This cabin is such an awesome place to stay. Its so serene and secluded but yet its so close to everything. Its a very spacious rustic cabin with all the amenities of home. The river view from the large great room is unbelievable and a great place for morning coffee. The bluff and river view can be seen from almost every window in the cabin. The breakfast nook in the spacious kitchen also has an awesome bluff and river view. Mary and Jerry are close by if you need anything but you will never know they are there. We will sure be back to enjoy this place in the future.

Absolutely one of the best kept secrets in the area. The cabin was cozy and secluded, but just off a main thoroughfare connecting all the local attractions. If you want a comfortable, relaxing get away this is absolutely the place. The hosts were awesome, the property is beautiful, felt like we were at home.

This is a wonderful cabin in the woods. It was fairly easy to find (good directions), and nice and secluded. It was really cool inside, like a rustic cabin should be. The views of the surrounding woods and river are amazing! There's a nice rocker in front of the window that I was glued to, while having my morning coffee! Thanks, Mary and Hubby (forgot his name, because it was a few days ago)....They were so sweet!

The little cabin is beautiful. It has a wonderful, homey feel and I immediately felt myself able to relax. After a long drive, it was nice to just cuddle up on the inviting bed, comfy bed and fall asleep to the sound of absolute quiet. The yard was perfect for my dogs, the neighbors were awesome, and it was truly a paradise within four little walls. Thank you for opening your home to me.

Great weekend in southern Indiana. The cabin was cozy and exactly as described. We were excited to bring along our dogs as well! We had a little trouble with the WiFi, but after contacting Sylvia, we were able to get it resolved quickly. We would definitely recommend eating at Smokin Jims BBQ, if you're looking for a treat. We had a great experience at Willow and Jimmy's cabin. We were in town for a few weeks doing some work on a newly acquired stone shop. It was perfect for what we needed, a house rather than a hotel, with a kitchen and doggy friendly! It was nice having it all to ourselves, and Willow and Jimmy were always easy to get ahold of when we had a question. If we need a temporary place to stay again in bedford, this would definitely be our first choice.

Jim and Sylvia accommodated us on super short notice and even went the extra mile and set up an air mattress for our youngest son. Super cozy cabin and when you are inside you forget that you are in Indiana

This little cabin was perfect for a long weekend getaway! The dogs loved the fenced in yard and spent a lot of time playing together. The cabin had all the right things and amenities. It's snowed while we were there so we didn't do too much town exploring but we had a great time nevertheless!

Our stay at Willow's bit of heaven was quite and peaceful. The accommodations were perfect for our group of college friends that get together each year. The back yard garden and flowers were lovely.

The Cabin was perfect for our family getaway for three days. It is a good location for visiting both Bloomington and Paoli. Our kids loved playing the piano and playing in the back yard. Lots of antiques and history here.

This was a nice place. It was very clean and as my son said, "smells like soap.". It was kind of like staying in a museum, with all the antiques and just the cabin itself being so old. I'd stay here again and so would my kids (voluntarily). I did in fact stay an extra day because the place was nice and I needed a break from driving.

The tower room was a charming and very comfortable room and Rowena was an outstanding host. She was very accommodating, the breakfasts were outstanding and she even packed a "to go" breakfast for me to take to my son who is a freshman at IU. We had interesting conversations and she told me about a tucked away hiking trail, which was fun to find.

What a cool, quirky place to stay in a small town!! We loved the local history of the place and it's central location as well as the original antique architecture along with the modern amenities (like heated tile floors in the bathroom of our turret room!). The breakfast was a delicious spread and we loved getting the personal tour of the kitchen and jailhouse too! Rowena was so pleasant and accommodating. I'd suggest this to anyone wanting an unusual, but very comfortable place to stay when visiting Bedford!

This airbnb option is a very rewarding experience. Hostess Rowena is highly intelligent, very personable, & a creative, accomplished preparer of bountiful, original breakfasts made with very fresh ingredients. The rooms are very nice & afford plenty of room w/private baths. The former Sheriff's residence w/the attached former jail is just full of character & kept very clean & furnished w/interesting aesthetically pleasing furniture. Although we live a couple thousand miles away from Bedford we're already looking forward to another stay @ Rowena's B&B & more touring in the scenic Hoosier Hills.

