Vicki and Skip are amazing. The place is great. We were the last ones of the season and it was cold and rainy. They drove our bags to the room on a ATV, the heater warmed the place up nice. All around great affordable choice. Ow ya, the animals are super fun too!

I was looking to escape the busyness of life and relax for a weekend and Vicki and Skip's little cabin was everything I hoped for! They truly could not have been any nicer! When my plans changed very last minute and unexpectedly she was very accommodating and understanding. Vicki was always very quick to respond and knew the surrounding areas well. She gave me great suggestions when I asked :) She also has the cabin stocked with travel brochures and maps of the areas. The cabin is adorable and so clean! In the mornings I enjoyed having my cup of coffee on the little front porch and listening to the animals in the barn and at night I loved making a fire in the pit and relaxing with the stillness of the pond. The outdoor shower was very cool and felt great. I loved all the animals! Skip was so nice to bring me into their barn and in with the sheep, alpacas, goat and donkeys. I loved how the chickens would just run around on the property! If you are looking to feel secluded but not lost and one with nature but not without basic comforts, this is your place to be! It was such an peaceful weekend and awesome experience that I won't forgot :)

We had just one night at the farm but it was lovely. Vicki has created a charming cottage in a nice country setting. Perfect.

Vicki's place was an amazing experience for a peaceful stay in the Castkills. The tiny home was perfect for a night or two. We loved the setting by the pond and simple amenities. Vicki and Skip were extremely hospitable and kind. They treated us like old friends or family! We'd definitely stay here again to see our hosts and all their wonderful animals.

Vicki’s place was perfect! We loved the peacefulness of our little cabin along with great views of the farm animals (which we visited as much as possible :) If you want a really memorable trip and maybe even an autograph from a celebrity chicken, Vicky’s place will be a dream come true!

Vicki and Skip's cottage was on a beautiful pond. The amenities were excellent, the space was very clean and they were wonderful hosts. The accommodations were perfect for me and my dog. Would go back/recommend 100%.

Fantastic place, very cozy, clean and comfortable. Great to get away from the city. Kaaterskill fallsare just 40 mins away. There is a supermarket in town about 5 mins driving. And another bigger supermarket, farmacy and liquor store about 20 mins driving. Local pub is 5 mins away! Great bbq area , you can prepare your meal. Really nice place, definitely will be back. Vicki is a great host, very kind and helpful

This is a 2 bedroom place with a living room, gas fireplace, couch, kitchen, and bathroom. There is enough stuff around that it seems like someone is here often. The beds were fine -covered in plastic, an understandable precaution, sheets were clean and blankets available. The heat was turned up very high when we arrived but we were able to alter it on the thermostat. It is simple, not too far from the highway, and is a new build as people mentioned. I'm not sure why the stickers are still on the windows, etc, but it wasn't an issue. I think it was a perfect pit stop.

The Residency Building at Freehold Art Exchange was a great stay, I had good communication with Piper, the host. The bedrooms are well-sized, private, warm, and welcoming, and the radiant heat of the floors on the first floor was a nice touch. There were plenty of basics in the kitchen to choose from if you didn't want to go out to eat, and the grocery store is basically next-door when we wanted to cook in! Outside the building they are still working on a ramp to make it fully ADA-accessible but on the inside the first floor is definitely built with accessibility in mind! The views from all rooms are lovely, and we felt very welcomed. We got a tour of the barn/studios, and it looks like Freehold Art Exchange is a great resource for local and international artists! I would recommend this place for people interested in supporting the arts from a great Catskill mountain vacation spot!

Our stay was fabulous! Checking in was hassle free, Piper (host) was very responsive, the accommodation were extremely cozy and with all the amenities. If you don’t feel like going out to eat everything you need is in the kitchen to cook your own meal. The place was recently done and it came out so awesome. The polished concrete floors looked spectacular, with radiant heat in them as well, and every room had their own Heat/ AC units to accommodate each guest likes. The 2 full bath rooms were clean and spacious, not to mention the lower was handicap complaint. Can’t wait to visit again soon. Thank you Piper for sharing your lovely place!

