Places to stay in Stehekin

Places to stay in Stehekin
At the head of Lake Chelan lies the unique community of Stehekin, Washington, accessible by the Lady of the Lake ferry service out of Chelan. Our cozy two bedroom, two bath cabin, surrounded by creeks and forest, is six miles up the valley from the boat landing. We pick you up and provide a vehicle during your stay. The perfect place to disconnect and unwind. The ferry boat is running on Sunday all winter and the Stehekin Pastry Company is open on weekends. Come join us!
The whole house is yours! It is two bedroom, two bath. One bedroom has a queen bed and the upstairs bedroom currently has a double bed, though we may change to twin beds by summer 2020. We also have a single cot that is stored in the closet of the downstairs bedroom. This works either on the screened porch or can be set up in the upstairs living/family room. Our price is for four people. The upstairs bath is connected to the upstairs bedroom and has a delightful soaking tub. The downstairs bath has the shower. The kitchen is completely furnished, including extras such as a toaster, coffee maker (coffee provided) blender, waffle iron, crockpot, stewpot, teapot and some teas, etc. There is a living/family room upstairs with a TV AND DVD player for movies, some games and puzzles. It currently has a futon-type sofa, though it does not open into full bed, but is comfortable for one person for sleeping on. There are lots of books in the downstairs living area about the history of the valley for your reading enjoyment and education. It is amazing how much history there is in this small, secluded valley. Our cabin is up-valley from the landing, away from the hustle and bustle during the high tourist season. But with the provided vehicle, you are only minutes away from everything there is to do in the valley during the summer. There are many activities available including kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, exploring the historic areas in the valley, swimming in a cold lake, picnicking. A guidebook will be available in the cabin to help you, but we are available to answer questions. In the winter you will enjoy the peace and quiet of a snowy wood and creek. You can snowshoe or ski right out the front door. There are good places to explore close by or drive to. The squirrels can be seen running over the snow looking for food. On full moon winter nights it is almost as bright as day and wonderful for taking walks!! Winter is enchanting here. You will love it! Especially since the Stehekin Pastry Company will be open on the weekends this winter. We are so excited!
This two bedroom, two bath, fully furnished cabin is 3-1/2 miles from the Bakery; six miles from the Stehekin Valley Ranch going up the road and 6 miles from the boat landing and the Lodge Store going down the road; two miles from the Buckner Orchard and Rainbow Falls; one mile from Harlequin Bridge, 1/2 Mile from the PUD Powerhouse; 3/4 mile from the airstrip. But we are surrounded by 62,000 acres of the Lake Chelan Recreation Area, which is Federal land managed by the National Park Service, and many trails. Bring a bike, rent a bike, or use our provided vehicle. There is also a Valley shuttle from April 1 through October 15 that can take you anywhere between the Landing and High Bridge. ANNOUNCEMENT!!! Stehekin Pastry Company is going to be open weekends at boat time this winter. We are so excited and hope you will want to come and share in the yumminess! The Boat Company will be running a Sunday boat all winter as well, so it will be easy to plan a two night getaway over the weekend.
  • This spot is a gem. It was peaceful, beautiful and inviting. The soaking tub was such a treat. They have puzzles and movies to watch. The surrounding outdoor scenery and hikes are spectacular. Definitely a return trip location and well worth it!

  • David and Jeannetta were extremely gracious hosts. They made our experience one to remember. The cabin is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. We can’t wait to visit again.

  • Great place, David and Jeanette's were great hosts and made every effort to add to our experience

  • David and Jeannetta were great hosts. From before our stay they were invaluably communicative. They let us know what we needed to bring, like groceries, and what to expect, from boat schedule tips to weather to what shops in town were closed. They met us at the dock, and on the way to the cabin Jeannetta gave us a small tour of the town. The chickens were in a good mood so we even had eggs for breakfast in the morning. It was really great being able to use the car to explore the town on our own and come back to such a cozy cabin every night. We will definately be back.

  • We had a wonderful stay! David and Jeannetta offered warmth and hospitality and a very comfortable base for our explorations. The place was charming. Everything was closed during our November visit and their thoughtfully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare and enjoy our meals - including the fresh eggs that they left on our counter! The place was absolutely spotless. Even the shower curtain was so clean that it looked as though it had never been used. They not only gave us the use of their car, they also offered us a shuttle that allowed us to make maximum use of the limited daylight for our hikes, and they gave us great hiking suggestions. They even offered for us to come into their home to watch an online broadcast of the Mass, in spite of their limited wifi and data! This turned out not to be necessary since we were able to find a Mass in Wenatchee on our way out, but we were touched by their generosity. We hope and expect to visit again.

  • The Stehekin Creekside Cabin is a magical place. Hosts Jeannetta and David picked us up at the Lady of the Lake II ferry landing when we arrived at 12:30 PM in Stehekin after our four hour gorgeous boat trip up the lake from Chelan which is the only way you can get to the remote town of Stehekin, unless you hike in. We took the easy route-a relaxing boat ride. Their cabin is beautifully appointed with all amenities. It is well equipped with a full kitchen: sink, refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, an apartment size washer/dryer, and things like coffee maker, microwave, toaster, as well as dishes, pots and pans, utensils, and tea and coffee. Eggs were provided since the chickens were in a good mood. We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms in the cabin along with a living room/ dining area, and a lovely screened porch. Everything about the cabin is superb. I would love to stay there for longer some day. The Stehekin Bakery is the place to go for food, baked goods and delicious sandwiches. This is something you should not miss when visiting. Their daily specials are amazing. We indulged in dinner at the Stehekin Valley Ranch, which I highly recommend. It is home cooked meals family style and was ever so tasty with the ambiance of a huge fireplace warming large cowboy style pots of ranch coffee. We ate at the Lansing Lodge as well, but the Stehekin Valley Ranch surpasses the Lodge in all areas. In addition, Jeannetta helped us schedule horseback riding for my adult daughter. While she was on the trail, I had a wonderful massage at the ranch. One of the best recommendations Jeannetta gave was to pick apples at the Buckner Orchards. I enjoyed taking gorgeous pictures of these apple trees set against a perfectly blue sky and majestic mountains. At the orchard you can visit an 1890 log cabin and other antique artifacts like an old US Forest Service truck and other farm equipment which are all part of the National Park Service. The surrounding area to their cabin is so enchanting. If you walk down the road youll find a river, and while we were there at the end of September, we saw the salmon swimming upstream. Also their Norwegian Fijord horse is lovely and just watching his friendly darling face chew grass is entertaining. David and Jeannetta provided us with a 1992 Mazda van to drive around. You may only drive 25 mph on the roads in Stehekin, but it doesn’t take more than 20-25 minutes to get anywhere. Guests are encouraged to make a donation for gas and mileage. If you are going to Stehekin to do any internet work, make phone calls, or try to contact someone, then I suggest you stay home. The internet service is very minimal at the cabin. And one needs to put one’s phone on airplane mode so it won’t use up the host’s data. We were given a password the day we were leaving so we could check email and texts, but even though internet is almost nonexistent everywhere, not just at the cabin, that’s not why we went to Stehekin Creekside Cabin or to Stehekin. Going to Stehekin proves to be a remarkable experience. Davis and Jeannetta are kind and considerate hosts, conscious of the environment, giving their land TLC and love by growing a beautiful flower garden and surrounding the property with stone pathways, benches by the creek, lounge chairs in the sun, and tasteful outdoor decorations. Staying at the Stehekin Creekside Cabin, eating at the bakery and ranch, seeing salmon in the Stehekin River, viewing the most amazing scenery, riding on the Lady of the Lake II (boat) and returning on the same, all proved to be one of the most memorable experiences of my life.

