Daisy's treehouse was the perfect escape for a relaxing few days. We felt completely surrounded by nature with branches coming right through the bedroom! The room was beautifully furnished and the kitchen/diner cabin next door had everything we needed - the bacon and eggs in the fridge were a particularly nice touch. Our favourite part was the amazing view from the bed out of the window across the hills and fields, we could've sat there for hours, in fact we probably did. If you're looking for a unique experience and a place to get away from it all this is it. Thanks for a great stay Daisy.

Lovely house - great design, layout and high-spec décor/amenities. We spent several weeks at the stables while house hunting and it couldn't have been better. Alex and his family live in the main house behind the stables and are on-hand to assist in any way without being at all intrusive. The area is great - a short walk through the fields to the pub in Lower Vobster (fabulous Sunday lunches) in one direction and a longer walk also through fields/farms (our 5 year old managed it!) for tea at the lovely Walled Garden café in the beautiful village of Mells which also has a great pub, village shop and award-wining café. Frome is a short drive away for bigger shopping / leisure facilities, Bath is just a 30 minute drive and Bristol airport less than an hour. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice quiet location and everything on hand for a pleasant break!

We felt very comfortable in the "Stables". The accommodation is really luxurious and very well equipped (kitchen completely, washing machine and dryer, fireplace, etc.). Even for families with small children very suitable (high chair, cot on request, etc.). The beds are very comfortable (one sleeps wonderful and do not want to get up :). The cottage is overall very clean and designed the outdoor area nicely. Alex was a prudent and courteous host who took good care of us. Definitely recommended!

A stunning property that catered for all our needs. Set in a quiet area, within easy reach of the many attractions we visited, The Stables was clean, spacious and modern. It is so much better than photos can capture. Our girls felt comfortable, relaxed and at home. Alex made us feel very welcome and was willing to help us should we have needed anything. We enjoyed a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. We cannot recommend this property enough.

The barn is beautiful and finished to a high standard (the photos don't do it justice). Very clean throughout with a well equipped kitchen. Made for a fantastic stay over New Year! Alex even made up the single beds as a double which was great. There is a lovely pub down the road in Mells which does great food too!

Spent one winter month at cottage. Excellent, all i can say. Private house, private territory, private parking. BBQ place. Fast wi-fi internet. Warm, very clean, and well equipment house. We had a really lovely long weekend at Alex's place! The house was really comfortable (we all found the beds particularly comfortable) and very clean and it was kitted out with everything you might need. It's a great size with a kitchen equipped for cooking if you don't go to the super friendly pub down the road. It's in a beautiful location and feels very private. I would definitely recommend and go back if I am ever in the area.

The location is beautiful, quiet and very relaxing. The hosts are very nice, helpful and accomodating. There are no pets and there is a no shoes policy, which is great. Everything was clean, although the carpets had a few stains. The room is comprised of a single mattress on the floor and a basket with a lamp. No furniture. No towels were provided and the bath/shower is basic with no shower curtain. The view from the room is beautiful.

We stayed as a group of 6 for a weekend. No complaints atall! A lovely, spacious home which had everything you'd need. Each double bedroom had a modern bathroom. The garden was a great size and we loved the BBQ to have alongside the garden games! A bit in the middle of nowhere so research before if you wanted to go out for the day but we enjoyed a few walks and a really nice local pub was only a 20 min walk away. This was such and amazing place. The wood burner was fantastic (which was concerning in the middle of August). The breakfast pack that you is get is amazing and we loved squeezing our own orange juice in the morning. Le Cottage is ideally located away from a loud town but only 20 minutes to other places. I would definitely stay again.

We were looking for somewhere for a quiet night away from the city, and after cycling all day this place was perfect for us! Everything was as described, it was lovely and spacious inside Le Shed and Jane made us feel right at home. Plenty of home comforts provided and lovely little village with friendly locals at the nearby pub. The inside was nice and cosy and the outhouse shower was lovely and warm too. Check-in and out was very easy - would 100% recommend!!

This is a wonderful little cottage that sleeps 8 people. It has low beams, so beware of tall people bumping heads, but we had a lovely time. Our family of 6 adults and one toddler enjoyed ourselves very much and places that we visited were Bath, Frome, Mells Hidden Garden, Stourhead NT, Wells, Glastonbury and a few other places. On the way home we went to Rode and had an excellent meal at The Mill. This is well worth a visit. All in all, an excellent time was had by all and we would heartily recommend this cottage.

Close to some amazing sights: Stonehenge, Bath, Bristol, and Longleat, to name a few. Warm and welcoming - and the basket of goodies on arrival really topped things off! We had the most lovely weekend staying at the cottage. The location is stunning, completely nestled away in the gorgeous countryside, yet close enough by car to Frome and its' amenities. The cottage had everything we needed, we particularly enjoyed the table tennis, shower pressure and the free standing bath - the experience weekend was a real treat. The garden is gorgeous and was a really nice space to relax and breathe in some fresh country air. Henry and Lisa were great at communicating, everything went very smoothly. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Cottage!