The residence at the Freehold Art Exchange (FAEx) is located on a farm-like property converted to an artists' residency center. The residence building is a private, separate building on the property. It is newly constructed with an eclectic, creative design. One of the coolest Airbnb's I've stayed in. We immediately felt right at home. The entire place was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies if you wish to use them. Plenty of fresh towels and linens were available. Beds were comfortable. All rooms are spacious: bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living area. There were only two of us, but the residence can very comfortably sleep six people. Bathroom on the ground floor was designed for wheelchair accessibility. My communication with Piper, the property owner was above and beyond thorough and friendly. I would definitely stay at this property again. We were two friends coming upstate for a ski weekend. Windham Mountain is a 25 minute drive away, Hunter Mountain is 35 minutes away. The nearby town of Cairo, about a 10 minute drive from FAEx, has all your basic needs: grocery, gas, pharmacy, etc.

Loved this place so much! It’s so roomy yet cozy and the fireplace was the perfect touch since it was so cold outside. I would suggest bringing drinking water as the tap water has a sulfur smell, but other than that everything you need is already provided! Cannot wait to stay again!

Amazing, peaceful stay.... the owner of this house is extremely accommodating and very easy to get in touch with....25 minutes from windham and 40 minutes from hunter!!!! I will def be staying here again !

Kliment’s house was great. He was flexible and very easy to communicate with. Check-in and check-out was very easy. Perfect getaway from the city and would happily stay there again!

The place is beautiful and in a quiet and very scenic location. Great view of the mountains and the perfect setting for total relaxation! Everything was super clean and comfortable. The wood burning stove was amazing in winter and kept us warm and toasty! The kitchen it beautiful and perfect if you are looking forward to doing any cooking or baking! I would absolutely recommend this place for a quiet getaway from the city. Cute towns and historic sights are also a close drive away.

Kliment's house is an awesome little spot, tucked away from the rest of the world. The house is quaint and has an awesome wood stove which was great during the winter. Due to bad weather, my girlfriend and I were forced to stay in on our trip but the house was very homey and comfortable. Highly recommend for those looking for a weekend getaway from the city.

I found Larissa's property at the absolute last minute when the place I was originally going to stay at cancelled on me. Larissa was extremely accommodating, and it turned out to be the best change of events that weekend! It's the perfect size for a group of 4, and not too far from Windham. We were easily able to grab some dinner and pick up some beer along the way. The cabin was clean and warm, and stocked with plenty of firewood to breathe life into our aching bodies. We all had warm showers and were able to go to bed relaxed and content. In the morning, the sounds of the animals greeted us as well as the sight of Blue hard at work on the farm. Larissa met us to give us a quick but up close tour of the farm, which was by far the coolest experience of any Airbnb. I highly recommend this stay! Truly great all year around. Our family of 3 had a great time at Larissa‘s place. It is exactly as described. We loved feeding the animals during the day, my son took horse riding lessons and in the evening we enjoyed sitting in front of the stove. Not having WiFi was the best! :) it really helped us come down and relax. There are lots of books, puzzles and games to enjoy. Even the rain and cold wind couldn’t stop us from having so much fun up there. We would definitely come back again.

We came here with our two year old daughter and 7 months old baby. Our 2 year old loved all the animals. Larissa showed us around after we arrived, and the next day she brought out treats so our girl can feed the goats and sheep. She had a blast! Larissa was a great host - super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. She was also very knowledgeable on the animals, we learned a lot about goats and sheep and chicken through our conversations while our daughter was happily feeding them. We will definitely come back during the fall when it's less cold.

My friend and I wanted an escape from the city for a weekend, and I am so glad we found Larissa's place because it was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Larissa met us the morning after we arrived to give us a tour and introduce us to all of the animals. I'm very comfortable around animals because I grew up working on horse farms, but you can tell that Larissa is very sensitive to and patient with anyone who might not be! It is also obvious that all of the animals are well-loved and cared for. The space itself (I guess you'd call it an apartment) was extremely cozy (we loved building fires in the wood stove!) and had everything we needed to cook simple meals during our time there. You can save your veggie scraps to feed to the animals, too! There is no WiFi or a TV and cell reception is spotty, but this was what we wanted. From my room you had views of the pastures which was lovely to wake up to. There's a really nice, short trail that goes all the way around the back of the property that was nice to explore as well. The place is accessible to plenty of small towns nearby (as well as hikes), and Larissa has lots of helpful tips about local farms to buy local produce, cider, and dairy from. We had the BEST time - truly, a wonderful, relaxing retreat - and my only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! I very much look forward to coming back!

