This lovely one-bedroom, a typical Sicilian “dammuso”, equipped with wifi and air conditioning, is situated in a pedestrian alleyway in the historical Santa Maria La Nova district, and has been entirely restructured in 2018. While completing the renovation we have preserved much of the original stone walls - even in the bathroom - to safeguard the original Sicilian look-and-feel. Magical stone hut built in 1818 lovingly converted with local materials into a simple, elegant home. Perched on a mountain ridge with valley vistas on all sides and a magnificent view into the Baroque town of Scicli with the sea beyond. A metal gate two fields away leads you into the land, where our neighbouring farmer grazes his cows and goats amongst the ancient carob grove. To the rear of the house is a vast carob tree hung with a hammock for dreamy afternoon siestas.
