The location is super! just a few minutes walk from the station, very easy access to other parts of Tokyo, and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The apartment/house is nice and quiet. What you see is what you get!

Absolutely loved Aya's place. What you see in the pictures is what you get. It's a comfortable space for three grown men and I imagine it would be great for a couple or small family. Everything was clean and tidy. Aya's manual was very helpful. The apartment block is nice and quiet. The surrounding area has some good food options but is close enough to the station if you want to head out. A 7/11 is very close by with all the usual bits and pieces. I will definitely book here again for my next trip to Tokyo!

Aya is a very lovely and attentive host. She contacted me as to identify the necessary information to me. The day arrived, I did not see her, but she sent a friend picked me up at the station to take over the room. I feel very comfortable staying here. Although size is not very big, but it was a perfect fit for my mother because my husband and son Aya prepare everything very handy. Here are just a few minutes away from Nippori Station. It was great for us with both young and old. Nearby restaurants and convenience stores. And I can easily travel to various Yamanote line, so it was really a wonderful hotel.

The location is perfect to explore Tokyo, very convenient to the airport, especially with luggages. The house is spacious for 4 people with all possibly necessary facilities and amenities. The sofa bed might be small for 2 big people, but ok with us.

Sofia's place was great. Easy to find. It's near the train station, groceries and restaurants. Her place was clean. Towel, sleepers, shampoo and toothbrushes were provided which i don't expect. However, I wish Sofia will provide TV in her place so that we could watch Japanese shows for us to be able to appreciate Japanese culture more. I left her place clean because it's the right thing to do. I treat her place like mine. So, I would suggest that others should do the same. Her place is worth the money. Great location! The beds were super comfortable, and spacious. It's about a 10 minute walk from the station on a major train line, so it was very convenient. The station itself isn't that big or busy, which is great when you're hauling luggage around. The room also came equipped with dish ware, cutlery, a kitchen with a microwave.

The place is quiet and closed to a Mikawashima station. Since Jun-san gave me the detailed instruction manual about the place, we didn't have any problem using the facilities at all. There are many restaurants opened till late night and a convenient store closed by, so we could grab food when we arrived to the place late at night. We enjoyed staying there, and we recommend this place for those who want to travel to Tokyo.

Location is really convenient, the station is right around the corner and there is a seven eleven super close. It is really easy to find the apartament using host's instructions. Portable wifi is definitely a plus! you will need it a lot more than you think. Specially if you are riding the last train or are planning to walk a lot. Communication is really good, host will respond very quickly. The only issue that we had is that on our last day when we got back to the apartment after being out the whole day, the window was open and we did not leave it open, we checked our luggage and everything was there but still it was strange... contacted host about it, but she said that nobody entered the apartment and that she had no idea of someone entering while we were out. I would recommend taking valuable things with you just in case...

Amazing place! Super clean and spacious. It is super close to Mikawashima station (only about 2 mins walk), and only a 10-15min walk to Nippori which is one of the main stations where you can easily catch a skyliner back to the airport! It is also super close to Ueno and Asakusa. We highly recommend this place to someone that wants to spend their time in a nice quiet neighbourhood where you can easily catch transport into the busy part of the city. Loved this place, it was exactly what we were looking for and it made the end of our trip perfect.

Really close next to JR Mikawashima, but also because of recent super noisy. Place the room strange, a bit like a combination of housing, not very safe. jun is really nice also solve the problem quickly, house equipment also ok, but the overall feel is not very clean. Walk to Nippori Station to 10-12 minutes.

Near the train station which is convenient but it also means it is noisy whenever the trains pass. Located on 3rd floor, so if you have heavy luggage, be prepared to carry up 3 flights of stairs. Yusuke's apartment is a convenient distance from the train station, located in a quiet, old, and cozy residential district of Tokyo. The space itself is a bit tight for 6 (there's enough space to sleep 5), and is about the size you would expect for a Tokyo apartment on the older side. We stayed during the hot, humid Tokyo summer, but luckily the air conditioning was sufficient enough (plus a fan) to cook both sleeping areas. The kitchen, bathroom, and shower are unfortunately not climate controlled. Even though the listing fits up to 6 people, I think the ideal group size for this apartment is 3 or 4 people. Yusuke was a reasonably responsive host, answered messages within a few hours, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Overall, I'd stay here again if we had a smaller group.

