We enjoyed our stay at Henk's. It was as expected, comfortable and with a friendly atmosphere. A convenient place to take our dog who got on well with Jack, the golden retriever who lives there. Also, it's in a great location for exploring the south and east side of the isle. We recommend a visit to Bembridge harbour and the Roman villa at Brading. Shanklin, nearby, is handy for shops and dog-friendly pubs. Thank you Henk for letting us relax at yours and making us feel so welcome.

My friend and I absolutely loved staying with Henk. From the minute we walked in and he offered us a glass of wine after our drive we felt at home. He was so generous giving us food to cook, wine to drink and taking us and collecting us from the festival we were going to. He even went back to the field to look for my phone when I had lost it. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We loved spending time in his beautiful garden with Jack and Tiggy. We feel like we have made a friend for life and will definitely be back to stay. Hopefully very soon.

Henk is a very genial host going out of his way to make this a very homely visit. Food was plentiful! The kitchen was well stocked making it very easy to be self- catering. Our daughter loved having her own accommodation in the garden and also enjoyed the added extra of dogwalking the beautiful Jack. It is very quiet and safe. The house was about a 10 minute walk to the idyllic Shanklin sandy beach. We did not arrive with a car and the buses ran to time and we were able to go all over with the weekly bus pass. The garden is a beautiful array of colour and just right to sit out side and enjoy the sunshine whilst eating al fresco. I would thoroughly recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay at 'Muskoka' very much. Henk is a very jolly and welcoming host, relaxed, accommodating and generous. Our bedroom was cosy and very clean. He loves dogs and made our border terrier, Tristan, very welcome even though at only one year old he is still very excitable. His own dog, Jack, was super relaxed and friendly with everyone, Tristan included, and even Tiggy the cat was unfazed.

I've never met such a kind person like Henk before. When I talked with Henk before this travel, he enquired me what we Chinese had for breakfast and thoughtfully bought noodles for us. His house is more beautiful than in those photos. And he offered us four person one room with three single beds, the other with one double bed. Both bedroom are tidy, and Henk even decorated some fresh flowers in our room. And he generously told us we could help ourselves with foods & drinks. But regret to say, In fact, we just spent several minutes with Henk cuz he was going abroad. Luckily, we had Tiggy, a considerate cat, surprisingly waiting us on the way home when we were sacred by the dark road in the evening! Living in Henk's house just felt at home. I just wanna say The happiest thing in our travel was meeting Henk & Tiggy. Expect next travel to IoW!

My partner & I just returned from a wonderful 3 night break at "Little Gem", and I cannot recommend this property highly enough! The host, Debbie, is a very friendly, genuinely lovely lady, who instantly made my partner & I feel welcome. The property itself was spotless, roomy, light and well equipped with everything we could need for our stay, and more. Debbie had kindly provided us with some fresh produce as well as cereals to get our day started, but also tea, coffee, hot chocolate, chilled sparkling water and best of all a lovely bottle of Rose! The location of this property is just perfect, right in the heart of the beautiful & picturesque Old Shanklin village with its local shops, quaint pubs and some fantastic restaurants (we dined in a couple of places that Debbie had suggested and we were delighted with the food, service & value for money) are all a short stroll from the apartment itself. The lovely sandy beach was also only a short leisurely walk away, and yet the property is so private, peaceful and relaxing, once inside you forget you are so close to everything. The property overlooks a pretty garden which we had private use of, and we found the private parking space invaluable not only for loading and unloading our car, but also for getting out and exploring the island without having to worry about getting a parking space when we returned in the evening. We very much hope to return to this “Little Gem” once again in the not too distant future. Thank you again Debbie, we wish all the best to you, and your family.

