“My husband and I visited last October however he was ill at the time and so did not experience the magic that is Balinese. This time however we both were able to equally enjoy the location and all its wonders. As usual Mrs. Avey and her team were very polite and hospitable (pets included). The space was very clean. The lush plants are always a sight to behold and the added touch of homemade beer courtesy the 2 Monkeys was very refreshing. Radha was also very nice and even washed up for us. My husband and I are very happy with our stay and cannot wait to return. Hopefully this time we can host our anniversary dinner there. Be sure to have your insect repellent especially when dining outside in the evening. If you aren't a fan of dogs this isn't the place for you.”

“We had three stays with Ally over our two and a half week holiday, most of our nights being with her. For us, she and the place were great. The honesty and straightforwardness evident in her description are indicative of her personality. She says it how she see it. If you need somewhere not expensive, conveniently located, friendly, homely, genuinely shared, we'd commend Ally wholeheartedly. If you want something like a hotel with associated luxury, this is probably not for you. Examples of what's good: 'I'm going shopping, can I get you anything?'; allowing us to leave our suitcases there when we went to another part of the island for two nights; Ally is also an extremely good guide (esp. to bird-life) and for fair prices will provide that service, though she's not pushy about it. She took us to the Caroni Swamp, the Asa Wright Centre, and the Pitch Lake. Her knowledge of Trinidad is excellent. You have full use of a well equipped kitchen and a good fridge. There's a good breakfast stall less than 100 metres from the house. We took earplugs in the light of the listing, but after the first night didn't use them and slept very well - though there is traffic noise, it did not trouble us. Very light sleepers might struggle. We are in our early 60s, not youngsters.”
A perfect place for eco-tourists and bird enthusiasts looking for a relaxing spot to explore the northern range on foot from. We are situated at the base of El Tucuche, fabled in Amerindian lore as a sacred mountain. The studio is large and comfortable with good views and perfectly located for guests seeking to explore the island. The apartment also has a PS4 and projector system with Netflix.
“Beautiful studio with thoughtful touches. I especially loved the super high ceiling as it makes the already large space feel even bigger. The studio comes with everything that you could possibly want and then some. The wifi is super fast, the outdoor gazebo is private and a great place to read or just relax with friends. The bed is extremely comfortable as well. Marcus and Chantal are super hosts. Super easy to communicate with and very thoughtful. I recently spent a month there and it was literally perfect.”
