A proper little theatre seating just under 200. Definitely worth a visit with productions on regularly, and a licensed bar. The theatre has disabled access and a hearing loop.

Everything Else

It's not every day you get to visit an astronomical observatory! Exhibitions, special events, a lovely cafe, and the world famous Lovell Telescope. Can't promise you'll come away as knowledgeable as Professor Brian Cox but it is fascinating all the same!

Sightseeing

Any Mr Darcy fans out there? Yes I thought there might be! In that case, Lyme Park is a must if you have transport. Only half an hour away, and if Mr Darcy happens to be conspicuous by his absence then there's plenty of other distractions at this beautiful National Trust property. Glorious house and gardens, special events, particularly during the school holidays, and a tea room with lots of cake.

Shopping

Held on the last Sunday of every month. the Treacle Market brings together an eclectic mix of stalls to browse. There's antiques, vintage, arts and crafts, garden furniture, plants, paintings, photographs and live music. And there's food. Lots of yummy food. Forgo breakfast, or lunch, before your visit and you'll be very glad you did.