    Katherine2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • David and Jeannetta’s cabin is so comfortable, well located, and nice that it’s hard to beat. Their hospitality was amazing. My wife left her shoes at home and only had sandals with her. David saved the day by tracking down a pair of shoes for her to hike in. Plus, when you stay at David and Jeanetta’s you have the sweetest set of wheels in town. It made the trip much easier. Hard not to envy their life in the North Cascades! Wonderful people.

At the head of Lake Chelan, Tupshin Mt. house is a craftsman-built straw bale house. Very comfortable and fun for active families or small groups to call home while exploring the natural wonders of the Stehekin valley and the North Cascades National Park. Tupshin mountain fills the outside view from the living room, while an abundance of cool and organic mountain culture craftsmanship and cozy homeyness fill the inside.
Stehekin Washington has no outside road access. Public passenger ferry access is every day in the summer months, leaving from Chelan on the 55 mile long journey up lake, making one stop at Fields Point dock and parking lot which is the most common place for visitors to board the boat. Summer hiking trails also afford a unique arrival to the remote village, averaging 20+ miles, and requiring a steady trot for the trail runners, or an overnight for hikers wishing to camp in numerous amazing locations on the way in.
Bob offers free sailing for all guests if salts are willin' and the wind blows fair, aboard 30' Junk rigged dory schooner Ipsut, at anchor just minutes from the house. The house and yard are all theirs, with bob and Tammy very near for support and questions. Bob's is in and out of his shop in support of his work, but will not make noise when guests are around. Tupshin Base is on the main road, mile 1.4 at the head of the lake, next door to the Garden where goat cheese and fresh vegetables and other farm products are available
  • We had a wonderful stay in Stehekin at the Tupshin Mt House. The house itself is a work of art with amazing touches throughout. We particularly enjoyed the climbing rope, steam shower, and comfy beds. Robert and Tammy gave us a great house orientation and wood stove lesson so we could stay toasty warm. Thanks for a great start to 2020!

  • Our stay at the Stehekin Tupshin Mt. House was unforgettable. From the minute we stepped off the boat we felt the wash of relaxation and adventure. Bob and Tammy have created a cozy, artful space that's hard to leave but once you do there is hiking, biking and other outdoor adventures awaiting. I look forward to visiting again in the future!

  • The best place I've ever stayed at, ever! The house was amazing. We bought our children. We all played on the swing in the house. The home has such warmth and love. We made memories. The kids won't forget the house with a swing in the living room. I won't forget the connection I felt in The home. We are coming back ❤️

    Megan2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Bob’s home was fantastic. On top of picking us up at the boat, he offered multiple hikes for us, let us use his bikes, and started a fire for us before we got back. Could not recommend this place more!

  • The Tupshin Mtn House is an experience to savor for years to come. Bob and Tammy's amazing home is a treasure. Their attention to detail, expert craftsmanship and aesthetics are just the beginning... expert hosts in the true sense that they naturally strive to make everyone's stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The house comes with: a gorgeous, fully stocked kitchen ready to facilitate any meal you can dream up, bikes and helmets for all sizes. Best of all the house comes with Bob and Tammy who are willing and able to support you while visiting one of the most beautifully remote spots in Washington State. If you're interested in visiting Stehekin- do not hesitate to book a stay at the Tupshin Mtn House. Great location, gorgeous home and excellent hosts. Highly recommend to all!

  • If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful place to stay for your mountain lake retreat, look no further. This Air B&B is incredible on two counts: 1) the hosts (Bob and Tammy) are absolutely wonderful--they are the most welcoming people, and you can tell they are very kind and sincere. They will pick you up at the ferry, show you around, give you all the information you need about the house, and then let you relax (while only being an email away). They live a short distance away down the road if you need anything! Amazing. 2) The house is astounding. It is a straw bale/lime plaster construction with expert woodworking done by Bob and Tammy themselves! It is decorated with the most beautiful/charming/amusing/holistic decor, and has lots of accents of antique ski gear, climbing gear, and books/magazines on all kinds of adventure sports and local history. The house is fully stocked with board games and comes with a fireman's pole, a climbing rope, a climbing wall (yes, really!) and a swing all inside the living room!! The bathrooms are amazing, with an antique tub in one and a rain-shower/steam room in the other--HIGHLY recommend. The garden was in full bloom when we visited, and was truly a sight to see. If you are planning to go to Stehekin with a group and this Air B&B is available, book it.

  • We were a party of three including one husband and wife. They took the main house, and I took the studio. It was an absolutely fantastic arrangement! Stylish place(s), well appointed, everything screams of quality and authenticity. It was so hard to leave. Awesome little touches like a couple of Bluetooth speakers, coffee beans and filters, a high quality coffee grinder and coffee maker, etc. this place was so much better than we expected and was an awesome value for the comfort, style, and privacy it represents. This is one “medium” sized open space house and one “small” sized studio. It’s a 2-for-1. We will be back!!

    Stevie2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location meets incredible architecture and design. Best possible location being out of downtown but right next to downtown. Elevated guest bedroom was odd, but appreciated the pull-out couch in the petite suite.

    Aaron2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • I rented this place for my parents who were visiting from Virginia. They thoroughly enjoyed the views, comfortability and location. The keyless entry system is fantastic & relieves travellers from the stress of ‘where are the keys?’ The kitchen was well stocked and made cooking enjoyable. Both of my parents (who are in their early 70s) agree, they’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Location is perfect for walking into town - we suggest you try Kind Grinds (espresso), Copper Glance (spectacular mixed drinks - some invented on the spot), Rocking Horse Bakery, and for trail info and tickets, the Methow Ski Trails office. Dean was great suggesting things to do in the area. Awesome xc skiing!

