Lovely French restaurant with good sized portions. It’s a chain restaurant – but really doesn’t feel like it. It has an excellent pre-theatre deal for 2 courses for £14.95 before 6.45pm.

Really fun bar to throw some shapes on the dancefloor - wearing the sombreros they hand out and shaking your maracas (not a euphemism!) Also does lethal cocktails in teapots.

Our local. It’s quite trendy and the drinks aren’t overly expensive. They sometimes have live music, or they have a live music, or they have a good stock of boardgames and a nice menu.

If you fancy seeing a bit of the Welsh coastline whilst you’re here we recommend going to Merthyr Mawr. It’s a 25 mins walk through the sand dunes to get to the beach which is usually almost deserted.
