Family-friendly holiday rentals in San Carlos

La finca es mucho mejor de lo que se ve en las fotos, tiene una vista increíble, es muy cómoda y espaciosa, con buenas amenidades. María la host fue muy amable. Por mejorar diría que la comunicación antes del hospedaje no era muy fluida, pero durante la estadía todo fue excelente.

Beautiful private location tucked away on a hill. Has lots of unique elements and the home feels very traditional and authentic. Very colorful and the views were stunning. The town of Guatape is about 30 minutes away. The road getting in is paved until the last portion which is a bit bumpy and steep but our normal sedan made its way through. Location has access to the lake and a cute boat house at the bottom. The host was very nice and responsive. All in all, this is a nice place for a weekend getaway with some friends or family.

Excelente lugar para descansar, la ubicación perfecta, la piscina y el jacuzzi nos encantaron y la comunicación con Laura co- anfitriona desde el primer momento súper dispuesta a ayudarnos. Nos encantaría volver 😊 nos sorprendimos con todo, mucho mejor de los que esperamos.

Un super logement spacieux et très agréable. Nous avons eu des difficultés à trouver la localisation du logement mais l’hôte nous a rapidement contacté pour nous venir en aide. Elle était très accueillante et notre séjour s’est très bien passé merci beaucoup

We could not have asked for a better experience. From beginning to end, Lina and her parents were very helpful and kind. The home and the yard were exceptionally beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed a wood-burning fire every night on the patio, our favorite way to end every day. It was a short easy walk to the local shops, restaurants, and bars. We would highly recommend this home to anyone who enjoys serenity, local life and adventures. Thank you Lina, Jairo and Maragarita.

Apartamento muy acogedor, y ubicado en un excelente lugar, súper cerca a todo y con linda vista… súper recomendado

El lugar es tranquilo, muy cómodo, con lo necesario para pasar un buen momento en familia. Tanto la Anfitriona como la cuidadora de la finca son personas muy atentas y dispuestas.

If you are looking for an out of the way escape from the city and a real country or “finca” experience, this is your place. However, I would recommend driving or renting an SUV with decent ground clearance. The place is very easy to find with Waze GPS or Google Maps by searching “Hato the Farm”. No four wheel drive needed, but the dirt road to the place has spots where a low car will definitely scrap bottom if you’re not careful. The dirt road is maintained and used by the municipality and locals, so it’s not impassible. We rented a car at the airport to get there, and everything went well, but if you’re not used to dirt roads and winding roads, this will be a learning experience! :-) The place itself was an open floor plan with plenty of space to sleep 12+ people. Everything was clean and well maintained and the local caretaker (Sonia) was extremely sweet and helpful for all our needs. If you’re lucky and nice enough :-) , she can point you to local spots for swimming and hiking that are off the beaten path and empty of people, but full of amazing views, cold mountain water for swimming, and a true Colombian countryside experience that was enjoyable and as safe as any place I’ve visited. The local tienda (general store) will deliver without cost of delivery for whatever food and drink you need, although tipping the delivery boy is a good idea. The property had many different varieties of fruit trees, which we were invited to pick for super and delicious fresh orange juice in the morning or whatever else you can pick. Overall, staying in Manuel’s place was an amazing and relaxing experience and we will return and rent the place again! Although, we’ll make sure to get a vehicle with higher ground clearance for the road up.

Un lugar increíble, el paisaje espectacular, la cabaña excelente y la atención de las personas del complejo muy buena, excelente todo, un sitio para regresar sin ninguna duda

Tuve una estancia excelente en este lugar, perfecto para una pareja, ya sea para una estadía corta o larga. La ubicación es ideal: a solo minutos del centro comercial Llano Grande y cerca de todo lo que puedas necesitar. La zona es tranquila, segura y muy apacible. Además, está a solo 10 minutos en Uber de cualquier parte de Rionegro, lo que lo hace muy conveniente para moverse. ¡Muy recomendable!

This top floor of the hotel is perfect for a big group, lots of rooms, hot water, close to the water and to the restaurants and shops in town. Alejandra was super helpful if you need infos to organize something and always cordial. Would stay there again if I return to Guatape

La finca tiene un paisaje privilegiado, muchos animales, lo único por mejorar es el tema de los murciélagos ya que la casa tiene varios nidos de murciélago, doña Mariela es una persona muy amable y dispuesta siempre, con seguridad volvería.

La mejor relación precio calidad posible, tener a disposición quien nos asistiera con temas cotidianos fue clave. Totalmente recomendado para cualquiera

La finca tiene muy buena dotación, es impecable, todo en excelente estado, es más linda que en las fotos, Don Fernando el encargado demasiado amable y atento, recomendada 100%.