We have stayed at the Little Gem on May holiday weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better place or host! Apartment is STUNNING! Everything we needed was provided to the level of details that 5* hotels can only dream of! Spacious, nicely decorated, clean, very well equipped and in silent spot - a perfect place to relax. We have been greeted by Debbie at the arrival and despite late time, she greeted us warmly, advised what to see, where to eat and shown us around the apartment. So very nice of her that she had also collected a set of maps, leaflets and local information for visitors so we could decide over breakfast what to do. Debbie proviced us with all thing needed for the first day so we enjoyed fresh eggs, cereals, ground (and instant if you like) coffe, tea, bread, butter, jam and some wine the very first evening and morning. Shanklin and IoW is STUNNING so if you are looking for a perfect and relaxing place to enjoy your time off - go there. Very save, quiet (probably only loud time is the festivals), picturesque and very organic and "fresh" in terms of products. We have seen and recommend to go to the Arreton Barns Craft Village, Godshill Winery (the best local wine ever), The Needles, Ventnor and of course Shanklin! To sum up (as you can see I am in love with that place now and could go for hours about it)... This was the best time away from home ever, with stunning accomodation, the nicest host ever, just 3 min walk from the beach and so much to do - Debbie, we are coming back real soon! Had a wonderful stay at Debbie's flat - the bed is HUGE and really comfortable, and the kitchen is perfectly equipped! Really well located, super close to the beach and we had a lovely walk along to coastal path to St Lawrence. Really recommend eating at the Fine Nammet too! Lovely, bright, spacious, well-equipped flat in excellent location right on the beach and only a few metres from great pubs and traditional seaside attractions. We didn't eat in much but it was obvious a lot of thought had gone in to ensure everything you could need was provided. The beds were really comfy and, again, there were lots of thoughtful additions like extra pillows and blankets if needed. Oliver and his mum made us feel very welcome - thanks for the milk, juice, lunch suggestions, etc.

Veronica, Oliver's mother was there to greet us when we arrived at the apartment. She was friendly and helpful and had thoughtfully provided us with milk, tea, coffee, orange juice, biscuits - in fact all we needed to feel immediately at home after our journey. Veronica and her husband live very close so when we had a small problem with the heating controls they were able to sort it out immediately and with minimal fuss. The flat was lovely, very clean, warm and comfortable and much more spacious than I had anticipated. There were cyclamen flowers on the balcony - a very nice touch - and having the sea so close was just what we wanted. The view was fantastic and we enjoyed watching the sun come up over the waves. A really lovely apartment, perfect for our winter break. Thank you Oliver and Veronica!

Words cannot describe what a special place Culver House is. The perfect house in the perfect location, we were blown away by the house and it's amazing view. Sandra is a great host and there were loads of special touches that made the stay even special. We would love to return in the future.

I honestly felt the house exceeded our expectations which is nice to able to say. The view is even better than the pictures on the site, the house very comfortable and well equipped and the location is great too. Sandra is very responsive and happy to give advice on anything about your break on the Isle of Wight. I don't think anyone will regret booking this house for their holiday!

This place is truly amazing. All what you can see in photos is true and reality is even better. House is warm - it even has heated floor, which is extremely good with small children. There are plenty of toys for toddlers. We brought our own without knowing, but we don't used them at all :) Kitchen is very well equipped - all is brand new and not cheap. Overall is 5 starts without even thinking.

We had a wonderful stay at Sandra's beautiful home. Culver House is in a perfect location overlooking the sea, with direct access to the coastal path and in short walking distance to beaches, stores and the centre of Shanklin. The house is spacious, beautifully decorated and equipped to a very high standard, providing every comfort you could wish for. The big garden offers plenty of space to relax, and a little play house, slide and sandpit provide fantastic entertainment for children. Perfect place for a relaxing stay - both for adult groups and families with children. Thank you to Sandra for a fantastic stay and for being a great and very responsive host - we hope to be back!

Had a lovely week based in Shanklin, exploring the island. Accommodation was great for the two of us. Very convenient for the town, the beach and cycle ride along to Sandown and further afield. Secure storage for bikes was a bonus as well as on site car parking. The flat is light, uncluttered, clean and comfortable. Elaine was welcoming, helpful and friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay at Isle of Yoga. Elaine was very friendly, extremely helpful in answering all our questions beforehand, and communicating with us, as required, during our stay. We found the flat met all of our needs as our base for a 4 day walking holiday and exploring the island, but we also found it very comfortable and enjoyed spending our evenings in relaxing. We visited the Isle of Wight over the bank holiday and have had a lovely stay at the apartment. All communication went really easy, we were warmly welcomed by Elaine and felt quickly at home at this cosy and well-equipped place. There was plenty of room for the two of us and we had good nights of sleep in comfy bed. The bus connection in Shanklin is very convenient to travel across the island and see the beautiful hikes and cute cities it has to offer. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Their house is really beautiful. We were like living in a green garden.The family was so nice to us, Elaine gave me quite a lot trip tips. The yoga course was brilliant.

