HASERA is an organic farm and farmstay. We're new on Airbnb, but we've been hosting guests for 12+ years! We offer homegrown organic food, amazing view of the Himalayas, and so much more! During your stay you'll stay with us in our farm, where we'll work, learn, and eat together, as a farm/family experience. We've already hosted people from more than 91 countries of the world! Please go through our website (organichasera.org/) to learn more about us and our Farmstay program.
HASERA is a certified Organic Farm, a Farmstay and a Permaculture Learning Center. We host students & travellers willing to learn about Nepali lifestyle, organic agriculture, and Permaculture. We offer a peaceful stay, great ambiance away from the city, with opportunity to learn to learn about Permaculture, organic agriculture, Nepali culture, lifestyle and ecology through immersion. A wide himalayan range is also visible closely from the farm. We also conduct brief and detailed courses on Permaculture for Nepali and international participants. More than 90% of the food served in the farm is organic and from the farm itself.
The farm sits isolated above a community forest, just a minute from the BP highway. The Namobuddha Monastery is just an hour's walk away, and there are enjoyable walks around the nearby communities.
  • Cannot complain about the cold that we live here in winter, cos theBigyen’s family is so hospitality and the breathtaking view of the snow mountains. We took a hiking to Namobuddha, it was around 1.5 hours by walk one way, you will never forget the views along the road, and whats add more meaning of the Bigyen home! Bigyen’s family offered us very local and nutritious food. Thank you.

  • I had the most relaxing and lovely stay here at Hasera. The hosts are amazing people who treat you like family. The guesthouse is located atop a hill overlooking the valley with the Himalayas in the backdrop. Mithou's meals were definitely a highlight! So delicious that even when full I kept saying yes to extra. I highly recommend staying here, it was a much needed break after the craziness of Kathmundu. The views and hospitality will make you wish you can stay here forever!

    Pa Dong2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to experience breath taking views, eat delicious food, and connect with wonderful people... This is the place to go!

    Griffin2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Hasera was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, and a memory I will keep with me forever. The warmth and hospitality that Bigyan and his family share with you will leave you feeling like you are truly at home and a part of the family. While the lodging and rooms are on the more basic side, the views, the hospitality, and the food (all organic, all vegetarian!) will absolutely outweigh any luxury you might be missing if you're accustomed to more posh living quarters. I will always be jealous of anyone who gets an opportunity to stay here. You will not regret it.

    Tres2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Hasera farm exceeded all my expectations! We got to stay there for 5 nights as apart of a volunteer trip with my employer Whole Foods Market. The Sharma family is incredible. We learned so much about permaculture, ate the best food grown right there on the farm, and enjoyed the true experience of rural Nepal. I hope to come back again soon.

    Kimberly2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Hasera is a very special place and I highly recommend. Bigyan and his family are the kindest people you will ever meet. The location is breathtaking and the rooms are comfortable and roomy. You will have an amazing view of the mountains no matter where you are on the property, but make sure to walk to the rooftop. You will never go hungry and it will be the best food you have ever had. The flavors, wow, farm to table traditional Nepalese. By far the best meals I had during my stay in Nepal.

    Sandy2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice location and places. You learn a lot from permaculture. The ambiance is really nice. I have been directly well welcoming. The food is amazing. I highly recommended this place. I felt like home well surrender! Have fun ;)

    Camille2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Hasera farm was wonderful. After a day of visiting Namobuddha which is just a walking hour away from the farm, we were warmly welcomed by Bigyan and his father. They cooked us some delicious meal made of their local vegetables. The next morning, we woke up to the breath taking view of the Himalayas. Again, we had some delicious fruits for breakfast. We also got to learn about the basics of a sustainable agriculture and to visit the farm. This a really interesting part of the stay, because you get to learn some tips about starting a garden where the plants will grow in harmony.

  • I was very well welcomed by Ujamwal, the son of Uttam, who is very kind. Hostel very well located to see the Himalayas, just 5 minutes walk (we do not see the Himalayas of the hostel). Hot water and wifi. I plan to return at the end of my stay in Nepal to visit their school and their home village. Thanks again for everything !