We found Rowena's listing when looking for a place to stay on our way through the area. She warmly welcomed us into her beautiful, historic home upon our arrival. There was hot drinks & snacks waiting for us that night, right outside of our tower room. The room and adjoining bathroom were exceptionally well-decorated, clean, and cozy with a very comfortable bed and down comforter. We enjoyed a FULL breakfast the next morning - breakfast casserole, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, and juice - which was fantastic as well. After breakfast, Rowena graciously indulged our curiosity about the home's history, giving us a tour of the house and adjoining former county jail. We were thrilled to see what she and her husband have already restored in the home, and hear of her plans for the future. Overall, it was an exceptional visit in an equally unique home. We definitely hope to return, and highly recommend this place for those looking to stay overnight in the Bedford/Bloomington area. Thank you, Rowena!

Rowena was a great host, graciously accommodating our son's wedding party of ten--in two guest rooms. The tour of the jail gave our son and his groomsmen a pre-wedding night they will always remember.

I purchased this as a gift for my son and his wife. They agreed, it was a wonderful time. Rowena was an absolutely wonderful hostess. They loved the bed, all the extras like special soaps, a stocked fridge, coffee, hot chocolate and snacks. I heard the breakfasts were incredible. Rowena even made what my son said were the best gluten free corn muffins he has ever had, and the rest of the breakfast was amazing. They thanked me for choosing this Air BnB spot and told me there was nowhere else they would rsther be than in Bedford with Rowena. I think I may just have to go myself!

Very unique, artfully decorated, house in secluded rural area, & fairly close to Bloomington, where I went to music venue. Bedroom was clean & comfortable.

First thing I soon as I pull in for my stay, Rachael greeted me and offered me tea and access to the kitchen after an arduous drive. Fantastic host and the pets were really friendly. While a bit secluded, the room description and location overall was on point. Really scenic area and interesting history lesson on the space. Rachael was really welcoming and gave recommendations of things to do during my brief stay (Little Tibet was great lunch spot). Really creative layout for the room and bathroom. Would do again if back in town.

My husband and I had a great stay with Nancy! Her place is tucked away surrounded by nature. I was able to enjoy a Little time on her front porch caching up on some reading and absorbing some sun. The sounds of nature and catching sight of a humming bird, doing what they do, was an enjoyable added touch! Nancys home has a solid, durable, robust feel to it, with an amazing design. A diamond in the rough!! Our only regrets are we didn't find this earlier!

Nancy place is beautiful. Inside and out. It's a beautiful and roomy home. The downstairs is her bedroom but if you rent all 3 rooms then you have the whole house. Otherwise, she stays there with her guests and you have the 2 upstairs rooms. The whole house is unique and special the way it is decorated. The kitchen is gorgeous with lead glass door that leads out to side deck and stain glass windows throughout house. Big picture windows in dining room and family/sitting room. Lots of natural light and low lighting. Beautiful landscape in front of the house looking out the windows. She's on May Creek farm. The place has so much character. The 3 pics she had didn't have any of house. This place would be booked up solid if she had house pics. It's just that nice. The place was extremely clean and nice. We came here after going to my 95 yr old grandma's funeral and let me tell you, it was perfect. Just the zen we needed. The yard has cool barns, pond, pavillion, swingset, and even in the distance chicken coop. Coop is far from house so you wouldn't know it was there unless you ventured out. The place is located in the country which is why we only booked for the day after. The day before we needed a place closeby the funeral chapel in Bloomington. This place would have been too far out. But after funeral, it was perfect. We sat in sitting room and sorted old photos of grandma. We ate cheese and crackers, drank wine and reminisced. Oh there's the friendliest house cat names Jetsong. Jet for short. If you want to get away from the city and want a quiet place, this place is great. Plenty of parking too which was good since the 4 of us had 3 cars. Nancy is very nice and interacts with you as much or as little as you want.