  • Our room was absolutely perfect for our needs. Everything looked clean and new. The bed was very comfortable. Location was right downtown and close to everything. There was a lovely bridge that took us to a great trail for dog walking. We had the dog friendly room and the dog loved her bed and treats. There was a waste can outside which was very convenient. We’ll be back!

The cabin is on 10 acres. It is located in the beautiful Twisp river valley with wildlife all around. It is a rustic cabin with all the conveniences of home. This is a great get away place for a family looking to explore the outdoors, or hunting parties during the hunting season. You can hike, mountain bike, fish, hunt, river raft, atv, snow-machine, and ski. Just 15 minutes from the town of Twisp and 20 minutes from the Winthrop. This is a great place to play any season of the year.
When you arrive at the cabin there will be a circle drive for you to park several cars as well as recreational vehicles and small RVs you may bring. There is a "opening up the cabin" and "leaving the cabin" instructions on the main table in the cabin. It will give you the info you need for using the cabin. and bunkhouses. This is a rustic cabin with the warm log cabin feel, "but it is not a 5 star hotel".
The cabin is surrounded by trees and wildlife. The peace and quiet is refreshing. You can head up Newby Creek past our cabin to the national Forest Rd and explore for miles on ATV, mountain bike, or horseback. It is a recreation wonderland!
  • A wonderful relaxing adventure getaway

  • Anthony's cabin was a great place to camp out for a ski weekend in the Methow! It was cozy and well stocked with everything you could need - a full kitchen for making homemade meals, DVDs for movie watching (it was nice to be out of wifi!), and quiet mornings in the forest. The drive to and from the cabin offers spectacular views of the mountains, and being near Twisp was a huge perk - the bakery there is excellent! Would highly recommend as a place to stay for a weekend of getting out or staying in and relaxing.

  • Super cozy cabin with everything you would need! We really enjoyed all the beautiful snow and had a great time! Great communication from the owner as well.

    Jennifer2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing cabin!! Perfect spot up in the woods with no cell phone service or WiFi so we could unplug. They had a great collection of movies to watch. We stayed in the winter and while it was cold upon arrival the fireplace heated the place up pretty quickly and there was a lot of wood already chopped next to the fire for us. Nice hot shower with good water pressure. Highly recommend this air bnb. Anthony was easy to contact and quick to answer questions.

  • We loved our mountain getaway in the snow! Anthony was kind enough to get it all warmed up for us before we arrived. The cabin was well stocked - including games, movies and hot chocolate to enjoy on a snowy day.

    Keni2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our family greatly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was very comfortable and easy to keep warm, and there was a walking and skiing trail right across Newby Creek rd. I also loved relaxing on a couch in the windowed nook with the great selection of local maps that were at the cabin! Great open living room for young kids too. Many thanks!

Looking for something more adventurous than downtown Chelan hotel accommodations? Be our guest at our Lake Chelan waterfront summer cabin. Situated on 200 feet of waterfront and a 15 minute 4WD or AWD drive north of downtown Manson, our 2BR/1B cabin was remodeled in spring 2019 and backs to National Forest.
Our home is COVID-19 SAFE! Nearest full time neighbors are 1/8 of a mile away, power/water/sewer is all off grid, all surfaces are cleaned with antibacterial cleaning supplies. And we have ample TP/Paper Towel/Bottled water. Our 2BR/1B cabin sleeps up to 4 adults. There is one Sealy Posturepedic King bed in the common area and one Sealy Posturepedic Double Bed in the private guest bedroom. The living room features vintage furniture, a small kitchen, planked wood ceilings and is a great space for reading, games or unwinding. The cabin is set up for minimal food refrigeration and preparation. You have use of a fridge, gas stove and kettle, kitchen sink, and a Weber BBQ. There are plates, forks, glasses, etc., but no dishwasher nor laundry services. Dish soap and kitchen towels are provided. To make our guests comfortable, we provide fresh bath towels, linens, and some coffee. Basic toiletries are available upon request. Please note, the cabin is "off grid" and runs on solar power. You can charge your cell phones but should not use high power electronics. There is no TV. Outdoors, you have access to a private patio with private BBQ, private dock with two chairs/table and swim ladder, and private balcony. Close to both Chelan and Manson, our cabinis a great base camp to explore local wineries, bike, walk, hike, run, shop, taste, relax, and unwind... we look forward to hosting you.
Our community, Emerson Acres, is the final housing community before the power lines end on the North side of Lake Chelan. The cabins are rustic and the gravel roads can be steep, but this is a truly "one of a kind" side of Chelan everyone should experience!
  • This place is a GEM!!! I would stay here again in a heartbeat! They aren’t kidding about needing 4WD to get there and the views and stay are totally worth it. David was designated a superhost for a reason and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. What a beautiful hideaway tucked in the trees on the lake!