  • Uttam Raj was a very polite nice and fun host. He was very friendly and always helpful. If you wanted dinner, you could, in any case cheaper than in the restaurant or if you cook yourself. He and his son are excellent quivers There was hot water to take a shower. The location was wonderful, you could go for a walk and the Admire or to Himalayan chain Kali Temple are running. Incidentally, Dhulikhel is a very clean city. We were very happy with everything and we can recommend to everyone.

  • The Innate Pension is a cute, warm, red brick house, cozily nested on top a small hill in the quiet part of Dhulikhel. From the terrace you can see a gorgeous view of the snowy Himalayan peaks and the dal baht served by Uttam and his son are among the best you can have in all of Nepal. Upon arrival, the feeling as a guest is quickly replaced with that of a long lost relative returning home. I have never been taken better care of or felt more at home I will be back!

    Jason2019-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Uttam is a great host and a great cook. The room is comfy and Uttam provided a small heater. The guesthouse has a nice sunny rooftop but no direct mountains view. You can start nice treks around the guesthouse. Much recommend for a Nepali family experience.

    Benjamin2019-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • It was a real pleasure to stay here. Uttamji arranged a collection for me from the busstop and back the next morning. He gave me tips on local things to see. He provided a delicious dinner (with vegetables from the garden) and it was great to here about the school he runs in his village and volunteering opportunities there. The shower is nice and hot!

    Shilpa2019-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Uttam and his children are very hospitable and kind to their guests. It’s very calm place with a beautiful garden and amazing view just two minutes walk from your room. Enjoy!

  • Neat and tidy place Nice dinner and breakfast Good location for Kali Temple, just around 30 minutes. Welcoming host who proposed to bring us to the temple to watch sunrise and lend us jacket as we didn't bring enough. The shower of the bathroom got enough hot water but is of slow stream.

    Sandy2018-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our one month stay at Innate Pension! Uttam and his family are warm, kind people who take great care of their guests. They are also a lot of fun! The space is nice - big rooms, outdoor patios, a roof top, and a kitchen. Uttam is extremely knowledgable about travel in Nepal, and will offer suggestions. He goes out of his way to help his guests. Breakfast is included, and they serve lunch and dinner for a small fee. The food is good and the company is, too! The place is clean and they have a huge garden where they pick much of the ingredients for their meals. We also had the opportunity to visit his home village of Saping during Tihar, a big holiday, which was a wonderful and meaningful experience! If you want to spend time in a lovely Nepali town for a while, or if you want to just spend a day or two to see the huge Buddha, the Kali Temple lookout, and/or hike to the Namo Buddha monastery, we highly recommend Innate Penion! Oh, and just a few meters away there is a breathtaking view of the Himalayas on a clear day! We really miss Uttam and his family and their wonderful guest house and will hopefully return some day! They made us feel like family!

  • Located very close to the entrance to hike up to the temple about 5 minutes. About a 20-30 min walk from the city centre. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly and answered all my questions and gave suggestions for hiking routes.

  • Uttam and his family will undoubtedly welcome any traveler who is lucky enough to discover Innate Pension. This homely guest house is only a 10 minute walk from the 1,000 steps of Dhulikhel and the gateway to trekking trails. After each of our busy days, we came "home" to a yummy meal and great company. Thank you Uttam and Family!

  • The Uttam family offers great service, the accommodation is not far from the town, with great views, quiet environment, friendly landlord and landlord daughter, providing information about the current situation in Nepal, recommending everyone to Dhulikhel to choose a good place to stay. select!

  • This was one of the really enjoyable and wonderful hostels. The condition of the room was really nice and clean. And the Nepalese traditional food, Dalbat, is the best place to stay. I have always been careful and thoughtful that I spent comfortably and comfortably during my stay. And the host, Tomam, is a teacher in the town called Saiping, so you can visit local villages if you wish and stay there.

