Whalley is a large village nestled at the foot of the Whalley Nab. It is a 20 minute walk from the apartment or a 5 minute drive. Along the Main Street and cobbled side alleys there are numerous small and independent restaurants and takeaways with a thriving retail scene. Within the village are the ruins of Whalley Abbey. It has a local SPAR and CO-OP and a pharmacy. Train station is a 15 minute walk from the apartment. It has direct links to Clitheroe, Blackburn and Manchester Victoria. Whalley is ideally situated to explore nearby Pendle hill and the Forest of Bowland which is an area of outstanding natural beauty.
