The university is over 400 years old. Beautiful grounds and buildings, great free exhibitions in the science gallery, and visit the fantastic ok'd library which houses the book of Kells (entrance fee of about 15 euro)

This very expensive hotel hosts an amazing art collection. Ask for a brochure at the desk and if they are not busy they do show you around. Take time to enjoy a tea or coffee in the lounge afterwards or splash out on their art themed afternoon tea!