    Hyeonu2017-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Namaste, Uttam. Words can't describe how much worthwhile to stay in Innate Pension. It is absolutely a warmest home that you can find after your own house. Helpful & kind host that you would never meet in any other places. Delicious local foods are prepared everyday & enjoyed the meals together with Uttam & his family. We would often spent hours in chitchat after finished each meals. That was the most invaluable moment where we can learn the local lifestyle, foods & cultures that you would hardly experience if you're staying at other hotels & guesthouses. I will definitely return to Innate Pension if I'm visit Nepal next time. Hope to see you soon Uttam. Warmest regards, Loy

Quite and peaceful with balcony and a good rooftop very close to the mainroad of the area. Also you can see the sunset from rooftop and a balcony.
  • Staying at Shekhar‘s House was great, the rooms were clean and being able to use a kitchen was great. Shekhar has the best insider tips on what to see in Bhaktapur and his company as well as the company of the other travellers made this stay very special. Would definitely come again!

    Ruby2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Shekhar Guesthouse is a really nice place to stay. I loved the rooftop where you can enjoy a beautiful view over Bakhtapur and if the weather is good you can see the mountains. The rooms are big and clean. Shekhar was very caring, he knows a lot about the cultural aspects which he loves to share with other people. He showed us beautiful places in the city and the surrounding. I had a very good time in Bakhtapur. Thank YOU very much!!

    Elif2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Shekhar's place was perfectly located, quiet, and had an awesome rooftop space for hanging out. He's also a great guy and guide. Stay here.

    Ben2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Shekhar was incredibly hospitable and made me feel completely comfortable and welcome at his place. The location was fantastic for exploring and Shekhar was available for advice and recommendations via Whatsapp the whole time. I especially appreciated his understanding when my bus was delayed and I couldn't make it until the following morning from when I had booked. I was travelling by myself for work, but his place would be fantastic for small groups looking to have a base with kitchen and rooftop to hang out on as well! Definitely recommend!

    Talia2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Shekhars Guest house is very comfortable closed to the best places from Bhaktapur. Very beautiful are the flowers and the roof deck on top of the house, from here you have also best view over the roofs and streets from this lovely town. It was also great to hear from Shekar about the culture, religion, the historic buildings but also the live in his homeland. We have been free to use the kitchen, the washer and it was very comfortable to stay there. Best of all was the cooking lesson, I have enjoyed at my last evening with his lovely family. Just come and look yourself......

    Margit2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • It was truly a great experience to stay at Shekhars place. He shared with me so many interesting details about his country and Bhaktapur and showed me beautiful places of the city, you cannot find without local knowledge. Thanks to him I learned a lot about Bhaktapur. The rooms are very nice, the highlight of Shekhars place is definitely the big terrace with the view over the city and to the hills (I even could see the big mountains in the distance), the kitchen provides everything you need. Dhanyabad, Shekhar for your hospitality!

    Kassandra2019-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Shekar's place is perfect for starting your holidays in nepal. the hoise is just around the beautiful square and the rooftop terace is perfect for chilling out in the evening. • My stay at Ajaya's place far exceeded my expectations. I stayed here at the end of a two week trip in Nepal and I didn't really know what to expect from Bhaktapur but my stay totally blew me away. The space was very wonderfully located just walked distance from the main area in the city, comfortable, clean and offered thoughtful touches that I hadn't yet experienced at other spaces in Nepal. I was welcomed with warm and open arms by the family and they always checked in to make sure I had everything I needed. The huge and delicious breakfast was also a bonus! I am excited to come back and stay here again soon and take advantage of all of the amazing suggestions on local less known adventures they had!

    Jessica2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Ajaya and his family are some of the kindest, warmest, and sweetest people I have ever met. I truly felt like part of his family during my time in Bhaktapur. Ajaya is incredibly knowledgeable of the town and of other parts of Nepal. He graciously provided me with everything I could possibly need during my stay and repeatedly made sure I was okay. He deeply cares for the people who stay at his home and I honestly feel blessed having been there. The bed is comfy, shower is hot, and the included desk and cabinet made organization and getting work done really easy and comfortable. I will 100%. be back here again in the future. Thanks again!