The health and safety of our guests, homeowners, and employees is our number one priority. Many of our vacation rentals minimize person-to-person contact with private amenities and entry via smart locks or lockboxes. Plus, each reservation is backed by 24/7 customer support and expert cleaning in line with current CDC guidelines.
Deepwater Cabin is a solid timber framed structure built into the mountain side on the edge of the National Forest in a true, remote wilderness area. It is one of the very last waterfront dwellings up-lake, to the Northwest, that is still accessible by car. The cabin's grass- and fern-covered sod roof blends into the vegetation of its perch on a rocky point surrounded by sparkling blue Lake Chelan waters. The location on a point gives expansive views up, down and across the lake. Deepwater is half an hours’ drive from Chelan, far from any town lights, so one can see countless brilliant stars on a typical clear night. Watch shooting stars under the Milky Way. In the day you will watch flocks of swallows swoop through the air catching insects, and osprey flying by, patrolling the shore for fish. To access the lake, a steep trail switches back through rocky terraces down to a solid, newly built stairway and dock. At the clear, deep waters edge, swimmers can launch into the refreshing blue depths. Boaters will have access to explore miles and miles of wilderness shoreline with a kayak, canoe or paddle board. Be aware that the lake access at Deepwater is very steep, so launching may be easier at the nearby 25 Mile State Park, a short paddle to the South. Inside, the cabin is classic, simple, and cozy, with big sunny windows and two double patio doors. The two wings provide a sleeping space and a living/dining area, with the bath and kitchen in between. The bathroom has a new washing machine and a shower with plenty of pressure; pure water pumped straight from Lake Chelan! There is a drying rack for your wet laundry, which solar drys quickly on a typical sunny blue sky day. The compact kitchen offers all major appliances offering all you need for great foodie meals, and the sunny, open patio is wonderful for reading, having meals and enjoying time together and an amazing place to chillax. A small gas grill awaits your steaks or brats, or the beautiful trout the fisher-persons in the party may bring up from the lake, where the big fish swim by the dock, hungry for worms. A very comfortable queen-size log bed will accommodate two, while the living/dining area features a brand new fold-out full-size sofabed and an older long sofa for lounging and sleeping, accommodating one or two extra persons. The cabin is most appropriate for a couple or small family, it can sleep up to four; ideally, family or close friends since there is little privacy here! It's best to bring your own sleeping bags for any more than two, since the linens provided are for the queen bed only. Please note: Deepwater is located on steep topography, not appropriate for unsupervised small children, but an extraordinary get away for adventurers and outdoor lovers ~ those who enjoy wilderness, silence, and simplicity. Be aware there is no internet available at this location, but there is a land line phone for emergency calls. Rattlesnakes, lynx, and mountain lions have been seen in the area, but are shy and eager to avoid people. Wild turkey and herds of deer are common. Beware the deer when driving South Lake Shore Road. The historic, scenic South Lake Shore Trail built in the 40s by the CCC parallels the lake shore and begins just a short walk away. Larger boats can be launched at Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park, which is less than a mile from the cabin. Miles of Forest Service logging roads meander the hills just behind the property, providing access to National Forest lands for mountain bikers to explore the unparalleled wilderness beauty above the lake. The town of Chelan has good restaurants, fun shops, a great health food store, and plenty of local wine tasting. The region has many wineries and vineyards, so you may want to take a day to sample the local fare. One day of your visit can be spent on the Lady of The Lake, the local ferry, going up-lake to the remote community of Stehekin, which has a great bakery and access to amazing hikes in the North Cascades National Park. Another day trip nearby could be to Holden Village, a Lutheran Camp 12 miles up into the mountains, which also can be reached on The Lady of the Lake ferry. This is a playful, festive intentional community which is open to guests and provides meals and full accommodations in a village that was once a thriving copper mine. Deep Water Cabin is an ideal setting to explore and play in the water and mountains, relax and refresh, and soak in the bright sunny skies and the vast deep blue beauty of the lake. Come enjoy a getaway in gorgeous Lake Chelan! * Please note: Minimum renter age is 25 years old. This applies to all guests that will be occupying the unit with the exception of multi-generational families. A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.
  • Great off season retreat. Extra quiet, great couples weekend spot

    Bjorn2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Deep Water Cabin is located right on the water and has spectacular views of Lake Chelan and the surrounding mountains. It is a cozy space to unplug and relax with all of the necessary amenities. We would love to come again!

    Jessica2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect if you’re looking for something quiet and secluded. No service, WiFi or TV. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. Will definitely be coming back!

    Jeff2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This spot was amazing. It is definitely as spectacular as it looks. If you want to get away, take in some stunning views, and stay in a comfortable/cozy home, this is the place for you!

    Phillip2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is an awesome place! The views of the lake are incredible. It is a 30 minute drive from downtown Chelan, but the remoteness is worth it! I would absolutely recommend staying here if you are looking for a getaway.

    Heather2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cabin in a beautiful location. It has everything you need for a quiet vacation away from it all. The town of Chelan is 30 minutes away in case you forget something or want to go out to eat. Highly recommend the River Walk Cafe for breakfast/brunch, especially the french toast. The trail from the cabin down to the jetty and lake is steep so do heed the owners' advice that the cabin is not suitable for those with young children, but for older children and adults, the jetty is great if you want to swim or kayak. Everything in the cabin worked great and we would definitely book again.

    Alison2019-09-30T00:00:00Z

Whatever the season, Skytop is the ideal base for your Methow Valley adventures. This rustically modern, wheelchair-friendly cottage feels remote, yet downtown Winthrop is a mere quarter-mile away. The new second-story Treehouse Suite (which rents for an additional $100 a night paid directly to the owner) features a gas fireplace and freestanding tub, allowing a second couple or generation to enjoy their privacy while sharing Skytop's kitchen, dining and entertainment space. (Sorry, no pets.)
The main cottage was completed in 2014, and a second bedroom -- the elegant Treehouse Suite -- added two years later. Skytop features recycled bowling-lane countertops, gas fireplace and patio barbecue, an extensive library and DVD collection, high-speed Wi-Fi, and even a resident celebrity: 'Sue', a replica of the Field Museum's famous T-Rex. The kitchen includes a gas range, microwave and dishwasher. The home is wheelchair-accessible, with minimal thresholds, wide doorways and a roll-in shower. The separate Treehouse Suite features a gas fireplace, freestanding tub and breathtaking second-story views. Skytop guests may rent the Treehouse for an addition $100 per night, paid directly to the owner. Skytop is close to great shops and restaurants, fly fishing, rafting, hiking, climbing, birdwatching, hot-air ballooning and 138 miles of mountain bike and cross-country skiing trails.
  • Skytop is eclectic and cool! The beautiful location and unique craftsmanship made for a fantastic weekend getaway not far from Winthrop’s many attractions! There’s really only one bedroom (plus hide-a-bed), so sleeping four adult women was a little packed, but we made it work. It would be ideal for a couple or perhaps a family whose kids could share the hide-a-bad. We didn’t use the additional space, so that’s another option that we might consider if we come again...which we hopefully will!

    Sheila2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place and perfect location with amazing views. Close to ski trails and walking distance to wine tasting. I would love to stay again!

    Michelle2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Views from the sink up valley, walking distance to town, sharp knives, handicap accessible (one level), custom furniture, and the trex. What more does one need for a ski weekend. 10 out of 10!

    Nigel2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don’t do Skytop justice. It’s an incredibly beautiful and functional space. Everything is thoughtfully laid out. So many lovely touches. We can’t wait to come back.

    Vanessa2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Skytop is a perfect launching spot for your Methow Valley adventures! A short walk to town and also to Methow Cycle & Sport, one could park at Skytop upon arrival and get around on brought or rented bikes the entirety of one’s stay. Cooks will enjoy Skytop’s fantastic kitchen - appointed with every needed cooking utensil pot or pan, and backlit, if you like, by a fabulous assortment of jazz/classical/1980s-90s pop music spinning in the CD changer. Be prepared for deer and raptor sightings, with the aid of binoculars and a Sibley’s guide for this purpose! If arriving in an EV car, bring your NEMA 14-50p adapter for the 50 amp outlet right in the driveway! If planning to XC ski, consider bringing a portable waxing table to set up in the carport or on the back porch. This wasn’t my first stay at Skytop and it won’t be my last!

