Bus 81 takes you directly to Harajuku, Yoyogi Park and Shibuya and leaves every 20 minutes or so.
It takes around 40 min by bus but beats the train every time. Bring a take away coffee from the convenience store and enjoy a different view of Tokyo along the way.

Kagurazaka is a 20 min walk away. An area packed with great Japanese izakayas, udon, seafood, sushi, backstreet yakitori places and nice small bars. Some nice upscale restaurants as well. A favourite among locals and expats alike. Good for Fridays and Saturdays!
