“heading to the beach and want to pack a delicious lunch? Call ahead to place your order at this fantastic delicatessen. This is the best sandwich shop in town, so the line can be VERY long - give em a ring and wait 20 mins before picking up your order... its worth the wait! ”

“"Serving the Local Rumson area Since Prohibition", Murphy's Tavern was a historic speak-easy. Located below a residential house, this bar has some history and is a local favorite for a cocktail or two. An 8 minute walk. Just make a right out our property, make your first right up Center Street and walk straight to the end. You'll walk right into it. The bar is down the driveway, and you'll see a sign out front, once you are on Ward Street. ”

“It's a sports bar, but it also has a great Italian kitchen too, you can sit at the bar and order "bar pies" (personal pan pizzas), or sit at a booth in the restaurant section. PRO TIP: try the eggplant fries. Deep-fried shoestring eggplant strips served with melted butter and powdered Parmesan cheese. It's heaven in your mouth.”

“A 2 minute walk away, just turn left out front, and turn left again up Ave of Two Rivers and it will see it on the left hand side after a short walk. Don't let the "warehouse" appearance fool you. This is probably the best Italian in the area. Ristorante Giorgia is a "cozy, family-run spot crafting homemade pastas & classic, seasonal Italian fare in a homey setting."”

“Upscale, but casual farm to table. This restaurant is literally right around the corner. Walk out front, turn left and you'll see it right across The Ave of Two Rivers. From their site: "Rumson House offers guests a refined farm-to-table dining experience. Our eclectic menu draws from locally sourced and sustainable ingredients for a healthier, more dynamic cuisine, while our wine list features an abundance of both regional and grape varietal options."”

“The local coffee shop is abuzz every morning with business folks off to New York, local business owners and the best folks around town. Grab a coffee and pastry before making your way to watch the river traffic on the town pier.”