    Jen2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Exquisite. It is an honor to stay in such a magnificently designed, five star home. Quick walk to Methow Bike and Sport, gorgeous surroundings, well appointed kitchen , fun to cook and serve a meal here. Brilliant aesthetic, a treat for any design addict to live in a well-designed space.

Kick back after a fun day on the Mountain. Relax in the hot tub, sit by the fire, or just admire the scenic Mountain views. Maybe treat your self to a aromatherapy bubble bath. Great space for 6 with the hide-a-bed fits 8.
  • The Cozy Cabin delivered on promised coziness in spades. We needed a family escape and were pleased to find the cabin last minute. We very much enjoyed the large open kitchen and made a few meals together. We enjoyed the hot tub a few times as well. There’s a large soaking bathtub with bath salts that was quite lovely. The couches in the living room were extremely comfortable. There’s plenty of games and dvds for entertainment. Just a short drive to Lake Wenatchee State Park. This stay was exactly what we needed and we will come back again. My 5 year old is already asking to come back :)

  • We've stayed at this cabin a couple times now for our yearly winter gathering. It's a great location not too far from Leavenworth and outdoor activities. The cabin itself is spacious and was plenty big enough for our party of 8. We dug out a path in the snow and found the firepit, so unless it snows a bunch more, that should be accessible now. The hot tub was wonderful and the beds were super comfy! We always enjoy our stay here!

    Liz2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could need. The appliances are really nice to boot. We loved the location being so close to Mazama and just 15 minutes to Winthrop. It was a very quiet and beautiful part of the Methow Valley. We stay in the area often and would absolutely stay here again.

  • Even after seeing the pictures and reading the views I was still wowed by this cabin. A lot of Airbnbs you feel like they have hidden away the "good stuff". Arlo has generously left the cabin just how you expect he would want it, and it's beautiful. The windows are great for watching the snow fall, and the soaking tub is lovely after a long ski. The neighborhood is friendly, super quiet and a nice place to walk and take in the moon and the trees. Trails are nearby in Mazama and Winthrop. The kitchen is set up for gourmet cooking. You definitely get what you pay for with this place. I hope to be back!

  • River Pines Inn unique setting right at river's edge within a minute's walk to town makes it an unbeatable place to stay. The rooms are modern, clean, comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The owner and manager are great people, and the view and access to trails and town make this a standout. Terrific accommodations and a tucked away hidden gem.

Doc Roy's Legacy is a child/pet free getaway for a couple to 'leave it all behind' and relax amongst the lapping waves and soaring eagles. Soak under a star-filled sky in the private hot tub or enjoy a grilled meal on the deck overlooking the lake.
Come on in and imagine the sound of 'loons' off in the distance just before sunset. The sound of the Bald Eagle just before it breaks the surface of the water catching its final meal of the day. As the sun sets, there is a tower of orange light glowing above the mountain and reflecting off that describes my first night on Fish Lake and the one I will always remember. This rustic cabin blends so well with the magical setting and is a delightful place to relax and unwind. It will take you back in time to recall days of leisure while on summer vacation at Grandpa's cabin. Bring your special someone, a game or two, hiking boots and experience some the time to recharge your batteries and discover something new about the one you bring with you, without any distractions from whence you came. If you really need some TV time, there is a flat screen TV w/DVD player for some movie watching. There are steep steps (like a ships ladder) to the loft overlooking the lake with a queen bed. If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, you can enjoy a remarkably cozy queen sofa sleeper. For added enjoyment you will find a Duraflame log to enhance the cozy. It is a very soothing way to spend your evening. (More available at the local stores or grab some on the way) There is a hammock by the lake that is a perfect place to catch up on some reading or that nap you have wanted to take. Doc Roy’s Legacy is a well-loved little cabin in the woods, on the lake and just a short trip back in time, we hope you will find this cabin as peaceful and enjoyable as we do. • If you’re looking for a serene getaway this cabin fits the bill. We stayed here for two nights and loved waking up to the view of the lake. It’s a short drive to Leavenworth for dinner or shopping. Though the cabin is equipped with everything you need to cook.

  • This is a fantastic place for a getaway. The lake is so serene and peaceful. Snuggling in cozy blankets by the wood stove and reading in the window seat couldn't have been more perfect. I highly recommend.

  • Lisa, Andie (and Wolfie) were the best hosts. We loved our stay here. Super comfortable and beautiful place, that was really clean! Location is amazing and the breakfast was incredible! - Brad

    Brad2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa's place is a beautiful home with a breathtaking view of Lake Wenatchee. Lisa and Andi go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. It is a convenient location for enjoying ski, bike, or hiking trails not far from Plain, Highway 2, or Leavenworth. I highly recommend staying at Lisa's place.

    Teanna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa is an outstanding host, her home has an a great view over the lake.

    Jose2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa makes every effort to make the stay enjoyable including a home cooked breakfast. She is personable and friendly but not intrusive. The view from the main room is amazing overlooking Lake Wenatchee. Our room was comfortable and charming with a nice soft bed. I am sure this location will be booked solid on a frequent basis as Lisa is continuing to fine tune her lodge and adding a hot tub.

    Cheryl2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very enjoyable stay at Lisa’s place. If I was staying in the area again, would definitely book again.

    Larsen2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa and Andie were tremendous hosts! They were respectful of our privacy and super friendly when we were up for some chatting. Genuinely great people!

    Lauren2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous setting and home, kayaks to use (our stay was too short this time...we’ll have to come back for kayaking), extremely clean house, high quality homemade breakfast, and very kind and thoughtful hosts. Absolutely would stay again.

    Emma2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This house is gorgeous, with a lovely view of Lake Wenatchee. Lisa and Andie are truly superlative hosts... kind, gracious, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast each morning was hot, hearty & tasty. Such a treat to be waited on! The bed was comfortable, and the common living room, kitchen & media room spaces were cozy & inviting. If having a private bath is important, you might want to request the upstairs room with a private bath. We had the downstairs room with a bath right next door that we had to ourselves the 1st night, and shared with another couple the 2nd night we were there. Lake Wenatchee is beautiful & peaceful - about 20 miles from Leavenworth. I would highly recommend this place!

  • Blair’s place was a perfect place for our family of 3. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed it very much. Great location, great view, very clean, great layout, pretty of counter space, and quick communication. We stayed many AirBnB in Mazama/Winthrop area and this is definitely one of the top. Highly recommend.

    Kazue2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay. The house has amazing views and we loved using the wood fire hot tub. We had a great time XC skiing in beautiful sunny weather. This was our second visit and we will be back!