We had a very enjoyable few days at Charity Cottage. The house was comfortable, well equipped and a real home from home. It's in a great location for exploring the area with good access to Wells, Glastonbury and Bath, not to mention the lovely Walled Garden tea rooms at Mells. The bikes and table tennis were a real bonus. We definitely recommend it and would live to come back.

Everything was perfect. Henry was extremely helpful with the booking and provided an excellent welcome booklet well in advance of our arrival. The property was very spacious and comfortable with two fires making the whole place very cosy. It was well kitted out with kitchen equipment and board games. The surrounding area provided a few nice walks with Bath, Frome and Longleat in easy driving distance.

A wonderful house, located in such a beautiful area. The bedrooms were so sweet, all decorated well and very homely! Great communication and left us some lovely treats for our stay. Would recommend the gorgeous garden, perfect.

This was a double room in a shared small country house. Country style interior and fittings . Bedroom smallish but comfortable bed, all essentials, bathroom next door. Country kitchen down a flight of stairs. We didn't bump into the host unless she wanted to tell us something. We were out early in the morning until late evening so just came back to sleep really. Very quiet and peaceful in a bit of a backwater but lovely scenery and accessibility to main roads. Rosy was very helpful and friendly, it felt as though we were guests at a family home .

This was a very last-minute booking but Ash confirmed almost immediately which made our plans much easier. This is a lovely little cottage with all that you would need for a long stay if you have time. There is a nice garden space too which we enjoyed for breakfast. The walk to the pub is very quiet and only takes about 10 minutes - recommended. The village is lovely. Thanks for everything.

Everything you'd want from a countryside getaway. Picturesque setting, beautiful cottage, friendly hosts. It's very well located, just a short walk into the village and local countryside. There are also a lot of attractions within a driving distance (cheddar gorge; wookey hole). The cottage itself was very clean, and a lot homelier than other places we have stayed. We'd certainly recommend to friends and family.

The cottage is a truly wonderful place to relax and makes for a delightfully romantic retreat. It's stylishly decorated, immaculately presented and has all of the facilities required to make anyone's stay comfortable and enjoyable. We attended mass in a lovely small chapel on Sunday which highlighted the wonderful sense of community in the village of Mells and the Talbot inn was a great recommendation. The cottage is lovely - very cosy and quaint with all the mod-cons. It is matched by the village and surrounding area. The village is full of character and the local shop and pub tick every box. You can also get out into the countryside and nearby villages /towns easily. Ash was the perfect host, going above and beyond to help during our stay. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful bank holiday in Ash's lovely cottage! The listing is exactly as described and Mells is a very pretty, very peaceful village yet still only 30 mins from Bath. The cottage itself has a particularly comfortable bed and is decorated very tastefully (the wood-burner is a very nice, cosy touch) and offered everything to make our stay very welcome and enjoyable. Ash has left a very useful guide to nearby places of interest - the only shame was that our 2 night stay didn't offer us the opportunity to explore them all! We'd also recommend a visit to the Walled Garden in Mells - great setting for a breakfast waffle, whilst the food in the nearby Talbot Inn is also very good. Overall, we had a great stay and would enthusiastically recommend this listing to all.

Ash was a great host and did everything to make us comfortable. The cottage was clean and welcoming. We went there for a wedding and didn't really know the area but Ash was so kind to recommend a few places for dinner and other activities. All in all we've had a lovely few days!

Ash and Nick were very welcoming and extremely helpful in terms of recommending where to go and what to do. Very lovely cottage and cosy and the fireplace was a nice touch. GF loved it so by default I loved it too (no really I loved it). Saw some reviews saying the place could get cold but was warm enough for me! Was a little tricky without reception/limited wifi but directions are pretty straightforward in terms of driving out of mells where you'll get reception for satnav. Quite liked not having the phone buzz though so wasn't too bothered but something to be aware of.

Moonacre Yurt is simply fantastic! Dide has an amazing place on her hands here, perfect for pretty much any occasion. The yurt itself is amazingly decorated, laid out and the fire and lighting is so relaxing. We had two nights here and have never felt so relaxed as we did leaving Moonacre. The kitchen and shower facilities are great and give you all the mod cons you could need for a chilled out stay. Dide was the perfect host and welcomed us as soon as we got there and ran through everything with us. She went out of her way to accommodate us and was so nice to talk to. Moonacre yurt really does feel like a little slice of serenity out in the country and we would definitely stay here again if we are heading to this wonderful part of the country again. Thanks again to Dide!