We found the apartment to be a fantastic place. As we entered, we immediately fell in love with it. Everything was nice, so clean, so nice smelling and so beautifully decorated and well arranged. We were also very impressed with the various modern technologies being used - floor heating, defroster for the huge mirror overlooking the entrance to the bathroom, the fancy bidet and seat-heating system for the toilet and others like the smart hot-cold water control for the bathroom and washing basin. We had to admit, the first two, were the first time we ever came across. Even for a start, we were already fond of the high-security double lock system and the three-lock system to the entrance door and which made us looked for one all over Tokyo shopping malls and found one almost similar lock being used. As for me, I was already impressed with it and the owner, Ms Emily Miller who, never failed to reply favourably and promptly to all my messages and queries right from the beginning. The instructions she gave for the directions to her apartment and the guide to unlock and enter the apartment were very accurate and handy. Over the 4-day period of our stay there, we however, had gotten used to the very frequent noises of passing by trains running on several lines nearby. After all, staying in Tokyo, we cannot expect a complete freedom from such. Lucky the apartment is at the 12th floor, expectedly is much less affected as compared to the lower floors. And also, we also got used to the somewhat low wash basin in the washing machine/dryer room. On the whole, yes I would recommend this place to others and would definitely want to stay there again whenever I can get to go Tokyo again, with my family of course, for a somewhat huge place like this. For the price of it, taking all the all the nice things about the place and the owner, it is all well worth it. TQ Miss Emily Miller.

My family and I stayed at Emily's place and really enjoyed our stay. We were a group of 5 and her place was the best of the 3 Airbnbs we stayed during our visit throughout Japan. The location is close to two train stations. About a 5 minute walk to Nippori or Nishi-Nippori stations. It is about a 15-25 minute train ride to most of the places you'll want to go in Tokyo. Although we weren't in the heart of the places we visited, it's super easy to get around. Nearby there are restaurants and markets. Everything is walkable. There's an amazing eel restaurant you should try if you want to eat nearby. This is a great Airbnb because it has all the amenities you need. Washer, drying rack, fridge, dish rack, soap, etc. If you're traveling for more than 7 days you'll probably need to use the washer which came in handy for us. Another good sign is good furniture and especially comfortable beds. There were 3 mattresses and 1 tatami bed and they were all comfortable. Sierra is a great host. She is clear in her communication, sent us a guide before hand, provided a wifi hotspot to use, even recommended a free wifi app. It made for a smooth trip. I would highly recommend booking Sierra's place.

The distance from the nearest station to the house is still bearable, 5-10mins walk depends on the speed of your pace. The entrance will a bit small same goes to the lift but can't complain much due to its in the city where everything is cramp closely together. Besides all of that, the apartment is in good shape. Very vibrant and spacious, but the balcony looks a bit old and quite different from the environment in the house. Overall, Im satisfied of the accomodation.

The house is located near the main street, so it s very easy to find. Also, Nippori is very convenient location where you can easily access to Narita airport and enter of Tokyo like Shinjuku, Shibuya. The house owner is very helpful in providing instructions to access the house.

I will love to come back and stay again in the future.

The location is conveniently located within walking distance to Nishi Nippori station. We didn't meet Lin Lin but she provided clear instructions from the train station prior to our trip. Basic amenities were provided, good for budget travelers. However, the house is not quite suitable for older people due to the steep stairs, which wasn't shown in the photos.

LinLin was not present during my stay but communicated with me over chat. I was able to let myself in and live in the house without a problem. The guest bedroom is on the second floor. It contains a tatami, a small chair, and a bed. The WiFi works fine. There's a small bathroom and a shower across from the bedroom. The neighborhood is quiet, but the house was a little hard to find.

Her place is highly recommended and Lin Lin is a really nice host. It is a bit noise at night, but I don't think it is a big problem for young traveller.

Very affordable and value for money! Exterior of the apartment looks a little run down but the interior is very clean, spacious with many rooms! Very nice for a big family or many friends. VERY near to Nippori Station which is a BIG plus. Easy access from Narita airport via Keisei Skyliner 36mins. Convenience store nearby is helpful.

Nobu's place was well situated with some fantastic local ramen places as well as easy access to the JR city loop and Nippori fabric town. It was relatively easy to find and clean.

