“Our stay was great. It was a great eco friendly stay. Everything was clean and they provide all amenities needed. There’s a/c, coffee, little books to read and relax. We loved the decor simple industrial feel with privacy. There’s a patio area to enjoy the evening. Juan helped with anything we needed. Definitely recommend for a great Valle stay. “When we booked a weekend at Casa de Tierra, we were looking for peace and quiet—a place to withdraw from the bustle and reflect. We got that, for sure. But there’s more to this place than peace: there’s magic. The property is at the end of a well-maintained dirt road, behind a big white gate in the chaparral. There we were greeted by Bruno, a wizard in a dog’s body who led us to the house at a trot, looking back every few seconds to make sure we were following. We parked, and he gave a quick woof of welcome before running off to his next errand. The house itself seems to rise from the earth, brown and curvy in all the right places, with shady nooks and an abundance of plant life. In its uniqueness it’s a reflection of its builder: a spritely soul and an artist by birth, Vivianne’s presence can be felt in every detail. From the home-made essential oils and house wine by the door, to the fairy gardens outside the bedroom window and the sprigs of rosemary in the bathroom, there’s thoughtfulness everywhere…a sense that the whole house is there to take care of you. The shower smells of wet earth after a rain, and the only sound at night is the wind and a far-off coyote. The peace all this brings about is transcendent—something way past relaxation. We’d happily spend a week or a month in the shade of Vivianne’s arbor, watching hummingbirds and listening to our own thoughts. This is a place for inspiration and renewal. >>”
