great for coffee and cake or breakfast. Very popular and only a few tables so you may have to wait for one to become available. I recommend the waffles if you have a sweet tooth!

easy and convenient online booking. Opens for breakfast in addition to lunch and dinner. Not as expensive as you might think. I recommend the grilled kipper for breakfast - when in Rome!

bit of a local institution and so much more than a tea room: obviously showcases the traditional cream tea and cakes but also serves a menu of full plated meals for breakfast and lunch in addition to lighter bites such as sandwiches etc. Cakes and gifts to take away too.

All the standing stones in the area are taken from a solid cap of stone that covered the whole area thousands of years ago. During the ice age, glaciers broke up this stone cap and left fields of large stones scattered. Know as Sarsen stones, Piggle Dene is one of the few remaining unmolested fields of naturally scattered Sarsens, the majority having been grubbed up for building materials over the centuries. Piggle Dene is a unique little landscape but is unfortunately virtually inaccessible by car due to there being zero parking whatsoever and is also quite a long walk from anywhere nearby you might be able to park
