The Vic Cafe has recently been renovated to a fun and hip diner. It's great spot for breakfast. I highly recommend their freshly baked blueberry pies and latte (with soy milk). For pics of their cute decor please check them out on instagram @the_vic_cafe .
It's approximately a 30 min. drive from our cozy home. While you're there make sure to check out antique shop across the street. There's tons of cute finds.

The owner of the bakery is just the sweetest she runs the bakery and bakes all the cakes herself.
The butter icing is truly a dream. I tried the Easter doughnut filled with butter icing and topped with mini chocolate eggs.
I suggest taking some of these goodies to go. So you can enjoy it after exploring the county

Please also make sure to share a basket of bread, served with butter. They have they're own special way of making butter. They use a fermentation process that adds an almost caramel candied taste to the butter. I'm going back just for the bread and butter.
The restaurant is located centrally in Bloomfield. If you're too full for dessert, have a walk around town and circle back to Slicker's Icecream, a legend in this quaint town.

My favourite is the Maple Whisky and County Cassis. The owners are very knowledgeable and carefully explained the ingredients and process used for each item. They also made amazing suggestions on how to mix the drinks.

If you like sweet sparkling wine you can't go wrong with their Ancestral Sparkling Wine. I have a bottle in my fridge right now.
Kinsip recommended a mix of sparkling wine with their Cassis. I'll be trying this mix very soon.
If you are in the county during the summer, give this winery a visit. They serve food (oysters :O) in their outdoor patio.

This artisinal cheese shop is a bit of a drive from our house, but well worth the trip. It's located in the Waupoos area and on the way you can also visit Waupoos winery, which is beautifully located by the lake.
They make their own cheese on-site. There is even a viewing window where you can see the cheese cellar.
The shop itself is small, but their award winning cheese have a very bold taste. Give the buffalo and smoked cheese a try. There are plenty of samples available.

4309 County Road 8This artisinal cheese shop is a bit of a drive from our house, but well worth the trip. It's located in the Waupoos area and on the way you can also visit Waupoos winery, which is beautifully located by the lake.
They make their own cheese on-site. There is even a viewing window where you can see the cheese cellar.

A gorgeous drive to lake on the mountain should be included in your trip to PEC.
On one side there is small lake on the mountain and on the other side is the bigger lake surrounding the island.
There are 2 restaurants in the area, my favourite is the Miller house. You can enjoy some local wine and cheese on their patio, while soaking in the gorgeous view.
A trip to PEC wouldn't be complete without a visit to sandbanks. This place is very popular in the summer.
It's a great place to swim and enjoy the unique sandy beach. There are different parking areas for sandbanks. In my opinion the most unique is the Dunes.
It's not everywhere in Ontario where you can see sand dunes like this!

A trip to PEC wouldn't be complete without a visit to sandbanks. This place is very popular in the summer.
It's a great place to swim and enjoy the unique sandy beach. There are different parking areas for sandbanks. In my opinion the most unique is the Dunes.
It's not everywhere in Ontario where you can see sand dunes like this!