My husband, two adult children and I stayed at Takamitsu’s home for 11 nights in a May-June timeframe. Yanaka is my number one pick of neighborhood’s to stay in when visiting Tokyo and Taka’s house was my number one choice for places to stay in Yanaka after extensive research of available options. The house had plenty of room for us - both shared and private space in a lovely neighborhood. After a day in the more hectic big city it is nice to return to this peaceful, low rise area. We enjoyed the colorful azaleas blooming outside the living room windows as we decompressed after a full day of activities around Tokyo or as we sipped our morning coffee. One afternoon we drifted off to naps as we heard a monk chanting in one of the many nearby temples. Taka provided useful information regarding the neighborhood and offered some good suggestions for local restaurants to try. On our own we also discovered a wonderful restaurant call Warehouse 12 on Kototoi-Dori on the other side of Shinobazu-Dori called Jyu-ni Ban Sōko (Warehouse 12 – it is in TripAdvisor as Taishu Robata No.12 Soko). I highly recommend Takamitsu’s – host, house & neighborhood.

It was a wonderful experience staying with Takamitsu my parents enjoyed the space which is the exception rather than the norm in Tokyo.

This is our first time to stay at such a traditional Japanese house and we really love it! Location is quite good, 3 mins to subway station and lots of small restaurants around, just as described. Takamitsu welcomed us very politely and seems know the area very well. In all, I recommend it absolutely.

Our 8 night stay at Taka's house was wonderful. We travelled as a family of 4 adults and 1 toddler and were very comfortable for the entirety of our trip in Tokyo. Taka's house is on a quiet lane, just a short walk from Nezu Station with a large supermarket diagonally across the station where we purchased everything we needed for our stay. There was also a good range of restaurants and cafes nearby if you preferred to eat out, though we made regular use of our kitchen which was very well-stocked in amenities. The bathroom has to be mentioned, because it was a very good size, especially in Tokyo and it is so nice to come back after a long day of walking to run a bath which is full-length in size and keeps warm for ages! Taka's house was a very warm, and very liveable home for us and the warmth and generosity extended to us by his grandmother, neighbours and himself will always be remembered and appreciated.

A very nice stay in this spacious and quiet house in Yanaka. Taka's grandma and a neighbour was very helpful at our arrival. Sure that if we come back in Tokyo, we'll be again here.

We spent a lovely week at Taka's. His house is very clean and big enough (for a small house in Yanaka) and perfectly suited for a family of four like ours. Everything worked fine and we enjoyed the charm of the rooms and the location including the nice old neighbours who always had a smile for our kids and us.

This was a very nice family neighborhood. Our host met us at Nezu station, which was only a few blocks to his house. We stayed here for over a week.

We had an awsome stay in Yuka's appartement. It was cozy, very clean and two steps away from Sendagi station. Also Yuka was very helpful when we wanted to know some things. She sent us a nice welcom guide to Sendagi/Bunkyo-ku and practical information about the electronics in her appartment.

I was taken care of in a night. The room gave an impression of cleanliness very much and was able to spend comfortable time. There was a mall near and was able to enjoy eating the way willingly. This is second time that I and my family stayed at Jun's room for 7 days. The first time was in last year (2016). Jun's room has all living facilities same as a good service apartment. Room location is on walking street (Yanaka Ginza) and near Nippori Station which is only 1 stop from Narita airport by Keisei Skyliner. If I and my family have a chance to go to Tokyo again, Jun's room is the one of my wishlist.

Reasonable price, you can go upstairs with elevator, near the station to your home, but subject to a ramp and staircase is not suitable to take too much luggage, drug store near Ueno cheaper than after tax, there can stroll the streets to eat, holiday night there the night market in addition to the bed did not even have to change a good pick up

Yanaka is a great part of Tokyo to discover with its traditional wooden buildings, quaint restaurants, shops, coffee shops, bars, street food stalls and galleries. A truly unique part of the city, a joy to visit and a welcome change from the neon lights of the Shibuya and Shinjuku districts. Jun's apartment was in a great central location within easy walking distance of several rail stations. The apartment was modern, clean & secure.

Quiet and all what you need for staying a long period. Quite small and bed is unstable and making noise for every movement. But overall are acceptable. It will be our choice for next visit.

Sho's place is a few minutes walk from Nippori station, and will be easy to reach after getting used to the route. The house was clean and we had almost everything we need. Sho was welcoming and answered all our queries promptly. However, the house may be a littlw small for 4 person if you are bringing along a luggage. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and will recommend it to any tourists hoping for a comfortable stay at a budget price!

