Wow! What a wonderful experience we've enjoyed over the week. Sarah-Ania is the perfect host (and an amazing cook!) and along with her family made us feel right at home.

Great place!

It's a very nice, cosy place. We were camping and wanted to have a break so we decided quickly book the place for the night and the host arranged it for us fast. Surroundings are beautiful and very refreshing to wake up to all bird calls.

I'm a communications Technician who travels all over NSW QLD and VIC every week for the last 5 years, I have lost count of all the places I have stayed, but it needs to be said Haydens Hinterland retreat is one of my absolute favourites, it was such a relaxing and beautiful place to stay, comfortable clean and peaceful, Sarah-Ania was a lovely host happy to help with anything. She is also a Beautician with amazing hands who had me floating after a very long week at work. such a beautiful part of the country too, most definitely a place worth staying. I will most certainly be staying there again when ever I find myself back in the area.

Sarah-Ania was such a lovely host. She was quick to respond to our booking, provided detailed descriptions on how to get there, and the place was beautifully set up for our arrival. She takes the time to add the little special touches that made our stay even better such as a basket of homemade goodies delivered to our door. We stayed three nights with our little 6 month old and we were very comfortable. The scenery outside is amazing, with breath-taking landscape and views. Private and secluded from the hustle and bustle of busy suburban chaos, this retreat provides such a warmth that you'll want to go back again and again. Sarah-Ania was the perfect host, leaving her caring and unique mark on every inch of the clean detached self-contained unit. From home-made raspberry and white chocolate muffins to fresh macadamias, we were spoiled beyond any sort of mainstream service we would have received in a resort. The bed was comfortable, the unit was spacious and we had everything we needed to enjoy a great night indoors. The gorgeous, well-maintained garden surrounds attract an array of native wildlife and waking to bird songs was such a natural blessing. We look forward to recommending this retreat to anyone who may want to experience an exceptionally good value, quiet and comfortable stay with excellent hospitality. Thanks

Brilliant! What a fab place. Lovely host, and a clean, new and very well equipped large studio. Lacked for nothing whatsoever. Not far to Byron, if that's why you're here and a very calm pond outside the door if you're not. 10/10 from us.

The studio was clean on arrival, there were lots of extras, also some welcoming gifts in the fridge. Very comfortable, and quiet. Inside has everything you need and of good quality & nicely decorated. Margurete was friendly, and easy to communicate with.

This was an incredible studio, welcoming and homey. Margurete was a great host who had gone above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect! Only downfall was not having more time to stay longer. Couldn't recommend high enough!

Margurete's place was lovely, it was clean and well-presented, and Margurete was an incredibly thoughtful host. She provided lots of little extras, from fresh berries and milk in the fridge, to toiletries and even some bread to feed the resident ducks and pelicans. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Basic, clean, ground floor apartment with surrounding blocks on either side. The apartment was very hot and humid in the middle of summer with no sea breeze or fans to help cool self down throughout the day and night making the stay uncomfortable. Kitchen missing a few basic utensils. Must have vehicle to drive to beaches and grocery store.

Jane gave us very useful information and made us felt very welcome when we arrived. The apartment was clean and tidy. The neighbours were quiet and friendly. The Richmond river was a few steps to the backyard for kayaking and fishing. Our boat found the best access to the water under windy condition was via the canal ramp which was only two minutes away. Jane generously let us use her herb garden and kayaks, which were great bonus to our trip. Our 4WD and boat found easy street parking. Major shopping was only a few minutes away. All these added up to made us felt comfortable and convenient during our stay.

Jane was friendly and efficient. Little touches around the house were extra effort and so appreciated. We used the kayaks to explore the local waterways. Jane left us useful practical suggestions of things to see and do around the area which were all spot on. Apartment is lovely and clean. Perfect base for a coastal holiday

Deanne was pleasant to deal with & super attentive to our needs. She went out of her way to make sure a lovely breakfast was provided & the cottage was super clean & tidy, just per the photos. I would not hesitate to recommend her place to a friend.

