looks good. When we checked out Marilyn was kind enough to let us keep our luggage in the apartment for a few more hours. The only inconvenient is that during the night the bedroom is a bit noisy due to outside traffic. I believe this is an issue with the whole building. You get used to it after a few nights though :)

    Paul2018-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Were it not for the noise from downstairs, everything else was perfect, after a long day in NYC, you are probably tired enough to knock out inspite of the noise. Good location and easy access to Metro. Halal food options close by as well. Short steps to access bedroom.

    Khuzaima2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a good room with full bath at a great price for manhattan

  • Very good apartment and hostess! The location is fantastic, it is a family building and the apartment is bigger than a hotel room. Everything was clean and all the messages to the owner were quickly responded. Thank yo Hillary for receiving my family in your loving apartment.

  • This apartment was a perfect base to explore NYC. It was in a lovely area of midtown manhattan with lots of local eateries in the vicinity and walking distance to Times. Sq and the subway. Apartment was comfortable and clean and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Would happily recommend this place to stay. The host was more than helpful in ensuring we got the keys and everything went smoothly.

    Nicki2013-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great directions, great location!

    Scott2015-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • We visited NYC during an extremely cold period. Hilary was friendly and welcoming and showed us the apartment on our arrival. There were instructions for everything we needed, from how to use the TV to the location of the nearest convenience store. Excellent Wi-Fi. The neighbourhood is terrific, in the heart of Midtown and walking distance to so many iconic locations. It felt safe and secure. The apartment is very small, no bigger than a standard hotel room. For our trip it ticked the key boxes - warm, a comfy bed and a very good shower. It could use a little TLC. The ceiling in the living area leaked water one morning which worried us a bit. Hilary assured us it is being fixed very soon. The seals around the bathroom taps/faucets need replacing but it all worked fine. It was useful to have a fridge and clean crockery and cutlery, a nice touch. Not a lot of storage space for clothes but we had loads of bulky winter gear so I expect this is more of a problem in the winter months. The only downside for us was the noise level - and this is outside Hilary's control. The walls of the apartments are paper thin and one of the neighbours has yappy dogs. And when they yap, she hollers at them. This neighbour was also prone to lengthy, and sweary, phone calls in the early hours which I slept through but kept my husband awake. The windows don't have double glazing - sirens and car horns are a constant noise - but that's city living and I didn't mind. Overall we really enjoyed staying at the Penthouse and I would recommend staying here.

    Angela2015-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect location for a NYC getaway! We walked to Central Park, took a quick Uber to a Broadway show and Times Square. Enjoyed the private rooftop balcony! The space is very chic and cozy. Highly recommend!

  • Michael is fantastic and Haarlem more that we could have hoped for. The apartment was cosy and authentic, our home away from home. We loved coming home to it every night after hectic first timers days downtown. The restaurants and vibe in Haarlem was one of the highlight of our NY experience. Did I say Michael is fantastic?

  • Great place Great location Great host

    Craig2018-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Michael truly was a super host! Best Airbnb host I have ever experienced. Had the place loaded with snacks! He had an extra heater for the place. He filled the fridge with bottles of water, donuts, waffles, and OJ! We were beyond impressed. He gave us tips and a map. The place is great for 4, if you don’t mind sharing a bed with another person. Close to the subway, about a 20 min walk to Central Park. It was perfect! We loved it and were so thankful to have been able to stay here!

The apartment is centrally located in prime Hell's Kitchen, walking distance from Times Square, Central Park, and dozens of amazing restaurants. You will have the entire bottom floor of this NYC duplex to yourself, including a half bathroom (toilet and sink), queen size bed, pull out couch (bed #2), and TV. Upstairs there is a full kitchen, living room area, and full bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower) which is shared with the host.
Nearby destinations include: Times Square- 12 minute walk Theater District- 15 minute walk Rockefeller Center- 15 minute walk Central Park- 15 minute walk Columbus Circle- 15 minute walk
  • Location was great and Michael was friendly and was a great host. Only a few steps up into building then elevator down to the guest quarters (easy access). The room got a bit hot when the heater in the building got turned on for the cold weather. Michael was receptive to adding a few hooks in the bathroom :).

