House holiday rentals in Sand City

This place was exactly what my family needed for our beach getaway! The layout of the house is so cozy and it felt like a home away from home. The 180’ of ocean views was truly amazing. We watched a pod of humpback whales go back and forth throughout the day and got to watch a feeding frenzy of thousands of birds all from the balcony! We drove 20 minutes to Henry Cowell Redwoods State park and walked around Pacific Ave in Santa Cruz. From the spot we walked to the beach (with all our boogie boards, sand toys, towels, umbrella, etc.), took advantage of Venus’ happy hour and really didn’t need to use our car for two days! This will definitely be a spot we stay at again!

This spacious home was absolutely beautiful for our stay! We especially appreciated the amenities that the home provided. Specifically, the pool and vast dining spaces were a perfect match for our large family. The location was in a quiet neighborhood, central to the attractions we wanted to see including downtown San Fransisco and the Winchester house. The homeowner was great with communication throughout the booking and check in/out process. Overall, we had a lovely stay in this gorgeous home.

The decor was delightful! Very well outfitted with everything you need.beds super comfy. Really good size. We had more than enough room. I appreciate that Crystal saw no issue with my service dog joining us. I was a bit disappointed that you had to be on the balcony to see the beach. There was a complex in the front blocking most of the view from indoors. I also had issue with parking. The garage was only for small cars and the street parking was inconsistent and required several steps. My handicapped daughter found it a bit difficult. The area was not easily walked being on a very very steep hill. I wish there were more info in the description. All in all, it was a gorgeous place and really clean, highly recommend for non handicapped folks.

Cute house. Would advise driving during daylight tho, the roads are extremely windy and challenging at night. We had a tough time driving up in the dark. The amenities like hot tub were great. House was as described! Easy to use amenities. Would advise bringing a jacket on April.

We were in town for a weekend of trail racing and Valentina's place was perfect. It was less than a mile from our event at Toro Park and on a nice, quiet street. The place was very comfortable and the outdoor area was excellent for recovery and relaxing on Saturday. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for 5 of us. Valentina was very responsive throughout the entire process, I really appreciated her. Great place to stay!

It was beautiful, private, and a hidden gem! We had lots of fun and enjoyed all the views throughout the house. The house is even better than the pictures. We had our 2 boys, had plenty to do between the beach, books, basketball, spa, ping pong, and games! We definitely recommend and would go back! Not to mention I love artichokes and this house is located in artichoke city!! So amazing!! 10/10 you won’t be disappointed!

Cozy home. Perfect place to stay with our dogs as the fenced yard is a nice feature. Great communication from hosts & we were even allowed an early check-in at the last minute which was greatly appreciated. We would stay here again.

The copper nest was a great place to stay for our long weekend trip. It was ideally situated 30mins drive from UCSC. The beach house exceeded our expectations, and comfortably accommodated 8 guests. All aspects had been thought about by the host, from the detailed text messages pre arrival through to the prevision of supplies, saving the immediate necessity to go basic food shopping. The house was pleasantly furnished with high end product and the beds were so comfortable. The state beach (only foot steps away) was so peaceful, with barely a sole on this stretch. Both hosts were responsive to any issues or questions. Thank you

Clean, compact and cozy cottage. Clutter free. We stayed three nights with our pets, and this cottage suited us perfectly. A nearby park (Martin Park) provides a destination for a short dog walk, or as the gateway for a longer walk if one is inclined to venture into the neighborhood. Our neighborhood stroll led us to discover a yard landscaped brilliantly with succulents, at the corner of Lowell Street and Mingo Avenue, only one block north of Martin Park.) The cottage's off-street parking brought peace-of-mind, as there were lots of vehicles parked on the street. We had a delightful visit. (If you have an especially large vehicle, inquire of the hosts first about compatibility, as the street is a bit narrow. We were in an average size vehicle and had no problems.)

We stayed here with our three young kids for a vacation in the Monterey area. It’s a lovely well-maintained and well-appointed house in a peaceful residential area that was a great home base for exploring the broader region. The home looks to have been owned by one family for a very long time and is well cared for. The kids loved the yard and we took advantage of the grill, fire pit, and outdoor seating, which are things we don’t have at home in the city. The house includes most things you might need, although the kitchen implements were a bit limiting (as is often the case with rentals). The host was easy to communicate with, checkin was seamless, and checkout instructions were simple and easy to follow. Great experience, would recommend!

Our stay was wonderful. Our two girls especially did not want to leave. Everything was so comfortable and clean, we loved the toys and books, and the projector set up. The architecture and remodeling was beautiful. Appreciate the lack of tacky artwork on the walls. Tracie and Dave were such generous hosts. Hope to be back, thank you!

This is a nice spot close enough to Monterey. This is a nice quiet location with comfy beds.

This was the perfect little getaway for my wife and I’s anniversary. The scenery was beautiful! We loved how secluded and peaceful this place was. The house had everything we needed and the bed was super comfortable. Laurel’s place definitely exceeded our expectations!

Beautiful home that was perfect for our long weekend stay. Marielle greeted us at the home and was so friendly and helpful. Accommodated our ask for early check in and left us fresh flowers and baked treats as a welcome. The home was clean, stocked with everything we need and very comfortable. The view was amazing and such a quick drive into town. Well certainly look forward to staying here in the future and recommending it to friends and family.

Amazing views and a peaceful location—waking up to the ocean and wildlife was unforgettable. This was our hub for exploring Carmel-by-the-Sea and Big Sur. A short 30-40 minute drive to Big Sur for hikes, and just 10 mins to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea for great dinners. There’s also a handy general store at the bottom of the hill. A couple of notes: This is one of 4 units on the property. While listed as “entire home,” there’s a unit attached at the rear with a door that opens directly into your space through a hallway (for my wife’s peace of mind, we kept our bedroom door locked at night). Another unit is above, and one more is detached in front. That said, everyone keeps to themselves, and interaction is minimal besides maneuvering past their parked cars in the driveway. Also, screenshot the address and key code—cell service drops near the hill and the turnoff into the property is easy to miss in the dark the first time around. Thanks for hosting us, Emily & Mason! we loved staying here! everything was in excellent condition and looked exactly like the photos, plus you can’t beat the location! the beach was right across the street and walking distance to coffee, shops, food, etc. evan was super responsive and gave very clear, easy to follow instructions for check-in and check-out. highly recommend for your next beach trip!! ☀️

Great location and very clean.

Our family stayed here for our vacation and had a wonderful time. All of the details were thought through from sand toys for the kids to use at the beach to some coloring books for them at check in. The house was perfect for our family - very clean, comfortable and perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed walking down to the ocean every day to watch the fun wildlife and dip our toes in the water. We would definitely stay here again!
