A lovely park, big trees and lots of space to have picnics, there is also a fab kids area with paddling pool in the summer and a cafe in the middle with coffe and cakes (seasonal). 10 minutes walk or so from the flat, great for a quick walk or a run.

Big wide open space, everyone goes here to walk dogs or run or have picnics on sunny days. Stunning views of avon gorge from the sea wall too.

Big walks, coffee at the mansion or at the golf course (or even a round of golf) a ride on the mini trains for youngens and THE BALLOON FIESTA - once a year in August, but there are hot air balloons taking off on most mild days from near the mansion, great to watch.

Stokes Croft...there are Banksy pieces on the street walls and other iconic art, independant art shops, coffee shops, restaurants and bars and all night clubs with various music - well worth a visit if any of the above are your thing.

if you still eat meat :-) The Ox is a tiny restuarant in the basement of a beautiful old building on Corn St, Bristol city centre. They have won best steak in Bristol award and I think they came 6th in the UK ! Make sure to book a table - also they do incredible wines and cocktails.

This is also a BRILLIANT cafe !! Breakfast while you get your washing / drying done. Or even with no laundry, the staff are really nice and the food and coffee is lovely.