    Jeff2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Soulful home with a great view of Lucky Jim (mountain face across the valley). Very steep last couple hundred yards, need good power, good tires, and four wheel drive in the snow. The beds were a little hard for our taste, but if you ski enough during the day you can make it through the night. Well appointed home with everything you could need, except privacy in the bedrooms (the walls don't go all the way to the ceiling, so for sound, it's all one room). We loved our two weeks there and plan to go back.

    John2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful well architected cabin nestled on the side of a mountain. Perfect.

    David2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent 3 night stay in the Howe cabin. The solitude, dark night skies filled with stars, and outstanding views of the upper Methow valley were a fantastic backdrop for our little family trip. We loved that the home is passive solar and has a green roof, it provides great inspiration for eco friendly design. Thank you for sharing your very special space.

Gorgeous Views from this Lakefront Cottage with Private Beach
Welcome to “Cedar Cove Cottage”...a perfect place to get away from it all!  Resting on the shores of beautiful Lake Wenatchee, this cottage is sure to please those here to relax, as well as, those looking for an adventure.  In warmer months, the lake is a fantastic place to cool off and have fun with your preferred water toys. Afterwards, fire up the BBQ and grill your favorite summer time fare on the large deck that looks out onto the water, just a few feet away.  In winter, you will surely enjoy the snow capped mountains just beyond the lake, while sitting cozily in the living room with the wood stove keeping you warm. The main level has an open floor plan, so the cooks in the well appointed kitchen can still socialize with the rest of the group, where there is plenty of seating for all. The main floor has a bedroom, a bathroom and a sofa-sleeper (with the best view of the lake) in the living room, along with a laundry closet, the kitchen and the dining area where there is deck access. The loft area upstairs has a couple reclining chairs and a TV for those who want to enjoy a movie. The other two bedrooms are off to each side of the loft and provide for a peaceful night’s sleep in the comfortable beds. PLEASE NOTE:  There is no air conditioning in this home.  Fans are provided for your comfort. Note: Pets allowed, with a 2 pet maximum. There is a pet fee of $50 per pet, per stay (plus tax, service fee) that will be applied after booking. Guests must message host at time of booking when planning on bringing pets. During summer months, there is a burn ban that goes into effect for all of Chelan County, due to high risk of fire danger. During the ban, it could be that there are no campfires, use of charcoal briquettes or any other form of burning allowed outdoors at this property.  In winter time, when there is snow on the ground, the driveway can be difficult to navigate and we may ask that you park at the top of the driveway.  There is designated parking at the top of the sloped driveway for two cars and you would need to walk down with belongings (approx. 200 feet) to the cottage.  We suggest you consider this when making a decision to reserve from late October through April.
Nearby is opportunity for outdoor fun year round. Lake Wenatchee State park is just 5 minutes away with a playground for the kiddos.  There is also a horseback riding outfitter within the park. Take a short drive to explore the local hiking trails or head on over for a round of golf or XC skiing at Kahler Glen Golf & Ski Resort. Stevens Pass is about half hour away and downtown Leavenworth is 21.3 miles from this home. What are you waiting for?

  • We actually had a change of plans and weren’t able to stay at this cabin but we felt at least we should give a great rating for the communication and its location and for the price. Our ski team has used their accommodations and we love it.

    Steve2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had the entire cabin to ourselves. The only downfall was that it was one common area with a couch and bed that the 4 of us had to share so there wasn’t much privacy! I never had to wait to use the bathroom but we were also right next to the public restrooms downtown. There was a trail that lead from the Hostel to downtown which was a perfect 30 second walk to breakfast, shopping, bathrooms, or coffee! A very beautiful area and we had a wonderful stay! The room was a little dirty but nothing bad. We had our own mini fridge, microwave, and patio furniture. We are definitely staying again!

  • Fish Lake Loft was everything and more. The location was perfect for our skiing trip to Stevens Pass and visiting Leavenworth. The loft was beautiful and newly built. The space involves quite a few stairs as the living area was upstairs, but very comfortable and very clean. The kitchen was nicely stocked and had all the amenities. Just bring your own food! I would definitely want to return in the summer or fall next time. Sea to Sky rentals were very responsive to our questions. I would use them again.

    Kristin2018-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful location with an awesome hot tub (super fun to stay toasty warm in the hot tub while it snows!) Reasonable distance to Leavenworth and the location was nice and quiet.

    Beth2018-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • The house is so peaceful, you'll immediately relax upon arrival. Enjoy the lake view while you soak in the hot tub. Kitchen has everything you'd need to cook. The house is very private as it sits at the end of a driveway with lots of trees on one side, a quiet neighbor on the other, and the lake in front. Plenty of blankets, pillows, and towels to be comfortable and warm. The house was super fresh and clean!

A truly unique cabin on the river.
Over the mountains and through the woods, to Grandmother`s house we go! Welcome the “Granny`s on the River”, where we invite you to experience country living at it`s finest. Built in 1984, this family heirloom cabin rests in a forested setting on the banks of the beautiful Chiwawa River and will surely create a sense of nostalgia while providing you with all the comforts of home. From the antique phone on the wall, to the collection of classic children`s books in the guest room upstairs, this cabin will surely transport you back to a simpler time where we were unplugged and spent time with family and friends. The open kitchen, living room and dining area will make for easy conversations and enjoying each others company while preparing meals, playing games or cheering on your favorite sports team during the big game. For those wanting to enjoy a nice soak after a fun-filled day of adventure, there is a large, private enclosed hot tub adjacent to the home. When you are ready to call it a night, there is a guest room just off the kitchen and a sofa sleeper in the living area on the main level, or you can head up stairs to find a second guest room and the master bedroom. It`s only fair to warn you, you may have a fight on your hands once you see the final sleeping option...a king bed out on the covered deck of the master bedroom. Imagine sleeping outdoors with the added protection of a roof overhead, screens to keep the bugs away and listening to the sound of the river just 30 feet away. For those feeling really adventurous, you can even sleep outside in the winter months under extra bedding and the added electric blanket to keep you warm. Granny’s on the River is a wonderfully unique place to stay and a great place to create your own lasting memories. Note: Pets allowed, with a 3 pet maximum. Other Special Features: -Hammock -Portable AC unit in upstairs bedroom seasonally. -Fans provided. -Plenty of outdoor seating. -Outdoor grill w/propane provided. -Gas fireplace.
Downtown Leavenworth is 19 miles away and Stevens Pass is just 29.8 miles from the cabin. The cute town of Plain with basic amenities is just under 5 miles away.
  • The cabin was perfectly cozy for our group of 7. The hot tub was the star of the weekend after spending each day on the slopes at the nearby Stevens Pass. We loved how it was completed enclosed in a private hut and had cute mood lighting. It was wonderful to be just steps from the river and spent some time lounging in the hammock and porch listening to the sounds. None of us braved the cold to sleep in enclosed porch but we were certainly tempted. We hope to return in the warmer months to give it a try. There were no real negatives about the cabin but a few things to keep in mind: we couldn't find any cooking oil, you will need to hand wash your dishes, the upstairs shower is a tight squeeze and pillows were on the softer side. All in all we had quite the relaxing weekend and I am happy with our choice to stay here! The location was perfect for our needs.