We had a really wonderful time at the farm! Everything was as the thorough description stated, plus Larissa sent more information a few days before our stay. We went with our almost two year old son and he loved all the animals! It was great to be able to experience a small taste of farm life and to get to be so close to all the animals. Larissa was a great hostess and tour guide and super patient. She had lots of local recommendations which we took advantage of - boehm farm had delicious cider donuts and affordable apple picking. You could tell the apartment had been recently renovated. There were smores sticks which we took advantage of and had a sunset fire in the firepit. Was really a fun experience and recommend it!

We had a wonderful stay at Pamela's beautiful country estate apartment. The home was clean, cozy and very comfortable and spacious for a group of 4. We liked it so much we extended our stay an extra night and Pamela was able to accommodate that. Thank you! We would definitely stay here again.

This was a last minute trip for our family of 5, and Pam’s place was really an amazing find. It was spotless clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and good quality linens with all the basic supplies you can think of. Everything was really outstanding in a beautiful property.

Pamela's place is wonderful. The house is beautiful. The setting is quiet, surrounded by a beautiful landscape. The apartment is sparkling clean and furnished really comfortably. There was everything needed for my friends and I to prepare some food, a big table to eat at, and comfy chairs to sit and chat in. The beds are beautiful, clean and comfortable. And there was coffee for the morning. Pamela was a wonderful host and was lovely to communicate with. We'd love to come back when again.

Great stay for a weekend getaway from city life.

The house is beautiful and very comfortable. We appreciated nice touches for families - some toys, bunk beds, an outdoor swing set. It's a short drive from Windham Mountain and slightly longer drive from Hunter. There's a beautiful screened-in porch which we didn't use (February stay!) but which would be glorious in slightly warmer weather.

Great place. Everything as described. Host had local tips available and left a bottle of wine for us. Checkin was super easy with smart lock. Quick response when I sent a message. Only issue was cell service in the area and the wifi. Both spotty.

The house has an amazing kitchen, dining room area that is great for family time. If you are not into cooking though, there really isn't much of a living room situation. House is stylish, clean, and great for a weekend stay! Would definitely stay there again.

The place was lovely - very clean and spacious. We loved the kitchen! The only thing we had an issue with was the dining room lights - they were too dim. The lights seem more for decor, not really functional. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. We can see us coming back here in the spring/summer and enjoy the outdoor space.

We had such a wonderful stay in this house for one night. The space was fantastic with an absolutely gorgeous kitchen and dining area with a large table, perfect for conversation or card games after food. As well, all the rooms were very spacious and comfortable, and the location was top notch. If you're staying in the area or visiting for Sheep and Wool festival, this is definitely a fantastic place to stay with a wonderful host!

This house is spacious and inviting inside and out. Lots of elbow room. Although it was too cold to be outdoors when we were there there is a lots of outdoor living space too (screened in porch, an outdoor porch, a fire pit). The property is fairly large, and it is mowed, attracting lots of animal and bird activity. It is simply and tastefully appointed and we would definitely stay here again.

What an incredible stay we had at Sarah's place! It was our first weekend away as a family of four and we so appreciated all of the kid-friendly amenities (toys, playground, books, crib, etc.) You have no choice but to relax and unwind in this gorgeous space; we didn't even have to leave the house with the exception of a wedding one evening. The only downside is the sulfur water but it was more than manageable having brought a case of bottled water. We'll definitely be returning!

The house was welcoming, clean and they left us a nice Halloween surprise! We were so excited to walk down the street and meet the cows the next day! The Catskills did not disappoint with their gorgeous fall foliage, rolling hills and fun events. Thanks so much for a great place to stay Liat!

This is the second time we have stayed with Sue & Steve. They wonderful hosts and their home is very charming. I hope to be able to stay gain next year.