    Novis2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ajaya helped me find the place and made sure I had a warm welcome to Bhaktapur, the house itself is both comfortable and classy, with a private garden. There’s an extensive library about the local culture. Lots of interesting conversations. A worthy end to my stay in Nepal. I recommend!

    Mirjam2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Mr Abaya’s place is just fantastic! I stayed for a week and was amazed by the warm welcome Mr Ajaya and his wife gave me. They were attentive to details such as loaning me their umbrella, providing a water boiler, making warm porridge in the morning, helping me gett around and getting a taxi. Mr Ajaya’s love and knowledge of the history of his city and surroundings is quite communicative. I learned so much, and he always checked with me daily to give me more ideas of places to visit.. He even took me on a private tour of Bhaktapur where he opened my eyes to so many hidden gems! Their home is ideally located just outside of the business of the city, yet at a walking distance from everything, and ez walks or bus/taxi rides from surrounding treasures. It is clean, quiet, and beautiful. I will be back! Thank you again Mr Ajaya!

    Florence2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Extraordinary place in the down town of Bakthapur : hospitality, room, communication,... everything was perfect because of Ajaya, from the begining to the end of my stay. I really recommand it.

    Emmanuelle2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • I extended my stay as the house are lovely, the room is made of woods so even in summer time is not hot and pretty cool! I don’t need to use fan all the time.location is really good and quiet. Ajaya and family are all friendly. Breakfast is big and good however a little bit bored as I stayed 3 nights and ate every day the same, I asked them for help and they never refused my request, so if you have any problem and you always can talk to Ajaya or his family. He is building a yoga hall in the guest house , hopefully other guests can enjoy some yoga sessions in the future. If I will be back to Bhatapur and I will still to choose to stay here. Thanks Ajaya & family!!

    Janice2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • The room was the same as the picture beautiful! Our Apartment is just outside Bhaktapur Durbar Square; which in our opinion, is the most peaceful and beautiful of the three kingdoms. The longer you stay, the more the magic emerges. The apartment sits above our clothing shop that sells naturally dyed and handwoven garments. Clean air and beautiful morning light, a haven from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Our apartment is set in an older Newar style home. It has four floors. The stairs are a bit steep, but worth the climb; still, not so ideal for young children under 5. Our rooftop has amazing views overlooking the ancient square and the hills of Bhaktapur.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square is magical. There are museums and restaurants and it has a great coffee shop serving Himalaya Java ( one of the best in Nepal).
  • A wonderful place in the absolute best location, just in front of the Bhaktapur main Gate. Suni was very kind and there to help for any possible question.

  • This is my first stay in Nepal. It is a wonderful start to this country. The location is very good, the house is clean and bright, and the layout is chic, which is my favorite style. Suni is a gentle girl and very helpful. If I come to Nepal again, I will definitely choose to live in Bardgang. Very good location and Beautiful house. Suni is a very good girl. She was friendly and helpful. Everything is good. Highly Recommend.

    2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful. The location is great for a few days as you can watch the life of Bhaktapur pass by from every room. You don’t even need to leave the house for this. The steep stairs were not a problem. The house was clean, the shower was great. It’s probably worth being aware that if it gets cold you’ll need warm clothes and to rug up....which is exactly what we did..The neighbours are lovely as is the shop owner downstairs. We were very glad to stay there. We stuffed up and arrived a day early and Suni came all the way from Kathmandhu to meet us...despite me offering to stay elsewhere for a night. This was not expected but much appreciated.

    Tienne2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, easy communication and extremely helpful host! Recommended!!

    Dan2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely traditional style apartment (which means fairly steep staircases) just seconds from the centre of old Bhakatapur. Suni, there to greet you, is incredibly helpful and responsive whenever you need. A light airy kitchen/dining room on the top floor is great for winding down at the end of the day. Views from each of the 3 floors overlook the gate into the Durbar Square and heritage architecture. Modern conveniences but with a sense of 'otherness' due to its location, which draws you into the traditional life of the local inhabitants.

