If you have the munchies in the middle of the night because of jet lag or you just left the nightclub, head over to Canter's. It NEVER CLOSES and is busy all night long. You won't be the only one there at 3:00 in the morning. Ahhh, the aroma as you walk in the door. Definitely order a pastrami or corned beef on rye bread. (Big enough to share with a friend) Add mustard, enjoy your dill pickle - I think I am hungry NOW. If you don't want to sit down, you can just grab some food at their bakery or the deli and take it with you. You can order online It is in its 3rd generation of the Canter family. The grandkids opened up a little bar and live music area too. http://www.cantersdeli.com/home

Bar, restaurant and weekend nightclub with live music all in one. But you can go eat there with your kids too. A popular neighborhood place, family owned, good food and nice happy hour. Staff is super friendly, prices reasonable. My favorite is nachos - the home-made fresh guacamole they use is the best. Add a Mexican or house beer and life is good! They also have a night club, open on weekends with a live band. Latin music for those salseros.

Feel like hitting the walking trail before enjoying a trendy brunch? Or maybe you want to hop in a pool to cool off after a long day of shopping? There's a park for that. Located across the street from The Grove, Pan Pacific Park has something, in both its facilities and its location, for everyone. The park began its long history as a public facility in 1935, with the opening of the Pan-Pacific Auditorium. The building hosted countless sporting events, concerts and even political speeches. When it burned to the ground in 1989 following contentious debate about its future, the city decided once and for all to turn it into a park for public use. Throughout the ensuing years, the space has grow

Every Angeleno loves to go see a an outdoor concert at the "Bowl". Arrive at least two hours early for your evening concert. Everyone brings a picnic basket (or you can buy food there) and relaxes under the trees or while watching a concert. The site of the Hollywood Bowl was chosen in 1919 for outdoor performances. Check the website for tickets. http://www.hollywoodbowl.com

This is one of the MUST SEE places in LA. Fantastic location, architecture, and garden. And it is free, but parking is $15.00. Try to catch the "architecture tour" which is free and only about 1/2 hour long. It will give you a different perspective when you look at the buildings.