    Sharon2017-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Good space, with a half bath. Very good location close from a lot of restaurants. Totto Ramen is only 100 mts away! 400 mts from subways 1000 mts from times square. Central Park is also walking distance. It's in a basement so there's no much natural light if that's what you are looking for... I had a couple of cockroach, but it's NYC it's expected, we bought some tramps in CVS and that was it. Mike is very easy to comunicate with and the main shower as well as the kitchen was always available. The room/loft was clean and with everything you need for a stay. Towels, soap, paper, coffee machine, tv, and so. Overall, I recomend the place.

  • This was our first stay at an airbnb and it was great. The apartment was in a perfect location in near Times Square and was exactly as described. We got good communication and follow up to help make sure our arrival was smooth. The apartment was spacious and clean, and had good amenities -wifi, tv and coffee machine. Mike was friendly and welcoming, gave us some good restaurant suggestions and helped us with a late check as we were only leaving in the evening. We had a great stay.

  • Michael is a great host, very friendly, helpful and full of local knowledge. The room is spacious, with a toilet and basin, and on the lower level down some stairs. The kitchen and bathroom upstairs are available and shared with Michael. The area is safe and in easy walking distance to the abundant local amenities on and near 8th Ave. I recommend Michael's place if you want to stay in that part of Manhattan.

Fully equipped kitchen and private bathroom. • Jay's place was great. A lovely studio which didn't feel small! Great location for exploring New York. Jay was really accommodating of our check in time and check out was very simple. Overall loved our stay and loved New York! Would stay there again if back in the city.

    Anna2017-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, extremely walkable, restaurants and (Email hidden by Airbnb) fortable king size bed and cool brick wall that gave it an authentic NYC feel. Apartment is very old and the kitchen and bathroom are small and not updated. There were some outlets that didn't work and a broken lamp, plus our toilet ran the whole time. Overall, a good place to stay if you want to be central and don't plan on hanging out in the apartment.

    Alex2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place is in a great location and was very comfortable to come home to after long days of exploring. The internet speed, water pressure, and bed were all above par in my opinion - three of the most important things to a traveler! Keep in mind when packing that it is up four flights of narrow stairs and that this is smack in the middle of NYC - if you're a light sleeper you might want ear plugs!

    Cinnamon2016-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jay's location is what makes this perfect for anyone looking to get the most of the city! He was very helpful from the time we booked to the end of our stay. Recommend booking his place if your looking for a cute apartment right in the middle of everything! Would stay again.

  • We had a great time and stay in New York! We would definitely stay in this place on our next visit! Thank you!

  • Jase accommodated us at very short notice when we had a problem with our other accomodation. His place is so centrally located it was great - just a 5 minute walk to Times Square, Broadway musicals and Madison Square garden! Great juice place downstairs for brekkie and laundry across the road.

Our bright, spacious master bedroom is the ideal retreat after a long day of exploring New York City. With easy access to Times Square and Citi Field, guests will enjoy all the major attractions the city has to offer, as well as the warmth and cultural diversity of a true New York neighborhood.
Located in the most culturally diverse part of New York City, our home is warm, inviting, and peaceful. We have three wonderful pets; Ximena the dog, and Charlie and Stella the cats. They are super friendly and eager to meet you!
Just a short train ride from Manhattan, Elmhurst is considered one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the world. Home to immigrants from Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Europe, one can literally hear a different language spoken on every corner. While still firmly a part of the city, Elmhurst is largely residential and has a more relaxed pace than the hustle and bustle of Manhattan.
  • Brooke and her husband Elias were great hosts. On the first evening of our stay, even after we arrived two hours late, they took us out to eat in Astoria. Another evening, us coming home really tired and exhausted, Brooke made us great salad and pasta. Their apartment is located in a very exciting ethnically diverse neighborhood, which impressed especially our children. So, if you want to experience a truly unique mix of Latino, Asian and Indian culture, this is the place for you! Our room accommodated 4 people without a problem!