This was the perfect place for a quick trip. We wish we could have enjoyed it more. The house has a beautiful view, and the sunrises right over the lake. We woke up early to enjoy that. It's an easy drive into Bloomington where we enjoyed the night life. I want to come back in the summer time to really enjoy the lake and its amenities.

Although this lake house is not our 1st choice, we don't regret it at ALL. This lake house is located in a quite neighbour and it is directly faced the lake. It is quite and clean. My friends and I had a great time there.

I can't say enough about this property! Everything was absolutely PERFECT!!! We enjoyed a fire in the firepit, fishing on the dock (which my son couldn't get enough of!), hiking along the lake, and so much more! We even changed our dinner plans one night so we could come back and enjoy the cozy atmosphere of this property! The view is breathtaking! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake each morning. The house is fully stocked with everything you need. Jane and Aaron are wonderful hosts that really know how to make you feel welcome...fresh fruit and flowers...I could go on and on!! Our kids were so sad to leave, as they loved the playset and basketball hoops. Oh and I forgot to mention that the place is absolutey spotless! We can't wait to stay here again!

The place was wonderful. Great views of the lake. Very secluded setting. Place was well stocked with toiletries, coffee, games, and books. The screened in porch and deck were great places to watch the sunrise over the lake. We would gladly stay again.

We had such a great time at Jane and Aarons lake house! We had breakfasts and dinners on the porch with amazing views which was very relaxing. Cooking a couple of elaborate meals was very easy because the kitchen is WELL stocked with utensils and even some extra ingredients we were in need of in the fridge. The house was so clean and had everything we needed and more, we underestimated how stocked the house would be with essentials! The property was gorgeous and we really enjoyed floating on our river tubes off the private dock. We also really enjoyed taking advantage of the grill on the deck. We didn't get a chance to meet jane and Aaron but they were always a message away if we needed anything at all. Overall a wonderful private and secluded getaway. We will definitely return in the future!

We received several messages from the hosts prior to our arrival. We actually never met with them, but they made themselves available should we have wanted to...there was just no need. They answered our questions quickly and clearly. The property itself is a hidden gem. Extremely private and quiet, though only 15 minutes from downtown Bloomington. We did a lot of exploring in the area...but when we stay again, we will spend more time enjoying the setting and the amenities provided. There were very few boats or other watercraft on the lake while we were there, so that added to the quiet. Minutes away from a state park, as well. The area is full of rolling hills and lush woodlands. This is a great deal and ideal location.

Garret and Ewa's house was a pleasure to stay at during our trip to Indiana! Upon arrival, the house was spotless. Any question I had for Garrett was answered immediately, and he was very helpful. Although there was seven of us staying in the house, there was enough room for all of us to stay comfortably. Will definitely be back!

Garrett and Ewa's beautiful residence is all that the preview shows and more. It is beautifully appointment and decorated. The inside and outside of the home are lovely. We stayed there in early winter when the leaves were not on the trees, and I can imagine how lovely it must be when the trees are full. The house, the surroundings, the ambience, and the hosts communication were most appreciated. There is not a washer and dryer there, and this would be a most convenient addition to the existing wonderfulness of the home. Thank you, thank you, for making this space available for guests.

Our second stay in 4 months, so you know we love it here (lengthy review written then-check it out!). Chatting with Annette and Doug is like conversing with friends we've known a lifetime. The room was as beautiful as ever and the bed, hands down, the most comfortable we've ever slept in! So may wonderful plans in the works for this gem, you have to check it out! Besides the amazing breakfast, wonderful conversation and so many special touches that set this Bed and Breakfast apart from the rest, you have to try Annette's hot scones and relax in front of your in-room fireplace. You won't want to leave!

We had a wonderful experience during our stay! Annette was very accommodating and great to work with. She made a tasty, fresh breakfast each morning and made us feel welcome. Annette & her husband also gave us a tour of their farm and introduced us to all of the animals! They have ducks, chickens, goats, dogs, cats, and two bunnies. We definitely will go back, possibly during late summer/ early fall so we can see the farm in bloom.