This is a wonderful place to stay in the New York Capitol/Catskill region. Susan and Steve are warm, generous, attentive hosts who will make sure you have everything you need. You will absolutely love their beautifully restored old farmhouse, which comes with big decks and gorgeous views. All the rooms and bedrooms are extremely comfortable, and you should not pass up Steve's awesome french toast! This is a great value in rural NY state just 25 miles from Albany.

If you are hesitant in booking a place where you don't get to have the entire house to yourself and instead just rent a room while the owners are present, there is no need to worry here. Susan and Steve have created an atmosphere where you will feel as if you were staying with friends or family. They are the nicest people one can hope to meet. They take the word "hosts" very seriously. Sure, they will still give you the privacy and freedom you would expect from staying at a hotel or having a whole place to yourself. But it's their kindness, fun spirit and overall good nature that won us over immediately and just made our trip way better than we could have ever hoped for. We had great talks in the morning on their little stone patio, over their delicious coffee and breakfast, while being entertained by the variety of birds surrounding us. Their property is absolutely GORGEOUS and filled with charm. We cannot recommend this enough!!! We were in town for a wedding at the Sunny Hill Resort, which is only half a mile from their house and borderline walking distance. We are so glad we stayed with Susan and Steve instead of at the resort. It was cheaper, quieter, more comfortable and entertaining; based on what we heard from our friends who stayed at the resort. And the warmth and memorable experience that Susan and Steve provided us with was way better than the often boring and forgettable hotel room experience!! Thank you Susan and Steve for going beyond just offering a bed for us to sleep on; you provided us with a warm and welcoming home, great company and an incredible trip. We hope to stay in touch and hopefully get to see you again :)

I had a wonderful time staying at Susan and Steve's home. It was the first time I have stayed in a room in a private home and wasn't sure how it would feel. I needn't have worried. There were many communal spaces to hang out in but I also felt I had my privacy. The room was lovely with a great view looking out across fields to the mountains, comfy bed and plenty of space. I was in the area to take a week-long workshop so my only regret was I had very little time to spend there either relaxing in the house or walking in the surrounding countryside. I did enjoy morning conversations and coffee before heading out each day. I would definitely stay there again if I were in the area!

Susan and Steve are simply the best. They were kind, communicative, and overall fabulous hosts. We traveled to the area for a wedding and were excited to find a place close to the venue. The house was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The old farmhouse is a treasure and Susan and Steve are knowledgeable and good-natured. Steve even offered us a ride home from the wedding! We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast on Sunday morning and got to take a proper tour of their very cool old house. Definitely make time for coffee and a chat when visiting these two! Sue and Steve were incredible hosts. I have never stayed at an AirBnB before and not rent the entire place. They made us feel very much at home and even cooked us breakfast. If my family were not staying at the Sunny Hill Resort up the street, I would have loved to spend more time with them enjoying some wine and relaxing in their beautiful backyard space. I would definitely stay here again.

We had such a wonderful stay at Susan and Steve's. Their home and the land it sits on are so beautiful. They were so accommodating - we were able to check in early, were greeted with cold water bottles and an air conditioned room upon arriving on a hot day and woke to a wonderful breakfast and coffee. Susan offered to lend us books and a cooler when we went out for the day. They had wonderful stories and local advice to share with us throughout our stay. We would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

If you need a place away from the noise of the city. This place is just for that. There’s not that much to do close by but you are in nature we will find silent or you can drive a couple miles you will find things to go places to visit. It’s very lovely own. And the host is very nice

Had a fantastic night camping here!! The property is amazing, with fields to camp in, woodlands, and a private lake. There is a also firepit (with firewood available). Hosts are incredible, and were super helpful with all aspects of the stay. Would come back here to camp anytime! Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful old farm house and the sheep, goats, and dogs are so cute! Alessandro was really nice to get back to us quickly when we asked if we could stay there.