5 star comfort, 5 star hospitality, conveniently located to Byron, Bangalow and Clunes. Deanne and Richard provide a little piece of paradise, complete with koalas, that is really hard to leave. I had a wonderful stay and I look forward to coming back.

I have been to many Airbnb accomdation but Deanne's place is the most beautiful place I have ever seen: both for the house itself as for its location. I couldn't get enough of the green surroundings, the beautiful skies, the wallabies jumping around in the garden and the jungle sounds at sunset. The house is also very comfortable and equipped with everything you need to make your stay (even on a rainy day) lovely. I can't wait to come back.

The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful location, really well equipped, spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need. Deanne was a very thoughtful host who inquired beforehand if I had any dietary requirements. When I mentioned I was vegetarian and coeliac, she went out of her way to stock the fridge for me. I arrived to bountiful local produce and gluten free supplies. So wonderful! Communication was easy and I can not recommend Deanne's place highly enough. A tranquil, refreshing stay.

This is a lovely, out of the way place, with lots of wildlife around. There was a small issue when I first arrived, which Deanne went to great effort to rectify.

We had a lovely stay in Clunes - the house is beautiful and the food provided is amazing. We stayed there as a base for going to Byron Bay but we ended up exploring the country a fair bit. The surroundings were really nice - we saw a koala on the last day! Deanne was friendly and helpful when we had questions or concerns.

Deanne's place was fantastic she has put a lot of thought into providing all you need for a relaxing getaway all you have to bring are your clothes . The property itself is in a beautiful location nice and quiet with lots of wildlife and the cottage itself is really nicely kept thanks for our first airbnb experience . We would recommend this property for anyone who needs a relaxing getaway .

We stayed at Deanne's for a week and really enjoyed our stay. We were visiting family in the area so the location for us was good, between Clunes and Bangalow, a car is a must if you stay here. The studio was well equipped with everything we needed for a week's stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had plenty of room to spread out. We loved that the property was so quiet and we could sit and listen to the birds calling. Deanne was easy to contact and the check in/check out process was very easy.

High luxury in the hinterland - the bedrooms and ensuites are proper 5 star hotel comfort, you can self cater and just sit on the veranda with your favourite drink taking in that valley view all the way to the lights of Lismore. Seriously quiet location yet central hinterland location - only ten minutes to Federal, 15 to Bangalow or 20-25 to Byron. Thanks Dawn and Neal for your hospitality.

Staying at Dawn and Neil's was amazing. Our kids and us had such a great time, enjoying the beautiful view and the luxurious apartment. Our daughters had a blast running around, playing with the dogs, and discovering alpacas and sheep for the first time. We also had great chats with Dawn and Neil who were so welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to fully recharge batteries.

Fantastic relaxing encounter with the North Coast. It was great to enjoy the panoramic views of Eltham valley in a luxurious, modern apartment. The hosts last arranged a massage which was excellent. We'll be back!

We stayed in 6 different air bnbs over 2 weeks and Dawn and Neil and their beautiful accommodation was by far the best! We literally did not want to leave. They had breakfast, milk, tea coffee, cookies a beer and champagne for us on our arrival as well as games and books for us and the kids. The company over sunsets drinks just as lovely as the incredible views. Highly recommend. Thank you Dawn and Neil, we'll be back!

Dawn and Neil were warm and welcoming, I felt like I was at home, safe, comfortable and welcome. They have an amazingly beautiful property with spectacular views and also has a luxury feel inside. Lovely beds and bedding, well designed rooms with central heating/cooling, large bathrooms. All only a few minutes away from a charming little town that has a great cafe and local store that stocks a great selection of local produce, deli goods and more. I would highly recommend these hosts and their accommodation.