This was our second stay with Annette, and we enjoyed it as much as the first one. Their house is gorgeous and comfortable, a perfect little country getaway, and we both loved hanging out with the animals! Would definitely recommend for a romantic hideaway or a family trip.

The BnB, which is actually a Victorian mansion, is a absolute find. My wife and I feel so incredibly lucky to have found this place. The whole house was wonderfully decorated with beautiful Christmas trees in every bedroom. Breakfast was also wonderful. And the couple who own (and renovated) the mansion are very personable, friendly, and we loved hearing about the history of the house and its original owners. They are also renovating the original barn for weddings, and it is also really nice. They have a very large wooded property, and I would love to visit again in the spring or fall when there are leaves on the trees. While there is absolutely nothing negative I can think to write about the BnB itself, it is definitely in the middle of nowhere. Because many of the roads near the BnB do not have road signs, finding the place can be an adventure, especially after dark. However, the owners were very helpful over the phone giving directions of the last three miles to the BnB. We were driving along, not sure is we were on the right road, and suddenly, there it was! It is an absolutely gorgeous home! This is not something you come across very often, may once in a lifetime. So if you get the chance to experience this amazing place and these wonderful people, take it! You will have some wonderful memories to last a lifetime!

What an amazing and beautiful inn! This refurbished mansion was such a delight for our weekend getaway! Our hosts Annette and Doug were very gracious. They were informative of the building's history and knew of the local points of interest. The breakfast they offered was delicious and the company they provided was even better. There are local attractions such as Spring Mill State Park, Carousel Winery (1 mile from the inn) and the "Big Tunnel", but there is enough activity at Guthrie Meadows to keep you busy if you prefer. If you are looking for a relaxing, no pressure getaway weekend, this is a wonderful choice. You will not regret visiting Guthrie Meadows.

Rowena is a very welcoming and delightful host! Her place is very historic, it is a mini castle with an old jailhouse attached at the back. She gave us a tour of the whole place and it was super cool! The room itself was an en-suite and was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was a full meal and absolutely delicious! Everything was great! Rowena was a master hostess and constantly asked us if we needed anything. The rooms were great including all of the amenities needed and more! The beds were comfortable. We slept better than being at home. She made a home cooked breakfast that was wonderful, as well as her company. Delicious food! This was a standout short vacation! It's not often that someone would welcome a wedding party of 10 young men into her home and allow them to occupy two bedrooms. Rowena allowed us to bring in air mattresses, and while we were talking on the phone, it didn't feel like she was rolling her eyes when the guest count progressively rose from 6-10. I mean, what 20 year-old wouldn't want to spend the night in an old Victorian jail? We greatly appreciated how Rowena made the night before our son's wedding a memorable one for him and his groomsmen.

This place is amazing! It's in a sweet little town just outside of Bloomington. Be sure to take a tour of the jail and if you're interested in history ask Rowena about the town, she has done tons of research and knows her stuff. I'm already thinking of a way to make it back here.

Our stay at Brook's Cozy Condo was delightful! The condo is fantastic and had everything we needed... even down to little notes left for us for instructions about how to use things. It's nicely decorated and has a very good vibe. We loved that it also has a back balcony/deck where we could sit and enjoy the nice fall weather. The bed was very comfortable, too! Brook was great with communicating with me. My only tip I would give to future guests is to actually read all the directions Brook emails you regarding where to enter the gated community... I did not do that. Still ended up fine, but would have went even better had I read everything BEFORE we arrived at the property. Totally MY fault, but just a tip for my Airbnb-ers who are like me and not sticklers for details :) I will totally stay here again the next time I'm in Bloomington. Amazing bang for your buck with this one!

Such a homey clean space, tastfully decorated; Nice and quiet all day. Situated in the scenic Eagle Pointe Golf Resort. Brook was attentive and thoughtful. We would stay here again in a heart beat.