    Brian2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The room was lovely and exactly like the pictures. Brooke was very easy to reach and was considerate of our comfort throughout our stay. Having the mini fridge in the room was a real bonus and much appreciated. The apartment was easy to get to and only a short walk from the subway. We were often coming home late at night after seeing a play and never had a problem. The bathroom was clean and fresh and the room was spotless. I wish we had more opportunity to chat but our travel plans seemed to have us at opposite schedules but Brooke and her husband were a lovely couple.

    Sandra2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Brooke and Elias were the great hosts. Also their pets are so lovely and friendly.I was comfortable the whole time. Thank you so much.

  • As expected room was very spacious, clean and comfortable in a quiet Hispanic neighbourhood in Queens. Brooke and Elias (and Oscar) were more than accommodating - she even picked me up from a restaurant to allow early check in. There is access about 7 min to the M and R (Manhattan) and 5 min on the 7 ( to flushing where tennis centre is and the science centre at 111st). It's about 40-45 minutes to get where you want in Manhattan depending time of day weekend closures etc. if you can read a map (it is a bit complicated at first) have a bit of a sense of adventure it's a perfect spot. Great!

    Peter2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Communication was really great (with Rebecca, Brooke’s sister). Brooke was very nice and her place is clean and comfortable. Very spacious room! Great location for an alternative to Manhattan. About 5 minutes walk to metro and about 30 minutes to Times Square. Great stay!

    Rosie2018-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Brooke was awesome!! The room was just as it appears in the photos, the pets were very friendly and it was a nice private stay. The neighbourhood was also very cool. It gave us the opportunity to see a different area of New York - plus there was a great Thai place on the main drag. Would definitely recommend staying here.

    Jordan2016-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Brooke and her husband were very accommodating although our flight was delayed and got to the apartment late in the night; they able to get us set up in a couple mins. Everything is as described and their pets were very cute and well mannered. We were out the majority of the days we spent in NYC and would take the subway in and out of queens as they are only a couple blocks away. We were able to get around the boroughs very easily and LGA is only 15 mins away in car/ 30 on the subway. The room is stocked with toiletries and towels, also the A/C is very appreciated as it was a very hot weekend. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Apartment share on a quiet street in a lively neighborhood, this 2nd-fl walk-up is just blocks from NYU, Washington Sq Pk, SoHo, and Lower East Side. Grab Michelin-rated sushi or $3 PBRs within 50 feet (15 m) of the front door. East Village diversity at its finest.
Your large bedroom has a queen size mattress with a memory foam topper that is very comfortable. There's also a full-size air mattress for one extra guest. The room gets a lot of light from the large windows. The curtains and blinds keep it nice and dark at night. You will have access to the living room, kitchen, and bathroom. There is wi-fi, an Apple TV, cable TV and everything you need to feel right at home. The bedroom faces a rear courtyard, so street noise is minimal to non-existent. You may hear an occasional garden party. If they get too loud, let me know and I'll take care of it.
The East Village is socially and culturally diverse without being pretentious. New York's immigrant origins, 70s punk scene, and current food renaissance all energetically coexist in the East Village like nowhere else in Manhattan. You can seriously get Michelin-rated sushi or three-dollar PBRs within 50 feet (15 m) of the front door. Its residents, an unlikely mix of businesspeople, artists, laborers, designers, and nomads anachronistically make themselves at home among Old New York's Gilded Age and Pre-war brick-and-stone architectural hand-me-downs. Midtown's steel-and-glass landscape and the West Village's yuppie homogeneity haven't invaded the East Village...yet.
  • Sne is a five-star host. He greeted me warmly, carried my bags, and offered terrific restaurant recommendations. He also kept me engaged in wonderful conversation. He made a quick trip to NYC very memorable.