The Swiss Chalet is ideal for a couple who prefer self catering. If you require an independent stay in a secluded self contained environment look no further. Johanne’s attention to detail enables you to enjoy the pleasant ambience they have created. The place is bright and airy and maintained to a very high standard exactly as in the pictures. Ample comprehensive facilities. Functional and simple. Lovely and clean nice and fresh. Everything is catered for by the hosts. Warm at night with good heater. Good shower with hot water. Fresh towels and comfortable cosy bedding ensures you will have a peaceful nights sleep. Easy secure parking on a large shared drive. The chalet is in a great location as it is only a 5 min drive away from the beach or high street. Your place of stay is quiet at night. Within 10 mins you can walk to a park pub or restaurant. There is a friendly local provisions store open from 7-11 which is less than 5 mins walk away. The hosts are lovely and very hospitable. We loved our stay. We would suggest you should just book it without any hesitation.

We got very friendly welcome by John and Hannah, and spent relaxing and happy four days at their house. The house is very clean and lovely with good decoration, and it has good location, walk distance to train and bus station, and very near to the ocean, my friends and I very love the place. John also gave us many useful tips to hang around the island. I will highly recommend this place!

Pam and Bern were very welcoming and provided us with extensive local knowledge for rambles, town and beach activities. The flat is very clean and comfortable with all necessary facilities and is situated in a quiet setting but within easy reach of local amenities. We hope to be able to stay again in the near future.

Pam and Bern were perfect hosts, from the moment we arrived to the time we had to say goodbye. We were welcomed with a quick tour of the accommodation and the beautiful garden which was bursting with fruit and vegetables and flowers. We were treated to a welcome basket of goodies, advice on where to visit and even corn from the garden during our stay. Culver View is a great location to explore the island from and a secluded spot to return to at the end of every day - a calm oasis which was perfect for the relaxation we needed. Our little dog, Inuki, was also welcomed with lots of fuss and had a wonderful time running up and down between the vegetable plots, as we did sitting on the lovely swing bench watching the stars on a couple of evenings. We felt totally at ease staying at Culver View and hope to return one day soon.

Whatever you imagine, Sally's house is way better than your expactation. 1. Sally and Brian are really kind people. They are so lovely couple and gave us a lot of useful information about trips. They replyed for the messages quickly. Also, they treated us as we feel comfortable for staying their house. 2.Faciluties of their house are so amazing. Everything was new and clean. Also, the interior of their house is so neat and beautiful. Especially, the colour majorly used in their house makes us calm and feel like we were in a cozy beach. 3. Almost of ammenities were well prepared, even though what we didn't expect. 4. Breakfast and tea were so tasty that I enjoyed it a lot. It was my first time to try English breakfast tea which I became into. 5. The puppy and kitty were friendly and adorable. They made our stay more enjoyable. In my opinion, Sally's house was better than a hotel. Everything was perfect and satisfactory. They were not just host, but our friends. I hope that many people visit this lovely house. I'm sure with that visitors would love them and enjoy the beautiful island where people are so nice

Sally also gave us a lift to our destination to save us a long walk, greatly appreciated, as was the bottles of water that were left outside our bedroom door when we arrived back from a night of drinking. We stayed at Sally's home for 2 nights. The room and bathroom was very comfy and cosy, clean and tidy. The house is located in a very quiet area but close to shop. There is beach nearby for nice and long walks. Sally and Brian are great couple who advice us willingly what to visit and when. Their 2 pets are very friendly and sometimes we didn't even know they were at home. It was pleasure to meet Sally and Brian and spend time at their home. This place is awesome and Sally is a great host! Sally's house is close to the main road and bus stop. It is very convenient for people who are going to use public transport system. The room and the bathroom were exactly as it looks like in the photos. The bed is also very comfortable. They also have a cute dog and a cat, who were very friendly to us! The breakfast was generous and great! Sally also gave us a lift in her car to the nearby Shanklin beach front on the very first evening. It was very kind of her! An excellent place to stay for a young couple (like us) on a weekend trip or longer! We would love to come back there again!

