Great place, yet unassuming, to sit outside and have a cold beer with made to order "bolinhos de bacalhau" (codfish fritters). Very affordable (5 reais per "bolinho" and around 12 for the liter of beer). Classic after beach Carioca lifestyle. One of my all time favorites.

Arp is the hotel's beach bar and restaurant, right in front of Arpoador beach. Nice food and drinks. Very trendy. Has open air sitting arrangements overlooking Arpoador beach. Highly recommended.
