Parks & Nature

Oxleas Woods, SE18 accessed via Kenilworth Gardens, just at the top of Shrewsbury Lane. There is a small car park and a cafe (cash only!). Loads of amazing views over Kent, walks in the meadows and ancient woodland. There are also some outdoor gym machines sponsored by Adidas for those who like to stay active. So if you're into walking, worth visiting is the rose garden and Sevendrog Castle with some amazing history. You can read up on the history of Shooters Hill. It's much friendlier place these days compared to the times of petty thieves and highwaymen!