We had a very unusual stay as we didn't check in till 11 o'clock that night and were gone early the next morning. Due to our circumstances we didn't get to experience much of the area, however Alessandro was more than accommodating with our stay. Because I was working a wedding nearby, the location was more than perfect. We were greeted with a pot of coffee and smiles from everyone up and working in the morning. We met the adorable house dogs and even got to see the sheep heading out for their morning. The farm has so much charm and character I truly can't wait to go back and really experience everything. Again, could not ask for more accommodating hosts.

Lime Kiln Farm offers a truly magical and authentic farm stay experience. Brent was extremely welcoming and the 1700's farmhouse is beautifully restored and beyond charming. We weren't able to meet Alessandro as he was in Italy, but look forward to returning sometime soon!

This farm is a special place. We immediately felt at home, and were invited to visit the two baby goats who had been born the day before. Later that afternoon, as we returned from a walk around the grounds, we got to see a calf who had just been born. The owners are incredibly kind and generous with their time. Can't wait to come back--whether you want to make this farm your getaway destination for a weekend, or you just need a place to stay, I can't recommend it enough. Thanks!

We had a lovely quiet night staying at this historic stone farm house. Everything was clean and comfortable. Brent was a friendly host and we loved being welcomed into the yard with a group of waddling ducks making their way across the drive to the pond!

Staying at the stone house was such a great experience! Brent was charming and helpful and made us feel at home. The space is so unique- you feel transported in time, falling asleep to sounds of nature and awakening with the Rooster's crow. A friendly dog and kitty really complete the farm/home experience. We were in a convenient location, the bed and room were cozy and comfortable, newly renovated bathroom...stay here!

The pictures on the website look very nice, but in person it even looks a lot better. The process checking in and out are very easy ( just don’t lock yourself out) ikes. This had no reflection on the process, just the forgetfulness of the guest. The House had so many amenities and was spotless! We are definitely returning. And oh yeah the host was fabulous and very responsive! Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Can’t wait until next year. Jim

This place is awesome! Beautiful house, perfect kitchen for cooking, plenty of space to hangout, watch tv, swing on the swings, and use the firepit! We had 8 people and it fit everyone comfortably.

It was a breeze to check in and out, and we had no difficulties with any aspect of the house. The home is well decorated and cozy, and was a perfect spot for our relaxed New Year's gathering. Our time at Jessica's home was wonderful - warm, beautiful and comfortable. It is a perfect place for families with smaller kids - lots of toys and space for them to play both inside and outdoors. The kitchen is well equipped and made cooking delightful - we also enjoyed good conversation around the coffee table and in front of the fireplace. The landscape is amazing and the views from the house are lovely. We enjoyed our time and highly recommend you consider staying here.

Great spacious compound! It was a very comfortable to stay for our big group, especially if you just plan to stay in the home. Great for pets to roam around. Amazing amenities like the fire pit and fireplace in the house and a complete kitchen for our group that had several chefs. The living area of the main house was big enough to just hang out and stay most of the time. The porch was great too and we would've used it more if it was warmer. Check-in and out was super easy and any questions we had were immediately answered. We loved loved the bakery they recommended Bonfiglio & Bread for their amazing breads! We'd love to go back in the warmer months.

Laura’s home was the perfect getaway for my friends and I. It was easy to check in, had everything we could possibility need, was well located not far from Hudson and sparkling clean. Would absolutely recommend!

Laura and Kelly's house is beautiful and even better in person. Huge property with a great deck, heated pool and fire pit! The two cabins are great for friends and family that want their separate space. Laura and Kelly were also very responsive to our questions and were gracious to offer their pack n play since we had a baby with us on the trip. Would love to stay here again!

My family and friends had another wonderful stay at Laura’s place. Bbq pool games campfire - kids and adults all enjoyed and can’t wait to return.

We had a fantastic, memorable long weekend here. The property is huge and beautiful. The house and cabins were all very clean, well appointed and comfortable. The host was easily available to answer all questions and did everything she could to help make our stay enjoyable.

Laura is great to work with, responds back very quickly with full detail. Location, house and amenities were more than I expected and she is more than accommodating. I would love to book this house again in the Fall and suggest others also work with her.