    Lanita2016-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Sne is the MAN! His guests before us checked out at 4am and my girlfriend and I were arriving at 8am just to drop off our bags. Sne stayed up all morning to get our room prepared and was nice enough to allow us to check in a few hours early. Since our flight was a red eye, we took a 4 hour snooze in the comfy bed and explored the east village in the afternoon. In the evening, we enjoyed the scenery on the rooftop of the apartment where Sne gave us some really great advice on what to check out on our three day stay. Sne also has this awesome mini guidebook that also gets into detail of what to check out. The apartment is extremely close to all public transportation stations that will take you anywhere you want to go in New York. Our stay with Sne was awesome and we couldn't have been happier staying at his clean pristine apartment. Next time I'm in NY, I'm definitely staying at Sne's.

    Kim2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Sne's place! He was very friendly and welcoming and had a lot of useful tips for our trip in New York. I can definitely recommend staying at his place and would book it again, if I come back to New York some day.

    Peter2018-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Sne was an insanely gracious host! He welcomed us with fresh brewed coffee and a brochure explaining the lay of the land of the apartment and surrounding neighborhood. He gave us an awesome recommendation for brunch, and helped plan the rest of a great itinerary. In terms of the apartment itself, could not have asked for more - spacious, immaculately clean, and the common space was welcoming but our room was private. Great deal in a top notch neighborhood with the best AirBnb host yet!

    Jesse2015-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay at Sne. Helped with my luggage and gave me the tour of the place. Very respectful of your space but always open, easygoing. Enjoyed our talks, shared some beers, and some nice single origin beans. Makes a great grilled cheese with a hint of bacon – which is always good – and equally great homebrew pickle juice. The room is great, very big for NYC & very quiet – slept so well. And now there’s a table by the window for those of you that need to get work done. Lovely tree lined street in the EV with some really good spots for food and drinks within a few blocks. Sne also has some great recommendations and knows the area really well – knew the exact corner of subway station or restaurants. Checkout was a breeze, carried my luggage again and even hailed a cab for me. Will be back!

  • Perfect little hideaway in a cosy apartment (the AirBnB room was exactly as on the pictures). We slept really well w/o earplugs, surprisingly quiet! Sne is a great host, not superficial but rather authentic, easy to chat to about any topic.

My place is close to Achor Coffee, Kafe Louverture, Bohaus, and Tree House bar. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance in a nicely redone old brick Bed-Stuy building. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Bedford-Stuyvesant, popularly known as Bed-Stuy (sounds like: Bed-Sty), is located in central Brooklyn and nudges up against ultra-hip Williamsburg. A historic neighborhood that boasts both pristine brownstones and unkempt storefronts, generations-old Bed-Stuy residents share their streets with newcomers and hip kids. That's the Airbnb Neighborhood Guide and I'd say it's almost on-point, but the locus of artistic activity has shifted to Bed-Stuy and Bushwick from Williamsburg, to a large extent. This migration has brought an influx of new businesses and retail, and there are lots of new coffee shops and restaurants opening up, as well as local stalwarts that have been here for years. I'd encourage you to take a look at the Guidebook to see recommended destinations in the area.
  • I just wasn’t comfortable at all. There were no locks on the bedroom doors and I felt like I was being watch all the time while in the place. I asked about a television and got a smart ass response.

    Karen2018-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • The room is clean, bed is comfortable, the location is good for people have car, it is not close to subway so normally wherever I go I took the uber, if u want to take public transportation to visit NY, it may not convenience for u. Also the room is a little bit cold because the heating wasn’t working well

    Yongyi2017-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Ava was a very gracious host, sending me messages to update me and answer my questions. I liked the clean minimalist look of her place, and the little pieces of art and quotes which give her place character. The room looks as depicted, and it was comfortable for my stay. It was a little small, but understandable for NY living standards. Room also smells fragrant, and was well heated for the winter weather. I was grateful that she allowed me to leave my bag outside of the bedroom since I did some exploring on the day that I checked out. If I come back to NY, I would consider staying here again. Thanks Ava!