  • Sunil's place was a great find. Sunil and his family were very kind throughout my stay. Sunil actually picked me up from my house in KTM to take me to his home- which was beyond nice. The food made by Sunil's mother and wife was delicious. The shower was also really warm, and great after a run in Godawari. It was great to wake up in the mountains and in the peace and quiet away from KTM for a night. Thanks so much Sunil!

  • Thoughtfully designed homestay. We stayed in recently built property. Rashil (host) designed the place himself and Had done a fantastic job. Property is neat and clean with all amenities. Market is walkable to buy daily needs. Rashil was helpful in guiding us. Banepa is just 10 min from Dhulikhel and close by to other near by natural attractions. You can choose to stay for a longer duration here and explore this part of Nepal at leisure.

Rashil is a wonderful host who cared so much about us, told us lots of things about Nepal and made us try momos, dal bat and his excellent raksi. Anita is a wonderful cook and so openhearted and caring too. The rooms are really beautiful, the whoke aparrtement really charming and you can cook in a well staffed kitchen if you wish to. All is clean. We would recomend to everybody who is in Nepal pass by at Rashil's Stay!

  • Nice, and clean place with friendly host. Sometimes it is noisy as it is near the main road. This doesn't affect me because midnight the place is quite quiet. 10/10 would recommend.

  • I've been splendidly lucky in all of my stays with Airbnb, coming across many fantastic people and homes along the way. Banepa Stay is one of the gems shining brilliantly through. Our stay was warm and wonderfully like being at home. Walking into the place was like stepping into a song, where the refrain of the city's traffic and dust rambles along in the background whilst a new, calming and harmoniously delightful tune reveals itself to you. Lovingly and beautifully crafted, the aesthetic and hosting style of Banepa stay is refreshingly idiosyncratic, yet familiar, and I did not want to leave. I'm looking forward to another stay with them.

Our guest house is located in the heart of the ancient city surrounded by the major attractions of the city like Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Nyatapola Temple, in a quite area within short walk distance to the major sites. Experience the great shopping down the street. The guestrooms are elegantly furnished with a double bed, desk, chair, closet, locker and a private bathroom and are well ventilated ensuring you a comfortable stay. Enjoy the authentic taste of Nepali Organic Coffee in the hotel.
Located inside the UNESCO’s World Heritage site,Kumari Guest House, Once used to be the palace of Malla kings ,built by king Bhupatindra Malla in around 17th century , was later renovated. Most of the artifacts from that period are being preserved and are on display in same building. There is a saying that the building was built to observe the construction of the Nyatapola temple by the king. The building is still owned by the great grand children of the king. The ancient wood carvings, architectural doors and windows are well preserved in the building.
The guest house is right in the middle of two major squares of Bhaktapur. One is Durbar Square and another is Taumadhi Square. Durbar Square is the palace of ancient Malla King where major ancient temples as well as King's palace is located. Taumadhi Square is the square where one of the tallest temple in Nepal named Nyatapola is located. Other major attractions of Bhaktapur are also located in walking distance.
  • The location of the guest house was great! It’s right near the square in the historic area of Bhaktapur. The room was clean, spacious and hot water was available in the shower! I have a special vegan and gluten free diet that was accommodated. The staff were super friendly as well. Great stay!

    Krystal2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The location is in a small alley connecting Taumardi Square and Durbar Square. It is difficult to find it. After entering the ancient city, it is best to call the boss to pick it up. The location is very good and clean, with a garden on the first floor and a rooftop on the top floor, the service is very attentive. Breakfast is served on the rooftop, very rich, and finally there is a special fruit yoghurt, the front desk is also very handsome!

The place is really beautiful with a lovely garden around the house, the room was super clean, cosy bed, hot shower and sunny windows. The location is ideal, just a few minutes walking to the main attractions and historical places of Bhaktapur. Compared to buzzy Kathmandu and especially Thamel, this is a much more peaceful and relaxed place and if you have a few days, I really recommend staying there instead of going to Thamel. I also really loved the delicious breakfast, I got my laundry done and when my jeans didn‘t wanna survive the 6 weeks of touring through Nepal, Ganesh‘s wife took them to the tailor for me;-) Thanks for everything and maybe see you again!

