Great stay in a perfect location if you like nature and being surrounded by a beautiful environment. The apartment was perfect and Marion very helpful. An awesome northern light show also came one night ;-)

Not sure what was better: - the nice little apartment (beautifully decorated and they even had games for us to play.) - or the location. The fjord, the mountains... wow.... You should definitely plan a hike up the mountain behind the village. Unfortunately I could not, due to an injury. But all that means is, I'll be back! The Lofoten offers an overwhelming landscape. But this is better!

Located right above the fjord with a beautiful view from the spacious and sunny living room, provided the weather is clear and sunny. The kitchen had everything we needed for our meal preparations. The bathroom combined with the toilet is tiny. The double bed is very narrow barely fitting two people. But there are 3 bedrooms upstairs and I think other beds were OK.

Very cute house in a beautiful location in Senja. We did the hike which starts right from the house and it was great. The house is a bit old, but charming, with stunning views from the living room. Would recommend for people traveling to Senja!

A number of issues made our arrival a bit difficult, but the hosts were available to assist us in fixing these problems. We didn't feel like the place had been prepared for our arrival, and we had to make it suitable for ourselves (changing the sheets, placing the furniture, putting away the dishes, etc) otherwise the location is truly beautiful and the house is comfortable and big enough.

The house was disgusting! In the kitchen, the dishes was disgusting. The bathroom was too. Also, you CAN'T sit on the toilet. No enough space!!! One of the mattress was with urine mark! This person just want to make for money for a place she never go. We were during winter, when we arrived it was 9 degrees Celsius in the house!! I took pictures of everything! The worst place we ever been!

Amazing view, unless we found a nasty weather! The house is very big and nice...there is almost everything. Karoline is very nice and available, she always answered to my messages. I suggest this accomodation if you want to spend some relaxing days, there is no caos and everything is very typical.

Nice little "grandma" house with a great view of the fjord and the mountains. The owner was quick to respond to any questions and the house was nice and warm when we arrived. The bathroom is very small and requires acrobatic moves to use the toilet. The owner warned us not to use more than 2 plates on the stove, or the fuse would blow, but we had no trouble with this. If you don't want to cook yourself there is a nice little grill & pub next door. Would gladly stay here again.

We had a good stay at this cabin. Great location, nice views and plenty of space. The standard was as described. Very nice and helpful host that was easy to connect with. We highly recommend this cabin to others who want to experience Senja :)

Vooral de locatie was fantastisch. Uitzicht op het fjord en de bergen met watervallen. Een korte wandeling door de achtertuin leidt zo naar het fjord, waar ook nog een houten vlonder met tafel en stoelen aanwezig was. Het huis ligt aan de National Tourist Road van Senja en aan het eind van het fjord was ook nog een mooi wit strand. Water is wel koud, maar daar keken we niet van op. Huisje was niet super modern ingericht, maar het gaf daar en tegen wel iets van een authentieke sfeer.

Eli's house was spacious, with everything we needed; a well furnished kitchen, a nice dinner area and a great living room. the bed was very comfy. A large deck for an amazing view and stunning sunsets is also present. Well located in Senja, it is close to several sightseeing spots. Aymone & Matthieu

My girlfriend and I stayed two nights in this beautiful location in Steinfjorden. The view is just amazing. The house is a little old-fashioned but in a very charming way. We didn't meet Eli, but she was quick at responding to any questions we had and her "guidebook" over Senja was a big help. I had a long chat with the next-door neighbor, an old lady, (well it was mostly her speaking) who told me all about the village, and its inhabitants... very friendly :) Btw, a car is a must to get there.

Our stay at Steinfjord Villa was better than we had imagined. The house was great: spacious, warm, and clean. Communication with our host was easy and clear. No glitches. The location was perfect for us being near great ski locations and the transportation hub of Finnsnes. Every time it snowed our driveway was plowed promptly. And the scenery-wow, unbelievable views in every direction from the house, the hill, just about everywhere! I strongly recommend Steinfjord Villa to anyone traveling to this area. We spent 2 nights in the house of Eli and Jack, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature, in front of the fjord (what a view from the house !), and under the midnight sun. The place is great and ideally situated. Our guests really made sure we enjoyed our stay by offering their advices and proving their kindness and sense of hospitality. More than recommended if you are looking for the most romantic place on Senja.

