“Our family had a very wonderful and memorable stay at Sambali Beach Farm. We arrived there on a very rainy weekend, there was flooding on the roads along the way from Laguna to Zambales. But when we reached the farm we were welcomed with excellent food, excellent hospitality and felt well cared for. We knew that rainy season was not the ideal season to visit Sambali when we booked the resort, but we just wanted a fun family getaway that coincided with our last weekend before returning home to Texas. We spent a vast majority of our time indoors in each others company. We were never bored though. We kept ourselves entertained with the board games they had in the living room, our kids learned to play sungka, and both kids and adults had fun playing charades and card games. It was really a relaxing weekend, all of us got to unplug from our devices, (even though the wifi was more than adequate), and just enjoy one anothers company. I have to mention that the place was so relaxing, the couches are very inviting, it was very easy to cozy up and take a nap. We regret not being able to use the lounge chairs outside and dine al fresco at the beach or terrace because of the rain, but the main house itself was a delight. We loved the wood furnishings, the hanging baskets, and colorful dining chairs. The star of the entire stay was the food. It was definitely the highlight of our stay. We were well fed the entire time, and every dish prepared was delicious, the ingredients fresh and you can tell there was a lot of care and expertise in preparing each dish. If you ask if we had any negative experiences we really don’t have a lot to say, maybe a couple of suggestions that’s all. A few of us had insect bites, not just mosquito bites but some other little insects. Two members of the group were apparently allergic but I had brought Benedryl and Hydrocortisone cream, aside from insect repellent. The staff had citronella candles lit to ward off the insects and even brought out a bottle of insect repellent for us to use which we appreciated a lot. But we all knew that mosquitos and other insects are part and parcel when you commune with nature, and I am sure the wet weather didn’t help. My only suggestion maybe is to prepare future guests for the possibility of insect bites so that they too can bring repellent or anti-itch cream like we did. We had a little trouble manuevering the coaster that we had brought in the narrow streets because Waze directed the driver a different route (the road towards the annex). You provided directions on your email, but for drivers using “Waze” that path can be misleading. But luckily we were shown the right direction by one of your staff, despite the rain. Also the coaster couldn’t fit in the entrance archway but they opened another gate for us to enter. Perhaps another suggestion would be to warn guests who would be bringing bigger vehicles about the narrow paths and archway. But these concerns are really neglible and didn’t keep us from having a good time. We thank you all for your thoughtfulness and warm hospitality. We hope to be able to visit the farm again in the future, and hopefully during better weather.”

“Unbeatable location for trekking to Mount Pinatubo. Very clean place and spacious room. Allan is very kind. To improve, not of the accommodation, but of the trekking that Allan organizes: during the trek we made the ascent too fast, without time to enjoy the landscape or take pictures (the guide went quickly without looking back to see how we were doing and it was impossible to follow him if you do not hurry). Actually the climb is only half an hour and then we had all morning free to see the top and descend, so it was not necessary to run so much, because we left the time and arrived back at 12 noon. We would have liked to enjoy the landscape more during the way and not to take it as a race, because we are on vacation and it is not a trekking of hours that we have to keep pace to get back to the time.”

“The communication was super quick. With google maps (better use Waze), we were able to reach the place easily with no hassles. The place looks exactly like it does on the pictures- I should say even more beautiful! The plants all around the place are lovely. We now consider this place as our second home. We are so happy that our children had a great time swimming and exploring the place. John and his wife are the most thoughtful, gracious hosts. They showed us around. They went way beyond to make our quick family break comfortable and memorable. The place is just perfect to have a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. We will definitely go back to this place often. We would 1000% recommend a stay here.”