Gorgeous house with stunning views! Dawn and Neil were very helpful when it came to tourist activities and were always around if we had any questions. Such wonderful people with wonderfully happy dogs! Overall a great stay with beautiful surroundings and amazing hosts!

My friends and I had a great stay. The apartment is centrally located so it's very easy getting out and about. The balcony overlooks the pool which is lovely - we swam everyday! And is also right next to the river. We had a great stay, everything was easy. When we arrived there was a welcome basket and a few key essentials to get us started. Also plenty of towel which is always great.

Wendy was most welcoming and she met us in the lobby upon our arrival and spent time with us showing us everything we needed to know about the apartment and the surrounding area. She very kindly prepared a welcoming basket for our use....Wendy was a delight to deal with and certainly wants to make sure you are comfortable and encourages you to contact her if you need help or have a question....

Wendy's apartment in Ballina was an absolute dream! The apartment itself is modern, luxurious, spacious and Wendy really has thought of everything to welcome you into your stay very smoothly. As a host, Wendy was incredibly warm and communicative and covered all bases to make moving around the area and the apartment very easy. I stayed down for Bluesfest and found the location so ideal for the shuttle bus and local ammentities - Woolworths is at your doorstep as are a number of restaurants and stores. I would definitely stay here again if I revisited Ballina. Thanks Wendy!

Wendy is an amazing host! She was super helpful with details and suggestions. I couldn't have asked for a better host! The suite was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The neighbourhood had a little bit of everything and Ballina was a great place to stay. I was able to get internet for a great price at the front desk, so don't let that be your roadblock. We had a wonderful stay at Wendy's apartment. It was luxurious, immaculately clean and close to all the best cafes, restaurants and walks in Ballina. BBQ dinners out on the balcony at dusk were a treat. Wendy meeting us in person was much appreciated. We are already thinking about when we can come back!

Tracy's place is colourful and comfortable, with character. It's also quiet and private - a great place for a holiday in Ballina for one or two people, or for a couple, or as a base for work, or for passing through.

Buyer beware.!..Although accommodation was great, exactly as described and I was graciously received, there is (or was) nothing in the content of the (URL HIDDEN) prepare for the considerably higher daily rates on weekends and holidays. The higher charge only appears on the receipt AFTER making the booking. (and I do understand there is still the option at that time to cancel the reservation) Since price is a big factor in choosing AirBnB accommodation, however I believe that marking weekends and holidays in a different color on the calendar, and/or mentioning the difference in rates under "other costs" would greatly help guests make an informed choice before making the booking. Other than that, I appreciated the cleanliness, presence of fresh plants, complete kitchen, privacy, quiet neighborhood and convenient location.

The listing was very accurate and the was coffee, fruit and milk all ready for us when we arrive. The owner was very accommodating throughout the stay and even offered to lend us their bikes!!

Katjas home is warm and welcoming, her children make the experience very homely. Her breakfast is incredible, so save some space. The views are wonderful. Overall a very relaxing environment.

Katja was a great host. The suite was perfect, and it was lovely waking up with great views over the valley. Breakfast each morning was great as well, and such a nice way to start the day.

Katja was a great host, very attentive and approachable. Her rural location is picturesque and yet only 20 minutes from the bustle of Byron, the perfect contrast. Our studio apartment was spacious and well equipped, and the sofa bed was bigger than average and. Comfortable for our tall son. Breakfast was a great experience, overlooking the valley and comprising local produce and amazing home made pancakes - nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

We stayed one night in Serendip and are so glad we found this gem of a place. Serendip is in a great spot with a wonderful vista of the hinterland and we were lucky to have enjoyed a spectacular show from a passing storm. Breakfast was sensational. Healthy, delicious and generous! Katja explained where the foods were sourced from (mostly local and organic, including eggs from her chickens) - it's possibly the best breakfast we've ever had! If we are in this part of the world again we will definitely try to stay with Katja and her family again. Thanks Katja!