We had stayed here before and wanted to come back as we enjoyed the experience and love this area of the country. We were welcomed by Dide who ensured we had all we needed to be comfortable. The yurt was amazing at this time of year and our little boy enjoyed the outside space and we could relax knowing he was safe in the area. We felt super welcome at moon acre yurt, it was cosy clean and our host left eggs milk and tea for us. Dide was the best host ever! The area is beautiful tranquil and calm. And the yurt was warm and a fantastic place to stay!! We had a lovely time walking and cooking on the campfire, picking blackberries and eating at the pub. I would definately recommend this air bnb location and would love to come back. We had a perfect weekend

A Yurt lush time had by all. Now we all want to live in one! Both fires were lit ready on arrival, which was really lovely. We found the yurt to be very comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Theres plenty to do in the surrounding villages and towns. The woodfired pizza at the walled garden in Mells was super yum. thanks for the recommendation Dide!

Incredible stay from booking to finish!! We were met by Dide, shown around and given fresh produce and fire wood. She really was the perfect host and even told us about a fair on in a local village which was just perfect. The yurt was beautiful and so comfy, the facilities far exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have wished for a better few days away. We will definitely be back and planning it already.

We had such an amazing weekend in the yurt! Me and my partner always look for quirky weekends away and after a fair few we can honestly say this is one of the best. The view is lovely and there isn't anything that hasn't been thought of. Very economical with the compost toilet and the recycle bins and the right amount of luxury with the modern shower and fully functional kitchen. From the solar powered fairy lights to the snug bed the inside of the yurt is one of the most relaxing places I have stayed and will defiantly look to be staying again! Great location for Longleat Safari park too! Dide was really helpful and even provided eggs for brekki and some milk to make sure we could settle in with a cuppa. She was always on hand without intruding. I'd recommend to anyone for a relaxing weekend on a gorgeous little farm.

My friends and I stayed at Moonacre for a second time after such a successful trip last year, and we are so glad we returned! Beautiful setting with all the amenities you need. We loved staying here! We felt super comfortable and really well looked after. The yurt was awesome, with a great little kitchen and lovely bathroom we were super comfortable. The kids were able to play freely and wonder around the land and really enjoyed themselves. Dide was a fantastic host and I'm hoping she will have us back soon!

We had the most wonderful three night stay in Mells, thank you Rob and Maggie! The cottage is small and cosy, and beautifully decorated so it has a really homely feel, and well equipped. We had been left milk, bread and basics for our first night and breakfast, which was a welcome touch. I should add that the bed is one of the most comfortable I've slept in! Mells is a perfect base for exploring the area, and is a beautiful village. Bath is an easy distance as is Wells, and we stopped at Stonehenge on the way home. We had the most amazing dinner at The Talbot in Mells, which we highly recommend - definitely not your average pub grub and definitely worth booking. Thank you for a lovely escape, we'd love to comeback!

Lovely place to base yourself to explore this area. Rob and Maggie were very easy to liaise with and are right next door if you need anything. Its cosy but well thought out and you have everything you need. The bed is excellent. The Talbot lived up to its reputation and the 'collier' cycle way is about 1 mile away. We had a great weekend and would definitely book again

Your stone cottage was even more charming than depicted in the photos. We loved everything about it--thatched roof, exposed beams, darling village. We visited the Talbot Inn 2 nights in a row and its convenience and great food added to the whole experience. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Rob and Maggie's stone and thatch cottage was (URL HIDDEN) is in a beautiful village, with an amazing pub too! The cottage was beautiful and had everything you needed..the added extras like breas, milk and cereal was amazing and a very nice touch. Very comfortable, tastefully furnished little barn conversion with lovely views into direct countryside! Particularly liked the herd of dairy cows who seemed to be having so much fun, running around together and grazing. A great place to stay, very private and cosy. Beautiful folding doors that open up onto the courtyard, a truly indoor outdoor space. Loved it!

This is a beautifully equipped, stylish and comfortable little pad, next door to hosts but self contained. Hosts were helpful but not intrusive. Mells is delightful and full of scenic and historic interest with a good community shop/cafe and fantastic hotel/pub/restaurant a short walk away.

We had a wonderful week at The Little House. It is delightfully renovated and extremely comfortable. So lovely to have all that green space and a charming village. It is a great spot from which to explore Somerset and Devon. Jane and John were extremely hospitable hosts. Hope to come back some day!

Absolutely wonderful little place in a gorgeous little village. Great pub for food and the most amazing garden cafe just around the corner which just seems to keep on going around corners. The place was perfect, easy drive into Bath and Frome and would highly recommend.

Andrew was a fantastic host. He was very welcoming and useful when we arrived, helping us to settle in. The place was great. Exactly as described and what we wanted - a secluded getaway. There is very little close by but you can still get by for a weekend break. The only minor discrepancy was the shower which kept on jumping from very hot to cold. Aside from that, it was a perfect weekend and I would certainly visit again.