  • By renting this space, you gain access to one of three rooms in a Brooklyn apartment. The three rooms are all available to rent on airbnb. I did not meet the host during this stay. This apartment was very clean and spacious. The Bed-Stuy room was very small, but we only slept there so it was no problem. We had our own set of keys and access to the kitchen and bathroom. The location is not the best - it took us about 45 -55 minutes to travel to this apartment from Manhattan (it is a 15-20 minute walk from the closest subway stop). As I said before, this apartment and room were spotless. The bed was a full-size cot/futon that wasn't that comfortable, but for our short stay, it did the trick. My biggest complaint is that the individual bedrooms do not have locks. The keys are for the front entrance and apartment door only. I would have felt a lot more comfortable locking my belongings in the bedroom during our long days in Manhattan. Our roommates were very pleasant and nonintrusive, but with strangers, you never know if someone will go in when you are not there or even steal your stuff! Overall our stay was comfortable, pleasant, clean, and quiet!

    Alexandra2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • I needed a place for the night while on business. The room was perfect and easy to get to and from Brooklyn. Easy place to park and use transit.

    J.M.2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ana's place is exatly as described, super clean and needs everything you need either for a long- or short-time stay. It is easy to check in and check out (check out is at 11am). We haven't actually seen Ava but she was easy to communicate with. The only thing to watch out that you will be sharing the flat with other people who stayed there on airbnb and doors do not lock so we did not feel particularly comfortable. It takes 15-20 min to get to the staion but this is a very easy walk. You will find a few bars and food places on the main avenue where the flat is. We felt safe there when we walked to the station in the morning but the evning before we got off at Myrtle avenue and it was slighly uncomfortable - a lot of people dropping litter on the street, shouting etc.. Again it might be Friday night (Fri night can be crazy anywhere!). We went to a different staion in the morning and it was a completely different place. This is certainly a good value for money and I would recommend it.

  • Great stay at Avas! Very clean and well explained inside! We had a great time in Brooklyn and this thanks to the nice flat. Only negative point was the bed, a bit small for 2 people to be honest, but nothing else to say! Many cool bars and restaurants in the area.

My spacious two-bedroom home has everything you need for your NYC trip. On the first floor, but set above street level, I am offering two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen with a dining/living area, plus ROKU tv, WIFI, and washer/dryer. While Brooklyn is very large, I am walking distance to several major train/bus routes that run into Manhattan for all the popular sites: Freedom Tower, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Times Square. There is so much culture and excitement to be experienced!
Both bedrooms are very quiet, as they are located in the rear of the house. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the second bedroom has a twin size bed. The new bathroom has a large shower, but no tub, with strong water pressure. The kitchen/living/dining area are set in an open plan setup. French doors that open to a sunroom separate open plan kitchen/dining/living area. The sunroom is shared with me who has my own entrance. It is stocked with many types of plants to create a truly alive and lush area. Cats and one dog have and continue to live on this site. They live with the host an do sit in the shared sunrooms. No matter how much preparation, if you are sensitive to pets this place is probably isn't the best choice.
The Highland Park section of East New York has a very suburban feel. I am very close to Upper Highland Park which sits on the highest elevation of Brooklyn. It has a more 'open' feel. But, like the suburbs the evenings are very quiet.
  • Graziella was very nice and efficient. The place is clean and warm feeling. There are alot of plants which makes for a fresh home . The nieghborhood, however, felt somewhat threatening so be careful at night walking to and from the train. Overall, it is a good place to stay. Thanks Graziella!!

  • This is a great house to stay. The house has a washing machine, and dryer, this is the best that you can find in Brooklyn, you will not need to go to Laundromat. Very stylish Kitchen. All furniture from Ikea. Excellent stove for cooking. Nice comfortable bath. There is a coffee maker for coffee lovers. There are all the dishes that you may need for cooking. You can live like at home and do not care about anything. Everything is already provided. Convenient area, everything is close, to the metro station 15 minutes walk. You will love this place. Graziella Very responsive hostess, helped us a lot in everything. Even when we moved, she sent us mail to a new address. We are very grateful for her help.

  • Graziella is very nice and considerate, also very helpful on suggestions for first time new york visiting. The place is big and close to the train station, which is very convenient to explore Manhattan. I also have mention one thing, I left my key at Graziella's place, she found it and sent to me right away. If you travel, it would always be a good choice staying in places owned by a kind lady.

