This place is a little pricey but we love eating by the gulf and the views at sunset are just amazing. We usually sit outside. I love the grilled grouper and my kids love the steaks. I also love their salads. At times during the year, they take reservations. So maybe check ahead. Its a short walk west from the house, but you can certainly drive.

There are not many places that have good oysters in this area but we have found Dave's to be delicious, fresh, wonderful service and friendly people. There are many other choices for those who do not eat oysters. I love their crab claws!

Take a right on gulf blvd and drive west for twenty minutes and you will find yourself in Pensacola Beach. There are lots of things to see and do for the kiddos and it is very walkable. One of our favorite restaurants is Peg Leg Petes. There is usually a little wait, but they have a playground if you have littles. There are several really good restaurants in the area to choose from.

Destin is a very popular city on the gulf and you will find great shopping including outlet malls as well as many very good restaurants. There is also an aquarium, sight seeing tours, gooney golf and many other opportunities for entertainment. Destin is about 35-45 minutes east down Hwy 98.

This is the sweetest little zoo. They have everything to keep you and the kids entertained. We love the relaxed atmosphere, getting up close and personal with many of the animals, feeding the giraffes, riding the train, watching the monkeys, petting the goats and feeding the birds. Love this place. It is about a 10-15 minute drive from our house.
