Cabin holiday rentals in San Carlos

This place is magical! The property is very well maintained with lush greens and massive swimming pool. It got everything you need, a small kitchen, big bed, clean bathroom. A lot shared space to hang out and chill. AND a chance to see sloth on the property. The host and property manager is super welcoming and friendly. The fresh milk and eggs are nice touches to make the stay feels like home. Highly recommend to everyone!

We had such a wonderful stay at Meylin and Bernard’s cabin! From the moment we arrived, Meylin was incredibly friendly and responsive. When our car unexpectedly needed a jump, Bernard was at our door within minutes, happy to help — we were so grateful for their kindness and hospitality. The property itself is unbelievable. The cabin is perfectly situated with the raw jungle behind you and a charming farm filled with all kinds of animals in front. If you love nature and animals, this place is a dream. During our stay, we saw so many sloths (including one right outside the bedroom window!) that we felt no need to join any of the sloth tours in town — the wildlife literally came to us! Overall, this was the perfect romantic escape and an ideal base for exploring La Fortuna’s breathtaking sights and hot springs. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and peaceful experience surrounded by nature.

Beautiful place! We could not have been happier with this cabin. Only thing I would say is make sure you turn right leaving here, because the road is difficult going the other way. It was very clean, safe, and a gorgeous location.

We had a lovely stay. The place is amazing with a great outside area. John was very helpful with any questions we had. We would have loved to stay longer!

The place is beautiful and the view spectacular, everything clean. Same as photos. We recommend taking a large cart.

Ok, the place and the host are perfect. The problem is that it says San Ramón and maybe it happens to them as we imagine it as close to San Ramón center, but no! Literally, it is Peñas Blancas, it is about 20 or 25 minutes from Fortuna, so if you think of something closer, it is complicated because it takes more than 3 hours from San José. So, for them to take it into account, but it's totally worth it! The cabin, the river, everything was great, to be honest

My wife and I chose this unit for our honeymoon, the space was extremely beautiful and lush. The giant windows opening up into the La fortuna jungle was breathtaking. We spent every evening in the jacuzzi listening to the wildlife and sounds of La fortuna. Fernando had great recommendations and was very friendly. We’re looking forward to returning to this special place.

Waking up to the serene sounds of the wildlife and taking in the stunning views of the lush forests and peaceful waterfalls from our private patio was truly a treat for the soul. We felt like we were in our own little paradise, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Jeremy's excellent communication and genuine care for his guests made our stay even more memorable. His insider tips on the best hiking trails and local dining spots enhanced our experience.

We spent 5 nights at Maria’s and can’t say enough positive things. The cabin is clean & perfect for 2. The deck was relaxing and the back yard provided great pictures of monkeys, lizards, & Toucans!! Maria’s hospitality & amazing cooking was the best part. We felt like a part of the family & well taken care of. I felt secluded yet safe. I would definitely return to her farm. Side note, this is a farm so you will hear cows & roosters but that never bothered us.

If you are like me, always looking for views and sunsets don’t think twice! This comfortable little mountain home has by far the best views we have found so far in Monteverde. We usually head out at sunset time looking for a good spot but this stay we spent every evening watching the spectacular and ever changing panorama from our own front porch. Super comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Would like to add Waze will get you to the lower gate (search Casa del sol, Unnamed road). Just continue on the unpaved road and you will get there! Village is called Altos de Cebadilla.

The house is amazing. We used it to stay during our wedding in San Gerardo. It's super close and has 2 spacious rooms where each bride and groom can get ready and the space is perfect for pre- and post-wedding photographs. We loved it.

This property was absolutely stunning and peaceful! We were able to see some wildlife such as birds, frogs, fishes and cows. Johan was very quick to respond and proactive.

Great place with lots of privacy and also close to a town to get what you need. Beautiful views of are am volcano and other spots. Recommended!

Jose’s place was just like the pictures, incredible! It really feels like you are in the middle of the jungle, you can hear all of the different types of animals, it’s amazing!

For the moment we saw we knew it was for us everything was spotless well equipped with everythingwe need it Mony was very nice to work and communicate with very quick to respond

Silvia was a great host and facilitated a few tours for us. Lovely trails and cabin. Definitely recommend.

We only stayed at Miriam's place for 2 nights but it was great. The place is very very clean and tidy. Only the chemical scent fresheners that were scattered everywhere disturbed us. After we removed it, it was really great. Especially in the morning to sit outside and listen to nature. All attractions around La Fortuna can be reached quickly and easily by car. There are plenty of restaurants and Miriam is also very happy to help. It also offers to arrange tours more cheaply, which we did not use. Miriam is making every effort to make you feel completely comfortable. We would stay with her again.

This cabin is super cute and cozy! It has the perfect location, super close to all of the restaurants and attractions. The bathroom is stunning and super unique, keep in mind it is sort of open so it feels like you are showering in the middle of the trees; however, that makes it super special and relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful view, the place is very nice and far from the noise. I would recommend a 4x4 to get there without any problems. Pura Vida!

This was by far my favorite place we stayed during our trip to Costa Rica. Waking up to the sunrise, volcano view, and birds chirping was just what we wanted for an escape from the city. Not to mention all the hummingbirds in the garden surrounding the cabin. Mario was also an amazing host. We spent hours talking about Costa Rica, his farm, and anything else that came up. 10/10, would definitely recommend staying here.