  • Comfortable cabin, we had a great time.

    Hayden2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing. The outside bedroom was breathtaking. Even though it was winter the heated bed kept us warm and we were able to listen to the river and wake up to it snowing while still feeling like we were sleeping outside. Hot tub was perfect and even though everything was covered in snow, they had the fire pit clear so we could have a bonfire and the bbq grill worked great for our winter cabin getaway. Highly recommend

  • We had a wonderful stay! Very cozy, and the hot tub is amazing! The river around the house was peaceful and very relaxing. Communication with LoveLeavenworth was so easy and they responded very quickly to questions. Thank you so much! We hope to visit again! :)

  • Great place! The outside bed was super cool when it was snowing outside.

    Kamin2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was a beautiful place to stay for our anniversary! The hot tub was soothing after a long day of snowboarding and the roads were always paid. There were so many beds to choose from! It was a little too cold to sleep outside but the main bedroom was so comfy! We will defined be back!!!!

    Ashlee2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Granny’s cabin on the river was an excellent choice for our family. The winter nights and snow made it fun the activities around Leavenworth work excellent and it was nice to come home to a huge hot tub to relax after a long day of snowmobiling. We had a small incident with the grill and Sean was very helpful and apologetic for what had happened and took care of it. Immediately. I highly recommend this cabin and location or any family events

    Tom2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable place. Highlights were the big hot tub in a yurt outside and the really cool semi-outdoor bedroom upstairs with heated mattress. Definitely recommend this spot!

Canoe Cove is luxury in the wilderness. Stay at this nicely updated waterfront view home on Lake Wenatchee, with it's own dock! This home includes a large deck, private beach on 100 feet of waterfront, HOT TUB & barrel sauna with window view of the lake. Recreation heaven near Leavenworth, Stevens Pass, with hiking, snowmobiling, horse trails, snow shoe trails, and Kahler Glen Golf Course with plenty of X/C skiing (w/rentals) in winter. Winter visitors must be prepared for slippery conditions.
Nestled between Steven's Pass Ski Resort and the beautiful towns of Leavenworth and Plain this is the place to be for fun and relaxation all year round. The home is built into the granite cliff overlooking Lake Wenatchee. Guests will need to walk down three flights of stairs to get to the home where the expansive lakefront view of the Alpine Lake and Mountains in the distance take your breath away. The home heats up quickly and the kitchen is well stocked for your needs. Plenty of blankets, books and fun games to keep you cozy. Leavenworth is just 25 minutes away and Stevens Pass only 25 minutes away the other direction! Leavenworth is a darling Bavarian village filled with restaurants, wine tasting, shopping, a family ski and tubing hill, a beautiful walk near the river downtown and every amenity! Stevens Pass offers a variety of alpine ski runs ranging from beginner to advanced. Stevens is a day resort with some good restaurants for anyone skiing or not. Night skiing is offered until 10pm most days (except Tues and Weds) during mid-season. Mission Ridge is about an hour away and our favorite place to ski as a family. Way less people in line! Lake Wenatchee is a Glacier-fed Alpine Lake that you can actually stay on which is rare and special. The waters are crystal clear blue and the mountains resemble the great Alps of Europe.
  • Spent the weekend here with a few close friends and enjoyed all that the cabin had to offer. Worth the stay and loved the views. The hosts were very communicative and helpful when I had questions. Overall a great experience.

    Micaela2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel was an incredible host with an amazing sense of hospitality. She was very reactive to the various questions we had during our stay and provided great recommendations for things to do around the cabin. Her place is a real haven of peace in the middle of the forest with a direct access to the lake. We felt like home during our entire stay I highly recommend to stay there.

    Noah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel’s place was everything we’d hoped for and we felt welcomed and at ease. Communication leading up to the trip and all the notes were so helpful. We had a great time skiing Steven’s, exploring Leavenworth, snowshoeing at the park, and warming up in the hot tub/sauna. Personal touches help make this place so special, along with the stunning setting and just the right amount of relaxation, adventure, and creature comforts. We couldn’t be happier about the stay and everyone had a great time! We feel so lucky to know about Canoe Cove!

    Hanna2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot. The trek down was treacherous with our kids and stuff but we had read and were prepared. The little slip on booties were helpful and a nice touch. We played lots of games, hung out in the hot tub, used the sauna (so relaxing!) and tromped in the snow. Just a couple minutes and we were at the sledding hill at lake Wenatchee state park and about 12ish minutes we were at the Plain store picking up some wine and Mac and cheese. Was an excellent winter get away for our family of four.

    Jennifer2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome and so pretty! If you are looking for a cabin in the woods this is your spot. Get there does take time in the winter with all the stairs, but it is still worth it!

    Blair2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Enchanting, thoughtful, and cozy. A special place.

    Brian2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing, Rachael is an amazing host, super prompt responses, check in was a breeze, the place is beautiful, and it has everything you need. The highlights of this place are the hot tub (especially in the rain/snow) and the bubble sauna is so cool!!! I purposed to my girlfriend here and it was a great experience all around. We’ll be coming back for sure to relive the weekend. Thanks!

    Charles2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • My wife, infant son, and I wanted a quick weekend getaway, and this place was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed gorgeous views of the lake, beautiful hikes, and a trip over to Leavenworth for the day. There is so much to do and Rachel had great recommendations. The hot tub and sauna made for a perfect, relaxing end to each day. The sauna, in particular, was a highlight. We highly recommend this place and look forward to a return trip some time soon.

  • This house is AMAZING. Gorgeous view, huge deck + hot tub. The house itself is very spacious, well stocked and very clean. Will definitely be back.

  • Clean, well stocked with the essentials. Especially kitchen supplies. I do recommend getting groceries before head up the closet store is about 25min away. Plus the home is so beautiful tou wont want to leave. Enjoy all the games or movies on the huge tv. The hot tub was the cherry on top. Perfect for the cold November days!

  • Super clean home, well appointed kitchen, beautiful view from the deck & hot tub ! That’s about all you need for a great get away

    Kendra2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and a great space for relaxing and taking in the view. Lots of nice touches with plenty of games, beach toys and things for the kids to do - when they are not in the hot-tub! Lovely grounds to explore as well.

