The cabin is beautiful, as shown in the photographs; everything is very clean, tidy and the atmosphere is extremely quiet, ideal for resting and disconnecting from the routine. Privacy is perceived at all times. Regarding the usefulness of the services offered, the well-equipped kitchen for cooking and all the items worked, the jacuzzi in optimal condition and the hot water always impeccable. Very nice place, to return without a doubt.

Marinella and her husband Jhon made sure that our time at their farm was as relaxing and peaceful as possible. They were extremely attentive and ensured that our every need was met. From the moment they picked us up from the airport to the check in process everything was impeccable. The cabin matched the pictures perfectly and had all of the listed amenities. Very easy to get food and groceries delivered and less than twenty minutes from Rio Negro. Would highly recommend staying here if you are looking to wind back and relax for a few days.

Great for a romantic stay!

The site is beautiful, has a great location, very close to the river. Carmen is a very friendly person, very attentive always for the client to be well and have everything you need for their stay, in addition to delicious cuisine. My family and pets were happy and very much enjoyed, we look forward to returning soon.

The place is as described, with a beautiful view. Henry was very attentive and always willing to help. As a recommendation, bring mosquito repellent and keep in mind that sometimes you can hear music from nearby farms. Overall, a good experience ✨

This place offered us a very pleasant stay, all its rooms with comfortable beds and blankets, the spacious social area, everything is very clean, we felt very comfortable.

If you are looking for an out of the way escape from the city and a real country or “finca” experience, this is your place. However, I would recommend driving or renting an SUV with decent ground clearance. The place is very easy to find with Waze GPS or Google Maps by searching “Hato the Farm”. No four wheel drive needed, but the dirt road to the place has spots where a low car will definitely scrap bottom if you’re not careful. The dirt road is maintained and used by the municipality and locals, so it’s not impassible. We rented a car at the airport to get there, and everything went well, but if you’re not used to dirt roads and winding roads, this will be a learning experience! :-) The place itself was an open floor plan with plenty of space to sleep 12+ people. Everything was clean and well maintained and the local caretaker (Sonia) was extremely sweet and helpful for all our needs. If you’re lucky and nice enough :-) , she can point you to local spots for swimming and hiking that are off the beaten path and empty of people, but full of amazing views, cold mountain water for swimming, and a true Colombian countryside experience that was enjoyable and as safe as any place I’ve visited. The local tienda (general store) will deliver without cost of delivery for whatever food and drink you need, although tipping the delivery boy is a good idea. The property had many different varieties of fruit trees, which we were invited to pick for super and delicious fresh orange juice in the morning or whatever else you can pick. Overall, staying in Manuel’s place was an amazing and relaxing experience and we will return and rent the place again! Although, we’ll make sure to get a vehicle with higher ground clearance for the road up.