We stayed Jättefint in the house in Stein Fjord. Large porch facing the fjord. Kitchen with all equipment you need for cooking. At the far end of the fjord lies a beach. Nature on the island is fantastic. Running between the fjords through tunnels in the mountains, and every time you come out of a tunnel awaits a new landscape. Many nice views and waterfalls. We were fortunate to see the Northern Lights, it was in September. The village was easy to find, but we had to ask for further description to know which house it was. The key was waiting for us in a key box, when we arrived late in the evening. The beds were made and the house is well heated.

We stayed three nights at Husöy and had it wonderful. Because the weather was good we sat a lot on the balcony and enjoyed the view. The apartment is relatively spacious and has amenities like a dishwasher and washing machine, and it is well situated with a view of the fjord. All contact with the host worked excellent. Recommended!

Nice house on the top of the island with mountain and fjord views in all directions. Good space and simple decor, but have the most needed. Hege was easy to get in touch with and very accommodating. Recommended!

Lots of space on the second floor of a house on Husøys highest peak. This is a space that is very special and unique in many ways. We were on our way through and needed a good night's sleep. Would love to spend more time here to explore the little fishing village. The house has all the amenities needed. Nice host who made check in very easy for us. Remember to buy what you need before you arrive. The local store closes early.

Great place to stay. Hege is very friendly and even pick us up from the harbour. I will definetly come bavl again and stay longer.

This rental is one of the highest locations on Husøy Island with a spectacular view of the fjord and Arctic Ocean. The pictures cannot capture the jaw-dropping beauty of this location. Rent this location! It's phenomenal!!!

The sunset before the apartment is the most beautiful one in my life!

I booked this Airbnb for one night as a place to wash clothes during my solo travels around Senja. I hadn't really paid attention to the exact location and was pleasantly surprised by the island village of Husoy. I didn't meet Hege in person, but she was very responsive by text. This would have been a great place to stay with a small group.

Sverreheimen House is the beautiful place on Husøy - it is situated on the first line before the water. House is very comfortable and fully equipped and has wonderful interior. It seems to me - he has a soul. Nice view opens from the windows. There is quiet and very nice, wonderful nature around the island. Liz Eva and her mother Hildegunn are very kind, honest and hospitable people.

It was one of the most touching moments to stand on the balcony of that lovely house, to see the snowy mountains, the northern lights and to know: you are looking towards the open sea. We really had a very great time - good to have the stove to heat the rooms during these winter period. The house was clean and more than what I expected it to be. It was really amazing. On Husøy you have everything you need - you don't have to drive to see spectacular nature - it is already in front of you. Also a supermarket is in walking distance. Liza's house is comfortable, very well equipped, and amazingly situated, with a view you can spend hours watching. That's actually what we partially did, due to this very exotic "night". And you have many thing to watch like northern birds species, seals, dolphins etc ... Still not seen any moose, too bad ... they're a bit shy ! The situation is also quite exciting regarding hiking and climbing. We found many easy to moderate hikes in the surroundings of Husøy, no need to go far. And the views from summits are breathtaking. But there are not always defined trails nor footpaths. All the region is "almost" touritless, calm, very relaxing. I planned to practice fishing but unfortunately had not enough time ... I'll have to spend more time there, definitely ! I strongly recommend for real nature experience lovers. Many thanks to Liza for all, and particularly easing us the arrival and leaving.

We enjoyed our stay at Liza's house "Sverreheimen" very much! She was a great host and responded fast when we had some questions during our stay. The house is very well equipped with just everything you need. The view over the fjord is breathtaking and you can even see the northern lights from the balcony if you are lucky. Highly recommended place for your Senja holiday!

Husøy is a great place, we were there to go to the summit on skis. There will be a lot of driving wherever you live in Senja, but Husøy is nicely placed for the northern peaks. We were 5 adults traveling, there is a maximum for this house. Could have been a little better furniture / chairs in the living room. Otherwise, everything is fine, great place.

That was my second time in this house and I was happy to stay here with my family! Fishing from the shore was amazing! Thank you very much!

This place made it possible for bouth kids and parents to have a great time! We visited the Senja Troll - and the kids could run around as they liked, all around the property The calmness of the sea trhough t kitchenwidow in the morning ... made coffetime even better!