    Nicholas2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This house is very user & family friendly! Excellent view. Great deck, ping pong, movie selection, game selection, foosball & very well maintained hot tub. Kitchen has all the goods for cooking. This place is a little hard to find. When coming from Lake Chelan look for The Coes- family sign & turn left up this drive. Go straight past the grey house on your left. Turn left. You will see the Vacasa sign & you will know you are on the right drive. If you are passing the rooster on your right, you just missed the driveway. This house is professionally maintained, very clean & well suited for large groups. Our family of four had everything we needed. Come with groceries as the store is way back in Lake Chelan. This is an easy house to just hang out in.

  • This home is perfect. Perfectly located and easy to find. You walk into the home and are welcomed with the most amazing lake views! The home is also stocked with everything you could ever think of. We like to cook meals when we travel, and this home has everything you could ever need for cooking, they even keep a stocked spice cabinet! I was really wowed by how much this home had to offer- the hot tub, the closet full of board games, the beautiful master bathroom! We felt very welcomed. I was also impressed with how clean the home was. This has definitely been one of the best rentals we’ve came across. Highly recommended!

My home is high above the Chewuch River just 3 miles outside of Winthrop, WA. My AirBnB space is a daylight basement apartment, consisting of two bedrooms, a sitting room with reading area, propane heater, plenty of lighting and a mini-kitchen (sink is in an adjacent room,) a bathroom and laundry room. The mini-kitchen includes a fridge, microwave, hot plate, electric kettle, French press, dishes, flatware, mugs and glasses. In summer and fall, use of the patio and propane grill are welcome.
Dogs are welcome upon request and approval by host, with an additional charge of $10/visit or $25/week. Please note: any dog must be well-socialized with people and other dogs, non-destructive, and house-trained. I have two large, friendly dogs, although they will bark upon your arrival--just their way of greeting you! IMPORTANT: my property is not secured by a fence, so any dog must be able to stay close to the house in a new environment. Coyotes are indigenous residents, so tying a dog outside to keep it contained is NOT recommended. PLEASE NOTE: no dogs are allowed to stay alone in the unit unsupervised, i.e. you must take your dog with you when you are out during the day or provide a secure kennel.
Our home is located at the very end of a well-maintained unpaved road. It is regularly plowed in winter, but all-wheel drive is recommended during the winter months. My house is only 3 miles from town, yet has all the ambiance of a private retreat in the mountains. All neighbors on my road live here full time and emergency numbers will be made available if the proprietor is off-premises. Winthrop itself has several restaurants, including the ever-popular Rockinghorse Bakery and coffee shop, the Old Schoolhouse Brewery with its own beers and The Cider House with its own hard ciders. Trail's End Bookstore is excellent and the three outdoor equipment stores (Winthrop Mountain Sports, The Cascade Outdoor Store, and Methow Sport and Cycle) are excellent as well. There is a grocery store 3.5 miles from my house, and an organic food market 10 miles away, in the town of Twisp.
  • The view is amazing! Peggy and David are wonderful people and so kind. My family of 4 stayed in their downstairs apt and it had everything we needed. The mud room is a great added benefit so we didn’t have to take all our snow gear off inside the apt or outside. Our dog also had an amazing time and was able to run free and play with their dogs. Their property is up just a few miles from town and so quiet. They have a patio that you can sit on and just bask in the sun and look down at the river and at the mountains. The mini kitchen had everything we needed to eat all our meals at the house. By far one of the best places we have stayed in on Airbnb.

  • Lisa is a fantastic host and her home is beautiful! Spectacular views of Lake Wenatchee and a delicious breakfast were icing on the cake!

    Samuel2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa and Andie are great hosts. The facilities were clean and very comfortable (breakfast was excellent), and they were able to help my friend and I find nearby places to rent cross-country skis. Andie even took my friend out cross-country skiing one morning when we were there, so that she could try practicing it more. When I was looking at places to stay in the vicinity of Leavenworth, I was debating about whether to stay at Lisa and Andie's place or a hotel in Wenatchee. I'm *so glad* that we went with Lisa and Andie's place! The house's picturesque scenery and Lisa and Andie's friendliness and hospitality really made our visit special. I'll definitely be staying with them again when I'm next in the area.

  • Our family had a wonderful stay at Lisa and Andi’s. The home is spotless, with great shared spaces, including a living room with big picture windows that face the lake. Lisa and Andi made us feel very welcome. They made delicious breakfasts for us, provided coffee, tea, and treats. They offered us kayaks to use on the lake, but we opted for a hike instead. Lake Wenatchee is a beautiful area, and is only a half an hour from Leavenworth. We were so glad we stayed at Lisa and Andi’s and were able to enjoy the natural beauty near their place. This is a great place for a nice getaway.

  • This cabin is amazing! So super comfortable and well decorated. Everything is clean and new and cozy. A previous reviewer mentioned that the beds weren't comfortable (I actually almost picked a different place for that reason), but I highly disagree. The beds were very comfortable, as was the entire place! Great location as well. We will definitely be back!

  • We adored Carry's cabin! The cabin was sparkling clean, extremely cozy and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. We were very happy with our stay and would absolutely love to come back.

  • This cabin has everything you need - two comfy beds, a large couch and living space, a fully outfitted kitchen, and easy mud room/entry for your ski stuff. Plenty of towels, easy parking, and great location to explore the Methow Valley.

  • You will love Carry’s place. The location is perfect - four minutes to the Mazama Store and proximity to trailheads, ten minutes to Winthrop and all its shops and restaurants. The cabin itself is beautiful - vaulted ceilings, fireplace, very well-equipped kitchen. There is plenty of comfortable seating around the fireplace and the dining table. Both bedrooms have bedside tables and lamps on both sides of the bed. Great bathrooms/showers, soft towels. Carry truly deserves the Super Host designation. Make sure you try the baguettes and pastries at the Mazama Store. We loved having drinks outside by the lovely pond with views at the Freestone Inn, Jack was a great bartender. Make sure you read Carry’s restaurant recommendations in the comprehensive binder she’s created. Spot on! Thanks, Carry, for a lovely stay.

  • Beautiful home. Plenty of room, blankets, towels and kitchen necessities. We cooked meals and felt at home on vacation. So close to the Mazama store as well as the town of Winthrop. Excellent communication from the owners. I highly recommend this property.

  • The North Cascades Mountain Hostel is everything you can hope for in a hostel squarely located in all the fun with guests who are taking full advantage of the area. It's energetic and well organized with comfy beds. The hosts live on site and are regularly in and out. They are a terrific resource and fun to chat with. We highly recommend it.

  • Much nicer than many hostels I’ve been to. Had everything all laid out for us and check-in was flexible and easy. Great space to stay and meet other people hiking in the area!
