Food & drink

The award winning Golden Fleece is a great place to dine or stop by for a drink. With outside and indoor eating/drinking arrangements, they serve an extensive menu with fresh, locally source ingredients. They also have a separate vegetarian menu.

Sightseeing

I can easily spend half a day wandering amongst the awe-inspiring works of one of the most famous British 20th century artists, Henry Moore. This is where he lived and worked for much of his life, so you get a unique insight into the great mans world. Miss this at your peril!

Walks and running

In the middle of the Hertfordshire countryside there a numerous off-road walks and running routes for all abilities.
Explore the gentle surrounding countryside on long walks, away from the traffic and crowds of modern day life. Relax and unwind, then enjoy a well deserved drink in one of the village pubs. Checkout the off-road footpaths on the village map on the village website (unfortunately Airbnb won’t allow the link!), by googling “Braughing walks”.

City advice

Getting around

Taxis

I would advise that you book any taxis / cabs in advance, especially if required at peak times such as Friday and Saturday nights. I would arrange your taxis at least one day ahead of your planned travel.
