Skiing/Snowboarding around Innsbruck

Skiing/Snowboarding around Innsbruck

Ski Places

Close to Innsbruck and easily accessible by car or public transport within half an hour drive. The skiing area is big and even connected with 2 others named "Mutterer Alm" and "Nockspitzbahn - Götzens". BE AWARE that this connection only brings you one-way. In order to get back to Axamer Lizum you would have to take a bus. If you're travelling public anyway, there are buses in both the other places that are even closer to the city.

The "Empire State Building of Innsbruck" is also there for skiing. Take the cable way either to the top restaurant ("Seegrube") or the peak of Nordkette ("Hafele Kar"). This skiing place I recommend to experienced skiers and free riders.

It's tracks are ideal for both beginners as well as advanced skiers and snowboarders. It's as fun to go there alone, as it is with family and friends. They offer free public transport from main station (only free if you wear skiing outfit).

The "Houseberg" of Innsbruck's locals. It's both loved and hated for it's latest project: New cable car + stations which costs exploded, but is now in very good condition. Great view of the city from above and Nordkette (Seegrube) from South side of the valley.