The cabin is great. Pictures are not even close to how good is it, for real. There is plenty of space for five or six people, without taking the sofa in account. The enviroment is just lovely, you can see the whole fiord from the window. Also the sauna is fantastic, it is completly new and Kent will provide all the wood that you need. There is also a barbacue in the cabin house in case you want to have a tasty dinner

Our stay at Kents house was just perfect! The house is amazing and has everything you can think of that you need. The kitchen was fully equipped and so was the whole house. Also the ski boot dryer in the entrance was great. The living room is so cozy with a mix of old and new/modern furniture and a big comfortable couch, cozy wood oven and an amazing view out to the sea and the fjord. The private boat house with the sauna (directly at the water and with a window for view to the sea) is unbelievable great.. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest and thank great for being a great host. The communication was very easy and superfast and Kent is a super nice host who was very engaged for giving us a good stay. We would recommend him and the house to everyone who want to enjoy a magical and cozy stay at Senja.

Great to relax in a house with beautiful view and cosy fire place!

We had a great stay at Kent's place. The house looks newly refurbished and was very comfortable. The scenery was beautiful and we even spotted a seal or two. Kent was very responsive and gave us tips on what to do in the island. We would definitely go back!

Great location. Cabin was according to description. It was also very clean and tidy. We did not use the sauna, but it also looked good. We had a great time there. Only minor "complaint" is that there were a little few clean towels for our family of four, there were just enough (but the cabin is equipped with a washing machine and apparently Kent has someone local to help him with cleaning etc, so we would have been able to work it out either ourselves or with extra towels from Kent's helper).

Kents place is fantastic. It is a great place to explore senja from. The view is amazing and the sauna is a great place to relax after taking it all in.

Et stilig hus med mye sjarm og en fantastisk beliggenhet. Huset rådet over alle nødvendige fasiliteter og mye mer enn det. Den som ønsker å få avstand fra storbylivet i noen dager samt et godt utgangspunkt for fine sykkel-, topp- og fisketurer etc. bør velge Finnsæter på Senja. Bedre blir det ikke! Vi var ytterst fornøyde med oppfølgingen og servicen og kan trygt anbefale stedet til alle som er glade i de fantastiske naturopplevelsene!

Very welcome and good advice on activities. Eric advised us a wonderful walking 20 minutes from the studio.

Senja is a fantastic island, now my favorite northern Norway destination. Eiriks place is perfectly located in Bergsfjorden. Bergsfjorden is in itself a beautiful spot and it is a very good base for exploring the rest of Senja. The rooms are modern and clean. Eirik provides knowledgeable advice when asked. I can highly recommend Senja, Bergssfjorden and Eiriks place!

Eirik was an amazing host with a beautiful fjord-front property. His place was well-equipped as we were able to cook two meals inside. We really enjoyed his heated floors when in the bathroom! He referred us to a great guide who took us snowshoeing. Another interesting fact is that he has a business on the property where they do dinner tastings. He has hired the 2nd place on Top Chef Norway. 5 stars and highly recommend!

Clean, nicely decorated and lovely apartment situated within 30 seconds to the sea for a swim in the Arctic waters! The fjord view is breathtaking and we had a wonderful time. Eirik and Marit are extremely friendly, kind and thoughtful. We had some interesting chats and they suggested some wonderful hiking routes and sightseeing options. They are keen to share their knowledge of the region and their interest in cooking. Wonderful couple! When we arrived, Marit came to welcome us in her rain jacket even though it was pouring down. Very sweet and kind of her! :-)

We spent four fabulous nights in this cozy room. The room itself has everything you need, a comfortable bed, a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a small cooking top. The big selling point for this place though is the location, only a stone's throw from the ocean and everything else the amazing island Senja has to offer. The breathtaking view you get as soon as you walk outside the door is hard to believe! Eirik as a host is perfect, extremely hospitable and forthcoming. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be back!

The cabin was new and very nice. Its very quiet an delivered top comfort. Even if its tiny we were 6 adults enjoying staying here. Please be aware that you are a little bit off-the-grid because of low cellular coverage and no Internett. But for some this could actualle be an advantage :-)

Das Häuschen liegt direkt an einem Fjord fern ab von grossen Dörfern. Umgeben von ein paar wenigen Häuschen, fühlt man sich weit weg von jeglicher Zivilisation. Der perfekte Rückzugsort für Naturliebende, Ausgelaugte, Outdooraktivisten, Vögelbeobachter, Aufsmeerhinausgucker, kreative Köpfe, oder Ausdemalltagausbrecher. Zur Wintersaison liegen unzählige Skitourenmöglichkeiten quasi direkt vor der Haustüre! Auch mit klassischen Langlaufskiern hat man gnügend Bewegungsfreiheit. Mit etwas Glück können Nordlichter aus dem Bett heraus beobachtet werden. Das Häuschen hat eine perfekte Grösse für eine 4er Gruppe oder eine kleine Familie. Es fehlt einem an nichts. Else reagiert umgehend auf Fragen per SMS und kümmert sich sehr gut um Ihre Gäste. Falls nötig sind hilfsbereite Nachbaren schnell herbeigeeilt. (Zum Beispiel um ein fest gefahrenes Auto aus dem Schnee zu ziehen :-)) Diese Unterkunft können wir nur wärmstens weiter empfehlen!