  • One of our best stays in Nepal. Very clean rooms, delicious home cooked meals and excellent location. Ganesh even took us on a tour around Bhaktapur, explaining the history and the architecture. Highly recommended!

  • The homestay is on the oldest square in the city but set one street back, which means it's quieter and you get the benefit of the beautiful garden. My room was very new - just a year old I think (room 6). It was very comfortable and faced the garden and mountains. Very clean, and lovely towels and bed linen. Excellent shower! Breakfast is charged separately from the room. I paid 325 rupees for pancakes with king curd (local speciality) and banana, plus tea, coffee or juice. Ganesh is a great host and was happy to answer any questions I had.

  • Pradhan House is located in the old part of Bhaktapur, close to its Durbar Square, but away from the bustle. When you step in through the entrance, you've entered into a garden oasis that is tranquil and green.  We were on a floor that has been recently added, so everything was pretty new and up-to-date (the king-size bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in, in our travels). Ganesh Lal was the perfect host, attentive to all our needs. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed home-cooked Nepali cuisine.  Ganesh took us on a walking tour of Bhaktapur, sharing tidbits of history and culture, and introducing us to restaurants and people in the community.  We felt so much at home, and made a personal connection with Ganesh and his lovely family. We would definitely stay with them again in the future. Thanks very much, Ganesh, for the lovely memories!

  • Stay here. It is that simple. You will stay under the care of a thoughtful and loving family. Good English. Well connected to the community. You decide how integrated you want to be with the family. Separate external staircase entrance to upper floors for guests as well as a roof view and drying line. The property is secure by a physical perimeter high wall as well as the family oversight. The building itself is of modern concrete design. The internet signal is good. The hot water is reliable and the shower pressure good. ( unfortunately the shower head is a fixed point rather than hand held). The host will wash in a modern machine or sew buttons for you. The lovely internal garden space insulates you from the city. The host family lives on the ground floor where the kitchen and internal guest dining area is located. There is also a garden dining area. Do take advantage of the offer to eat meals at home. You will be delighted. The host accommodates to you. Describe what you like to eat. Bring produce from the market that you want to try. Ask for a cooking lesson. They have standard meals on offer but better to simply turn yourself over to whatever they are eating in season. The host can organize and recommend activities you may never have considered. Airport transfer through the host is very convenient on both ends. Local taxis arranged by host can get you very close to the property in this closed city. The host is very responsive, educated and honorable. His wife is a retired schoolteacher raising respectful daughters . She is the heart of the kitchen and you will feel peace in her home.

  • Very nice family, and perfect location a bit away from busy center, but still just a quick walk to all the main sites. Ganesh Lal was super quick to respond to my messages and was a pleasure to chat with and share about Nepali culture. Rooms are clean and bright, beds are thick and comfy, hot water shower, and beautiful garden and patio to sit and have a cup of tea. Would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Bhaktapur!

  • I was extremely well cared for from being met from the taxi. All meals were freshly prepared and delicious everything is beautifully presented. The garden is lovely. The room was clean with modern decor and hard floor. Bed comfy and cosy bedding. High standard en suite with very good shower Excellent value I can not recommend this little oasis in the middle of Bhaktapur highly enough

  • A very warm welcome awaits you. Ganesh is always ready to talk with you to advise you on the rest of your trip. Breakfast is hearty. The garden is superb. A very good address!

  • This was the very best room we have had in four weeks of our Nepal trip. It was clean, spacious, comfortable and in a fabulous location. Our hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming, and their food and local knowledge was outstanding. We stayed for two nights but I wish it had been longer. The building is sturdy, clean and set in a beautiful garden. One thing to note, as the homestay is within Bhaktapur old town you need to pay an entry fee to get into the area and show your passport. We got a week’s permit for 1,500 rupees each.