A beautifully decorated no appointed house within easy reach of all the local amenities by foot or car. Great base for exploring the island. The house is small and compact but sleeping space is excellent. Lovely sun trap patio decking area and small garden area for break out times. Really please we found this and would recommend highly.

Lovely place. Plenty of room for our stay. Kirsty couldn't do enough to accommodate our 8 month old providing a high chair and cot. We had a fantastic time. Central to Shanklin everything was walking distance. Would highly recommend and stay again!

A really comfortable, modern, clean, convenient place to stay, close to beach, shops, buses and road routes around the island. The dog friendly beach is superb and the biggest surprise was a perfect wool shop in the high street called Strictly Knitting! My week was complete!

The house was well decorated and beautifully clean. The house was easy walking distance from the beach and shops right round the corner. Can't complain about anything. All was as the owner described in their welcome email. Great house. Great location. Great stay.

Cannot rate this place and Kirsty highly enough. The house was spotless and so welcoming, a bottle wine, box of chocolates and yummy cinnamon biscuits were awaiting us and as we stayed over Christmas she had set up and decorated a tree for us and left stockings with chocolates for the children in our group which they loved! The house is less than 10 minutes walk to the beach and 5 minutes walk from the high street. It has a fully enclosed garden which was brilliant for the dog. Everything about our stay was great, we will definitely be back! :)

The house was very clean and had the required amenities, including a bonus bottle of wine! Plenty of sleeping space and enough living room for our party of four. Off street parking was handy for that streer. However if you filled up all the bedrooms with guests, I suspect you'd find the living space a bit tight. The garage room is a lovely conversion. Our hosts were very attentive and responded quickly when we had the odd issue. They even supplied plenty of toilet roll, soap and washing up stuff, which was all very handy. The location is great and was perfect for our needs. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

It's cozy house in seafront with fab scenery!

We had a fantastic week away. Mel was fantastic on the run up - helping us with ferry tickets and suggestions. She had provided us with basic provisions so we didn't even have to go shopping as soon as we had got there! Beach towels, flannels, hair dryer, washing up bits were all provided to make self catering that much easier. Mel was there to greet us and had a great info pack of the flat/island to help us. A wonderful extra touch was a card and bottle of prosecco as she knew it was our wedding anniversary totally unexpected. Thank you Mel, I'd absolutely recommend this place.

Mel was a fantastic host and couldn't have been more kind, communicative, helpful or there for us. She left us myriads of little treats and extras and made the three teens I had with me feel so very welcome and comfortable. Sea View was in a perfect location somewhere we'd definitely come again. It was the perfect size, had everything there and was perfectly clean with everything we needed. We can't thank Mel enough!

A lovely clean two bedroom apartment in a great location for families! The host Mel had thought of everything and provided not only the basic things but also bread, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits to name but a few items plus toiletries such as toothpaste and shampoo/conditioner. Mel is a natural hostess and very kind. We had a fantastic stay at Seaside view, it was absolutely perfect for our family of four and the morning sunrises were truly beautiful, thanks Mel!

We had a lovely stay at Mel's. The apartment had everything we needed and more! There were extra treats including delicious coffee and a cafetière, biscuits, maltesers and thoughtful necessities. The view was amazing and the weather was so sunny we felt really lucky to be in such a great location. There are bars and restaurants plus crazy golf in walking distance! Having a parking space made things so much easier. Mel met us on arrival and was so friendly and extra helpful. We have used airbnb a lot and Mel is by far the best host we've had. Thank you so much

Lovely stay here!

The hotel is relatively close to a great view of the sea side. It has a few nice social areas even though is not a big hotel, which I liked. The stuff was very friendly and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. The rooms are ok. The shower cubicle is quite small though but, I guess sufficient. The only thing is the bed was not as comfortable as I could feel the springs. I'm sure this can be sort it easily.

Had a great 2 night stay, the hotel was clean & value for money. The location was perfect for the beach, town & village. The staff were polite, helpful & friendly.

We had a very nice time in Marlborough hotel. The room was really nice and clean, the staff was really welcoming and helpful, and the location is perfect between the old center of Shanklin and the sea. Very nice!