I book this apartment last minute and Jun responded promptly and could communicate clearly in English. I was very pleasantly surprised at how cosy the place is. From Haneda airport, taking the local train to the place is about 40mins but the train fee is only 690yen, much cheaper than taking narita express to other areas. It is also directly linked to Narita Airport by the Keisei Line. I personally prefer this line to Narita express. The place is about 5-10mins walk from the station. Jun gave us very clear directions so finding it is very easy. Checking in is also very easy. Jun also prepared welcome gift for us to make our stay more comfortable. The apartment is very well equipped and clean and tidy. There's a clear instruction file on how to manipulate the appliances. I particularly like that the shower room and toilet are separated. I also like the bed, which is a real firm bed with very comfortable mattress. The blanket is heavenly, keeping us warm through the chilly nights. Of course there's heater present in the room. The host is very thoughtful and provided ample hangers in the wardrobe, slipperrs, extra towels etc. The apartment space is slightly small but that's how most Japanese apartments are like but I think it suits us very well. Just opposite the apartment is a familymart and eastern Tokyo attractions are easily accesible from here. JR line to Western Tokyo(Shinjuku,Harajuku, Shibuya) takes slightly longer, about 40mins. Overall we are very satisfied with our stay.

The house is located in a very quiet environment, far from the station, shopping and dining are also convenient. Room facilities, space light and spacious, well-furnished master, delicate, and lived a very comfortable feel.

This place is located in very convenient area, so it was easy to go anywhere I want. The room itself was also wonderful. It was clean and very organized. Thanks to Sammy & marilyn`s kind indication, I could do check-in & out smoothly.

Sammy and Marilyn were very responsive hosts. 1 week before our trip, they emailed detailed instructions of how to find the apartment. They also left us slippers to use and a booklet of things to do/see and places to eat in their neighborhood. The neighborhood is quiet but is 1-2 small blocks away from stores/restaurants and there is a 7-11 near by where you can use the atm and buy breakfast food on the go (recommend the rice balls). Also, the train station is about a 5 minute walk from the apartment and Ueno park is about a 5-10 minute walk and you can get to other parts of Tokyo in about 10-30 minutes by train. Highly recommend this apartment if you're wanting to stay a little bit outside the touristy areas but still have access to everything you want to see. Thank you Sammy and Marilyn!!

Near from the station, the room is neat and clean, very comfortable and the owner does not have any problems communicating in English. There are cheap restaurants and convenience stores nearby, to Sensoji Temple and other tourist attractions are also easily accessible. Really great location next to Uemo park, with ease of access to multiple subway lines including the JR rails. Tucked into a quiet corner so it was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. The instructions provided were very clear and helpful. The place was clean and lovely. Would love to stay here again!

Sammy and Marilyn are very warm-hearted and kind! They gave us a lot of advise and helped us solve many problems! The location of the house is great, near to the station! And a goro's choice restaurant is just 60m away. It's very delicious! The house is cozy and comfortable! And the decoration is great.

Excellent location. The room was clean, very spacious and suited for me perfectly! Sammy and Marilyn’s communication was great and responsive. It’s near to the train station within a few minutes. Apartment is a bit small, but it's perfect for 1-2 people. I can highly recommend!

Nice Room

Location is great to go out Nezu subway station, the house was clean and not do something very new! Only at times also have the opportunity to live ~ landlord who is also particularly good in helping our luggage on the third floor, thank you!

Namio's house is great. Very close to the Tokyo subway so easy to access, yet away from the masses of crowds around the bigger stations so very quiet and peaceful area. Namio provides detailed information about places to visit and eat in the area as well as excellent access directions. The apartment is clean and modern and has everything you need with loads of storage space. Namio always responded to inquiries quickly and was available if needed during our stay. I would highly recommend Namio's house for any Tokyo trip as a couple!

It was a very nice hotel worthy of the first Japanese tour. The hostel has a very close and convenient to the nearby convenience store and a drug store and a super walk from Nezu Station. Located in a quiet residential area in the center of the house and see unique and beautiful alley was great too as did the house warm sunshine through the window. Except for the personal tools (such as toiletries) and were also equipped with all bedding tolerable thing is also good comfort and cleanliness. Stay away from the downtown area to visit the big tourist might need a pretty little shop in transit, but lurking around every hostel alley and people smell the atmosphere was good. What's more kind of host that cares little that one's really heard the most heart. If possible, I want to use the hotel again!

The apartment is located in a wonderful neigborhood with much to discover, even in walking distance. The apartment itself is cozy and well-equipped. Namio is a wonderful host, quick to respond and friendly and helpful in communication; the information he sent us made finding the apartment very easy. He was also very flexible regarding our check-in; we arrived early in the morning, and Namio let us store our luggage with him, gave us a portable wifi, and let us into the apartment ahead of the regular check-in time. Thank you, Namio, we'll be happy to come back!
