Wonderful view and a nice walk into the Cove and back along the Marginal Way. Food is kid and adult friendly. Fresh caught lobster from their own traps.

Very pretty albeit considerably smaller beach than Ogunquit. Quaint downtown and a fun food and bar scene.

Another beautifully quaint town just across the NH border from Maine. Great food, walking, and a beautiful port. Since NH is tax free, the liquor stores are good for those on a budget. Market Basket in Portsmouth is a wonderful and huge grocery store for those on a budget as well. It is about a 20 minute drive from Ogunquit, depending on traffic.

City advice

Getting around

Walking or trolley if you're skipping the car.

Watch out for Playhouse traffic going in and out of town, during evenings and matinees. C&J bus lines (in Portsmouth) offer affordable service in and out of Boston for those wanting a day trip to the big city. Can park and ride.
