“My family and I spent an amazing time at this Airbnb at lake atitlan. The staff were amazing and helped us with any questions we needed. The house itself was amazing and was like we had our own mansion! Pool tables, ping pong, card games, tv...it has it all. We also made the journey down to the docks to spend some time in the jacuzzi and jumping in the lake. Amazing house and amazing host. 100% recommended!”
LA CASA COLIBRI Overview: La Casa Colibri ‘The Hummingbird House’ was designed to take in the lake views from every room in the house, cascading down the mountainside with huge amounts of glass framing in the panoramic views of Lake Atitlan and surrounding, perfectly cone-shaped volcanoes. Description: La Casa Colibri ‘The Hummingbird House’ was designed to take in the lake views from every room in the house, cascading down the mountainside with huge amounts of glass framing in the panoramic views of Lake Atitlan and surrounding, perfectly cone-shaped volcanoes. At approximately 5200 feet above sea level, the Lake Atitlan area enjoys year-round spring-like weather (70s to low 80s during the day and 60s at night). Although temperatures remain relatively constant throughout the year the weather is marked by two distinctive seasons: the rainy season (May to October) and the dry season (November to April). During the rainy season the mountains and volcanoes surrounding the lake are verdant green. The mornings are generally crystal clear, while the afternoons bring spectacular showers that are a sight to behold as they roll in over the lake. During the dry season it is rare to receive any precipitation at all. La Casa Colibri has five luxurious guest rooms each with en-suite bath. Four rooms have spacious balconies overlooking the lake. Two rooms have deep soak tubs with separate showers. STANDARD RATES:NIGHTLY (MIN 1 NIGHT): $395.00 for 1 to 6 guests ($20 per night per guest over six guests) WEEKLY RATE: $2568.00 for 1 to 6 guests ($20 per night per guest over six guests) EASTER WEEK AND YEAR-END RATES (week preceding Easter and from Dec. 15 - 31): NIGHTLY RATE: $595.00 for 1 to 6 guests ($20 per night per guest over six guests) 4 night minimum stay WEEKLY RATE: $3868.00 for 1 to 6 guests ($20 per night per guest over six guests)
“This place is stunning! The house is a beautiful design combining old and new, and surrounding a palm tree. There are 5 rooms, 4 with views. And what views! The windows and design facing the lake brought the volcanos and scenes up close and personal. One of the bathrooms was massive with a sunken tub and views straight over the lake through beautiful tall windows. The pool was cozy and the water warms up a bit when you take advantage of the awesome low-ceilinged sauna next to it. There are several fireplaces and they were all ready to light fires and well stocked with firewood. One slight challenge is the steep and narrow entry road (our car wouldn't make it up the hill), but the staff were extremely helpful in getting all our stuff up the hill, and our car was safely parked. The beautiful design of the house includes multiple stairways, so (as indicated in the description) people must be able to make it up and down stairs. That said, my 89 year old father in law didn't have any problems navigating the stairs, but others might. The staff were really over the top incredible. We opted to have all our meals cooked for us (Angela is the main cook) and they were absolutely delicious and bountiful! Daniel, Danny, and the other staff were quick to respond to any and every request with pleasure. We really can't say enough good things about this place! There are a couple of hammocks on the roof as well, and lots of space everywhere. While this may be pricier than some other places on the Lake, I have no reservations about whole-heartedly recommending it as an amazing value. We had 10 members of our extended family together, and we all can't stop raving about it!”

“Thank you Susan Marie and Diego for being great hosts! My friends and I loved staying in your beautiful home (and we had no issues with bugs!). Diego helped us arrange a private airport shuttle, boat transportation around the lake, and a shuttle to Antigua. He and Susan Marie were very responsive to all of my messages and very helpful throughout our time in Guatemala! We felt safe and well taken care of during our trip. There was a little bit of confusion with some of the shuttle pricing, so be sure to confirm private transportation pricing with Diego before your arrival to avoid any miscommunication. Highly recommend this air bnb if you're looking for something off the beaten path!”