  • My boyfriend and I loved staying at Alexandra’s studio! It’s a great space and very conveniently located in the Upper East side near the 72nd st metro. It’s a ground floor flat so sometimes at night there’s some noise, but generally the area is residential and the air conditioning is a life saver in the summer heat! Would highly recommend Alexandra’s apartment for couples :-)

  • Miao is an excellent host. He was there to greet us when we arrived 4 hours later than expected! He explained the local neighborhood and transport connections to Manhattan. The apartment is very well connected by the subway, but can take a long time in a taxi - due to the traffic. The apartment is lovely, clean and has every thing you need. The bedroom was a little small, but very comfortable and has its own seating area and TV. The kitchen and living room is communal but it was perfect for us, as we spent most of the time sightseeing. Thank you Miao!!

    Sophie2015-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • My first time using Airbnb, and it was a great first experience. Miaos place was everything I imagined: clean, artsy looking, 5 minute walk to the subway, and he even had the high tech Japanese toilet! He was very friendly and welcoming when I arrived. Also, NY is all about utilizing space and I loved how he did it with room I stayed in. Hopefully when I come back, his place is available ☺️

    Jamie2017-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent time at Miao's place. He was very friendly and happy to help with any accommodations we needed. He also supplied communal tea and coffee which was much appreciated. 5 stars! Would visit again for sure.

  • Miao is a very attentive and helpful host. For example, I needed to go see a doctor and he offered me to use his phone to make an appointment. His place is great and well connected to the city, and naturally it's Also good for exploring Brooklyn :-) Too bad there were road works for about half the duration of my stay and it got quite noisy in my room, but of course this isn't something Miao could've affected. Overall great value for money and I would definitely recommend it!

  • Miao is a perfect host and an interesting personality. The place has a very good location: close to metro station and many shops. It was clean and prepared with great attention to detail for hosting people. We had a superb staying. It was the best AirBnB experience so far.

  • It's the best place to stay ever! Although the room is small compared to our Midwestern standards, it is typical New York size. The accommedations are excellent, modern, and immaculate. Very, very clean Private bathroom and well equipped shared kitchen and light filled living room area. Clear and concise posted written information is provided to answer most questions. Miao makes himself available in person, by phone, text, or email for any concerns or questions about New York. Location to subway to Manhattan and beyond is close and easy to reach. Keys are provided for the room and front door. We felt very safe and cared for here. Miao is meticulous, caring and committed to making his Airbnb a place you will want to back to. We had the best time! We love Miao's place and recommend it highly.

  • Miao was a really helpful and well prepared host. Although he was not at home during our stay he always held contact with us and provided a lot of information. The room and the apartment was also really nice and comfortable for our stay in New York. Everything was really clean and cozy. We felt like home :)

    Michael2016-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time during my stay at Miao's. The apartment is well-decorated and modern, impeccably clean, and well-equipped (toiletries, towels, dishes, a shelf in the fridge, etc.). It also is just a short walk to the subway, making it very easy to access Manhattan. Perhaps more importantly, Miao is an incredibly gracious host. He responds very quickly to messages and was there both to greet me and see me off at the end of my stay. I will definitely consider staying with Miao during my next visit to NYC!

  • We were taking a family trip from AZ to NYC so my daughter could visit some schools and found this place due to its proximity to Columbia/Barnard. Not quite knowing what to expect and even how to get from JFK to the area we had many questions, all of which were answered quickly and accurately. Check in was a breeze and the space is very nice, quite and comfortable. The gift basket upon arrival was a very nice touch! Access to subways is very easy and the neighborhood is a fun mix of past and present...I will say that if you stay here and do not eat at Sylvia's you are missing out! Harlem Coffee Co is very good as well. Check out was as simple as check in and we were on our way!

  • Bozhena's place is lovely! Great location, perfect amount of space to be comfortable for a couple of nights, clean and cozy. The bed is ultra-comfortable and the bathroom/kitchen appliances are all brand-new and in perfect shape. Definitely will stay again!

