Very close to all the places to visit in San Juan La Laguna. Very clean and tidy. Very comfortable bed, clean and in good condition. Private bathroom. I would definitely stay in this place again.

The room was very spacious and very fragrant when we arrived. The bed was huge and so were the pillows. Good, smelly linens. There is a space with a large table and water heater. Filtered water is available. Mrs. Elena and her husband are very kind and helpful. They offered to clean the room and change bed linen and towels. Good internet and excellent location. Price is worth the price. The only observation is that the cleaning of common areas and shared bathrooms should be done more often.

Staying at Jardin de Katy is a must if you are spending any time in San Juan La Laguna. The garden is so lovely. I especially loved relaxing in the hammocks. Plenty of clean water and a whole kitchen to utilize. Hosts are super helpful and can arrange transportation for you. They're also just plain kind. This is also a language school and they have activities. I was kindly invited to join them from one, but I was busy at the time. It felt like my home while I was there. The only caveat I will make is that you remember where you are when staying anywhere in Guatemala. There are a lot of animals in the area. Animals make noise. Dogs, cats, roosters, and a host of other birds

Absolutely stunning views. Great hosts, everyone was so helpful and immediately responded to anything we asked, we so appreciated their attentiveness. The views from here cannot be beat, wake up just before sunrise and watch. The restaurant had the best food we had in San Marcos actually. And maybe my favorite thing - their jacuzzi was actually extremely clean and well maintained! I’m picky about this. This water was pristine and treated. Perfection in the early mornings. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

This is a family stay, with shared public spaces. We did not end up spending much time with the family, as we were visiting some of our own, but Chema’s family was very lovely and welcoming!

Bany was the best Airbnb host we have ever encountered! He was so friendly helpful and responsive. The room was lovely, spacious and clean with the most amazing view! (I think possibly the best from that side of the lake!) We enjoyed waking up to a spectacular sunrise. The house is still being renovated but Bany provides cold water, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a microwave which we appreciated. It was excellent value for money and I wish Bany every success with his business in the future.

This was a great location to reach both San Pedro and San Juan. Like the other reviews, the rocky walkway up might be a hassle for some people, but was not a major issue for us. The host was extremely responsive and helpful, offering to assist us with our luggage up and down. He also gave us recommendations and gave advice when asked for. View is great to wakeup to. Was also a nice TV with streaming services included. Good wifi. Julian made the trip much better. It is always nice to have a host like this. The downsides were no hot water, and the room got quite stuffy and humid — likely because of the weather. It was uncomfortable to sleep at times because everything felt sticky, despite the powerful fan. The bed was also not very comfortable, but it did the trick. Kayaks included were quite bad condition and the location on the lake for kayaking is not great. My review is primarily based on the host and location between towns.