Alessandro is a great host, very communicative and laid back. We had such a lovely time getting out of the city. We loved walking around the farm and meeting all the animals. They have a few large dogs, chickens, goats, sheep and a cat. All animals were very friendly and approachable. We didn’t have a chance to go, but there is also a cheese store on the premises. We wish we had went! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The guest rooms are upstairs while Alessandro is downstairs. The bathroom/shower is great and shared with all (3) guest rooms. We had (2) out of the (3) and rarely saw the other guest. The house itself is so adorable - a farm house with such great charm. At night we sat on the porch looking at the stars and enjoying a few beers. We were “protected” my Teo, one of the large dogs who sat with us outside until we went to bed. If you’re looking to get out of the city and enjoy the country in a laid back, very authentic way, then do stay at Alessandro’s. Lovely people and lovely animals! Highly recommend going into Hudson for dinner and drinks - 30 minute drive, but well worth it. Great dinner at Helsinki Hudson and ice cream at Licks.

Beautiful Dutch farmhouse renovated with taste. Very friendly welcome by Alessandro and his partner and by the young woman who takes care of the goats. The goats themselves, their sheep dogs and the Miss Michigan cat are very welcoming;)! Alessandro does not speak only English: Italian of course but also French ... (and probably Spanish). And the cheeses are famous! If we go back in the area we will not hesitate to return.

My family and I loved our stay up at Lime Kiln. Alessandro was great company and being able to see all the hard work that goes into his business isn’t something I’ve experienced at any other Airbnb. We will definitely be coming back.

Definitely more than just a place to sleep: it's a beautiful location, in a 18th century house in the middle of charming farm. The sheep, goats and cows are pleasant neighbors. If you're lucky you can get a tour and taste their great cheeses. Highly recommend.

Very beautiful place and wonderful guests. The farm location is beautiful - has a small pond in front of the house. You can see chicken , calfs, sheep and cheese making. It's a different experience.

The house sits on a side road of a side road so the only sounds you'll hear are the chickens, cows, and goats. The property is beautiful, with flowers and romantic views galore. The property is a working farm that produces and sells super delicious cheese. My friends and I left with half the store so be sure to taste some samples. Brent-- the owner, was incredibly warm and welcoming and has a super fascinating life story: American dairy farmer goes to Tuscany and ends up running a successful cheese empire. Yes, there is a novel in there somewhere. The listing isn't 100% clear on the the number of beds, so I would strongly recommend checking before booking if you are in a group or a family with children and don't want to be left scratching your head where to put people upon your arrival. Note, there are no couches or pull out sofas. The owners reside in the lower level of the house, but do provide access to the kitchen and living room.

We’ve stayed here 5 times now to lead our yoga retreats! We LOVE this house and Miles and Ruth are great, responsive and helpful hosts. They don’t live there or nearby but are super helpful and quick to answer. The house is huge and gorgeous and the property is VERY private and safe. It’s perfect for large groups and super clean. Stocked kitchen and the private back room with all the windows is key. Thanks again for allowing us to host our friends and students in life enhancing retreats by opening up your home to us. 🙏🏻

This is my third year coming back to king hill cottage for my winter retreat. Year after year this space has been perfect for students to learn, practice, and heal. It’s cozy, clean, unpretentious-and the birds collecting outside don’t hurt anything either. I would highly recommend this space!

This place was a gem - perfect for a large group of friends with families getting together. It was easy to make large meals in the well-equipped kitchen and there were multiple livings spaces to gather. The views from the backroom were great (and so cozy with the pellet stove)! In addition Ruth & Miles left bird seed to put out and we saw at least 10 different types of birds. The kids loved it and we couldn't believe it. If you have very tiny kids, there are two sets of stairs that you need to watch out for - but otherwise a very easy house to navigate with multiple toddlers. Would highly recommend!

Excellent Hosts and a beautiful spot for large groups! Surprisingly the room layout was excellent and accommodated our group very nicely! The yard was beautiful and loved that we felt secluded.

This house is amazing! Enough room for everyone. We stayed for thanksgiving and had more than enough space to cook and eat. The sun room was our favorite spot. It was very easy to keep warm and the view is great. Miles and Ruth are great hosts. Answered my questions right away and were easy to contact. Overall we had a great experience and would love to go back!