My wife and I stayed At the cottage one night during travels in Northern Norway. We did not get to enjoy the area near the cottage, which appeared that it might appeal to those seeking outdoor recreation. The cottage is a bit dated, and it is distant from main roads, but it was clean and functional and it worked well for us. We found it to be a good value!

Cold bedroom downstairs. No hot water. No shower. These were the biggest issues. The place was very clean. Living room upstairs was warm.

This is one of the best travel experience I have ever had .The communication was excellent . The house was really beautiful and comfortable . The view was amassing . Thank y we really enjoyed hour stay !

This was a clean and cosy place that we really enjoyed! A good thing to mention is the lack of mobile sevice at the location. So make sure to mark the place on the map in advance :) Also the last 8km of the road was in pretty bad condition.

It was a pleasure to stay there. Oportunities to fishing and trekking are great advantage. And the hosting and the ammount of hospitality we got was beond average! The best experience I've had on airbnb. Also the place is very beautiful.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The house is located in a beautiful scenery and from the livingroom we could enjoy a magnificent view on the ocean, with the fireplace warming us while the northern lights illuminated the sky. The house is well equipped and super cozy. We'll definitely come back!

Perfect! Well-equipped cottage in a beautiful location. As the weather was mainly snowstorms with wind, we lit a fire and prepared lovely food in the well equipped kitchen. This location is a little remote, so I would recommend getting your provisions in advance. We flew into Tromso and called into the Jetka shopping ctr that is about 1 mile from the Airport. We would definitely stay here again and would say that it was worth the 3+ hours driving from Tromso. looking around the garden and trying to visualise everything without all the snow, we also think this place would be very nice in the summer with children as well.

We had a great stay, the cabin was very nice and clean. The view out of it is stunning and the nature nearby ist cinematic. Our time was really fantastic. I would definitely recommend it.

Cozy with great location near the sea. Quite central to the summit on skis and a good Joker with cafe not even close. Most of the equipment was available at the cottage.

Great house, new and modern, well-equipped and nicely decorated with artefacts of old. It looks good on photos, but it's even better in real life. Good location, you can watch midnight sun and ocean right from the living room. Fast and reliable Internet. The last section of the road leading to the village was in poor condition when we stayed, but this of course has nothing to do with the house itself.

Eivind & Kristin made us feel very welcome in their cabin. The location is amazing; it is beautiful & quiet. We were able to see the northern lights from the cabin windows and had an awesome view of the mountains and ocean. The cabin is cozy, and the sauna is a nice feature you don't see very often in homes.

Tracey was a very nice host who saw to att a neighbor showed up with a key and hvist us the way to the cabin when he himself did not care to place. Cozy cottage with every subject you may need of utensils, firewood, candles and other things. And is very cozy furnishings and interiors. The cottage lay in a covert a fantastic location in the woods. Hit we will gladly again! :)

La petite maison de Bjornar au bord du lac est très agréable et confortable. Le calme et la beauté de l'environnement sont envoûtants. L'endroit est magique et poétique. Bjornar a été très disponible et ses indications très précises. Senja est une île vraiment magnifique nous y avons fait de superbes randonnées. Un séjour parfait donc et nous recommandons vivement cette location.

a great out of the way place - good if you are uing the car ferry

Vidar was very helpful and a great host. He answered directly after contacting him and he was very helpful in finding his house. A good place for staying when you taking the ferry to Andenes / coming from Andenes.

Vidar is very accurate in his communication. I did a very last minute short notice booking and he was really helpful. Entering his Gryllefjord house felt like getting back into history. Even i am not norwegian, i recognised certain items from my mothers' childhood pictures. It nearly felt wrong using the mobile network :-) I had a great sleep, wonderful shower and was able to cook a decent meal. All happy. Once, for sure i will get back to Gryllefjord.