We thought it was really great just 25 minutes away from the crowded Byron Bay in such a relaxed environment to live. Great views and a great breakfast especially if you will miss the German bread in Australia happy there :)

Immediately after the booking i already had a message with all details. We where even offered to be pickt up and drove to our stay. Heather and Jim are very good hosts and we felt more then welcome. We had an amazing time. The location is very central and Ballina offers access to all places in this area, like byron bay.

The fig tree hideaway was cozy, spacious, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Adam was gracious and very accommodating. The location is quiet and secluded (and so, word to the wise: bring insect repellent!). Would highly recommend!

The name says it all! Tucked away in a quiet street surrounded by nature and amazing sunset views! If you want a relaxing experience then this is the place to go! The secluded location of the street, which is about a 2 minute drive to Lennox Head town, is perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of inner town Airbnb’s. A simple and serene space! The hosts were very friendly and were quick to answer any questions we had. We especially loved the little bundle of goodies we were greeted with upon arrival – such a thoughtful addition to a fabulous stay. It has everything you need to feel right at home including kitchen with a small oven and twin hot plate and even a washing machine! Large TV, good wifi, comfy bed and simple and quirky decorative touches. We will be back!

The unit was in a great location. It was equipped with everything we needed. Plus a large DVD collection which the kids enjoyed. It was a short walk to the beach and shops. The weather was very raining during our visit, so we are looking forward to staying there again, hopefully with better weather. Woody was a great host. Very friendly and extremely helpful.

Lovely cozy place just like the host. It was close to the town and beaches. The place has a great energy and homely 1980's Aussie feel. Woody has a heap of gear for the beach. Sitting on the deck at night with a drink listening to the ocean was splendid. Highly recommended and value for money.

What a fantastic experience, we had a busy holiday, seeing and doing many things and this place just made us stop, relax and soak up it's beauty. Great place and incredible views over the infinity pool, big sprawling river, the ocean behind it, truly breathtaking and no photo could ever do it justice. The property itself is gorgeous and in the most beautiful section of nature, amazing gardens and grounds, perfect for a nice bush stroll to the nearby waterfalls, amazing! The hosts were super friendly and informative and always on hand to help with anything we needed, otherwise we didn't even know they were around. Beryl is so sweet, she even hung our washing out on the clothesline. My only sad thing is that I couldn't stay longer and I am not sure when I can get back... I for sure will be going back!

What an amazing place to stay. The weather wasn't great but it didn't matter. We spent what seemed like hours simply looking at the amazing view. Beryl and John were great hosts and the accommodation had everything we needed. The pool was an added bonus and the kids loved playing with the provided pool equipment and toys. Thanks Beryl for allowing us to stay with you. If we're up that way again we'll look you up.

The house was great (secluded and quite from the city) and offered a very comfortable living arrangement between 7 guys! Beryl was more than happy to help us with anything we needed such as supply us with new cooking equipment since we all cook from scratch. She even offered us a ride to byron bay! The surrounding land was gorgeous! There was so much to explore during our morning walks and Beryl let us know which places were the best to visit on and off the property. The best part was the view from the pool during sunrise as well as sitting by the fire under all those stars after a BBQ session. The price was great, and you just have to be willing to drive to where you need to be (byron bay was 30 minutes). Beryl was very kind to us and respected our privacy. I would recommend this place to anyone who wishes to come into the area.

Our stay was absolutely amazing and it's all thanks to Beryl and John. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay fabulous. The place is breathtakingly beautiful (the photos do not do justice) and the place feels comfortable just like home. Our stay was out highlight of the trip. I will most definitely be back!

Wow! The photos do not do the home justice - the views from the garden are incredible. Beryl and John were great hosts - incredibly flexible with our arrival time as we were travelling up from Sydney and due to traffic we couldn't provide an exact arrival time. Great space inside the property which comfortably fit the six of us - like us, if you have a car, this is an awesome base for enjoying Byron and the surrounding towns of the area. 10/10