    India2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Bozhena’s place. Easy check-in and communication was not a problem. We fell in love with the apartment and would definitely stay again if we visit New York for a second time. Subway is only a 5 min walk and conveniently located to a couple of drugs stores, bars and restaurants in Harlem. There’s an amazing authentic Italian pizza restaurant only a couple of blocks away named Sottocasa, by far the best pizza I’ve had in NY. It’s a must try if staying in Bozhena’s place.

  • We enjoyed staying at this apartment as it was clean and comfortable and easy to get in and out of the centre of New York. Would recommend anyone staying here if they don't mind not being right in the centre of the city. Harlem has a lot to offer as well.

  • The place is nice for two adults and two kids (queen and full beds).

This is a Private Bedroom in Manhattan!!
New Update: Premium bed. Bed is not soft in the middle and hard on the ends. You will not sink into the bed. Bed is comfortable and expensive. No headboard and footboard so you can easily get out of bed without waking person sleeping next to you. New York is exciting and in this apartment you can meet people from all over the world. I have INSTANT BOOK so there is no need to ask if the place is available. If it is free on the calendar then it is free for booking. Also the price is exactly what comes up when you enter your desired dates. Best deal on Airbnb Manhattan! I live in the apartment and you will live here also. I have many guests giving me their input and I have everything from rubbing alcohol to band-aids to scissors. Do not go to a hotel where you must purchase all these items at an expensive gift shop. Your room is live in ready. Please let me know if you need me to purchase any items before your stay. Many travel plugs, so your devices will work in the room. Two surge protectors (not power strips) so you can plug in all your devices without a fire. Older iPhone / iPad charger. Newer iPhone / iPad charger. Android / blackberry charger. John Frieda Salon Quality Full Volume Dryer with many attachments so you can dry your hair quickly and professionally without a fire. Large full sized mirror. Tupperware to preserve your food in the fridge. The 24 hour express subway line can get you anywhere you need to be in the city within 10 to 15 minutes. • Joe is very accomodating and flexible with time for checking in and out. Location is perfect for an overnight stay in town. Highly recommend!

    Federico2013-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great host! Very clean room with updates and all the necessities. It is an urban neighborhood in the Big City; between subway lines (I preferred the one West of the apt) and lots of conveniences nearby.

    G2014-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was nice and joe is a good owner pretty nice! He always take care of me during this 2 weeks and also he suggested many nice places to go and see in the city! He also try to find for u a tv show or a musical that u like to see and that s is great! It was a really good experience

    Cristina 2015-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • JJ was friendly and very helpful from helping us with our luggage, providing us with maps and advice on how to get to places. The room itself was adequate, bed was comfy and we were grateful for the earplugs that were provided as the street below was quite noisy. However, the bathroom was filthy and really let down our stay. The sides hadn't been cleaned, there were thick layers of dust on the bin, windowsill and door and there were stains in the shower and on the non slip map. There were two other rooms being rented (which isn't advertised on the site), leaving one bathroom to share between potentially up to 7 people if all booked out, further exasperating the poor bathroom facilities. Access to subways is quick and easy and people in the neighbourhood seemed friendly, although I wouldn't feel safe staying here as a lone female.

    Cirhan2016-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Overall it was a comfortable experience. Loud at night but it's NYC, it's expected. 10/10 would stay here again.

  • Joe was an amazing host! He was so accommodating and helpful. He offered to help carry our stuff when we first got there. If I had a car I would've stayed at his apartment another 2 days. It's an awesome apartment and he maintains it very well. I definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a comfortable environment to stay in.

  • The purpose of my trip to New York was to go apartment hunting. It was the 2nd time I had ever been to the city. Joe was great. He gave me detailed directions on how to get into the city from the airport. Provided a nice clean room with all of the essentials. He also gave me great advice on apartment hunting in the city. I'm also thankful for the voucher he gave to go to the Live show for America's Got Talent - it was nice to have something free and touristy to do in the mist of my hectic schedule for the week.

  • JJ is a wonderful host. He showed us around then disappeared for the rest of our stay. The place is tidy & efficient. The bed is comfortable & the water pressure in the shower is strong. It is close to the A train & located in a safe area.
