Great food and great location. Try the "Frigideira de Bacalhau", its an appetizer but it's so big that it can be a main dish as well. Suitable for vegetarians as well.

Chef Avillez is one of the recently awarded Portuguese chefs for the Michelin Stars. A must try is the "Bacalhau à Brás", a typical portuguese dish that by the hands of this chef becomes a very exquisite dish. Ask for the lunch menu if you go there at lunch time, the price is much nicer than the regular menu, 12,50€/per person. Vegetarian options

One of the best restaurants in town. At lunch time they have a menu for 6,50€, and it's usually 2 menu options. Dinner time is dedicated to what we call "Petiscos", which is similar to the Spanish tapas. Order small portions to share with your party and enjoy a great wine. Great vegetarian options as well.

For those that prefer having a light meal instead of a hot meal. The lunch menu is very good since for only 5€ you have the daily soup, a sandwich or a salad and one beverage. The sandwiches are quite exquisite.

One of the most iconic "Tascas" (tasca is what we call a snack bar) of Porto. The "tascas" are usually famous for the informal decor and the very good food. This one doesn't fall behind all of these characteristic, there's no table service and treatment can be rather rough. The food however is totally worth it! Try the meat and cheese sandwiches.
